What a beautiful place for events! I was there for a wedding vendors open house event. It was well organized, entertaining, and great vendors were present. The tour was informative, and the staff was very I friendly.

They were so accommodating with coloring books and games. There was also so much room outside for her to run. Its a beautiful place with wonderful people. Thanks for going above and beyond, and making us feel at home.

We just held a tea party baby shower at the Lambermont, with about 30 guests. It simply couldnt have been easier or more perfect. All we had to do was plan a few games, and invite our guests - Erika and her staff took care of all the rest. The setting was both gorgeous and relaxed, and the decorations and flowers were beautiful. The food and beverages were fresh, delicious, and artfully arranged. Everyone had a wonderful time, and several told me it was the most beautiful shower theyd ever attended. This will be the first grandchild, first great-grandchild on both sides of the family, so we are all over the moon excited and really wanted to celebrate in a special way. Thanks to this wonderful venue and its experienced and very professional staff, we were able to do just that. (Note: their event calendar fills up VERY early. We scheduled in December for a shower in May - and Im so glad we did!)

I had the pleasure of working with Dona and her daughter for a high end Spring trunk show event with multiple vendors for my business. This was a full day production event. Dona was kind enough to let us drop off items the night before. Both Dona and her daughter are very professional and both of them made all of us feel welcome. They went above and beyond with customer service. I highly recommend this venue for any cool and unique event. The Lambermont grounds are stunning! We will be back for sure :)

Always love photographing here... Dona and Erica are amazing hosts. Both ladies are extremely knowledgeable regarding weddings and live events and take extreme care of each and every client. By the end of the event, you are less like clients and more like family. And the mansion... the mansion is to die for! Its beautiful from the front door to the back and that includes the first- and second-story wrap-around porches. If youre looking for a romantic, intimate wedding venue with the opportunity to have a wedcation... this is THE PLACE.

I do not recommend this place. PERIOD. We were harassed the entire time and recorded for whatever reasons. We had a shoot booked there until the 6p. We were told that it was allowed to double book us. Not only that, nothing was prepared for us. $5k investment for this shoot and photographers were disrespected to the point, they just left the shoot all together. $5k investment and half the shoot was taken next door at a closed cathedral, simply because she double booked us, didn t want to accommodate us, and forced us out. The owner did not apologize for anything.

The History of the Lambermont states it is haunted by ghost. Whether you believe in that or not does not matter. What it is Haunted with is the Reality of blantant Racisim, Unprofessionalism, Unkindness towards mankind. Being present at the Photoshoot, and witnessing the hostility spewing from owner and her daughter towards the Coordinator and others at the photo shoot was dishearting. It is shameful in 2023 people still think it is okay to behave in such a manner, especially after they have taken your hard earned money to support their lifestyle. Many of the people in attendance are Professionals, having their own businesses and a full time job. So they know the value even in a greater way of taken care of your assets. So, to be recorded while putting items back in place was meant to be degrading only showed their stupidity not ignorance. It begs the question, do they do this to all who utilize their venue? I would say NO! How would they (the owners) like to get the treatment they gave. So keep your venue and its History which no doubt includes Racism to yourselves. ALL PEOPLE SHOULD BE TREATED AS PEOPLE .

I assisted with a styled shoot yesterday. The treatment the team and the coordinator received from the owner was unacceptable. She obviously had an issue with the black vendors. Deep-rooted racism here. Donna and her daughter screamed at one of the photographers, she was crying and left humiliated. The owner was recording us as if we were going to steal from the venue. She also kicked us out before our contractual end time. I am impressed the coordinator kept her composure and remained professional the entire time. She did not deserve the treatment she received from Donna and her daughter.

The one star is primarily because we entered a well maintained historic building. Now the negative...everything else. Upon arrival instead of a calm demeanor we were patronized with the handling of items within the home when told how to move them as if they were just being tossed around. Also be sure to have a copy of your contract handy there is a good chance itll be breached and then told in a rude manor that you need to leave. As Were asked to move additional items back we wore being recorded by one of the family members. Save yourself the trouble.

I wish I could give zero stars. I participated in a styled shoot yesterday and was absolutely blown away by the treatment of my colleagues. It was blatantly obvious the owner and her daughter both had issues with people of color. I haven t seen obvious racism like this in a very long time. That said, I m in awe of the professionalism shown by the coordinator of our event toward someone so vile. I will be sharing this story far and wide because there are so many venues who will treat every business owner, coordinator, photographer, model, etc. with class and dignity. Stay. Away.

Located just across the street from the Fort Sam Houston Quadrangle and Museum, this castle is great to view and looks to have some excellent picturesque opportunities! It is in a residential area. I stopped by and was only able to enjoy the exterior as I was not attending an event. They do not seem to have open hours where we can either tour or explore the castle unless you have an appointment or plan to book an event there. The location is right on a somewhat busy street, so you have to exercise caution when on the sidewalk in the front. I did not stay for more than 10 minutes or so due to this safety concern. Overall it is a beautiful and historical location.

Was disappointed in the Haunted Tavern event. They should have given more details upfront was under the impression wed be inside the castle going from room to room with scary stories and interaction from actors, with cocktails. Instead a lady that wasnt even in costume took us to 4 rooms on the first floor and kept trying to sell us on an upcoming tea party they were having at the castle; it felt very rushed, we were pushed through the house in roughly 10-15 minutes. Then the event, which was just everyone sitting in the cold listening to stories, was outside on the lawn where they gave us 4 mystery drinks (I still dont know what any of them were since there was no drink menu anywhere). There wasnt anything really fun or scary, or interactive about the event. I usually dont leave reviews, but this was just such a bummer for our group

And, its not just paint, its a mixture of plaster and paint on a ceiling while the artist is basically upside down for 25 years. The story of how he was chosen was fascinating too. Today is the last day in San Antonio however, you can catch in the US still. My mom loved the Flood, I liked the the Creation of Adam and the story of Judith. Then the Lambermont Estate in San Antonio.. wow, wow, wow .. they have fun events too. I snapped pictures outside..

They had like 3 fans and the air conditioning you only felt it as soon as you walked in. This exhibit would have been better to show in a museum all the pictures were just too large for the rooms they had them in you really weren t able to take great pics at all. You had to take close ups and so you really couldn t get a whole pic without someone else in the pic. The San Antonio museum of arts of the Witte would have been a much better place to showcase this

We attended the Sistine Chapel event at the Lambermont and It was a wonderful experience. The house is an exhibit by itself that has been wonderfully maintained. A wrap around porch and heavy oak doors begins the experience. Entering into a warm parlor; fireplace with built-in benches on both sides. Stunning wooden stair case with carvings. Friendly staff...self guided tour. There are signs at each display but be sure to rent headphones for more in-depth information. There is limited seating in the different rooms for viewing the displays. Photos are allowed. The exhibit is spread out through the three story home. NOTE: There are stairs to the upper floors, no elevators but the stairs are not steep. I truly enjoyed viewing the home and the exhibit. When I was 10, I visited The Vatican and Sistine chapel and remember the splendor and awe of the beauty and artistry. But this exhibit explained Michelangelos thought process and the chance of up close viewing. Well worth the admission price!

The Michelangelo exhibit was wonderful! I have visited the Sistine Chapel but learned so much more from the headphone and video presentations here. The headphones are well worth the $4 rental. Take your time and learn. The house it is in is lovely.

Attended the Michelangelo s Sistine Chapel: the Exhibition. The event was filled with replica artworks in every room. There were many people but everyone was very conservative and polite. We rented the audio to hear the background stories and glad we made that decision. Stopped at the gift shop and the lady was very polite along with the two women in the front checking people in. Clean and cool inside overall.

This was awesome. But the video going on the bottom floor front room, plus all of the noise of arriving participants kind of spoiled the audio guide. It was better once you got upstairs. Also, I dont know if possible to group consecutively numbered displays together because it seemed that was the order that Michaelangelo worked.

The Sistine Chapel traveling art exhibit was hosted here, and they need to fire whenever thought giant paintings being shoved into tiny rooms crowded with people and dirty old furniture was a good idea. I m sure it s a cool venue for other events, but this was advertised as something with big open spaces to view the art, and this house is nothing like that. An example of people crammed into a room, and a bonus shot of a floor light being used as a door stop, turned away from the art piece, and shining directly into your eyes. Just poor planning all around. It s also 3 stories of staircases, so if you have a disability/wheelchair then you will not be able to enjoy this, a pity they chose to use this place.

I attended the opening session of the Sistine Chapel art exhibit. It is awesome. Very easy directions to Lambermont Events center, with parking on the street. Handicapped parking on side of building. The place is grand, perfectly setup for the exhibit. There is also a gift shop on the second floor, just full of unique goodies. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable about the event. Its a three story facility, so be prepared to go up and down the stairs while viewing the artwork. Love the vintage decor and furniture, really suited the location.

We had our wedding in March 2020, right before there was a restriction on crowds/groups. Donna and Erica made my entire experience a memorable one. They were helpful, knowledgeable, respectful, flexible, sweet, caring, and kind throughout the 12+ months I had to prepare and plan for my wedding. We met several times throughout this time to answer any questions I had, which made me feel very comfortable. They also had materials and handouts to assist you with the process and put it all in a nice little binder to help you keep track of all vendors. I used this binder every step of the way and it was PERFECT! Don t know what questions to ask vendors? No problem, Donna and Erica have you covered! They provide a list of questions that are helpful when vendor shopping too. The place was absolutely gorgeous and clean! We booked the weekend package and we enjoyed every single thing about it. From the place itself to the selection of pastries and mimosas while I was getting dressed, to the emergency vendor needed the morning of (thank you Donna and Erica!!), to the wonderful breakfast Donna prepared for me and my guests the next morning, to biding us goodbye. On the day of my wedding, they were both there making my guests feel welcomed and very attentive. They even had items for me to use that I forgot or didn t even think of. For anyone looking to have your event here, I would definitely recommend the weekend package and if you can, definitely book Donna as the wedding planner/coordinator! Donna is extremely knowledgeable and experienced. I promise, you will not be disappointed. Unfortunately, I didn t book Donna as the planner/coordinator and that would be my only regret. In the end, I would have spent the same amount. It s been almost a year since our wedding and I can t help but remain thankful that we had such a wonderful experience, especially since weddings aren t an every day event you get to plan. Donna and Erica are wonderful ladies and easy to work with - I would highly recommend anyone to Lambermont Events!

What can I say about Lambermont besides it was an absolute DREAM! This was the first venue we visited and when they say you know, you just know! Dona and Erica were warm, inviting and have created a beautiful space for entertaining. After a family emergency halted out plans, the communication on our end stalled. We had to wait a few months before striking up the planning iron again. When we did, Dona and Erica welcomed us back with open arms and we signed a contract the day we went back. From the micro-details of goody bags for our guests, to the macro-details of the event timeline and setup, Erica and Dona had us covered! We had a vision for our wedding and it was anything but cookie cutter. Lambermont added the charm, beautiful backdrop and all around full experience we were looking for. I never dreamed I would get married in a castle, but here we are today, with the memories I will never forget. If you decide to go with Lambermont, know that Dona and Erica have your back and will take care of you every step of the way. Photography by Dos Kiwis Studios

Almost three years ago, Hurricane Harvey struck Texas and in the process completely destroyed my fathers church that I was going to be married in. The worst part was that the hurricane struck a week before my wedding. I had family coming in from all over the U.S. and in the midst of the devastation I was searching franticly to relocate my wedding. I contacted many venues in San Antonio, but the only one that was willing to host a wedding with a weeks notice was Lambermont Events. The ladies here were so kind and understanding. They helped decorate, coordinate and make my dream come true in the midst of a devastating time. I have had many friends tell me that my wedding was the most beautiful and relaxing wedding they have ever been to. I couldnt have done it with out you wonderful ladies. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for stepping in during a hard time and helping us pull off my wedding. Im sorry it took so long to say thank you, but please know that I am so grateful for all you did for my husband and I.

Ive had the pleasure of working at this venue many times. The Lambermont and its staff are both amazing. Dona and Erica are some of the most helpful and kind wedding professionals in San Antonio. They love this historic San Antonio landmark and their guests. I am always excited when I get to shoot there and cannot wait for my next event!

With all due respect to those who loved this venue and the owners. I had the opposite experience with both events that I hosted here. The owners stalked us throughout the party. They made each one of our vendors get a million dollars in life insurance. They hired a neighbor to attend our event who walked around and mingled with our guest while helping her self to our food. We had carnival rides for the kids. They wouldnt allow us to place them where we agreed. The owners constantly made us feel unwelcome and unwanted. NEVER EVER EVER EVER WILL I HOST AN EVENT HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My fiance and I are looking at venues and thought this place would be very beautiful to look at as a potential venue. All of the venues we have called/toured have allowed us to look at their venue, even knowing our date would be in 2021. They canceled our appointment to tour, while the WHOLE day was open for availability, and only wrote back We are not booking for 2021 until Jan 2020. Not knowing if we were considering pushing our date forward, they denied us to even tour the venue when I scheduled an appointment that was listed as Lambermont Potential Client Tour which has nothing to do with booking the venue on that SAME day. Thank you for making us feel unwelcome and we are very upset that we cannot tour this beautiful venue and have the opportunity to consider it, as your hospitality was very unwelcoming.
