The food is so good. The serving sizes are big. Bring your appetite. We started with some Nashville cauliflowers , they didnt disappoint but they did disappear. We couldnt finish everything but it was so delicious. Chicken waffles were good. The breading was good and crispy and spicy. Everything came together so nice.

Made a reservation ahead of time to avoid any wait, checked in and was still put in a 20 minute wait. Was seated outside, the waitress took our order and brought our apps, and mentioned the food was in the making. So we waited, We saw as other tables were getting seated and served with their own meals, a table of a party was served first and we had arrived there first than them. We wait about another extra 30-45 mins and the waitress comes back questioning our meals, stating no meal was placed. If we would like for our meals to be placed after all They waisted our time and would not recommend.

Our first time there and it was fantastic. The food was top notch, the atmosphere was full, and the service was excellent from start to finish. We were a party of two, we had the fried green tomatoes, blackened red fish, and the hot honey sandwich. Joe was our waiter and he was super knowledgeable, gave excellent recommendations (backed up with personal experience), and although he had several guests to service he made us feel as if we were the only table. The decor was interesting to survey and well done. Great place. Awesome dinner. Wheelchair accessibility: There are a few stairs in the front patio area leading to the entrance but there is also an entrance to the same door from a different side of the front patio area.

I was invited to celebrate my birthday here, and while the food was great, I had some disappointing experiences with the drinks and service. The menu offered a good selection of food, but the drink situation was confusing. There seemed to be two separate drink menus one for beer and wine, and another for cocktails but our menus were missing some pages. The waitress wasn t sure what was going on either. I ordered a top-shelf bourbon pour, but when I received my drink, it was clear I had been given an amaretto instead. When I mentioned this to the waitress, she asked if I had tried that bourbon before, which was a bit frustrating. I think I d know the difference, especially for a $14-$18 whiskey. She offered to remove it from the tab, which I accepted. Later, the bartender apologized and brought me what tasted like bourbon, so I was finally happy. However, while we were enjoying our food, the restaurant manager mistakenly took my unfinished bourbon glass, thinking it was empty. I had to chase her down, and she realized her mistake. Overall, the food was fantastic, but I wouldn t recommend coming here for a nice whiskey experience due to the confusion and errors.

Overall, our experience was a good one. The service we received at the bar was fantastic! I think Cassie attended to us. Our experience would have exceptional, had we been seated at one of the many empty tables. We were informed that the wait was 1 hour and 30-45 minutes. Yet, there were over 10 empty tables inside and plenty more outside that would fit our party. We were told that reservations are usually made for large parties. There were 8 of us. So we sat at the bar and was there about 1 hour and 45 minutes. The empty tables did not fill until we were close to leaving. We could have been immediately seated, served, and out the door before the need for the empty tables. It makes me wonder how much money was lost because of this practice. We were offended that we were not accommodated given the circumstances. This practice should be revisited. Two members of our party are in the service industry and they were shocked by this.

Sad to say this place has changed and not for the better. Service was extremely slow and our waitress forgot several things wuch as beverages, jelly and on of our entrees. . Our food was cold, some dishes lacked flavor. All in all, bad experience. Side note: management should really do something about the uneven concrete outside around sitting area. I tripped and luckily was able to avoid hitting the ground. Someone can get seriously hurt.

Exceptional food and service. Came into town and needed a quick bite. This place came highly recommended and I see why. Exceptional service, great drinks, good food and cool atmosphere. My server and bartender Marina was amazing. She and another server, Chris, offered amazing menu items with honest feedback. You know when you ask the waiter what s good and they say everything not these two. They were honest and spot on. Docked one star because the music was very loud making it hard to talk and sometimes difficult for the bartender to hear my order. Would visit again.

First time experience. South Carolina native and recent SATX resident so I had to add this to places to check out. Was not disappointed from the entrance to our lovely seating area! Our waitress, Rachel, was amazing! We had a family of five (2 adults, 3 children including a toddler) and they made accommodations for us. Recommended a drink that really made my meal taste even better. Brought us some extra sauce and seasoning (didn t really need it but it helped). Our food came to us in record time and for dessert, the key lime pie is a must try! Will return before the year ends! Parking: Over 30 spaces. Wide for trucks and two way traffic. Kid-friendliness: They have high chairs and great spacing for walking and sitting.

Went to ida Claire for brunch as always... AMAZING! Our waitstaff was amazing, imparticularly Amanda! She was amazing, patient, and friendly. She was such a vibe the whole time. After getting my son s haircut in the area, we drove past Ida Claire and decided to stop and eat. I didn t know what to expect and luckily it happened to be slower than usual so we were able to be seated fairly quickly. Our server recommend making reservations as the restaurant is typically packed. The food was absolutely amazing! Aside from being delicious the food and drinks are aesthetically pleasing to post online. We re all guilty of it. I d be lying if I said I didn t think about the avocado toast everyday. What left a greater impression than the food was our server s hospitality and friendliness. Abby is an absolute angel! Im in town visiting my friend and she brought me here for lunch. I loved everything about it from the cute decor to the warm welcome at the door. Fun restaurant for friends and family to meet. We went in for lunch and everything was great. We ordered the Fried Green Tomatoes with gremolata, pistou aioli sauce, and the Ida Biscuits appetizers. They were absolutely wonderful! Our party of five ordered Chicken and Waffles, Blackened Catfish Etoufee, Hot Honey Chicken Sandwich, Bay of Fundy Salmon, and Spring Ravioli. This was my first visit to Ida Claire. I had the biscuits as a starter. The toppings were amazing, especially the Bacon Gravy. I had the Monte Christo sandwich with chips. It was amazingly tasty. Pamela was our waitress. She was friendly, informative, and on task. She made the whole experience better. Thank you, Pamela and Ida Claire, for a nice experience. The only con I have is the noise. Okay, this was my first time there. We were invited by my wifes cousin as a birthday brunch for us. The wait was not that bad. But! When they took us in to seat us down at our table, they had given it away to another couple . The hostess then wanted to sit us at the bar or wait until another table came available, putting us back into rotation. It s perfectly crispy and love how it has the perfect spice. - Fried Green Tomatoes were some of the best that I have had, which hasn t been much but y all I can eat this all the time! Ida Claire has a great tasting menu from the delicious biscuits to a variety of sandwiches and brunch plates to some amazing drinks. They provide indoor and outdoor seating with a great atmosphere. Some of my favorite dishes are chicken and waffles, hot honey chicken, and the Monte Cristo. My favorite drink is the froze but they offer a great drink menú. They are conveniently located at the quarry and have plenty of parking. They also provide is a family friendly, pet friendly environment.

This was our first visit to Ida Claire. We had reservations for a group of 20 for Sunday brunch. The food was delicious and our drinks (especially mimosas) were excellent. Everyone ordered something different and all meals were enjoyed immensely. The cinnamon rolls are to die for. Warning.. portions are HUGE. My husband and I split a meal and were glad we did. Our servers were Fabian and Margaret. Besides being extremely personable, they were very efficient. One thing we really appreciated was that they served the littles in our group before the adults. Adults were then able to visit with each other since the kids were busy eating. Manager Casey made sure we were happy with everything as well. We LOVE this place and will definitely return.... often! I went here on a suggestion and got the lobster Mac, absolutely to die for my meal came with a MASSIVE lobsterclaw meat in tact surrounded by unique macaroni noodles and a cheese sauce to complement the entire dish absolutely fantastic. Its listed as a side but if youre not SUPER hungry its more than filling. Definitely coming back to try out the rest of the menu.. now on to the service. The gentleman who served me was remarkable had me in and out quickly but never rushed me once super knowledgeable about the menu and just an all around charm but for the life of me his name escapes me... but he was the only one with blue hair! First time at Ida Claire, ordered the seafood pasta and ribeye dinner. W/ Brussel sprouts and cornbread as our app. The choices of appetizers are unique but none of interest to try, hence my decision to go for a side as the app. The Brussels had a nice char to them with the feta as a different taste with the red peppers. If you enjoy Brussels I would recommend to try. The cornbread was nice, but I d order the butter topped on the side, there is a heavy taste in butter but still not bad and wasn t too dry. The steak was cooked nicely, but the taste was just a bland piece of grilled meat with butter, def not worth the price tag of $48. The seafood pasta was okay, didn t get a fresh plate and again lacked flavor, mostly tasted of cooked seafood rather than robust flavor. We had the marg flights that were nice, I d recommend the Slurricane and Mango marg. But I d have to say the 34 price tag is a bit reaching for the amount you get. The waiter was nice and helpful, the atmosphere is what you expect. To sum it up, paying over $100 was not worth the taste of the meals and I will probably not be returning.

Our server Chris was exceptional. Not only was his customer service above and beyond, but all his recommendations for food and drinks were amazing. The food was delicious; the lobster Mac and cheese was at least on par if not better than the Mac and cheese at Hells Kitchen. On family vacation, we randomly chose this location, with really no idea what to expect. What an experience! The outdoor dining and entertaining, the inside decor and atmosphere, provided a vibe for all to enjoy. Came to San Antonio for a summer vacation with my husband and our preteen. Met some locals who recommended Ida Claire, Charley & Maddie thank you!!! One look at the menu, saw fried green tomatoes and just knew we had to give it a try. It did NOT disappoint. Arrived around 830pm for a late dinner after a busy day, we were seated immediately, then greeted immediately by Joe our server, while we were getting settled into our booth. We let him know we were visiting from out of state, and would need a few minutes. As we were seated, the table next to us was getting their food delivered and after a quick peak at their table, they were more than happy to tell us what they ordered and recommend their favorite dishes. Joe came back to get our beverage order and gave us a welcomed and thorough review of the menu, from cocktails, to apps, salads, and entrees. He recommend which dishs to avoid because they were sold out because of a busy brunch service. We had 3 of the signature cocktails Thrice Fashioned, the Lavender Haze (that even Taylor Swift would approve of), and the La Vie en Rose which came with a gigantic hibiscous tea ice ball, which i topped off with the hibiscous tea to go, all were seriously balanced cocktails that hit the spot. For food we started with the crab cake, biscuits, and fried green tomatoes appetizers, and every one of them was divine. The biscuits were so fresh, the honey butter the perfect balance of sweet and savory, the jam was fresh and delicious, and the gravy was rich and authentic. I ordered the chicken and waffles off the kids menu, smaller portion but just as flavorful and appetizing, paired it with the honey butter and the syrup. The chicken was moist, batter was perfectly seasoned, and had to be one of the best waffles I have had in awhile. We even ordered a side of the candied bacon, which was just scrumptious. My kiddo ordered the double burger and chips, he approved, even though they were sold out of the brioche bun. My husband had the redfish and orzo, which I tasted and it was so good, smoky, flaky, moist, and an overall balanced dish. Between the food and amazing service of the entire staff, Joe, Abby, the bartender Em who whipped up perfectly balanced cocktails, and the Manager Ruben who was more than happy to listen to our rave reviews of his staff, we will definitely be back in the fall to try out brunch and some of the other dishes when we head back to San Antonio. Joe was super helpful in suggesting other authentic restaurants to try out, he even showed off some of his prized smoked meats, and told us a few attractions that would be worthy of our time. Ultimately after the long, trying day we had, and some poor service at other establishments, Joe and the team at Ida Claire really turned our day around. It was worth every penny. This was my second visit! The server we had was super nice, and although I was tempted to order what I had gotten last time (Nashville Hot Tenders), I asked if it was possible to order something not on the menu...a grilled cheese sandwich. The server smiled and kinda chuckled at my request and said yes! This wasnt any regular grilled cheese I was requesting, though; I requested they make it spicy...throw some jalapeños in there or some poblano peppers, I said. The server then actually recommended pimento cheese as the base, and I told her that sounded really good. Dang did they deliver! The grilled cheese sandwich was packed full of pimento cheese, and was also stuffed with some slices of jalapeño, before being grilled to perfection. Served alongside the sandwich was their spiced potato chips, which I hadnt even asked for. When she came back to check on us, the server mentioned that even the cook was thinking my grilled cheese looked absolutely delicious! She then offered me a complimentary refill on the chips and gave us a fresh bottle of water. They charged me only a few dollars for the grilled cheese sandwich, and didnt charge me at all for the chips. Needless to say, I gave our server a nice tip, and will FOR SURE be returning. Oh, and I did let them know they need to put that sandwich on the menu. Im sure folks would love it as much as I did!

We LOVE dining here! On our most recent visit we had Rachel as our server and loved her service! Rachel took her time to talk to our parents who were visiting from out of town.
