Not all food is created equal here. For the most part, the food is old and you can tell by the 3 day old celery and limes. They re browning and even going white. The wings are delicious but some of them looked like they were prepared yesterday and just heated in a microwave. The chicken sandwich and fried chicken is also over cooked and maybe air fried/microwaved when ordered which is fine but don t do it twice where you can tell it s been heated more than once. You re safer getting a burger and fries and keeping it safe and simple. The good though is that servers are very friendly. They are attentive and kind. Michel for example treated us excellent and would get us whatever we needed quickly. It s definitely bar food trying to be a sit-down restaurant. Might as well eat somewhere else unless you just want a burger.

This place has potential to be great but between the mid food, nasty bathrooms and the alchemist cocktails not coming out with any of the actual effects, it just fell short. They had good beer, good music and a nice view of the river but it s just not worth it with so many better options on the river. Parking: Pretty close to a couple of garages that are $15-$30

I am not a fan of German food but this was pretty good. The atmosphere is awesome. They had live music and the staff was very nice which is saying a lot because I didn t find many places around there with friendly staff. The owner was walking around the whole time we were there. Then we noticed he went and brought a homeless lady some food and a drink. May god bless his business.

Husband is allergic to onions, ordered side dishes of broccoli and rice and STILL GOT ONIONS. Asked the server again if it had onions and she swore it did not. He spent the rest of the night ill and upset. Aside from the allergy concern, the food was dry, bland, altogether disappointing, all around the table. Could have bought a cheap microwave meal and been happier. Im always trying to be on the servers side, but this entire experience was ridiculous. We were ignored for hours, couldnt even get the check to leave and take care of my husband. There were almost no tables for a large group, and multiple of them had only 1 or 2 people sat. Another group came in after us, smaller than ours and got the larger table that would have made more sense for our party (it was clean when we came in, too). The smaller group was immediately catered to while we were still waiting for water. A few of us ordered beers. One of my friends got the wrong drink and when she asked about it, she was told to just keep that one, as if it was a favor. It was not. She never got the beer she asked for. Then the atmosphere...it could have been nice, except for there were problems with the music. At one point it got turned up to max volume and was screeching with bad connection too. I like loud music, but this actually had everyone in the room covering their ears. Felt like being in a fire drill for at least a solid minute before they fixed it. All in all I would not trust this place for a meal. Ive seen multiple reviews saying its ok for a drink on the patio and not much past that, but they couldnt even give us the right beer, so Im done and will not be wasting any more time or money here. Dietary restrictions: They ignored our dietary restrictions, served my partner something hes intolerant to, and then denied it.

Had the reuben and the corned beef was unfortunately tough. Great tasting sandwich. Wife had a steak that was good but her broccoli was rather bland and tasted like oil. We sat outside, music was good and not overbearing to where you cant talk to the person right next to you. Area was clean, prices were decent for being on the Riverwalk.

The food took a really long time to come out and it was very underwhelming. I ordered the salmon scramble and there wasn t much flavor or seasoning. The avocado toast it came with was also not good. I ordered Texas toast on the side as well and it was literally just regular toast with maybe a light hit of butter. Coffee was kind of weak, also disappointed in the food. Lacked flavor and texas toast was more like wonder bread. Eggs lacked flavor or seasoning. They should also put umbrellas at the tables since the trees are constantly shedding over the food and drinks. The pumpkin butter also didnt taste like pumpkin.

Arrived back to Pensacola florida yesterday. Getting a divorce after 11 years didnt work out. A fine wife and woman gave her the house I take Bella boo our 4 year terrier mix. Bought her a little brother last week. A 4 month old golden doodle brother Dillard. My name is martin guess what prost Bar tender name is martin and our jersey friends name is Troy. Had the opportunity to listen to Austin Burns play live music while I had a drink before going through a difficult military selection course at LACKLAND AFB. Me and a close friend would often joke about how no matter how bad the day was, when we finished the course we would get to go back and hear him play while we had a drink. When I finally did come back he took our request and absolutely went above and beyond. If you re ever in the area and you hear this guy is playing PLEASE stop by and show him some love. Amazing musician and even better person. Definitely give it a chance.

I am an active duty military member and prior to beginning a training course in San Antonio, we attended this outdoor bar and it was so good we came every Saturday night. The food was great but the live music from Austin burns is what brought us back after the course. He absolutely crushed it and is so talented. He takes requests and can play all genres, he also involves the crowd. Hes very approachable and great to talk to between songs.

Food is okay, but bar service was terrible. They served my wife a beer in a broken glass (which I get happens sometimes). When that happens the correct response is to apologize and then comp the drink but instead the upstairs bartender wanted to argue with me about how it was the downstairs bartenders fault (as if I care WHO served my wife in a broken glass) and then had the waiter confirm that it was downstairs bartenders fault (again, I dont care) before begrudgingly giving me another beer in a non broken glass. When Im dropping $100+ on beers and food after spending $20 to park, Id appreciate being treated with a little more respect in the future.

Day trip to SA today and decided to try Prost for the first time. Pretty hot for an August day so we sat inside. Decorum wasn t anything like a German eatery, but it was nice and cool. I got the Rueben while Mrs got the bratwurst. Both were very tasty and the two liter beers I had made it all go down rather nicely. Service could have been a little more attentive, but it wasn t bad. We would have sat outside overlooking the river walk, but just too damn hot.

It is what it is, you gotta know before you go. Ambiance is incredible, but everything on the SA River Walk is pretty much great. Live music too - classic rock, nice and complimentary to the ambiance. Service was great too. Food. I ordered the Rueben; looks great and mouth-watering in the pic. In my experience a real Rueben from an NY-style deli or the way the Germans would do it is a lot of thin-sliced corned beef on a great piece of rye. What Prost did is cut the bread in half, and give you a tall half-sandwich that looks loaded with pastrami, but is really 4 half pieces of bread with a very small (comparatively to everywhere else) amount of corned beef. C mon man, don t do me like that. I took off the extra two pieces of rye because I didn t want to eat rye, right. And I had a meager sandwich left. BTW- the corned beef should be lean and thin-sliced. Mine was thick and fatty. I hate to leave this review, but it is what it is and because, again, great ambiance with great service and live music on the Riverwalk in SA. Maybe go for their good beer selection and an apetizer. Keepin it real, no kickbacks.

Julian is a great server! Please ask for him. My wife and stepdaughter were not optimistic about German food, Julian guided them to find the optimal dish to suit their taste. The house salad was enhanced by the homemade ranch. Without exception the best pretzel and beer cheese in the nation by far. Sliders great. The chicken snitzle converted my wife to German food. The sausages will make you slap ya mama. A must visit!

Great place, ruined by rude bar staff. Girl, (granted intoxicated), order a drink and dropped her glass. One glass. They were calm, apologetic. I sat several chairs down, the bar staff immediately cut them off, laughing, talking trash etc. I do not know this person but yet I felt so bad for her. They humiliated her. Laughing. Someone started recording her experience, (granted she wasn t sober), but the bar staff did not properly ask her to leave. Her man was apologizing and they treated them like trash. Wrong. In so many ways. Train your staff how to handle situations and treat people with basic humanities.

When I saw a German bar along the Riverwalk, I got really excited and raced over to find a basic family restaurant with a handful of German items on the menu. Pretty disappointing. If youre looking for an authentic German restaurant, this really isnt it. The food was fine and the atmosphere was sub par (for a German restaurant). Service was excellent, though - food came fast and hot from a lovely waitress. I suggest this establishment removes its German association considering it does basically nothing to deserve it.

This place is unorganized and we had a terrible experience. We came and were nicely greeted with I just got off but I ll send someone over 10 mins later he comes back, takes our order cause no one came. Then 15 mins later still no drinks or food. Everyone walking by ignoring us. Other people coming in getting served after us. We decided to just leave and then second we walk away from the table, one of the servers ignoring us immediately comes to clear our water glasses. Took a large group during our family vacation. The food was good.. sampler tower was a huge hit. Drinks are good.. found this place too late in our vacation to go on an alchemy day for the extra fun ones, but we were very happy with what we had. Our server, Alexis, was amazing - great personality and on the ball with keeping up with all of our food and drink orders. One of the best places we found all week. Spent the extra for their awesome souvenir glasses, so it was a little pricey, but kids and adults were all happy.

Made a reservation online through OpenTable to dine out on patio for an out of town friend s birthday. Arrived and no host/ hostess was anywhere around. We proceeded to head down to dine by the Riverwalk. A server finally greeted us. Unfortunately, this was a bomb. The service was horrible as the waitress couldn t seem to manage to listen to our orders and continued to get them wrong and also forget our drinks. Food was mediocre at the best. Thought I d try this place. Huge mistake. I ll a ick to taking out of town guests to Boudro s as I usually did. So disappointed that I chose this place to celebrate a friend s birthday. Additionally, bill was simply tossed on the table by another server. All the while, our initial server did t bother coming to check on us. View of Riverwalk is nice though, but there are much better places to patronize.

We had a lovely evening here tonight! The music was great and the live singer was a treat. Sadly the BBQ place next door had their karaoke speakers on max so it over shouted the live singer a lot of the time, but we loved what we heard in between the country wailers of Smoke. I had the chicken and waffles and my bf had the jaeger schnitzel. Both of our dishes were delicious! The pumpkin seeds and butter on the waffle made it uniquely sweet and tasty! The schnitzel gravy was the best weve ever had! Also, we brought our labby dog, and the waiter brought her a dog water bowl immediately and gave her sweet pets every time he walked by. The service here was amazing for a slammed Saturday night (we arrived at 9:30pm) and had less than a 10 minute wait to be seated on the terrace with our pup. The views of the river walk and the lit up river taxis at night was very romantic and the sweet summer breeze felt Devine. I will definitely return for the excellent everything!! Huge Thanks to your staff for making this an extraordinary experience during my Memorial Day vacation getaway.

Had a wonderful experience here over the past weekend. We were in town to have a mini vacation at Sixflags and the following day ended up at the River Walk and found ourselves looking at a beautiful patio with an amazing singer. No complaints on beautiful weather, scenery, music, amazing food and good beer. Kid-friendliness: They have a kids menu with large kid sized portions. Lots of options for the kids too!

We passed by this place on a river cruise and decided to go there as my partner loves German food and it was something different than the million Mexican food restaurants. We arrived on the Riverwalk side and opted to sit outside as there was a lot of shade, but there is also indoor seating. We chose our own table and the server greeted us quickly. The menu was digital using a QR code which fine that s the way things are these days. However, the beer selection seemed incomplete or unclear in the menu as the dark beer my partner finally was able to order was only the result of seeing someone else order. He ordered the tower and I had the wedge salad and brussels sprouts. The tower was a lot of food - could easily feed 2-4, I tried some bites, and this was a good option to try a lot of menu items in a single dish. The meat balls were okay, everything else on the tower got a thumbs up from my partner. My partner was surprisingly really good - I liked that the wedge was made with romaine instead of the typical iceberg -and there was plenty of dressing and toppings to last the whole salad. The brussel spouts were also good. The cab was also surprisingly good for the price point. The only complaint would be the music. The outdoor patio is right next to a BBQ restaurant and both places had live music. It was a lot with both competing for attention, but otherwise would return.

I cant review the food because they Were out of most everything. They seated us 15 minutes after our reservation but only because I had seen others being seated before us. We were exiled to a high top in the corner but they did move us once I asked if there was anyway 2 older people could have a regular table. I was so looking forward to this but not impressed at all. Had lunch at this German place. Super odd interior. Cross between Spanish and German. Surage board was good and pretzel seemed like thy warmed it up in a deep fryer. Then the bill came. $13 for raspberry lemonade amd $19.99 for a simple glass of sangria! Why? Oh, cause they said we ordered the specialty glasses ( which we did not - weren t even asked about them. The waiter said that s how they come. I can box up a couple of (lousy) glasses for you? No thanks we didn t order them . Blank expression from the waiter. So $33 for lemonade and glass of sangria. Very misleading, weird vibe inside and kind got played for signature glasses we don t order. Try another place on the riverwalk. Forget this one.

Great place to enjoy the Riverwalk - excellent food and service! When we visited, they were very busy because of the St. Patricks Day festival. We expected an extended wait for the food, but were surprised at how quickly everything was ready. Despite the crowd, the service was amazing, too. We all left full and happy. All the food was great, but you have to try the pretzel. 10/10 recommend. :)

Vibes Views Great Live Music The fiancée and I are mostly homebodies, but when we do venture out downtown every now and then Little Rhein is the perfect place to stop by. With a great elevated view of the Riverwalk, and steps away from the historic La Villita, it s the perfect scene to enjoy a beverage or two with a loved one. We have been lucky enough to be here a few times when Austin Burns is providing the perfect background music to life. We heard him play renditions of everything from Tennessee Whiskey, to Purple Rain, to Santeria. The guy is super talented so don t be afraid to ask for him to play your favorite song.

Having a drink on the terrace is recommended but only for beer. The quality of the cocktail was not good. Did not taste authentic and the alcohol content was very low. The ambience was great. We can recommend the bratwurst hot dog. It was really tasty. The large pretzel cannot be compared with a German pretzel but it also tastes really good with the cheese dip. Only the sauerkraut balls werent quite our thing. Overall, highly recommended.

We ordered from the Sunday brunch menu, this was a mistake. We got the big tex breakfast and the migas. The big tex comes with a waffle, in the shape of texas (probably the best thing about this meal), eggs (from powder), bacon, polish sausage, and hash brown rice (no i didnt miss a comma). The migas was scrambled eggs with refried beans, guacamole and salsa with some hard flour tortillas. The worst part was it took them over half an hour to get us our food and it was cold.

It apeared that no one was our server - since we had about 3 different ones & all three were in another world besides all 3 giving service that seemed to say why didnt you 2 go somewhere else & thats the exact sentiment we walked away with. Our visit started with banter and invite from the infamous Troy, who recognized our thirst, hunger and need for water for our dogs! Such a fun spot for some drinks and good food. The ambiance is great and the outdoor seating area is staggered to give you nice views of the river and the passing boats and lights. The live music was very good! We ordered the boozy bites (jello shots), but for some reason they did not give us any buzz. The food was great, we shared appetizers- Brussels sprouts and the nachos. Both very very good. Definitely recommend for a relaxing and fun night out with friends.

This was our favorite place on the riverwalk. We came here 3 times in one weekend! 2 times to eat and once to drink. The food is SO GOOD and they have a super cool menu. I had a poor experience and cannot recommend this place. We paid a $15 cover charge to enter, but were not allowed to sit at any of the outside tables (mostly vacant). This restriction was not mentioned when we arrived and paid. The waitress who forced us to move from our seats was rude, telling us to either go inside or leave , without offering a refund or even an apology despite the fact that none of her colleagues had informed us about the table arrangements. Since we had already ordered our drinks and paid the cover charge, leaving wasnt an option. We decided to go inside, where the decor was tacky, the music was in poor taste, and the volume was excessively loud. We swiftly moved to another bar.

Visited the restaurant and wanted to do a walk-in, long before closing time. Was told that there is a 45 minute wait despite seeing many empty tables plus seats at the bar. Fine. The host brought us a TISSUE PAPER and asked us to write down name and phone number. The callback NEVER came that evening. I dont know what kind of business these guys are running, but I have never seen a restaurant that treats its patrons in such an unprofessional and disrespectful way.
