This is a seemingly new park in the South side of the town. This is rather little rough neighborhood but the park is a gem. They have put so much of thought and work into this park. There s also a fishing spot nearby.

I love the walking path. Pretty stable for someone like me (Im struggling to walk). Toilets: I love that they have a Porto potty just in case you dont make it to their restroom.

I havent been to this particular part in over the years and they have made GAME CHANGING IMPROVEMENTS changes to the area it looks more inviting more kid-friendly more to do here as well because there was not a lot of these things at this location years ago this particular location has really stepped their game up this will be a great place they have even family reunions picnic birthday parties I mean theres a lot to do here theres so many ideas theres so much potential here they even have a baseball field in the basketball court Playground: There is 2 playgrounds that I saw. The colors are so bright and beautiful its like joy and peace just being at the playground Toilets: There is restrooms and porta potties on site

This park is a hidden gem. Its got the perfect amount of activities, and tree cover. You can use multiple play grounds. The splash pad is simple and welcoming. The Greenway trail goes both north and south. I love this park. Playground: Very fun and safe to let the kids play. Toilets: Restrooms are yucky though.

Playground: I start coming to MLKP years ago me and dog we camped out there. We stay out there for some years it was crazy..... I have met some really awesome friends. It is very important for you to know the streets morning, noon and at night. Toilets: They are keep up well.... Thank you for caring about us that dont have a pot to piss in..... I don t often sit at this park I just use it as a shortcut to get to the other side of the area, it s a direct drive without the stop lights and traffic. It s not hard on the eyes, it could use some TLC, other than that it s ok.

With gentrification, the city has finally begun to pay attention to our beloved MLK park!! Its really beautiful out here since they cleared out the overgrown trees and brush. They added a small splash pad that could use a lot more than water shooting up... Old Pearsall Road has an amazing space. Well like a few things like that added over here. The updated pavilions make it great for family fun days or places to take a break after riding the connecting trail ways.

Large park with many amenities. You can take the kids or dogs for a fun day at the park. Theres a splash pad, playground, grills, trails, and lovely large shade trees with Spanish moss growing on them. Spend your hot summer days here with friends and family

Im not sure I actually made it all the way in to MLK Park before I had to head back, but the ride was excellent. I am SO impressed and thankful for those whose wonderful visions of what the park systems connecting with each other would be like. And a big booyah to ALL whose contributions made the difference to an incredible dream. Sorry, I did not mean to get verklempt (SP?) People, if youve not taken advantage of our parks system, yall are just missing out big time. Give it a try solo with friends, family, whatever. I see speedy bikes, three wheelers , tandems, four wheelers, inline skating, skaters, skateboarders, runners, joggers, walkers (ummm...the good kind). Sweet. The paths are clearly marked and the directions clear. Its just lovely this time of year, in spite of skimpy foliage. The quiet is enchanting. Playground: At each individually connected park, restrooms are available. There are several picnic areas in each park and many have diamonds for sports. Dog-friendliness: Several pick up pooches potty stations are located strategically and its great when used properly to clean up after their four-legged family members. There are always many doggies out walking their humans and most of them have fine manners. Picnic area: The picnic tables are nice and some are even in the shade.
