RECOMMEND. Fresh and flavorful poke and ramen! First, we were warmly welcomed in. The two individuals at the counter assisted with the ramen options and poke bowl. We enjoyed the spicy Tonkotsu Ramen, Shoyu Ramen, large poke bowl and three different teas. The Tonkotsu Ramen (level 1 spice) was delicious! Pork belly, boiled eggs, fish cake, seaweed, corn, thin noodles and green onion in a savory, mildly spiced broth. The large poke bowl included (our selection) white rice, Seaweed, Cucumber, Green Onion, Jalapeño, Sweet Onion, Ahi and Spicy Salmon topped with seaweed salad, carrots, edamame, crunchy wonton and fried onion crisps. We ordered cold to-go drinks: blended Thai tea, Green tea milk tea, Taro smoothie with boba. SO good!

Been here a couple of times and its always neat and quiet. Ive had both a poke bowl and the tonkotsu ramen. Both were delicious! Poke bowls are build-your-own, so if you have a group of people or family with you, you can all eat what youd like without having to worry about menu options. You get a lot of food with your order. Ive had enough for 2 meals each time Ive been.

Being born and raised in Hawaii, im very critical when it comes to restaurants that claim Hawaiian type food, outside of hawaii. Ive been in abilene for about a month now. And this is the only Hawaii type food I can find so far. Service and atmosphere wise I give these guys 4 stars Food wise, this is my first time trying it. And im quite disappointed. Got a large poke bowl, with white rice, chicken, and 2x beef tataki. With most the toppings. Starting with the rice, horrible. Its ridiculously undercooked. I had to make my own rice at home and just scrape everything on to it. For those who know, rice is a huge staple in hawaii. So to screw up there is almost unforgivable. Especially with how easy it is to make rice. Ofcourse I mean that in regards to their rice cookers. Which literally do all the work. So the only error here was the person adding water. Which is fine, mistakes happen. Next, the proteins. Chicken, just ur store bought pre cooked bag of grilled chicken cut into cubes. Atleast thats how Im seeing. Good but could be better. They do mix it with a sauce or sauces of your choice which definitely helps. But other than that, quite simple. Beef tataki was good, had no complaints in regards of taste there, its sliced thin, so its not chewy, and tastes good. My only issue with the beef tataki is the portion. A large poke bowl comes with three servings of protein. I think the scoop of chicken is quite small but the beef tatakis portion is even worse. I got 2x beef and it wasnt even as much as the portion of the chicken I recieved. Which is quite disappointing. As for toppings and sauces, sauces so far seem prettt good, and toppings as well. I do find it quite nice to customize it. Gives you options to try different combinations and find what you like. I would love to see unagi sauce on the menu too, its a great way to elevate any poke bowl. Now im not saying the food isnt good. But could be so much better. For me at least this time. The rice brought down the whole bowl. Literally, its the base of a poke bowl. It has to be good. But I will continue to try more things and poke bowl combos here. And hope it was just a this time thing. And a rare occasion. I would like to add that they do have ahi, im skeptical to try ordering it in my poke bowl. Out of habit I asked to sample it first. Being a common thing to do back home. Which ofcourse they said no. Which is understandable. Tho I would like the option. Living in hawaii my whole life Ive never found a place that wouldnt let me sample poke. Beacuse they know people like to make sure the quality or even just the taste is to their liking. I also think for this restaurant, itd be a great way to introduce ahi to people who havent tried it before. That just my thoughts on it. Till then I plan to stay away from the ahi. Cant trust em. I look forward to trying more items from here. And hope they surpass my expectations In the future.

If i could eat here everyday, i would! Love getting the tonkatsu ramen. Level: fire/911. I m a pretty regular customer. I get the same thing every time but I have tried many other things before as well and it s all so delicious. But tonight was the first time that when I ordered level fire tonkatsu ramen it finally was the spice level I was looking for. Mouth burning. My favorite! I wasnt impressed. If youve never been there, dont bother. One guy was patent and tried, the second guy was rushing, and we had to run a second charge because someone in our party added avocado because he couldnt wait 30 seconds to find out what all we were getting. Of all my trips to Abilene, Texas I dont think Ive ever seen a Hawaiian food place. So being from Hawaii, I was pretty curious to try out this new spot out. This place has a lot of potential. I dont think the owners are from Hawaii based off the music that was playing and the way the room was decorated. I would recommend Hawaiian/Reggae music (which can easily be found on YouTube. iHeart Radio even has a few stations that play live music that would typically be heard in Hawaii) instead of playing Jazz and R&B. After studying the menu for a bit I decided to order a large poke bowl. I do like that they offer a lot of options for toppings. When it came to the protein, the scoops of poke were very small. I believe I got salmon and tuna mixed with spicy mayo which was not bad for the small amount I had. I also paid a few extra dollars for unagi. Unfortunately, the unagi was burnt to a crisp, and the 1 piece I got was tiny (no bigger than 2 inches). The consistency of the rice was off. Instead of having rice thats more on the flaky side maybe have rice thats more on the sticky side like sushi rice since this is usually how its served in Hawaii. The other thing I added as a topping was a piece of tamago, and its probably the only thing I really didnt like taste wise. Im used to it being somewhat sweet like in Japan, but it was pretty bland. It was nice to see Hawaiian Sun drinks available in the refrigerator, but it was hard for me to find one that wasnt really dirty on the top of the can. I even heard the family next to me mention something about that. It probably wouldnt hurt to clean the tops of the cans before you put them in the refrigerator. Also, the napkins should be made available by the utensils and not just behind the register area. But as I mentioned at the beginning, a lot of potential. Most of what I had was good to include majority of the toppings that I selected.

10/10 at hawaii ramen noodles and poke bowl Got the noodles and broth cause me and my husband was feeling under the weather. Cajun to help our sinuses. a side of dumplings which were sooo juicy i was happily satisfied. and then the chicken hawaii box was good as well the sauce in the chicken savory but sweet with a hint of garlic. Customer service from gabriel was great He brought a good sense of character to the atmosphere. Will definitely go back and will definitely reccomend. I was on my way to HEB to get sushi, unfortunately it was a Sunday evening and I hate people. I remembered this place, so my family and I headed that way. We walked in and thankfully we were the only ones, so it was already good. BUT THE FOOD, THE FOOD WAS AMAZING! I went back Tuesday, then Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. My husband and I stopped in for takeout on our way home. Amazing service with outstanding recommendations for sauces and toppings! All the ingredients were fresh and flavorful and the portions generous - we both would be full with the Regular, though my husband got the large. Try the squid salad protein! For entrees my wife ordered a poke bowl, I went with a Spicy Tankatsu Ramen, and we got a combination fried rice for our son and to have leftovers later. And we washed it all down with a taro smoothie and a blended thai ice tea. My wifes poke bowl was absolutely delicious. She ordered the regular size bowl and it was enough for two people. It was loaded with toppings, unlike some places that give you mostly rice. My ramen was the best ramen Ive ever had. The noodles were perfectly cooked with the right amount of chew, the broth was flavorful with the perfect amount of spice (I went with medium spicy to play it safe, but would go with spicy next time) My wife and I were so full we didnt get chance to try the rangoons,but we each took a bite of the fried rice and even though it didnt look as good as wed hoped the taste more than made up for it. The taro smoothie was perfect! Im not usually a fan of Thai iced tea, but this blended version was the best Ive had and will be the only way I drink tha iced tea moving forward. If youre ever in Abilene, Texas. I highly suggest you try this place out and thank me later.

He asked if it was first time and then effortlessly guided us thru an order. My wife and I really enjoyed this place. I went for the grilled chicken and shrimp poke bowl on mixed greens and spinach. I added all the veggies, avocado , crab and topped it off with Cilantro Lime Vinaigrette. Man was this a hit. The flavors entangled to make an extremely tasty meal. I worried about the portion size until I ate it. I want disappointed. I m a big eater and I was full. My wife got the Ahi Tuna and Salmon bowl with the Creamy Cilantro sauce over white rice. She was very impressed and of course couldn t eat it all. We can t wait to come back.

I love this place! Ive only been a handful of times with my significant other because we dont go out to eat often, but I have always had the best experience and food here! First impressions: The restaurant was very clean with limited seating. The food was amazing. We ordered takoyaki, dumplings Tonkotsu Ramen, and a poke bowl. This was my first time trying takoyaki after seeing it in multiple food vlogs. I now have a new favorite appetizer it has a great flavor with an awesome presentation. Next, the dumplings were fresh, tasty, and very satisfying. The Ramen broth was flavorful and really warmed you up. My only complaint is that I got medium spicy, and I felt it was a little mild. I will be getting hot next time. The pokebowl was great with a massive amount of customization options. Its definitely a great experience, and I cant wait to go back.

Wow, what a fantastic experience at Hawaii Ramen and Poke Bowl in Abilene, Texas! The Steak Hawaii Box was an absolute must-try - the steak was cooked to perfection and the flavors were out of this world! I highly recommend giving the Steak Hawaii Box a try if you are ever in the area. And dont forget to order the Thai Ice Tea, it was the perfect complement to the meal and its a must-try!
