We stopped to enjoy lunch. There is a river with a cement wall keeping people from the edge of the water, with many ducks, turtles, and other life near. It s September in Texas so it is hot but the cover and beauty surrounding (along with the pavilion being made of rock and huge wood beams) made the experience peaceful and enjoyable. I am sorry I have no pictures to share. Toilets: The restrooms were walking distance. Clean and open. Bring your own towels to dry your hands (that is nearly every public park these days). Picnic area: There are many picnic tables with some of them still having a place to barbecue. Plenty of parking for all (small, large cars, 16 passenger vans, disabled parking, etc

I love playing my singing bowls here! Its such a great spot to enjoy! I come just to observe all of the micro details within the architecture of the building! I also love the trees and the variations of birds that are perched within the trees! The park has been closed off for some time. Im not sure when it will be back in service. This is my only take away. However, its a great place to walk and enjoy nature! Dog-friendliness: Dogs are allowed! Picnic area: There are plenty of picnic benches.

I would rate a one, ONLY for the directions and parking. I was told it is by the Zoo. So when it took me to the Witte Museum, I drove away and went to the Zoo. IT IS NOT BY THE ZOO!!!! It is off Broadway. Go to the Witte, drive in. Museum on left. DoSeum directly behind it. At the intersection, keep driving straight The Joskes Pavilion is on the right. Parking to the left and straight away.

My husband and I had our 10 Year Vow Renewal here and it was perfect. We even had a wedding moon bounce and DJ. The price is amazing, and the security is reasonable and it is all around a beautiful location. We renewed our vows on our actual anniversary on July 3, 2019. It was in the middle of the week, the park was not packed and it was not miserably hot. We had a great time! We got beautiful photos near the water and by the bridge. I will definitely reserve in the future for other events. I also shared a ton of photos from our celebration on here. I am wearing the floral print wedding dress.

Nice trails, Has cookout areas. A baseball diamond. Places with scenery and spaces for playing. Plenty of ducks to feed on the stream. There are restrooms. Dog are OK, but keep on leash.

Yeah nice park Scott little train ride par of museums everything in that area I had my birthday there it was a nice birthday that barbecue pits you can grill around stuff we had a lot of food a lot of food but a nice place well kept. Also I noticed it was a stork breeding ground a lot of birds we had fun

This is a great pavilion in a great park! We were scouting locations for a picnic for our Native American Flute Circle and not only is this pavilion amazing in appearance and features but it has great acoustics as well!! All things considered, the price is quite reasonable as well. I highly recommend this venue!

The playground has been closed over 2 years due to a bird migratory priority over our children. Urine from the homeless inside pavilion. Sticky floors with either soda or what appears to be vomit. Needs MUCH improvement and care. Maintenance personnel seen outside cleaning everything other than the pavilion and playground. So sad to see taxpayer dollars consistently misappropriated. I vote to get rid of who ever is put in charge. That person is derelict of duty.

Very neglected looks absolutely nothing like pictures online the whole area smells awful the water there is thousands of white birds in trees so there is thick layer of excrement just left to smell and accumulate. Then there for some reason a very large group of vultures permanently residing around the pavilion and adjacent closed playground. The vultures alone have completely covered entire playground with feces that has been accumulating since COVID caused the playground to close. The only reason 2 stars were given and not 1 is due to the fact that it is a landmark that is salvageable with some local/city love and care.
