We visited after sunset to let a turtle free that we found in our neighborhood after seeing pictures of turtles in the comments. We didnt find any but went ahead and let him free. Even though it was agreed dark, we stayed and played at the playground for a while. It was peaceful and quiet, even with other families and kids there playing. The only thing that sucked was all of the duck poop that was caked onto the sidewalk on the walking trail.

The city needs to do a better job at upkeep... such as fixing the eroding southside bank with a retaining wall and grass. The playground area could use some new grass as well. Playground: In desperate need of grass around the play area. Toilets: A Permanent brick & mortar facility would be a blessing! Dog-friendliness: A fenced area for a dog park would hold people more accountable. And make the place more enjoyable. Picnic area: More trash cans! ...this park would be a lot nicer if trash was able to be put in the right places. Definetly in need of more trash cans.

My kids love this park. Playground and swings with covered picnic tables. The walking path goes around the pond and the kids love all the ducks. It can be a bit smelly with all the ducks but nothing terrible. Port-a-potties just in case the kids need them.

Great playground!! The open area is nice and cool for a Texas summer evening. Lighting in some areas could be better, but overall, well lit. Wish they had a place for kids to throw a football around close to the playground without being in the playground area.

Duck pond is a pretty good park. If you want to take a nice walk, bike, skate, or if youre one of those loser scooterers, duck pond is the perfect place. However, the skate park in the middle of the park seems that the property owners just wanted it to be labeled as a skate park to get more people to go there. Its nothing more than 4 ramps, a couple ledges, and a couple rails. I aslo felt like i was going to get mugged at any moment. There were ven a couple jits scrappin.

Its the best park to do the fun and exercise. I love taking walks and jogs while listening to music on Spotify from my phone. The ducks and turtles in the pond are adorable sight as well seeing other creatures coming out in the spring. Playground: The playground is awesome and safe for young kids to play--its enjoyable. Its great and important for parents to keep a close eye on their children. Dog-friendliness: Its amazing that pet owners bring their pets to exercise and play.

Lots of ducks here. Free but they dont like being touched. Unless you got food. Then theyll nibble at you. There are fish in the pond too. Love the large stones. Perfect for relaxing and reflecting. There is a skate section, a playground with swings for kids. A trail, and bathrooms. Nice place to have lunch with small tables and some benches available. Dog friendly area, please pick up after your pets. Beware of stray animals.

I have walked many times with grandkids. This park has helped me build Lots of memories I walked here when my husband died Learn to forgive the if only I walked many times alone Trying to find me I walked here when I had to heal a broken ankle then later a torn meniscus I have sat on the bench many times....but on 1 special evening Under the moon a sad moment was going to be exposed... I would lose someone N this will be my only regret in life. This had me understand the opposite emotion of if only I have seen the sun rise the moon set. I hear laughter and the ducks talk. The birds singing and the sounds of the water fountain are so relaxing. I hope to continue to go when I am old.....wait older. Cuz at 66 I am already old. So 5 stars is not the correct number to rate the park Park has no number high enough

I took my two year old this past week and he loved it. The park wasnt busy that day; Friday during the afternoon, and even if it were, the park is big enough to feel as if you and your family are the only few there. The park is sectioned off quite nice with a basketball court opposite the childrens playground. A full walk around track that people use to traverse the entire park. The ducks are friendly; sometimes a little too friendly since they are all hand fed, but quite docile around people. Overall a good experience. Playground: Kid friendly with a gym, swing sets, and pavilion. Toilets: I believe they have a port a johns on either end of the park. Dog-friendliness: People take dogs for walks along the paths constantly. Very dog friendly. Picnic area: There is a pavilion next to the kids area. There are also picnic tables and seats spread throughout the park.

Its a nice and simple park. The ducks wont bother you, but please be respectful as its their home not yours, especially if you bring your fur babies :). Its a little smelly but thats to be expected considering its a duck pond lol. Naturally theres duck droppings everywhere so watch out for that. If you go to walk, just be prepared to do a few loops to get your steps in as its a short loop around. They recently redid the playground area for children and it looks really nice. Theres also a basketball park and plenty of seating. Parking is off the road on the sides of the park. Overall its a nice park with moments of beauty and serenity. Toilets: Theres a porta-potty but I cant speak to the cleanliness. Dog-friendliness: Theres no dog park but you can definitely walk your pups here. Picnic area: There are picnic benches.

I really enjoy bringing my dog to this park, she gets to experience new animals. Feeding the ducks is fun/ really what brings us here. There s only street parking and I recommend to go with someone if you re a female (the first time I went I felt uncomfortable because of a comment made by 3 men on a bench). It s nice for families in that there s a playground/ picnic area. There s also some exercising equipment interspersed around the lake

First time being back at this park since they updated the playground equipment for the kids. They also have a swing set too. I really like it. It s definitely better than the older playground that was here prior. I m updating photos of what the playground looks like. Wish I would ve got a pic of the swings, but this is the best I could do while keeping a close eye on my kiddos. Playground: Newer upgraded playground. Out with the old, in with the new! Toilets: Restrooms are portajohns. Hate to use them. Not sure if they re clean or not.
