The Cafe de Oya taste as someones grandma made it that morning with love. The avocado toast was AMAZING with the pieces of toasted chile in it. The Orange Juice is actually fresh, not from a gallon or concentrated. Im definitely returning here again

Authentic, delicious, reasonably priced. We love it! We had the chicken enchiladas with the red sauce, the green is where its at; its packed with flavor and just enough heat. The food was amazing! I love the authentic mexican food. The Enchiladas were amazing! I tried the chicken tacos as well and they were so good! This place has great quality food. The only thing about this place is the service. I would give this place 5 stars but the service was horrible. I got there and sat for about 20mins before even getting a menu. 3 waitresses passed by and didnt stop by once. No it was not busy. Saw about a total of maybe 6 tables of customers so not to many people were there. Then the waitress finally did get there and just took the order and brought back the food. Didnt get any refills until we paid at the end. But besides the service this place has really great food. If the sevice could get better this place would be 5 stars. Also the whole time they were doing sound checks and just had the microphone making that loud noise the entire time which did effect the atmosphere of the place.

Real Mexican flavor Parking: Since it s located with many other business there is plenty of free parking space Kid-friendliness: It s a family oriented restaurant where my last visit I observed kids from different baseball teams from it looked like the minor leagues. This day the restaurant was so but so busy they had to hang the close sign at 1:000pm. Their food is absolutely delicious. Price is awesome too. I highly recommend it

Came in at 10:31am and was sent to the bar to order to go. I was finally acknowledge about five minutes later. The order was completely taken at 10:44 waitress came to ask if i still wanted the order at 11:19 when she notices I was up set. I requested ro speak to a supervisor she said that he was to busy with other big orders. Ordered pancakes and never received the butter or any of the condiments. This place was absolutely a nightmare! The waitress was sweet! But the owner and manager are absolutely horrible!! I asked for fajitas. They brought me a skirt steak with onions. I sent it back stating that that wasn t what an ordered. I did NOT eat it! The owner told the waitress to still charge us for it. The waitress was going to pay us back out of her pocket and we refused to allow that. The owner would NOT come talk to us!

Menudo is on the menu but they ran out so my search for the best menudo in SA continues. I ordered a bean n cheese taco n a chicharrón n bean taco. Both were delicious. The service was good once we were acknowledged. This took a few minutes after we were seated, not too bad. The server was very polite and the atmosphere was relaxed and pleasant. Music was playing but we could barely hear it, which was fine. The only knock was the lack of a dish (menudo) that is on the menu. I will be back and I would recommend this place.

Our first time here, They sat us and the server brought drinks quick. We placed our food order it took almost 30 minutes to get our food. So my husband and I saw a post on TikTok about this restaurant and decided to give it a try. I am so happy that we found this place through TikTok. I love their coffee and their breakfast plates were delicious. I love that everything is being served on pottery dishes, like if I was in Mexico . Will come back to try lunch and or dinner. Every single time I have been here, the food has been delicious! The drinks are made well & service is solid. This is my go-to place to bring family or friends from out of town. The menu always has something for everyone! My favorite things to share are the Cafe de Olla and Conchas con Nata. Try everything! Wheelchair accessibility: This location is very wheelchair friendly. Smooth pathway to the door and doors open wide. Tables are spaced well to get around, and staff is helpful should you need assistance.

I had a great time during my visit earlier today. The staff was very attentive and friendly during our entire visit and the cafe de olla was delicious as well. The cafe de olla is so good and doesnt require any sugar for it to taste amazing. I got the chilaquiles diablas and they had the perfect amount of spiciness to them. The only downside was that the plate did not include any tortillas, you had to pay for them if you wanted them. Overall, the atmosphere and food were amazing and felt authentic.

Only 3 stars because the food and drinks are always amazing but waitstaff lacks. Example last Thursday I met some 2 friends they were there a few minutes before me and ordered the drinks I arrived maybe 5 minutes after they received their drinks. I sat looked at the menu for maybe 5min and waited for the waitress to come by. My friends finished their drinks 5 minutes later and also waited for the waitress who never came back. I sat for a total of 35 min before the waitress came by and asked my friends if they needed anything and she didn t even acknowledge me at all. It was time for us to pick up our daughters from practice and they asked for the check she left came back with the checks and once again just ignored me no sorry I didn t see you get here; she leaves again with payment and comes back with final recipient and once again still doesnt acknowledge me. She had one big party that I would have maybe been like ok she is definitely busy; but the problem is they arrived a while after I did so really being busy was not the issue.

I give it a 5 for what I tried, which was just the sopes. I dont know if they always serve as a starter: beans, chicharrones and Mexican chips but they were delicious, the red sauce with an excellent and spicy flavor and the sopes 3 x $12 are worth it just for the taste of the sope which is delicious but for a large adult not complete with that. I ordered 2 rajas with cheese and one roast and they were very delicious. I liked the rajas one better. I loved Mariachi Thursday. The group sings super.

Its a decent place on the inside with a full bar. Their breakfast is good if youre in the area, but I wouldnt go out of my way for it. We had the Chilaquiles plate, which is $9 plus an extra $1 if you want an egg. I can honestly say, this is the first time in San Antonio that Ive been charged extra for an egg on Chilaquiles. Very few restaurants carry authentic Mexican restaurant flavor, so you have to celebrate when you do! This restaurant is simply delicious! Their food is exquisite. I had the rajas quesadilla. I do want to say it requires more rajas as I could not taste them and checked and didn t find very many. But the seasoning is on point when it comes to the Ranchero Sauce yet needs more on the plate, the green sauce which is great but isn t spicy, and the red sauce which is lightly spicy for me but oh so delicious! I loved their Ranchero Beans which I requested in lieu of refried. When you arrive, they bring you a bean and chorizo blend with pork rinds as a topping. We were so hungry, so this was a great way to welcome us and to hold ourselves until our breakfast came out. The environment is excellent. The food was tasty. The location is clean. Our server was awesome. She let us take a pic with her and all. My café de olla was great but extra sweet. They do need to put less sugar in it and provide fresh hot milk. I had to use the little milk in packets. It s not café de olla unless you accompany it with some hot milk. That would have been amazing! Still, I loved this authentic Mexican restaurant and will return again, soon.

Quiet place for the most part but with more going on weekends and music too for a bit of rowdy. Menu isnt huge but that lets them put out excellent and well presented dishes. Ive so far tried every taco and my family has tried most of their entrees with no disappointment. The dishes arent like most generic Mexican places they use more unique ingredients and preparations. The first and most immediate thing to notice is that instead of random salsa with chips, its a savory bean dip preparation with rinds/chicharonnes included. Many plates include a rind/borracho bean side as well with sausage/bacon. Their jalapeno bacon wrapped poppers also have a firm panela cheese instead of cream cheese like many others. And their table salsas are honestly hot, unlike most places and I love me some spicy. If you like beef/steak, the arrachera is excellent and actually cooked to request if so; most Mexican restaurants will butcher a steak into well done beef jerky. Drinks are varied as well between fountain/draft choices as well as hand squeeze juices and spicy/savory cocktails. A great place to have a different experience!

First time here. The food is great and so many choices. It was super loud for a Saturday night which makes it hard to have a dinner and speak to the person sitting across from you. I would definitely come back when there is not live music.

Perfect lunch. I am a huge fan of the ceramic plates and mugs. The coffee was served perfect and ready to drink. The mole was delicious and savory and the dessert is a must try.

First time to be at this restaurant and it was really good! The food was good, the staff was good, we got serviced by a lady waitress named Rachel she was truly a blessing! She took our order carefully and asked us how we wanted our food jn case of anything special to be in it as in like do you want me to remove anything from the dish or take away onions? Very helpful and love the advices of which plate is best and what it comes with. She s most likely the reason I ll go back to this restaurant for that service she gives, and for the food as well! very delicious. Thank you to Ms. Rachel!!

We were pleasantly surprised with the authentic Mexican menu which was different from Tex-Mex we are accustomed to. We will definitely be back to try some of the dishes, since we only went in for appetizers and drinks. We ordered the chicharrones and guacamole, I recommend...The chips and salsa also great..

The food was amazing. Me and my honey pop in from Dallas for the weekend and the hospitality was amazing. Food was amazing. Please try the Sope steak preferably. I order the enchiladas with red sauce with rice and beans and at the time we went, it was happy hour and they had mango strawberry and house margaritas which weren t lacking a thing. This is definitely a go to spot. It feels homey the food is great and the service is great, we definitely will be coming back every time we come to San Antonio. Lupita was amazing our food came out hot and she checked on us and did not leave us forever wondering if she would come back.
