Whether we dine in-between errands, after a round of golf, or to celebrate loved ones- Cuishe is our favorite Mexican restaurant in town. Both locations are fantastic, with equally hospitable and friendly Staff. Most recently we enjoyed lunch at the St Paul Square location with Monica as our waitress. We appreciated her attention to our experience and her knowledge of the revelry updated menu. Can t wait to be back!

I think this is genuinely the worst dining experience I ve ever had. The service was truly AWFUL. There were 4 people total in the restaurant and our server didn t even attempt to explain the menu at alllll, was barely present, and the guys next to us got the wrong order. It was laughably horrible and I left after $100 worth of apps. I don t think a single person there cares about their job at all. The staff isn t fit for fast food and the food was fine, but not great. I don t think anyone cared tonight at all.

We went in for a late dinner because both Google and a sign on the door said the restaurant closed at 2am. While we were still seated at the table the music was turned off, the front door closed, and the waiting staff congregated behind the bar and just watched us. We got the hint and left before 1 am. I understand it s late on a Saturday night, but why have your business hours listed as one thing yet in reality be another?

Went this past Sunday afternoon and had an excellent experience. Our server was Ventura. He was amazing, knowledgable, and super friendly. He recommended the pork tacos, which honestly one of the best things I have ever eaten in San Antonio. This restaurant is an indulgence of spice. Every thing was delicious and the atmosphere was super-chill, with the potential to be a great night hot spot.

We came here for date night on a Friday night. The restaurant is nice but you have to pay for parking since this place doesnt have their own lot. There werent very many people and although our waitress started out nice and attentive, she ended up ignoring us for quite some time after we got our food so we eventually flagged another server down. The food is ok, nothing remarkable. We did like the fideo soup but my flautas were very dry and lacked seasoning. My wifes tacos were incredibly tiny and not filled very well so she had to order something else to feel full. They were good though. For the price tag I expected more. The drinks were awesome. Overall, its one of those restaurants you eat at once and probably never go back to. Id recommend for the drinks though.

First time with my boyfriend, server took quite a while to welcome us. When he finally did he wasn t at all welcoming and seemed in a rush, wasn t suggestive when I asked about drinks. Didn t approach us when we got our food and didn t check in on us after taking our order. Someone else brought our bill. Food is also overpriced, we got basic street tacos and wasn t worth what we paid. It s aesthetically pleasing but service isn t even decent. Hope someone else has a better experience.

I m visiting from Canyon Lake & we came solely by the reviews. They did not disappoint, we tried the queso fundido, enchiladas suizas, empanadas we delicious. And the cantarito was a favorite. I visited this restaurant and honestly the food is really good (despite the small portions for the price) and the atmosphere is awesome; however, I was very disappointed when I noticed that a 20% gratuity was included in my check for a table of 4 persons only. Many restaurants add an automatic gratuity to parties of six or more and often the gratuity is set at 18% (which is fine!), but 20% for a party of 4 is a lot, especially when the food is a bit pricey. Im in favor of leaving tips all the time, but this should be at the discretion of the customers, not mandatory, unless you notify the customer in advance which was not the case. Its real disappointing to have this type of surprises after a good dinner.

The Hostess with long black curly hair was a bit rude at first. The atmosphere is perfect for a chill date night or a family dinner night. Our server Jose was wonderful! He answered our questions with grace and was very polite and fast! I had the Tacos de Pulpo and they so delicious and TENDER! My husband had the Torta de Solomillo Bistek and he loved it! The meat was also tender and the black beans complimented it very well. The small Cantarito was very well mixed and just the right amount of liquor. Also had a double shot of Patron to end the night. Cuishe left a lot to be desired. I made reservations so we were seated quickly. Although staff was friendly, they were slow and it wasn t that busy. Food lacked a lot of flavor. The shrimp on my tacos was clearly burnt and hardly edible and they still served it. I tried a friends molè enchiladas and they were delicious. Cocktails were okay. I wouldn t return. Prices don t match the quality of food or service.

Sofia took care of us today. The service was exceptional, the food hot and delicious, and the price for happy hour items was just right. I highly recommend bringing friends or a date here. The ambience and decor is top notch. All parking is paid so make sure you download the city parking app. Well worth the $2/ hour to park close to the restaurant as all parking downtown is paid and generally moderately pricey. Interesting experience. Unique central Mexico food choices. Definitely not Tex-Mex, in a good way. Tongue, bugs and calf brains are on the menu. Happy hour has good beer prices, and a unique tequila drink, but no margarita or other mixed drinks specials. We sat in the bar which has more of a club vibe than a Mexican restaurant. The service was ok, they got busy and things slowed down.

10/10 experience!!! Hosted a bridal shower this past weekend and it was literal perfection. The staff was fantastic in making sure we all had drinks and that our food orders were correct. This place is horrible. The restaurant says walk-ins welcome but that is not true. We unexpecting found ourselves downtown and looking for somewhere to eat. When we entered the restaurant there was about 3 parties sitting inside and the rest of the restaurant empty. We would told by the hostess that it would be 3 hours in order for us to be sat for a party of 4. When we asked why that was she said it was because they had no availability which clearly did not seem to be the case. We asked to speak to the manager and the hostess then acted like she did not understand English and what our request was. So we just left to take our business else where. The vibes here are great, and the food is overall above average, but it is pretty pricey and not worth the cost in my opinion. Service was also on the slower side, and it took a while for the food to come out and to get the check. (Dont come here if you want a quick bite to eat/drink.) I got the Chile en Nogada, which was a sizable portion of a stuffed pepper that was covered in a creamy sauce. The flavors were balanced and the sauce wasnt overpowering of the pepper nor filling--overall very yummy. However, I dont think its worth the $28 price tag. This restaurant is very accommodating to large groups though, so if you are looking to book parties of 10+, this is a prime spot.

I decided to host a graduation party at this restaurant. We had expectations that were not met after seeing false advertisements from social media. The drinks, the service, the quality of the food, and the management was exceptionally poor. We had issues with our order and we asked our server to mitigate the situation, but they offered no solution. We asked for a solution with a manager, but they never came around. This sort of business is not to be supported, and it has no business being in the customer service industry. If you would like to order a guacamole with two chips. Go here. If you would like to order a skirt steak entrée with a total of 3 ounces of steak, served with absolutely no sides, go here. Don t waste your time here. We should have known when we could ve made a 10 person reservation within two hours of dinner perhaps it s our fault .

This restaurant is amazing! The menu is an extraordinarily creative take on traditional cuisine from central Mexico. Karen, our server, was very patient with our questions, and helped us choose a nice mix of dishes. I had the Chile en Nogada, and it was superb! When you get tired of Tex-Mex, Cuishe Cocina Mexicana is the perfect antidote. Bravo!

I had a 5:30 reservation and it was somewhat empty with plenty of staff. Everyone was welcoming which I love. My dinner was mouthwatering and amazing. I d love to try something else, but I will say for the time I was there for dinner our server was nice but not attentive. The place itself is beautiful definitely check out the bar. El bar está lindo. I was digging the music they had as well. I recommend the Tuetanos with some beans.

We were staying at the hotel across the street and saw this place. The restaurant is beautiful (even if their HVAC was struggling to heat it up-they warned us about it before seating us). The food was perfection: the quesadilla, bistec tacos and chicken flaunts were full of flavor. The little side of green salsa with eat plate was delicious and I wish they sold a bottle of it! We also had the Salsa Sampler which was good but be careful, it was quite spicy. Great place for some small plates and delicious drinks. Date night perfection!
