Divorce sucks. I just had the unfortunate job of walking through the process with a family member of mine, and I can tell you it was an arduous undertaking. To preserve her privacy, I am writing this review of Barton & Associates on her behalf, based on my own observations. Unsure of what to expect, I went with her to meet Mr. Barton and his team where we were warmly welcomed in, offered water, and made comfortable. During that initial meeting, we were introduced to Mr. Anthony Rodriguez who was assigned the case. Both he and Mr. Barton were incredibly kind, knowledgeable and compassionate. These were not the stereotypical attorneys you see on TV, rushed and disinterested. They were genuinely interested in my cousins safety/well-being/best interest and were committed to finding a resolution that made sense for her unique case. Almost immediately, I could see the stress disappear from her face. That was the same level of professionalism they maintained the duration of her case, which ultimately led to a favorable outcome. Mr. Barton and Mr. Rodriguez are the real deal, and if you are lucky enough to work with them, you will not be disappointed. These gentlemen know their stuff and arent afraid of putting in the work to take care of their clients. They took after hours phone calls when emergencies came up, were responsive to email traffic and kept my cousin looped in as things progressed. The paralegals we met (Ms. Patricia and Ms. Lauren) were also incredibly helpful in getting things moving and coordinated with the attorneys. Nobody wants to go through divorce (or watch their loved one endure this hardship), but if it must happen, this is the team you want in your corner. I pray our family never has to go through any legal proceedings like this in the future, but if we do, I can say with total certainty I know where we are going. Barton & Associates brought clarity where it was needed and stepped in to fight for what was ethical and right. We will not forget the work they did to change my cousins life for the better. Because of them, she was given a second chance at creating a more safe and stable environment for herself and children. A priceless gift.

After meeting Mr. Barton and under the impression we hired him we ended up with an associate. We needed communication during trial and we were told we couldnt speak to Mr. Barton. During trial it seemed as if they werent prepared even tho they had almost 2 years to prepare. We were given hope and told we had a really good case. Many times his vehicle was there and we were told oh hes not in. I do not recommend his firm.

I highly recommend Barton & Associates! I was charged w/ a Felony DWI and a misdemeanor w/ it in Bexar county. Barely a year passed and Barton & Associates were able to get my Felony DWI and misdemeanor dismissed completely. I can t express enough gratitude for all y all s help! Where do I start? I will start by saying Thank you to Gary and his staff! Especially, Gary himself, Brittany and Cameron. When I first contacted the office last year on behalf of my son who was 18 at that time. Cameron was so kind and concerned about the situation and proceed to scheduled an appointment with me and Gary to speak that evening. My first conversation with Gary, he didn t talk to me about money or any consultation fees! I spoke to home almost an hour that day (late Friday evening). First he already had details of the case from what I ve explained to Cameron earlier! He was concerned about my son well being and his mental health! He proceeded to have another consultation with my parents the next following week because they questions. Again, he did not mind speaking to them! No consultation fees! It wasnt until after our 3rd conversation when I decided to hire his firm! Gary and Brittany went to work. I hired him for the case end of May of last year and the case was closed on August of last year . I cannot think of any other firm to represent my family beside this firm! I found myself in a very serious legal predicament, which included multiple serious charges that seemed poised to not only put my career of 20+ years in jeopardy, but also fracture my relationship with my wife and kids and potentially land me in jail. Going through my first legal problem of my life, I was riddled with anxiety, and had no idea where to start. Two of my closest friends who knew of my situation, coincidentally recommended Barton and Associates to me, which led me to research this Law Firm. After discovering the impeccable reputation and track record of Barton and Associates across EVERY resource I came across, deciding to hire Barton and Associates to defend me was a no-brainer. I called Barton and Associates and spoke with Mr. Gary Barton. In short--he was awesome. He allowed me to explain all of the details of my case, provided guidance on how I should proceed forward, and provided me reassurance that they would provide me the best legal defense for my situation. He quickly assigned my case to Ms. Andrea Matos, an ABSOLUTELY AMAZING lawyer that I cannot say enough great things about. Throughout my ordeal, she provided me guidance, reassurance, and made herself available any time I had a question, concern, or really anything I needed regarding my case, with the utmost respect and professionalism toward me and my family. Although my situation seemed dire (at least to me), she remained confident that we could win our case, and helped ease my anxiety, providing guidance through each step of the lengthy legal process. Then, the words that wed been working so hard on hearing were said: NOT GUILTY. A rush of endorphins and relief came over me like a tidal wave. Andrea Matos had won my case, bringing my legal nightmare to the best possible conclusion. Months of anxiety of legal proceedings have now become a tremendous weight lifted off of my shoulders; and my family and I can now move forward in the positive direction that I know was meant for us. And that is all because of the outstanding representation from Andrea Matos. Looking back, picking up my phone and calling Barton and Associates is the best decision I could have ever made in that moment, and Im very grateful for this Law Firms expert-level defense. My wife and I are on cloud nine. The best criminal defense law firm in San Antonio. Look no further. I was charged with a Class A misdemeanor with an additional charge in the toughest county in Texas (Comal County). Not only did they manage to get the state prosecutor to drop the additional charge but they also managed to lower my charge from a class A misdemeanor to a class B misdemeanor which resulted in a plea deal that only involved differed adjudication probation for me. This means that once my probation is over, the charge would be dismissed and ultimately expunged from my record. Throughout the whole process, any and all questions were quickly answered, and all paperwork was done perfectly and on time. I never had to worry about anything as the law firm made sure to contact me and inform me of everything. I am very glad that I chose this law firm. The price for services was fair and a payment plan was even offered. When it comes defending yourself from state prosecution you get what you pay for. I can only imagine how bad things would of been if I had taken a court appointed lawyer. Glad I chose Barton & Associates. 10/10

But then I came across Barton & Associates and its like everything just felt at ease after I asked them to handle my case. To start, I was originally denied to travel to Florida to do Hurricane work for the State of Florida Government by the State of Florida. But Mr. Barton was NOT having that. Gary, Andrea and his staff have been nothing but amazing. Somewhat recently, I was forced into the ugly realm of divorce, and assault. It was a bogus charge and everybody knew it, including the judge, my friends, family, and funny enough, even her family. As a person who has NEVER had anything remotely close to a criminal record, lets just say I was lost. I didnt know what to do, nor who to turn to. By the Grace of God, I found Gary Barton online. He answered my phone call almost immediately, which I guarantee you was on a weekend. He immediately talked me down off the ledge, and let me know everything was going to be alright. Over the course of the next few months, he gradually eased me in to the realm of criminal law. Thankfully, mine was just a Class C misdemeanor, but it doesnt make it all the less stressful. Long story short, Gary sat with me, personally in court, on several occasions, and acted as my legal liaison while speaking to the judge. It took some time, which was out of our control, but ultimately ALL charges were dropped. Their patience with me and all of my outside influences were second to none. My case started with me in a bad position because of my background and things looked very grim. I was very worried, stressed out, and didnt know where to turn. When I found Barton & Associates on Google, I gave them a call and I immediately spoke to Gary who gave me free advice. Then I scheduled a visit and explained to him everything. Gary Barton was very attentive, empathic, and understanding. He was exactly what I was looking for in a Lawyer and so I hired his law firm. Over the course of a 16 months, Gary kept me informed of the status of my case, was honest about the facts, and always had a plan B if plan A failed. He was persistent with the investigator and relentless with the prosecutor. This is exactly what you want in a lawyer. The end result was my case being dropped by the prosecutor for not enough evidence. Gary and his team convinced the Prosecutor to drop my case! What better result could you ask for? I hired Mr Barton after catching an MTR on a felony with zero tolerance. Also added a few new allegations to my case.. I was told due to the seriousness of my case I would receive 10-20 years in prison for breaking my deferred adjudication terms. No lie, I was scared!
