food was edible but wet with grease enough that i immediately needed to go brush my teeth. super small place. better food, atmosphere and service can be found at a carnival food stand. no need to ever go back as there is nothing special about this place that isnt open past 2pm.

If I can give them a 10, I would! Mainly because of the excellent hospitality and the genuine kindness of Susie and Steve. I ordered the Peanut Butter Bacon Burger, coz I had a playful appetite and hubby ordered the Texas Steak Dip. Whoever thought PB&J would go well with a burger? They did! And they were right! It was delicious! The burger was nicely seasoned, and perfectly complemented by the sweetness of PBJ. The Texas Steak Dip was also very, very good! Tender, flavorful steak cuts on a sub bun with a side of au jus that s packed with flavor. Now, I will caution you that you will have to give it a few minutes before your first bite coz they serve it piping hot off the grill, give it some time to cool off, if Susie is there, she will keep you entertained while you wait for your first bite. Next time we ll try a couple of unique sides from their menu. This place is GOOD EATS for a very reasonable price in downtown San Antonio.

first time visiting and i am pleasantly impressed with the outcome of my food. i ordered the Texan Bacon, Egg and Cheese Sandwich and it was absolutely scrumptious; the toast had a nice crunch and buttery taste, the bacon a delicious applewood bacon cooked to krispy goodness, the egg fried and seasoned to perfection, and last but not least the cheese, gooey, melty cheesyness. very small but cozy vibe. the cook was very kind and funny he definitely takes pride in his cooking skills and goes out of his way to make sure the guests seated, are enjoying their food when given the opportunity. will definitely be coming back.

My husband and I stopped on our way back to Dallas for a quick bite to eat and we were extremely impressed. Amazing food, and great service. Furthermore, I ended up accidentally leaving my purse with my wallet and whole world in it and did not realize it until we returned to Dallas. The amazing team and ownership held onto it and kept it safe and even helped ship it back to me! Only thing better than quality food, is knowing you re in the presence of quality people! Definitely try them out if you haven t. 12/10 would recommend! We will certainly be back next time we are in town!

Oops Sorry, but Nope. Man i really wanted to like this place. Please Do not believe the delicious reviews about their brisket quesadilla. It was gross!! And how do u mess up a cheese burger?..come on! Hashbrowns were good. Spent 50 bucks on a grilled chicken burger which was not terrible, A cheese burger, and the brisket quesadilla. They do not serve fries or onion rings. It was chips or hashbrowns. No fountain drinks. Such a good location for a mediocre tasting menu. To be fair I did hear from a coustomer who noticed our foul face as we each tried the cheese burger, that they have a phenomenal tasting breakfast sandwich. Perhaps it was just a bad day . I hope this place improves. We will not return.

Im not the type to leave reviews, but Texan Sizzle is the one restaurant that definitely deserves one. As the food came out, it was hot and absolutely delicious. Flavorful and rich. My family got the BBQ brisket quesadilla, peanut butter Texas Bacon Party Melt, pickle sandwich, Texas Cheesetake Sandwhich and Cheese quesadilla. All would absolutely recommend each of these items. The greatness doesnt stop at the food though. The moment we walked in we were greeted warmly by the staff memeber up front. My brother is a part of the military, and moment the staff saw him walk in, they called up Leonard, the boss, who covered my brothers meal as a thanks for his service. Ive never walked into a place and faced such great hospitality and a welcoming staff. He even came over to chat to my brother about his sons military service and told him to write a letter to him, and that he would respond. Its a small place but with big heart and great food. I usually get tacos at Plantequeria, but I thought Id try something different today after getting caught in the rain. I mentioned the price being high for a simple bean & cheese taco ($3.50) to which the cashier responded, they tacos are really big. It is unclear what is considered big to this restaurant, but I wouldnt consider this a big taco at all. :/ The taste of the beans was bland even adding salt didnt change the blandness much. I considered taking it back, but a friend suggested I dont. (Not for any particular reason towards the restaurant) Idk if it was the owner or not, but the gentleman on the floor seemed kind and professional.

We ordered 2 simple breakfast tacos. One bean & cheese, and one bacon and egg. They took OVER 40 minutes to make it. It looked gross. The cashier was not at all apologetic, the cook kept leaving the kitchen to make small talk with people. Ive eaten here before and today was the absolute WORST experience Ive had with them. We came in town for Fiesta weekend, and found this little spot near our hotel. Food was great and prices were not expensive! I recommend the breakfast carne guisada taco! The owner and his wife are very sweet and kind people. They kept checking in to see if we needed anything and also gave us some recommendations. They also have a convenient store and bar next door as well. If you are ever in downtown San Antonio stop by and get you some really yummy food!

Texan Sizzle is a fantastic breakfast and lunch restaurant in downtown San Antonio. It is a smallish spot with only a few tables inside. So glad that we found this diamond in the rough! It s off the beaten path and so worth the extra 5 min to find if you are on the Riverwalk. My hubby had the Philly cheesesteak and I had the cheeseburger. He has had many and said this one was up there with the best! My cheeseburger was very tasty! I really enjoyed the fresh veggies and cheddar cheese on it! And homemade hash browns!! Looking forward to a breakfast taco in the morning! They re open everyday from 9-3! Found this little gem of a spot during Spring Break 2024. Very small eating area but we lucked out getting the only 4 seat table in the restaurant. All other tables are 2 seaters or wall seating. No wait staff just a cashier and the cooks. Walk up ordering and the food is prepared quickly. The place was very busy with most people getting food to go. Delicious greasy burger and brisket quesadilla. Not the place to visit if youre watching your diet. They have no fryers just foods they can make on the grill. They allow you to go to the convenience store next door to get beer and beverages and bring back to consume. We enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. The staff was friendly and professional.

I have eaten there 2 days in a row and plan on going back. They are very polite and will make what you want if its not on menu. The food is fresh and delicious. I wanted a omelet and they made it. The best Ive ever had.

AMAZING FOOD!! Everything we got today was absolutely amazing! We got a Texan Steak Dip, a Texan Cheesesteak Sandwich, Brisket Taco, and Texan Bacon Patty Melt. You cannot go wrong with anything you choose to order here! Food was hot and delicious! Cant wait to come back for the Sizzle Hot dog!

Very small location.... it may look sketchy from the outside but dont let that fool you! The place is very clean and always busy. Everything is al carte so know that when ordering. There is not much of a dine-in area and very small (I, mean a small outdoor seating area). You order at the counter and wait for your name to be called for your food order. The staff here are kind and deliver the food to your table. I ordered outside my normal, grilled cheese sandwich because there were out of hotdogs . The tacos tasted amazing and my son enjoyed the chicken sandwich. I probably wont order the grilled cheese tho.. too greasy. Parking: There is no parking available.

I m local to San Antonio and when I m downtown this is where I get my tacos! The tacos and all of the breakfast is great here. The restrooms are for customers only so they are clean and orderly. Make sure you check it out

We made a quick stop for breakfast. Portions are significant and the food is very tasty. I made the mistake of assuming the breakfast tacos would all come with eggs, they do not. Im sure they would add them. It was a two man show when we were there, but they were doing a fantastic job hustling and taking care of everyone.

In town with friends for the weekend and came across this little Gem! Let me say if you re a local or planning on visiting this is a must stop in and try. We had a little bit of everything from the menu and all I have to say is WOW. I wanted to go back again but didn t have time. Small little homey feeling. Next time I m near I ll be stopping in!!

Stopped here on a whim, i was pleasantly surprised. Had a potato and egg taco and some hash brown. Both were delicious, the potato and egg was seasoned well. And the hash brown were cooked to perfection. Definitely recommend.

We were down in San Antonio from Canada and went downtown multiple times. We ate here twice and found the found excellent. Their burgers were great along with their version of a Philly Steak sandwich. Only negative was they didnt have a vegetarian or fish option other than a grilled cheese. I highly recommend this place and it is located right across the street from the citys oldest hotel which is just a gem. Make sure you walk around inside.

A sign for breakfast tacos just off the boardwalk originally caught my attention. I tried both of their limited breakfast tacos. Being from out of town I figured those would be my best bet. Both were delicious. Tyler was our cook and super pleasant. He recommended the Texan cheese steak and a few other items to try. I came back and those definitely didnt disappoint either.

My husband and I found this hidden gem and we are so glad we did. The owner is so nice and informative about the different items on the menu. We both had the carne guisada and it was phenomenal. We absolutely recommend this place if you want to get away from chain restaurants and go where the locals go.

Met out of town family there for lunch. Place was very small and the 6 of us plus 2 babies took up most of the space. They were very accommodating and told us to move tables to get comfortable. Food was great! We stayed and visited for awhile and they were still able to take in other customers. Parking: Location was downtown and had to use a parking lot to park. Very expensive to park just for an hour and a half lunch but if planning to spend a whole day downtown or if staying close by, the parking would be worth it.

Our first meal in Texas was this place and I will say the reviews are absolutely accurate. The food was delicious. We had cheeseburgers and split a hash brown. It was so good! Hands down the friendliest people too. Leonard and the young lady at the counter was so sweet. We certainly felt welcomed and will be back!

Delicious! We came here for lunch since we were going to visit downtown San Antonio and it was really close by. We got Brisket, Beef, and Chicken tacos as well as a Chicken quesadilla. Everything was well-cooked, though both chicken fillings were a bit too salty. It s a pretty small restaurant, so there is limited seating. Overall, the food was great and priced very reasonably.

The reviews on Google were excellent ....we walked a short distance from our hotel... I had an excellent BLT with avocado and extra veggies, and my husband really liked his Texan cheesesteak with pepperjack cheese. Its a clean, but small, establishment with friendly/fast service, excellent burgers and sandwiches @ reasonable prices. (Havent tried the breakfast tacos.)
