Amazing!! Way different than any other escape room! We did the saint castle one and omg it was great. We escape with 2 minutes left. A crazy experience! We came back the bext weekend to try the impossible murder mystery and LOVED IT!

We had an AMAZING time! We did St. Angelos Castle. It started off so unexpectedly and so cool. The both of us (two of us did the room) had a GREAT time. We survived! We will DEFINITELY be returning to do the other room!

Did not like how dark the serial killer room was and they wouldn t confirm if there was a live actor or not. I have anxiety and need to know these things. I m not signing up for a haunted house I m looking to use my brain and solve puzzles. The link room was alright too. I don t like starting games handcuffed or chained up. It s not safe and against fire code.

My first time going to an escape room. It was fun solving the game with friends. The staff lady working there was very friendly and helpful and helped to make it a good experience. This was a positive experience for me so I will likely do a future one again with friends. The shopping center itself looks pretty abandoned but this place is here and open. You need to schedule in advance though and not just walk in.

Not sure what escape rooms the people leaving these reviews are going to. We have done about 30 escape rooms over the last few years. This was not great. It is in a shady mall near 410 and its 1 room split into two. There is no tech like other escape rooms. You push on stuff and the person monitoring the room unlocks doors. The puzzles are handwritten on pieces of cloth and barely legible. I would try the other brands in town especially the one downtown.

My dad and I did the murder mystery escape room, and it was such a blast! Even though it was just himself and I, we were able to put our brains together and figure out how to escape! You don t need too much brain power for puzzles (which are usually my least favorite in escape rooms) and more think/do. Super spooky vibes, I screamed a couple times! Definitely come here for an escape room if you re in SA!

Absolutely love this place. Did both escape rooms that they currently have and had an amazing time. I ve been to about 7-9 escape rooms and none of them compare. Others just walk you in and tell you what you have to do instead of setting a tone/vibe. This one is a whole experience. I can t wait for their third room!

Had a great time. We selected the Spanish Inquisition escape room which was reasonably challenging, and extremely fun! Staff was very informative, polite and kind. Very good experience, would HIGHLY reccomend doing these in groups of 2-3 people to keep immersion and difficulty at a good level.

Me and my husband are avid players. Weve done over 100 rooms and this was amazing. Not just for the ambiance but the customer service is top knotch. The young lady who helped us (7/29/22 at 9pm) was amazing and so kind. She was very good at making us feel apart of the game and making sure we understood the back story. We did the hardest room and wish yall had more so we could return. We would love to come try out Frankenstein when its finished. We traveled from ft worth and would do so again. Thank you for making our vacation special.

This room was very atmospheric and very well done! We had a great time as a group of four, and found the room to be challenging but very manageable. (We are all escape room veterans.) I love this place! We went on Mothers Day and the hostess (Huda, I think was her name) was wonderful and made everything very entertaining for us. We will be back for another SOON! The best escape room I have been to in San Antonio and I have been to many. Very interactive, I felt like I was really in the scene. So much fun, does not disappoint! A little background...my wife and I love escape rooms and have done somewhere in the realm of 70-80 of them from all over the world. This place ranks in my top 5 escape rooms in the world that weve seen, and by far the best one weve found in San Antonio. The rooms are creative, (kinda spooky), clever enough to be challenging, but not easy enough to be simple. My only complaint is they only had 2 rooms for us to do! Here is hoping they open some more!

Did Saint Angelos, it was very atmospheric and unlike any other escape room Ive done so far. My main complaints were that it felt like they handed us the win. We would try something to solve a puzzle, think we did it wrong and try looking for clues. As we looked for clues, suddenly we would just hear something pop open. Happened quite a bit, I dont know if it was delayed or if they just felt bad for us. One part of the escape room, some sort of locked chest and key outta reach, seemed like it was skipped for us, it never popped up in the room.Other than those technical difficulties, the staff were very nice and sweet. I probably will come back some day to check out the other room, maybe it will redeem this place for our group

The best escape rooms I have ever done period hands down. We had so much fun doing the first one that we did the murder mystery the very next night. These rooms have amazing puzzles that are challenging but fun. It has a great flow and doesnt make it confusing on what you should be doing more then is necessary. The best part is that the overall vibe and feeling is like you are actually in the setting that the room is cast in. I literally cannot say enough good things about these two rooms. The staff was great and helpful and the rooms were amazing. They definitely are the two best rooms Ive ever done and again I cant stress it enough make you feel in the story, while making the puzzles make sense and linear progressive. My only complaint is that I wish they had more rooms to do. It was so fun I would be tempted to take friends or family back just to see them in these two rooms. Just so you know the murder mystery is easier then the other one but definitely has a spooky feel to it. 10/10 and cant wait for their new room to open.

Solved the Murder Mystery in 24 minutes with no clues!!!! Woo Hoo! This room has so much content that will keep you busy, thinking and on your toes the entire time you are there. If you are an experienced escape gamer this was a very fun game. Our family has played 50+ games so we escaped fairly quickly. Difficulty was about medium but the thrilling atmosphere made this game defly worth playing. Had us on our toes and a tad bit creeped out! Huda was FABULOUS. Overall a great experience. We had 1 or 2 technical issues where the puzzle took a few minutes to respond correctly, that being said, the issues were small and not a deal breaker. Finished in 40 minutes, but totally felt we got the full experience, and very worth the money. St. Angelos Castle was not technically scary, but was definitely creepy/dark. Great décor and very immersive vibe.

Decently themed dungeon room, mostly darkness and fake brick but the mechanics and electronics didnt work. Multiple puzzles failed multiple times... Staff wasnt paying great attention so it took a long time... 30 dollars a person for a non-premium experience is not worth it. Go elsewhere

I am shocked at all the good ratings here. We were a team of 2 and competed the room in under 30 minutes. Total of 5 or 6 puzzles. Also you walk through the second room to get to the start so you need to close your eyes and than the door way is only about 5.5 feet tall so you have to duck and hope to not hit your head. The GM was great and the space was clean, but man if you re here with a group of more than 2 people it s going to be pretty boring.

We did the Murder Mystery room and it was a blast! Basically a haunted house combined with an escape room. I ve never been in a room like that before. My husband signed us up for the murder mystery room, thinking it would be like a detective theme. We arrived and were surprised to see it was set up like a murder scene! *Disclaimer* the room was fantastic, so what Im about to say is not a complaint or criticism - but the room was definitely scary. There are sound effects, a couple jump scares, low lighting....without giving too much away. It was very realistic and as someone who freaks out in scary movies, I was freaked out the whole time. When I decided the scare factor was too much, the person working was so sweet to tone down the room so we could finish without me being scared. (I know. Big baby.) Who knew, we only had a few minutes left until we finished anyway! Maria was the employee helping us and she was just fantastic. She was so sweet and had tons of recommendations for us while were in town. I cant say enough good things about this business or Maria. She was fantastic and we cant wait to go to the other room they have running!

What a dud. Service clerk said it would be scary. Not! The story line was a fizzle. She typically provides up to 10 or more clues to people s but we took two clues. Very cramped, hot, and stuffy. What a let down. I ve been to some amazing escape rooms and this was a big disappointment for the amount of money spent. This escape room was in San Antonio. Check out escape rooms in Branson Mo.

Great escape room!It was my first Texas escape room (I am used to the ones in Colorado) and was was one of the most immersive ones with our Hostess, Clau, really doing a wonderful job! She really helped set up the story and explained all the rules easily. Puzzles are challenging but not impossible. I personally think they are great for people starting off with escape rooms. Would love to try their other room next time I am in Texas!

So we went to Komnata to celebrate my best friends graduation from college. We chose murder mystery. And first of all it was filled with satanic ideology and items. We didn t expect that and wouldn t have chosen it if had we known. However, the experience itself was fun to do with friends. Secondly, they had a large gate that lead to a crawl space. The gate was heavy. It was open and when I started to come out, it closed on my back. It was a really heavy gate and when I explained what happened to the worker, she said sorry and she doesn t know how it happened. No offer for a free game in the future, or partial refund or anything. I was injured by their game. I gave it 2 stars because we had fun regardless but I wish they would have cared more about my injury.

we had a really great time this was the first time I have ever done one of these and I was a little skeptical but it really is fun and adventurous. I really like the storylineand how everything falls into place once you figure out the connections. I came into town from Houston and took my daughter there with me. The suspense and thrill was Non-Stop. We did the murder mystery but I plan on coming back to do the dungeons and Castle story line next time.

My daughter and I had such a great time. We have done a few escapes in the past in other cities and found this is one of the best! Juda was a wonderful host. She played her part very well to help us get into the story mode. I cant wait to go again and participate in the other room.

My husband and I recently did the murder mystery room and it was crazy good! We ve been to three other places in SA and this has by far blown away all the competition this far. The clues flowed well and really challenged you to think and get involved. Everything was well thought out, interactive, suspenseful, and kept you on your toes. Will definitely go again! Bonus points: the pricing is great!

WOW! What a freaking night. I have done 40+ escape rooms and THIS right here was my most favorite experience EVER!! Me and my friend played Boxed Up and absolutely enjoyed it. The room was challenging but not too difficult at the same time. The experience was so immersive and made us feel like we were actually being kidnapped. Huda was a fabulous game host and she did a phenomenal job!! Give this place a shot because you won t regret it. Edit: We went back and did the other two rooms and they were amazing too! Impossible Murder mystery was so much fun and scared me quite a bit. St. Angelo s Castle was also crazy good with immersion and puzzles. Suroor was a fantastic game master and really made the experience great. Highly recommend any of the 3 rooms!!

My friend and I decided to play all 3 of their rooms and WOW we had a blast. Ill start off by saying all three rooms were incredibly immersive and probably some of the best weve ever done. Huge shoutout to Huda and Suroor for being incredible gamemasters and making our experience so great. if you ever have a chance you should definitely come here highly recommend it!

It was fun! My first time doing an escape room and it was about what I expected. However my friend told me it was actually scarier than the ones she has gone to before. The clues were tough but not tough enough that we couldnt get out! They offer to give you hints if you ask. I liked that it was multiple rooms and all the hidden objects.

After playing at every escape room in san antonio this has to be my favorite. The box is a experience like no other and I loved it. The St. One was also pretty awesome. A group of 2 can complete this is you work well together. Best part was this escape room had nothing broken! No locks that when you put the code in wont open or devices that that dont trigger at the right time. Best overall escape room in san antonio when fun and critical thinking come into play

It was my first time attempting an escape room and I had the BEST time here! I tried out murder mystery and the attention to detail was phenomenal. It was challenging enough to keep me on my toes but not too challenging to where it was impossible to escape. Attempted three of their rooms today and I will admit they were very well thought out. The rooms were extremely atmospheric, almost eerie at times, waiting for those jump scares that may or may not happen. Some interesting puzzles with some really diabolical tests made the whole experience even better. Only downfall was being locked inside a box and your fellow escapee Breaks Wind. Not a pleasant experience but Im sure our hostess found it amusing! Speaking of which, our hostess Julia was very attentive (and attractive too, with a beautiful accent!) and on hand to guide us through some of the difficult moments.. Would I recommend Komnata Escape rooms? Very much so. Good pricing structure too. Thank you, Nick ( 1 of the Three Stooges Escape Artists!)

The atmosphere of the escape rooms here was amazing! The puzzles were challenging and varied. Some other escape rooms have simple solve a combination lock and use the answer to solve another combination lock, but Komnata had physical puzzles, brain teasers and more. Wish they had more rooms, it is awesome!

Awesome place. As soon as you walk in, the entire waiting area is painted black, and has obscure lighting. Really sets the mood for things to come. Need to use your wits to finish these puzzles and escape. Affordable price. Really feels like your being kidnapped at the beginning. Cant wait to go back and try more rooms. Keep up the good work! Weve gone to and completed many escape rooms all over Tx. Komnata is our favorite by far. It really makes you feel like you are apart of the room, and the experience is beyond entertaining. We went two days in a row while vacationing in San Antonio. The staff was professional, and are very familiar with the rooms. Is was a great family experience, and we will be back for more.
