If you want a fast divorce come see them! I got tired of waiting in the zoom meetings and being locked out after hours of waiting. Being military and having to call that zoom meeting line at certain hours was tough. I got tired of waiting and decided to take action, I called Brandon Wong and his team - he had me divorced the same day! (after my 60 days). Grace, was so helpful and professional. The price was decent, but most importantly they made it happen.

My parents and I hired Megan Meyerson as our attorney for a custody battle for custody with my ex husband. Everything seemed great at first. She had fire and passion, she really fought for us. Then things drastically changed. She stopped fighting for us, I found out how bad things changed today. I spoke with the OAG today and found out half the things we were charged for never happened. She informed me that the child support could be zero out but the medical support couldnt which was a lie. I am still paying medical support for all 3 of our kids, but the kicker is I am also paying medical for our oldest son who lives with me and has since 2021. I am still paying him for a our son who he doesnt talk to or have contact with. This was the worst experience with an attorney I have had and the one we had before her wasnt great either. We paid out a lot of money for honestly nothing. I only got what I should have gotten before. She wouldnt stay on of anything at all. She let my ex and his attorney just drag there feet about everything. I WOULDNT recommend her as your attorney if you want real results. Be very cautious about who you retain, because I got burned twice and we paid out a whole lot more after we hired her for nothing to be done. This is ridiculous and honestly sad.

I cannot stress enough how incredible Brandon is as a lawyer. I was entangled in a very contentious custody battle for a decade. The other parent, who was high-functioning narcissistic, bipolar, and had multiple personalities, made the situation extremely challenging. I had Matt katona representing me for a child custody case. It was an emotional roller coaster , but he made sure that everything being done was exactly what I wanted, or had a strategic game plan in place for how we were going to get what I wanted. Being how emotional this case was , he also gave me time to sit and think on big decisions, which was absolutely necessary and appreciated, because in cases like these it is a lot of big decisions you don t always know immediately what you want . I recommend Matt for anyone, but I will say have a little bit of thick skin. He will be reasonable , but call you out when you are making yourself look bad . Example- when you are messaging back the other party ugly things - he will get onto you for it . *in your best interest * I ve toned down a lot due to him calling me out on whether I m going to look good if the judge seen my messages /acts, whether they re reactions or not . All in all, yes I do recommend and plan on working with Matt again in the near future.

I went with Brandon for my child custody situation. His services were a pretty penny however he understands how law works in court and with ignorant and difficult parties. I was told my case was not difficult and took roughly 4 months for mediation and a additional 2 months for it to be officially closed and filed downtown. He is well educated, well spoken and a direct response type of attorney who doesnt have time for people who prefer a soft approach and sugar coated conversations. Although my result was not what I desired, it was most optimal considering all variables and timeline that I applied. He is worth the extra money. He is a great attorney who earns his buck. His staff (Gloria) was amazing! Considerate, compassionate and always on top of things. She was definitely more than just a paralegal and complimented Brandons direct approach. WARNING DO NOT HIRE THESE PEOPLE THEY WILL PASS YOU ON TO INEXPERIENCED PEOPLE THAT DONT ONOW WHAT THEYRE DOING *DANA BURKET* When trying to gain custody of our son from a parent who s been incarcerated for 4 months put a retainer for 2,500 and these idiotic people could ve even remember the facts or the the names of the people they re supposed to defend and only ever received 2 calls in the span of 2-3 months only asking about the names and the situation that was discussed before the we hired them and the day before court is when we received an invoice for court cost and fees showing that the whole 2500 was spent and even charging 500 for 2 minute phone call asking about same things over and over again . When the case was over we received more calls demanding further payments to keep the lawyer on the retainer when we didn t return any calls they gave all of our information that we had chosen to keep private to the other party including phone numbers , emails , address. They can NOT be trusted to protect let alone defend any party I ve called the bar to report Dana burket and Brandon Wong which I ve learn have many many reports against them but ofcourse she retired before any disciplinary action can be taken against them

Im writing this review so nobody will make the mistake of hiring Megan R. Meyerson as their attorney. You are better off going to court alone than using her. She is the most unorganized, lazy, unmotivated, attorney I have ever dealt with. I have no idea how she passed the bar exam shes that bad. She doesnt care about her clients or about you winning your case. It almost feels like she works in conjunction with opossing council against YOU her client to lose. She has no passion for her job or clients and does not care what happens in your case. With Miss.Meyerson as my attorney my child was ripped from me after having primary custody for 13 years. Now my child is stuck in a terrible unsafe living situation fending for herself. Instead of staying in her loving home with competent adult supervision. I hired Brandon to move my case from Texas to Colorado after being told by a Colorado lawyer for 1.5 years that it would be impossible. The Colorado lawyer charged me $10K+ and got nothing done. In the very beginning I called around and nobody seemed to be interested, no one really wanted to take a new client and absolutely just kept getting the run around. I hired Dana Burket as my attorney. She was just calling and charging for those calls with same repeated questions which were already answered in the initial interview sheet and never did anything on my child custody modification case. They will just get the retainer from you first not even talk to you about what is there in contract and not let u have initial consultation to decide rather you want to hire there attorney or not. They Just got the retainer, trap the client, after 7 days of my retainer payment, back and forth texting, I got a chance to talk to her. Her advices were ridiculous. I will never recommend any one to hire her. If I had an option I would give her negative million as a review. She put me in jeopardy in my case. She charged me $3400 in few days, and what she did is to sit in the hearing for less than 10 mins and talk nothing. Be aware please Now I am fighting to get my hard earned money back from them. Never hire a attorney just from Google reviews, hire someone recommended from friends or family. Today again on 9/17 , I saw an activity of them that they deducted $4000 from my credit card without my permission. They are using my credit card information providing during signing contract and stealing money. I have complained about Dana to State Bar of Texas and now I have decided to take her to the court. Dana has given me so much of pressure that it has effecting my health. Please please please, dont hire her even if she is the last person on earth left to be hired.

Hiring Brandon saved my daughter and me. As a black dad, I entered the search for a lawyer with the expectation that I had no chance to win custody of my child. Even after the custody evaluation went the mothers way, Brandon and his team did a masterful job to the point that looking back now you could tell we were winning during pre-trial and preparation, we won during jury selection, we won during testimony. i contacted Mr. Wong pertaining to my divorce. I asked Mr. Wong to take my case. He thought my case was easy and gave me one of his attorneys beneath him/ associates at his firm. I paid the associate attorney a $2000 retainer. Mr. Wong s associate attorney did not listen/ remember details written/ and verbally informed to her. The associate attorney made the legal matter more complex by messing up on the decree (placing information in the decree not pertaining to my case)! Also, there were literally months (annotated on the billing statement) when i did not hear from the associate attorney. i had to constantly call to attempt to receive an update! So upset, I informed the associate attorney to simply take the matter to court. After 7 months, the associate attorney informed that a judge would not see me unless i went to mediation first. The associate attorney then asked for ~$1500 for mediation! So my rhetorical question, with an obvious answer, is why in the heavens didn t the associate attorney inform me immediately when taking my case that i would have to go to mediation first!? We could have gone to mediation within the first month or even 2!! But as i stated the obvious answer is that i was being milked for money. Clearly, and for obvious reasons, i am no longer their client! If anyone reaches out to me, i am more than happy to inform of the associate AND show the receipt provided to me of how the retainer was used. I can not speak of the service that would be provided by Mr. Wong himself, but if the associate (which kept informing me she consulted her colleagues ) is any reflection then you should definitely RUN AWAY!

Its been a long road. Ms. Dana Burket is my attorney and I am her first client when she arrived at the firm. We immediately hit the ground running as I had a very volatile situation with my childs mother. Both of us being active duty military, my ex tried to use the excuse of my deployments and other things to alienate my parental rights. Before hiring Ms. Dana I wasnt allowed to see my child for months as the mother was not cooperative. Shes has been proactive and responsive to my needs, as I mentioned Im military and i have a hectic schedule but ive been able to consult with my attorney day, night, and holidays while dealing with the opposing sides, not only going to bat for me ensuring that my story was Hurd by the presiding judge. Long story short I went from none, some, and now I have joint conservatoryship to build that relationship with my daughter. It been nearly three years but I cannot put a price on my relationship with my daughter. If theres any gripes, complainants, concerns its the state and federal laws we need to go after. I ve been living a nightmare since dealing with divorce and child custody. My case is intense. I went two years without seeing or having any contact with my children. I hired Dana to legally represent me. I m happy that she was able to do emergency custody orders. And was able to get my kids for summers and holidays for now. After a Google search and reading reviews of multiple law firms, I finally came across Brandon Wong s firm. I scheduled a consultation. After speaking to Mr. Wong, I felt confident my custody case would be handled in the most civil and positive means. Mrs. Dana Burket was assigned to my case. After initially speaking with her and filing out necessary paperwork, etc I had a greater understanding of how Texas Custody cases go, and what the potential outcomes could be. Mr. Wong deserves ZERO stars----Ms. Marvel deserves four or five. She had to take over my case after Mr. Wong completely screwed it up. I hired Mr. Wong back in 2019 for a simple divorce--he pawned me off on Megan Meyerson, who at that time was in her first year out of law school and a ROOKIE attorney. I did not know, what I did not know so to speak. For example, I did not know that even though I signed my exs vehicle over to him--because she did not specify in the divorce decree that he had to refinance it--and my name was on the vehicle--that I am still responsible for it if he chooses not to pay even though I have no ownership to it. She also did NOT file the Special Warranty deed in the County Clerks office showing that I was granted the house, which has opened up another can of worms. In addition, there were glaring errors in the divorce decree itself that Ms. Marvel herself fixed personally. DO NOT HIRE MR. WONG or MS. MEYERSON--they are completely incompetent.

I found Brandon after I had to dump my first lawyer. My divorce was really scary and I didn t have a clue what to expect. Brandon s strengths are many. 1) He set expectations for me at every turn. He was very clear about what was possible and what wasn t and helped me understand the weird nature of divorce. 2) He s incredibly creative and worked to get me into a situation that was best for me and my children. 3) Brandon is extremely equitable. He charges a decent amount, but I never once felt like I was getting gouged. He made it very clear where my money was going and he was never in a rush to take my money for frivolous things. 4) He s just a straight up badass. In every interaction with my ex s lawyer, it was painfully obvious that Brandon was extremely capable and adept at his work. 5) Brandon works with great people. Gloria knocked my socks off. She emailed me back consistently, called me back and kept meticulous records. It was Gloria who made sure my ex helped me with the children in the middle of the pandemic when no childcare was available and he was refusing to do more than bare minimum. I can t recommend Brandon enough. I only wish I would have found him first.

Due to the unusual and very delicate nature of of my case, I knew that the odds were stacked against me. Because of this, the odds were also stacked against my son. Laura took my case and went straight to work. Laura was able to achieve what was truly a miracle. My son will now be living with me, in our home he feels safe and is happy. My experience after hiring Karen Marvel was a long difficult journey going through a family custody case. There were a lot of meetings needed because my Ex was trying to take custody of our daughter, but Karen made sure I got my rights as a father and that all of the Texas family Codes stood behind that as well. Karen demonstrated the highest level of respect and understanding toward my case and was always very open and direct with me about the situations. I did my research on the best, knowledgeable, compassionate family/child support attorneys in bexar county & Brandon Wong was the first attorney reccomended on AVVO & several other sites. I am dealing with a very sensitive case that involves domestic violence, injury to my child from her father & called to have my initial consultation with Brandon Wong specifically because every review said he was very empathetic & compassionate in his cases (which I need very bad). He sounded very frustrated as soon as he answered the phone, & got more so with every question I asked him pertaining to my potential case with him. Only emphasizing his prices (not my concerns), & reiterating that i needed an attorney (obviously, hence why I was calling???). When trying to clarify a comment he made on one of my questions that I was having trouble understanding, he even said Im not going to fight with you, this is what it is. If Brandon Wong & his office was not able to help me, that is totally fine. But my consultation ended in tears, & thru my tears, I asked him to please be nice to me, there is no reason to speak so aggressive. & All he replied back with was, Well, have a good day. If you need us to start building your case, Megan handles that & starts off at $200 an hour. & then disconnected our call. Extremely disappointed. It took me 3 years to gather up the courage to reach out to an attorney regarding my case.. but Brandon Wong reminded me I have no hope & why even bother. Just a note: please, before considering this firm, look at the way they responded to my review. They only focused on one thing: that they couldnt help me with what I was inquiring about, which I said in my review was fine. My son-in-law referred us to Michael DeLaGarza at Marvel & Wong. He and his ex negotiated releasing geographic restriction. My son-in-law had no representation, but Michael negotiated a fair deal for all. So we gave him a try for my boyfriend whos ex took off out of town and left 1 of the 3 children behind with neighbors. He ended up negotiating getting custody of 1 child, lowering child support payments, catching up on arrears and enforcing geo restriction between bexar and nueces county. Going through Any legal matter is difficult. I found Michael to be an amazing guide throughout the process, and a person who was in the know of how to make this process meet my needs (and budget). Any meeting or communication was pleasant, not filled with jargon, and straightforward. Not that I would want to undergo the circumstances again, but I would look to Michael for any counseling or legal matters! We initiated filings late June and were finalized early October.
