The park was well maintained, plenty of life guards, family oriented with a covered picnic area, the water was very clean, clean enough to see to the floor of the pool. Toilets: Restrooms where easy to find you walk right thru to get to the pool from the entrance when you sign in. Picnic area: There is one covered picnic area with two picnic tables

Do not depend on google for operating hours. We visited looking forward to going to the pool just to find out that hours changed after the summer season. The only reason Im even giving it.The one star is because looking through the gate.It seemed very clean and like it would have been a lot of fun.

Plenty of parking including disability parking. 4 stars because Im a sucker for history. Without going into detail its rich in history. Just do some research you wont be disappointed. It has a natural spring in the park just for show. Its believed to do some healing so ofc I ran my fingers through the water. Plus there is a huge seasonal pool as far as I know free. There is also a tiny but very fulfilling library at the park as well. Now downside and there always is a downside. The playground doesnt have much shade. And it can be dirty sometimes. Not too bad though that didnt bother me. The park could be given more tlc. I believe its just overlooked.

Ive lived in SA for almost 17 years but only visited this park for the first time last week. Its spacious with different areas allocated to a particular hobby/sport. Theres also a large pool to cool off in afterward. The history of the park is pretty interesting as well. Toilets: There are showers and restrooms located at the entrance to the pool.

I loved this pool, very clean and gated off with 4 life guards for each section of the large pool of spring water, no chlorine smell. They also gave kids 18 and under a free lunch. We had to write down our name and age for entry . Which is through the restrooms, restroom and showers available Toilets: Restrooms and showers available. They are kind of dark but clean. Picnic area: Picnic areas are outside of the gates

Although it was a nice springs to visit, it was not baby friendly and the staff was extremely rude and non-accomodating. Having our grandson of 13mos with us we were told theres a section by the waterfall where its 0-2ft 1. A baby can drown in 2in of water 2. Being elderly and having to restrain our 13mos old on the hard concrete was very painful and stressful. When we brought a baby floating device to use with him and enjoy the entire pool and cool off, it was really uncomfortable and physically exhausting.

And being a free entry its refreshing and affordable. But thats not all. If swimming isnt your thing there are huge green spaces, walking trails and even a skate park. All near downtown

Absolutely beautiful as we are here in S.A. Texas. The beauty of the creator is incomparable. There was a Christian yesterday who was as good as dead and the lifeguards saved him. This is a gold mine they have swimsuit for the public. I dont know how to act. Thank you S.A. and Francisca in the front it was a pleasure meeting yall. Our Spanish accent is a bit different but our Tex-Mex roots show. We speak Spanglish Thank God

For fun and relaxing by a pool in the shade this is the place to be. The trees and open spaces to BBQ, picnic and just relaxing around the park for free. You can walk, skateboard, bicycle and scooter, visit the library, tennis courts, SP Little Theater, pavilion and gazebo on the 46 acres lot across from SA College on San Pedro Ave . Playground: Lots of open spaces to play and concrete paved play area for skateboards ect. Toilets: Stone restroom building by pool open most of the time. Dog-friendliness: People with friendly dogs are welcome. Picnic area: Tables and grills available under trees with some shade.

The park is so beautiful. It has lots of trees. The tennis courts are very well equipped and clean. The swimming pool is huge and super clean. So beautiful. I do have a pet peeve. The life gaurds did an amazing job of keeping the community safe, but why was it acceptable for people to wear very revealing clothes such as a thong and underwear for bathing suits? This is a public place for families. You would think that it should be respected as such. Just a thought.

The bathrooms were dirty and I didnt like that EVERYONE was funneled thru the girls bathroom to enter and exit. e were allowed to bring in coolers, but were told we couldnt eat food inside the gate area except for fruit and veggies, but then we saw several people eating whatever they wanted. They also make u get out of the pool for 15-minute stints, couldnt even just dangle ur feet in the water. Some of the lifeguards and staff were really attentive and there were a couple who u could tell were tired of the people. Its a great area to visit, its FREE and it felt really safe.

Went for the pool. Pool is nice but once it s crowded it s not so nice. The water becomes cloudy and dirty. People left trash all around when they were literally just feet from trash cans. The bathrooms are horrendous to say the least. To see people walking around in them without shoes was absolutely disgusting. They literally stink like human feces. Park is also Very nice but parking is not the most convenient. This park and pool are worth visiting at least once because it part of this towns history. Oh and all the staff was very nice. You can bring water and Gatorade and fruit, pop up chairs and even small umbrellas for shade. Toilets: Nasty!!

Atmosphere is calming and if you feel like jogging to blow off steam you have plenty of path to do so. A lot of roaming space to find a personal spot to meditate or just disconnect from the world for awhile.

The only problem is that the grounds could be kept up better. For one, they need to keep the grass cut, it would also be nice if they filled in some of the holes. And some of the water fountains dont work, plus theres not enough trash cans and theres trash here and there on the ground Playground: yes Picnic area: There are tables and a grill or two
