I come to three star bar for the FIVE STAR staff, drinks, but most importantly THE FIVE STAR WINGS!!!! Fried hard has the best wings I have EVER TASTED. Chris really gives these wings his all and it shows because i think about these wings practically every.single.day. Very great atmosphere! Inside and outside seating! Great music! THE BEST WINGS IN SAN ANTONIO!!!

The place has solid music playing, a pool table, and substantial space out back. The wings were top 5 I ve ever heard and just like any American, I ve had wings from everywhere. Personally gonna bring my dad back cuz I know he loves it too

We come to Three Star Bar quite a bit! We really enjoy the laid back atmosphere. My cocktails are always good. Never had any issues with bathrooms or staff. Nice outdoor seating which is nice because sometimes we bring our dog. We also LOVE the wings by Fried Hard. We don t eat wings from anywhere else anymore!! Fried Hard has great wing flavors and we love the spicy ones especially!! The future Wing King is really chill and nice. We will continue to support both of these businesses!! Wishing them both lots of success!!

Three Star Bar is such a great place to hang and grab a drink with your pals. And I am so glad they have Fried Hard in the kitchen. I used to be at every Fried Hard pop up and I am so happy they have gotten a spot to serve at. Three Star and Fried hard are a perfect march. Fried hard truly is the best wings in San Antonio. Any one who says otherwise doesn t know wings and does not know that perfection takes time. Nobody sauces and fries wings up like Fried Hard. If you re lucky enough you have to try the jerk wings and jerk fries. They don t just fry hard THEY GO HARD!!

Zero stars if it were possible. Service was atrocious. snobby attitudes from the bar staff. I ordered wings from the kitchen. Guy back there had his feet kicked up chillen gave me attitude when I asked if i could have the wings to go. He said and I quote Im trying to be the wing king you feel me Wings took over 20mins to cook and were dry and over cooked. The best part is he gave me a Togo box after I had asked to make it Togo. Apparently that was asking too much. I will not be going back.

***REVIEW UPDATE*** Totally heartbroken. This used to be my favorite dive bars simply because of the laid back atmosphere and the big buck hunter in the corner. Said big buck hunter has been replaced by a photo machine. I feel betrayed. Shame on you, three star bar, shame on you! One of the best bars in the city. Great staff. Cheap beer. Sit outside and chill. Anyone going to San Antonio needs to stop here. My brother and I had so much fun we stopped here three times when we were in San Antonio. They literally treat you like family here. It was awesome.

If you own this place, seriously think about taking out a large amount of Insurnace, inviting some pyromaniacs to an overnight party, lay lots of booze and gasoline around, and leave. If you re lucky, you can start again, as I fear that this spot is beyond saving.

THIA REVIEW IS FOR FRIED HARD Horrible costumer service. Tonight i wanted to try this place out i ve been coming to 3 for a while and loved Quest Kitchen but this is the replacement so i was excited to try something new. I was headed over from a concert and it was already almost 1am (when their kitchen closes) i went onto their instagram and placed a order through the website that way they could get the order started and not have me order 5 minutes before close. As soon as i placed the order i received a text to go pick up a buzzer. I informed who ever messaged me that i was on the way to the bar but was not there yet and that i would be there soon. The response i got was extremely disrespectful and passive aggressive especially for someone who s just starting out. I don t see this place lasting long especially with this type of response to their clientele. The wings were okay which is why i gave 2 stars, the flavors were good (but limited, not even lemon pepper available) and the wings were small, could fit in the palm of your hand. I definitely would love to give this place another shot but i just can t support small businesses that have this attitude.

Three star bar lives up to its name, since no one should ever give it over three stars. Over priced to start and then they add a Happy Fiesta charge of 20% before tax! Then the recommended tips were 30%, 40% or 50%!!! Im sorry but that is ridiculous. To top it off our drinks were mediocre at best. A Moscow Mule or Tequila Sunrise are pretty standard drinks.

Bar looks awesome has a great vibe until you get inside. The bartenders have horrible attitudes! 3 Star bar with 1 Star service. I live 3 blocks up from there. Tried to give them another chance last night and it doesn t fail. Air conditioning always going out bartenders with Snooty unhelpful attitudes who think they are better than their patrons. This has been my experience every time, it s all good though now I know and thought I d share

One of the most expensive well liquors in town. I had heard from many industry friends that this was a chill, affordable place to grab a drink. When I visited tonight and ordered a single well whiskey and coke I was charged $10. I confirmed with the bartender that the price was correct for a single well drink before paying. That makes this bar more expensive than nearly every bar within five miles - despite the dive-bar ambiance. I cant say Ill ever be back.

I adore this bar! Feels like you are in your dad s bar in the 80 s. It s so cute and comfortable plus they serve fabulous drinks and delicious food. I came in early on a Thursday and the music was great, the bartender was fab, and it wasn t crowded at all! We stayed inside at the bar but the patio looked perfect and there were lots of lit l spots to hide away inside too.

This is a fun casual bar with good drinks and nice staff. I tried a pickle gin and tonic which tastes like, well, a G&T with pickle juice. After that I stuck to the beer; they have a solid half-dozen on tap and a good selection in bottles. They have indoor and outdoor seating with some outdoor games like bags and a punching bag. The bathrooms were in good shape. No non-gendered bathrooms, though.

bartender were great, and thats all this place has going for it. beer is all cans, they have draft( 3 selection) with a small 10oz looking mug, 16oz glass, then a pitcher. The cans and are cool at best, and draft is definitely a lot colder. Over all the service this place offers is definitely not worth the tab.

Had a work happy hour here and it was cool. Steve was behind the bar that night and was great about his service and conversation. We work for a beer company that the bar serves and we mentioned coming by for some more after work happy hour drinks. I agree with another review that an outdoor tv or two would be nice as well as a few different options on the app menu. But overall I enjoyed it!

Let me start off with a disclaimer that I am not usually a burger guy. However, the All American Burger was a life changing experience. This is the best burger in San Antonio, possibly anywhere. I cant possibly imagine what could make it better. Fresh bun, not too much bread, deli pickles, and a patty that was juicy, but not greasy, perfectly cooked. First visit, but Ill be back!

As much as I wanted to put 3 stars just for the name I could not. Great little bar with a good atmosphere. Played some good 90-00 S punk rock , ska, alternative music if that s your jam. Hot dog was great with a side of chips and dip , great beer selection , and good little cocktail menu. Pricing is about average depending on the type of bars you go to. Dont bother with this place. Came by for trivia and not only were the drinks grossly overpriced, but the service was dreadful and the bathroom was atrocious. Waited almost 20 minutes for a drink when it wasnt busy. Neither womans stall locked, one had no toilet paper or even a dispenser, and the other was broken. We ended up at a much nicer bar a block or so away, with cheaper beer. Will never be back

Great local bar! The food is unique and delicious. The pretzels and cheese are some of the best. The meatball sub had Italian meatloaf slices.. very cool! The place has a slight Still Golden meets the 70s & 80s vibe to it :) My only feedback would be to add TVs in the back and expand the appetizer menu. First time here, weve been eating at many places around the Pearl area. Surprised by how delicious this is! They claim to be 3 stars but really, the taste is fabulous. Had a meatball sandwich and hubby had a ham sandwich plus meatball appetizer... Truly tasty. Beer was yummy... High end Betty or something like that...
