I ordered egg roll. It was mush meat and no vegetables inside I ordered hide and sour soup. It was all carrots. Look like curdles of milk in it ordered the wonton chicken and it was one wonton and look like something weird was coming out of those this place has the girl behind the counter eating and drinking

My wife and I went to this place to have a good time but everything went wrong the last meal and they had to clean the place of everything we got sick to our stomach even though we ate almost nothing because the food disgusted us

This used to be good. Now it s tasteless food. Worse than hospital meals. Zero meat on combos, mainly vegetables. Not even my cat likes it. Plus it s expensive. (OWNER please pay attention or you will end up closing due to stealing from customers, we want meat on our food not just veggies)

I ordered the hot szechuan, i honestly only came here because i got a flyer and the food looked good. Honestly there wasnt much chicken in my food mostly just vegetables. The eggs rolls were okay, the rice wasnt so bad. They do give you alot for the portions of the plate. I probably wouldnt come back sadly but service was really nice!

Don t get me wrong, the food is good. But they have a serious listening problem. I asked for two plates of shrimp fried rice and sesame chicken. They gave me a big plate of fried rice and a plate with sesame chicken and fried rice.. They told me I could come back to get the plate and when I went t back they said the managers gone so they can t give it to me.

I came in today to get food the guy at the register swiped my card multiple times causing my bank marking the transaction as fraud when I took my card from him he said I know what I m doing and started insulting me that the worker from the back had to come out and get him because of how disrespectful he was treating me ! I come here all the time but if these are the type of employees y all hire that can t offer good customer service I won t be coming anymore. I was charged twice for my food now I will have to file a dispute with my bank for the other transaction by far the worst experience.

Our first try of this place and I couldnt be happier. We really over-spent on our first visit so we could sample a bit of everything. We had leftovers that lasted three more meals. Re-heats really well, especially in a wok. Chris Rice is exactly as advertised, fantastic. Lo-Mein, orange chicken, Kung pao chicken, beef with broccoli, egg rolls, wantons, fried dumplings... all very good. The staff is very nice. Since it was our first time we had a few questions and they were both personable and accommodating. Its a takeout place so dont expect much for atmosphere, however they do have an outdoor patio. Perfect for those twelve Texas days between hellish heat and deep freeze. The prices are very fair and the portions are generous. Chris Rice is a meal in itself.

We came to have dinner today and I ordered the R2-Dragon & Phoenix, well my sesame chicken was bad. I told the lady that works here that it tasted spoiled and she said that it all came from the same place. I didnt ask her that and I explained to her that my sesame chicken tasted rotten and she said next time dont order it. I WILL NEVER EAT AT THIS PLACE AGAIN! BAD FOOD! BAD SERVICE! VERY HOT INSIDE!!!

I love the cheap prices and they usually give you a good amount of food. I didnt get that much chicken & broccoli though when I ordered yesterday. But for the price I do believe I got what I paid for. Everything was STEAMING HOT even when we got home it was STILL STEAMING !! The young man at the counter was very nice and professional when I called to check the prices. He was just as nice when we entered the establishment as well. Thanks for the great service and it wasnt a long wait for fresh food either!!

The food had a dirty mop flavor which means its been frozen for a VERY long time that the food has gone bad approximately 3 months or the fridge isnt working .We ordered the shrimp fried rice and and shrimp loemein . This is coming from someone who finishes his fried rice plates. I took 2 bites and my Grandpa and mother said the same thing disgusting sorry. Owner I recommend you tell a customer to order food and then taste it at home . So you can see what the cook in the back is serving. If he sees you obviously the cook is going to make sure your food is fresh. This was on 10/27/2022

Family ordered. I ordered sweet and sour pork. Son picked up order. Got mine...no sweet and sour sauce. Pork was hard and dry. Tried to soften with soy sauce. Nope...didnt work. Even went so far as using pancake syrup. It was as if the pork had been sitting out and was stuck in the microwave to heat. Next time Ill make chicken nuggets when family orders again.

Ive been ordering food from Rice Bowl for many yrs. I had a few small issue thur the years. But never issues like, pieces of bones and gristle in the Orange chicken,.Broccoli stringy & Shrimp over cooked and rubbery. Crispy noodles was very stale. I wasted my $32 & time. Best Chinese Food Yet! Since we moved here 3 years ago, I have been in search of a really good Chinese Food restaurant. I was beginning to think that Garland just has no foodies and the restaurant selection reflects it. One of the first places I tried was just down the street from us at Wynn Joyce and Broadway called Rice Bowl Express. Not only was it bad, but it was maybe the worst I have ever tried. So for the last 3 years, I have shunned this place like the plague. When we had that bad freeze and no one could cook, the few restaurants that stayed open had lines down the street. As we passed the cars in line for that place, I thought poor neighbors - they would be better off with a cold can of pork and beans. Seriously, it was that bad. Then, one day, I thought I saw a sign that said new owners or maybe I just imagined it? So yesterday I decided to throw caution to the wind and try it again and the menu did look different although the ordering speaker still did not work - you had to go up to the window to order. I ordered the spicy Szechuan - beef and chicken (sometimes the pork is dry and the shrimp is soggy at even the best restaurants) with white rice and some hot and sour soup. The soup was average and so was the rice. But the meal? OMG, I think it was the best Chinese food I have ever eaten! The vegetables were freshly cooked hot and crispy on the outside yet tender on the inside. Even the celery was delicious! Meat was not real plentiful, but the sauce was so flavorful that I could have poured it over rice crispies and it would have been delicious!! I cannot wait to go back and if you have had a bad experience with this place in the past, I urge you to give it another try. Over the next couple of months, I will be there multiple times a week trying all of their dishes and I will keep you posted. BTW, when they say spicy, they are not kidding.

The chicken here doesnt taste like your usual Chinese restaurant kind, meaning it tastes a little funny... But you dont have much a choice when the Orange or General Tso chicken was part of a fair combo costing $7 plus tax. I always get the bell pepper steak and rice so I went and got the same as always now I have never had a problem but this day I did and it went left fast. I went home open my food up 1st they didnt give me but like 6 peices of meat with all the bell peppers so then I looked and the meat was grey and when I put it in my mouth it was disgusting so I took it back and the COOK GOT MAD CAUSE ALL I WANTED WAS MY MONEY BACK AND TOLD ME I COULD NEVER EAT THERE AGAIN I TOLD HIM FINE AND I WAS PUTTING THIS ON GOOGLE.

This place was horrible the food was not edible. We told the gentleman our order was wrong he said it was correct. Then proceeded to tell us they were closed. I would have rather for him to tell me they were closed from the beginning than to take my money. We had to trash everything including the burnt crab racoon with nothing inside. This place use to be borderline terrible. I dont know what changed but now most of all the people are very nice and seem to want to serve you well. The prices are great and the food is pretty good. It is not real fresh tasting but its not bad. The amount of meat {especially shrimp) and how it is cooked seems to change a little. Again the people serving you are great.

Usually love this place. I always get shrimp fried rice & ask them to make it spicy by adding hot sauce into the rice. But today, instead of receiving rice with some hot sauce, I receive hot sauce with some rice. The rice was barely enjoyable. I couldnt even taste the rice. Only hot sauce. Dont know if its a new cook or something, but its better to receive extra hot sauce on the side in case its not enough instead of not being able to remove hot sauce.

I tried this place for the first time due to a flyer I got on my door. Prices looked good, so why not. Well, that was a mistake. Ordered the Happy Family with fried rice. The rice was very dry and disappointing. The entrée had one piece of crab, very little pork in it, and was very soupy. Whats stopping me from giving this 1 star, is the prices and the person I interacted with was very friendly.

I placed a order here and it was all wrong and then I called to let Manager know and he told me to bring food back... Thats very unsanitary and nasty but I told him that I had an car accident on my way home and he didnt have no sympathy just worried about me bringing food back.
