Pigpen has little parking. Went there they have a great outdoor porch area, would of been better if they had bigger parking. Parking: About 12 spots. Customers shouldnt have to park in the street, might get towed.

Avoid the Pig Pen Bbq in Dripping Springs....the turkey was very dry and the beef was served in Kiddie portions! Further, the amount money paid was ridiculous compared to how little food was provided. Food quality was poor as well....could have gone to Bill Millers BBQ and would have come out ahead

Sat at the bar for over 10 minutes before my husband and I were acknowledged. Meanwhile, one of the staff members stood behind the bar talking to people sitting at the bar. Another staff member walked past us a few times before actually even saying anything to us. A simple Hello. We will be right with you would have been nice. Luckily, the beers were cold for the hot summer afternoon.

My favorite bar! Good music, friendly bartenders, and amazing drinks. I LOVE their frozen Moscow mule, and they just introduced a frozen Tokyo Tea which is so yummy and packs a punch! The food is also amazing - do yourself a favor and get the hot chicken slider, you will not regret it! I also love the brisket taco and grilled chicken wrap! The Sunday brunch is out of this world and a total must-try!

Yall let me put yall on something here. Atmosphere is so chill and even though its hot outside, they have fans that are blowing literally on every table. They do have an indoor seating, but I always prefer being outside. The food was omg, chefs kiss. Sure its quick and easy finger foods but the flavor just was out of this world. I asked to speak to the chef and was greeted by a gentleman by the name of Anthony. He was the cook during that shift and was very humble. His passion for food was admirable. The bartender, I cant remember his name but he was super attentive as well as the other bartenders. 5 out of 5 would totally recommend.

If you re ever looking to spice up a typical bar night, this is the place to go! It s a laid back vibe with bench seating inside, so great for groups! We come here probably 3 times a week. Tonight we had a half of my sons brisket grilled cheese and half of my grilled chicken wrap, half of our nachos, almost all of my fried okra my husband went to the bar to pay our bill and while I was watching our kids on the playground someone came and threw all of our stuff away. Super disappointed because our kids were specifically saving it for their lunch. My husband told them they were just like oh, sorry. Not oh, sorry to us. There s lots of places in San Antonio, we ll go somewhere else from now on. Also, okra was cold and needed to be remade, that s why it was all going to brought home, because I just got it.

Jen, the manager is cool, but doesn t know how to manage her employees. Great place, great food. Don t recommend anyone coming here unless you re prepared to be charged up by bartenders and management does nothing but be embarrassed. The bartenders own the manager. Sad establishment. The Pigpen Neighborhood Bar by Smoke Shack is a local favorite for its affordable food, cheap liquor, and great vibes. The parking can be tricky, but its worth the trek, especially on a beautiful Saturday afternoon. We ordered a variety of dishes, and the pretzels were the standout item. They were perfectly crispy and served with a sweet and spicy jam that was a revelation. The spinach wrap with chicken was less impressive, as it was mostly guacamole. The wings were good, with a hint of buffalo sauce, and the okra was crispy and flavorful. The nachos are always a hit, and the chicken and sliders were decent. Our only complaint is that the food could use a bit more heat and smoke. However, its hard to complain at the prices. We also tried the jalapeño poppers, shrimp taco, tea lemonade slushy with Deep Eddy vodka, and the pretzels. The Pigpen also has a small playground and a great indoor and outdoor setup, making it a great place to go with kids or friends. Its in a great area, and the vibe is perfect for a warm Saturday afternoon in San Antonio.

I learned of their Sunday Brunch by eating at their food truck on 410/Nacogdoches (11-3/M-F). Both are amazing! The food truck is no longer serving. The brunch has some main breakfast foods, with a selection of BBQ, fish, and cobblers. Live music is played by visiting bands, seating is lunchroom style, a long with outdoor seating and a play area for children. The location also has a full bar and overall it is an enjoyable setting well worthy of trying at least once. Update! Since last review this place opened again and THE NACHOS ARE STILL THE BEST EVER. Now in 2 brisket-y sizes (small and large). To share or not to share!? They had some awesome seasonal drinks back in April/May but tried and true their Moscow mules and whiskey sours are soooo good. 10/10 please never close again. Vegetarian options: A few appetizer options that arent meat based. Parking: Depends on when you go. The lot right in front is pretty small so obviously on weekend nights youll be parking in the street or at worst a few blocks over. During the weekday there seems to be plenty of lot spaces. Definitely a neighborhood bar. I took us a minute to figure out where to sit because the people outside werent very friendly or engaging. More like staring us down to make sure that we went back inside so they wouldnt have to do anything. I had to flag down to bartender to get anybodys attention. Couldnt tell who worked here and who didnt. The only reason we came here was to grab dinner. But Yelp Google and their website doesnt communicate that their kitchen closes around 9:00 p.m. even though theyre open till 11:00 during weekdays and midnight on weekends.

Lou s 106 off Broadway occupied this spot for decades. Gay bar too close to Alamo Heights for the rich folks. When you use the men s room, know that it was formerly the women s, and that it was already pipe fitted for a men s urinal.

I was there with my husband to have a drink. Its a cozy local bar with delicious food and live music. You get the Texas vibe. Their sitting arrangement is little different. They had wooden benches, and i liked that. They also had outdoors, but it was a cold night, so we sat inside and enjoyed their live music. I had spicy margaritas..which is my all-time favorite. And they didnt disappoint me. The people were friendly. I enjoyed the live music while eating the nachos and grilled cheese sandwich. The quantity was enough for two of us. The nachos were crispy and fresh with little avocado on top. Loved their food. The price was also reasonable. To get the Texan vibe, one must visit this bar. Will definitely visit them again.

Finally reopened to get the best brisket nacho s hands down. Brisket always tender right amount of smoke gos very well with the cheese and pico just a flavor bomb going off in you mouth it s delicious. But not to mention the smoked wings then fried OMG. With a dip of ranch you get smoky ranch crunch from crispy edges I definitely recommend n definitely another one of my favorites wings like no other let me tell ya!!!

Great vibe, the bartenders were on point but don t come hungry or if you do bring a snack bc the wait for mediocre food is excessive. Ordered a grilled cheese and two tacos. After waiting 35 minutes I asked the waitress to check on our order. She said she would but it took her a while to get back and say it ll be up shortly. 10 minutes later after I had seen two tables that came in after we did get served we asked again. She said no they weren t here after you they probably just ordered and didn t sit down ?!! ( not likely) and it just takes a while. She told me at 2:08 that their ticket time was 1:31 so roughly 37 minutes was apparently completely normal and acceptable. we asked that she check on ours once again because I was fairly certain those two tables had come in after us. Our food finally came. The tacos were cold we asked about our ticket time. We were in fact there before the other table. Our total weight on food was 51 minutes. And the waitress obviously did not GAF. Her attitude was that was normal. So probably more of a drinking spot unless of an eating spot.

This place closed during the COVID-19 shutdown and has not opened back up. I m SO sad and hope they reopen in the near future. I used to go here with my fiancé and dogs frequently. The atmosphere was great comfortable outdoor seating that was shaded, kid play house and excellent service.

Theyre no longer open. Google says theyre open, their website says theyre open, and their answering machine refers you to their website for their hours, but they are in fact closed. I called the Smoke Shack to ask if they were open, and the girl who answered told me theyd been closed since July in a tone of voice that said that I should have known that they were closed since July. Maybe try updating your website.

Cool bar. Has a decent brunch buffet on Sunday, but $17? That s ridiculously too expensive for how little of food is there, and by 11am (it opens at 10am), the food was already mostly cold. I d go there for music and beer again, maybe.

Drinks were good. Brisket was good. Cheese on the nachos was terrible, almost curdled like. Taco would have been terrible because the tortilla was fried and drowning in grease, but we had the waitress bring new tortillas that weren t fried and it saved the tacos. Might not avoid the place in the future but definitely won t be suggesting it.

Pigpen definitely surpassed my expectations! Great selection of canned, bottled and draft beer. The food is great too! The brisket birria tacos were the bee s knees, while the few bites of the brisket grilled cheese I tasted were tasty as heck. Good fries too.

Need a waitress who knows what is available 3 separate trips to just bring one beer.... This maybe just a a brunch place.... You actually have to dispense a drink to be called a Bar.... But do come for Brunch on Sunday... you get the food yourself... No need for a dingtress....
