Downtown Denton on the square is awesome. Several different restaurants and shops that are unique. The history of the courthouse square is very interesting.

We visited the square on a Sunday and found several shops and restaurants open for business. Parking was scarce but not impossible. The courthouse property is well maintained and appears to be a nice place to relax. I cant give more stars for our visit because there were 5 or 6 disheveled people on the courthouse property sleeping in sleeping bags, sheltering in the courthouse doorways, or wandering about the grassy area. One man was talking loudly to himself and approached us somewhat aggressively. There was no security or police presence that we noticed on the square. We decided to leave as a result.
