Spent a lovely Saturday night in Downtown San Antonio. This place was on the top floor. There were plenty of peeps their, but the atmosphere was still pleasant. My girlfriend and I shared drinks and food. We also got to see nice nighttime views of Downtown San Antonio.

This is mostly a bar with a great atmosphere, beautiful views but the food is mediocre. The sautéed mushrooms had cinnamon in them & tasted very weird, & the roasted eggplant was disgusting, & I love eggplant! no seasoning just a limp mushy vegetable, the texture was bad. The drinks were good but that was it. I wish we hadn t ordered food.

Lackluster for the price. Instead of a friendly greeting, the host greeted us with we close at 9pm - it was 8pm and we were aware and planning to be quick. Put in our drink and food order immediately at the same time. Timing was so off. We got our food and still hadn t received our drinks, ate with our waters. Paid $25 for the wagyu burger and it was under seasoned, to the point that the disappointment outweighed our hunger - ate about half and called it quits. The seared sea bass had an ungodly amount of bones, especially for the $35 price tag. The chicken was crispy, but unsurprisingly under seasoned as well. Then alas, the drinks came after we finished our meal. The only server on shift was visibly distressed. The manager didn t seem to care as she walked around with her Louis Vuitton and texting on her cell as if she was counting down the minutes to leave as her poor hourly employees struggled to end their shifts. Overall, disappointing for the $200+ total. This was extremely upsetting, imagine if we came for a special event ?? I d recommend skipping this spot, there are better places with better management. You d get better service at Chili s lol.

I recommend making a reservation to make it easier to get a table. The balcony it really nice. When you walk up to the hostess stand the door to your right has open seating-they dont tell you that unless you specifically ask. The main bar is nice, and the bartender was amazing! He answered off of my questions, gave great recommendations and explained that he could adjust the sweetness for my taste! I loved my drink! His bartending skills and his hospitality were excellent-the rest of the staff could really take some lessons from him! Saturday night they had a dj that was playing good music, but it really wasnt as busy as I had expected. Their pop up paleta bar was lame. At 1120 I went to get a drink and the bartender told me they were done serving. I asked him what time they stop serving and he replied now. Theres some service education that needs to be worked on since the bar is still a representation of the Thompson. There was also a alot of cockroaches running around on the balcony with open seating. So the view is so nice, but I was pretty freaked out about the roaches.

I came and sat at the bar, did some work, had some champagne, and also had some of the eggplant. Definitely recommend for a cute sunset. Multiple views of San Antonio s skyline. The eggplant was good, but a rather large portion for a side. Definitely recommended as a shared option. Service was exceptional. Valet was a great option as well. Would be back in an instant.

Wagyu Burger and Akuishi New York Strip were simply incredible. We also had a couple of the cocktails that were yummy. Its too bad that you cant just show up and sit where you want, but the views are fabulous. I will return to this place! Thank you to those who helped reserve my table, my server, cooks, and bartenders. I will take photos next time. :) Parking: I stayed at the hotel, so valets took care of my parking for me. Wife and I went to celebrate our wedding anniversary based on the reviews we read. First off, for the amount they charge you would think the customer service would be exceptional. I had to keep on asking for a refill on my drink. The dishwasher was seen multiple times standing in front of the entrance just hanging out having a drink ( non alcoholic)... While wife and I were trying to have a intimate moment/conversation the staff kept coming towards our location to have personal talks and discuss plans after work. Not what I expect for a restaurant of High Quality The outside patio was nice but did not know if seats were taken or not based on the amount of drinking glasses left out. Some you can tell had been sitting out for quite some time. Overall the views are great, food was ok but service was disappointing. Drinks were also disappointing, wife had a drink and looked as if made with no effort. no presentation. She said it was good but i would of expected a better visual presentation for the price. As far as beer..... Bud light, Modelo and white claw. That is it. Nothing on draft, I didnt know if I was at my broke cousins house or on the 20th floor of a high rise roof top bar paying premium for a Budlight. My experience with customer service was no different then that of an IHOP. like I said before, With prices like that, I expected at least a bottomless drink ( I had just water due to the poor selection of Beer) Staff being more professional and a cleaner atmosphere. Would I go again? probably not.

This was a hidden treasure at the very top of the Thompson Hotel on the Riverwalk in San Antonio. The views were splendid at night. Call ahead to reserve tables! It gets busy after nightfall on the weekend. The bartender was a very cool guy that knew how to treat the customers and was well versed in the alcoholic art. Thanks! We will be back on our next visit Parking: We had our vehicle parked under the Thompson for a few days. It was safe and worry free which allowed us to simply walk the ten minutes from the Indigo to the hot spots on the Riverwalk. The valet service was great and 24 hour. Cost was a little over $50 a day for peace of mind.

I came here for the first time ever last weekend for a friends bday. The view was beautiful and the inside was okay. I bought 1 drink on my card n that came out to $17 & no tip. Before this drink my friend and I had been using her card with money I sent prior so that we could make it easier n just use 1 card. Not to mention we had been tipping generously on the 2 transactions when we used her card (both our money) Tell me WHYYY Sunday evening rolls around and I get a notification saying some your transaction has been updated from $17 to $69. Meaning the bartender or whoever was closing out added a tip probably cause they assumed I didn t tip even tho I did on a different card. I spoke w 2 different managers and they were so nonchalant and unapologetic about the situation. They said they couldn t give names of who did that and they don t know how it happened, the bartender will get a coaching a coaching??? That s wild. Anyway, I still haven t received my refund & I hate that it was a negative experience cause I had been ranting about wanting to go there but never again. Just be aware that they might also do that to whoever else.

The serving staff was completely rude & not caring about what was supposed to be a special mother s day brunch. I booked a reservation for 12:15, granted we arrived late due to not knowing the parking situation, there was bo balcony space. I asked the server to wait for a balcony table & he said with attitude thats your choice but at this point its a waiting game. I said okay that s fine & after about 10-15 minutes a table left. My mom & I got excited thinking yay! We will be seated within 5-10 minutes once he clears the table! This did NOT happen. Our waiter proceeded to ignore us, staring waiting to see if he was going to clear the table. He did not & actually went out of his way to clear tables that had people seated still but were done eating & just talking. We found this a bit odd considering he said as soon as a table outside opens he will clear it. No exaggeration 25 more minutes pass & now at this point 2 other tables left so theres the 1 table we had been waiting to be cleared PLUS 2 others outside empty & not being cleared now. The waiter we had STILL did not clear the table after 45 minutes of waiting for a table to be cleared off for us at this point so my mom gets fed up & starts to walk over to clear the table herself as if shes an employee. She got fed up because our waiter was having a conversation with another employee instead of putting paying customers as priority to quickly clear a table & seat us. At this point we started to clear a table OURSELVES, but felt highly offended by the service & decided to leave without even getting drinks or eating. The food on others tables looks delicious so we were sad to miss out on it, but the service & care given to us was TERRIBLE. I just wanted to treat my mom to something special & instead was treated like we are nothing & they don t care about people who visit there. I would NEVER return based off this disgusting experience & recommend others not to as well. I also paid $15 in parking that went down the drain due to us not wanting to stay because we were COMPLETELY ignored. I am not sure why staff felt above serving the people they are hired to serve or what the attitude was for but I am disgusted & disappointed by how we were treated. We dined here for Mother s Day and had an excellent experience with Nate. We were told by the hostess that all outside seating was full and just recently seated so we would have to sit inside. Upon noticing that multiple tables were finished eating and some had already paid, we asked our server, Nate, if we could move to one of those tables when they left. Instead, he opened a better patio area and moved us to a table there. He was extremely friendly and went far above the standard level of expected service to ensure our whole family had a great time. Wondered to this awesome rooftop on the top floor the of the Thompson Hotel! We were immediately seated with great energy! We sat next to the windows to overlook the city view! Highly recommend! We got there around 9 PM when it appeared to be dying down, however got busy when we left at 11! We ordered the hummus and Baba Ganush, which was freshly made! We asked for fresh veggies as it comes with one large pita. We also ordered the Pinot Noir. It was nice and light. We did notice the menu was very limited but the dishes do a good job of being worth the choice. We also got the mushroom pizetta which was served on focaccia with arugula, fresh mozzarella, and mushrooms on top! Highly recommend!

Went for an anniversary dinner. Everything was fine at best. Took the host 10 minutes to notice we had arrived even though it wasn t busy. Tried to order mocktails off the menu but were told they don t have any of the ingredients to make them, and they didn t offer any alternatives. For food: The burrata was under flavored, the pesto it was with was over salted, and we were disappointed that it didn t have any bread/chips/pita to eat it with. The French fries were great. We split the branzino for an entree, the fish was well cooked and seasoned but the sauce it came with didn t add anything, which was disappointing since it s a $50 dish. Overall overpriced for dinner but potentially a nice view to have a cocktail if that s what you re going for.

First, let me say I did not eat any food there. So I gave it 5 stars anyway, because the great place was so great. Inside well decorated beautiful breathtaking views of san antonio. Came here after I got married with my wife and had a wonderful time.Pictures came out amazing. The only issue I had was with the bartethere, a group of his normal patrons came in and he was paying more attention to them than to me and my party even though we were ordering a lot of drinks. There were times where we had to wait 5 Or more just to get a drink because he was busy conversating instead of doing his actual job. Other than that small issue, it was great.

The roof top vibes are everything here! Met up with friends here for a birthday gathering and we had a fabulous time. I believe our servers name was Brianna. She was awesome and brought out a sparkler for the birthday celebration. I loved how The Wild Mushroom Pizzetta was prepared on the toasted focaccia. I enjoyed it. I think that French basket was the best Ive ever had. Those fries were so fresh and hot, plus the harissa aioli was hitting!! My friends and I came here for Sunday lunch. Jaden was our waiter and he was super friendly and attentive. The DJ was the best!! I wish I could have gotten their name, but they were playing some jams and mixes that had us singing in our seats. The Tusan Pasta was DELICIOUS!! Chicken was so moist and the flavors were perfect. Blueberry Yum Yum was also delicious!! The views & vibes all on point. Definitely coming back!!

Excellent place to dine, especially when you get a dinner table at the porch area of the restaurant overlooking the beautiful, breathtaking downtown view of San Antonio,Tx. The ambiance is amazing! The food prices are fair & delicious food serve... I loved their calamares & their Angus beef burgers. The people are so friendly as well. Highly recommended, especially for a romantic dinner, but we went for dinner because my sister visited us from California ,so we could do bonding. Parking: You could park across the hotel with cheaper rates.Kids may not be allowed because they serve wine/ alcoholic drinks, but if you dont drink alcoholic beverages, they serve soda & iced tea..

The food at The Moons Daughters is inspired by the Greek goddess of the moon. All the dishes were small plates of Greek tapas. We could have ordered pretty much the whole menu. It all sounded delicious! We took the advice of our waiter (who was excellent) and went for a small number of dishes. This actually turned out to be enough for us. First up we had the Between Us. This comprised of Roasted Beet Hummus, Fresh Pomegranates, Arbequina Oil, Baba Ghanoush, Olives, Feta, Paprika, Artichoke Hummus, XO Sauce, Fresh Pita. The Pita was puffy and soft. The dips were exquisite. I liked the addition of the olives sunken into the hummus. Then came the Certified Angus Bavette. The Top Sirloin Flap was a perfectly cooked medium rare steak. It was exceptionally tender. It lay on a bed of deliciously sweet and vibrantly orange saffron carrot puree. This was topped was Shatta, ground green chillies combined with salt and olive oil. The flavour combination was amazing. The final dish we had was the Chicken Souvlaki. These were succulent chicken thighs on skewers. The chicken was marinated in a honey harissa glaze, yogurt drizzle, and was accompanied with a refreshing orzo salad and mint cilantro chermoula. The cocktails are really good too but be warned the All Thats Nice is very spicy!

And one of the voices was empty but we couldnt get that because someone else reserved that but wasnt even there yet. So what about first come first serve???? Never ever do they get any money from us! Food was absolutely delicious, great atmosphere, simple and short menu but full of surprises!! Our meal advisor Adrianna was a delight, guiding us through the menu and making we knew what we were ordering. She came back repeatedly to ensure we were taken care of. The whole meal was delicious. Will definitely come back! Downside? $30 valet charge or incredibly difficult parking around there, every place needs you to download an app and I don t like my phone. Best parts, the food and Adrianna s customer service, out of this world both. Thank you!!

Beautiful views and craft cocktails, great service! A great place for a romantic night out, or even a photo op for the Instagramers out there. Located in the Thompson hotel which also has a pool bar, and restaurant with a bar! All three bars are on the expensive side but definitely worth every penny. The food is artistically delicious as well! Matt T was our bartender/server and made our visit an experience.

Sat at the filthy bar for 10 minutes after being told we needed a reservation for a table. This place has really changed and not for the better. I booked a party of 5 for the lounge and we were given a high top table. When I asked about the reservation, the hostess told me it s first come first serve. Makes no sense and what s the point of booking a specific area? The food selection was less than desirable and mediocre at best. Limited menu, no substituting, and food just comes when it s ready. Prices are New York like, but entire vibe is less than stellar. I ve been here 5-6 times before, but clearly they ve changed things (waiter acknowledged the owners are trying something new) and we won t be back.

This is THE place to be during golden hour when the sun is setting over downtown San Antonio. Lots of variety on the cocktail menu including zero-proof beverages. Outdoor speaker volume could be turned down a few notches though, as it was a bit disruptive to our conversation which is why I went with four stars instead of five. Chill background music is great but not when its intrusive.

View is beautiful but thats it!! our waitress was super sweet, the food was awful the calamari tasted like mozzarella sticks, if your looking for a meal dont go here you get appetizers for main courses. It took them about 20 mins to make two drinks and no one else was there waiting for a drink, we had to ask for water, overall it wasnt pleasant! GREAT VIEW OF SAN ANTONIO THOUGH! I reserved a seat for the inside but since it was dead the hosts gave us an option to sit outside. Outside was an amazing view at night. The server was very knowledgeable and gave us drink options based on our preferences. We did not order food but the menu did look pricey. The drinks were really good! First off the drinks are overpriced. Every cocktail is $16 and not worth it. Drinks are not bad but not with $16, the view is very beautiful and I guess that is what you pay for. We also had the truffle fries and those were excellent. We didnt try any other food on the menu since the plates looked small but overall it was fine, nothing special
