I am giving this place five stars, but with an asterisk: the staff and crowd are wildly different. On the staff side, one bartender went out of her way to help my order work, and the KJ (Karaoke) was straightforward, clear about the expectations and extremely accommodating. On the crowd side and this is why Im giving this place five stars despite this the clientele felt, with the exception of a few people, cliquer than most bars. You can just feel this out, based on posture and how people arrange their groups; this had a very every group stands/sits in a circle. On the plus side theyre strangely more intelligent than every karaoke bar Ive been to on the west side with the exception of college bars, but unlike e.g. Dads or Zombies this struck me as a quite difficult place to make new friends. (Silver lining: you can very easily practice songs here.) I still think this is a great place to go with your friends and I dont know what the owners could possibly do to create a more gregarious environment, so Im not faulting the place for it. Just dont expect hype.

My bf and I needed some relaxation time and we found the perfect place. Everyone there, including ppl that went there for the same reason, was very hospitable, friendly, and efficient in assisting my partner and I. Our night out was very well worth getting out. Thank you to Hidden Tavern employees and the ppl that helped us out. We definitely found our place of comfort.

This place is a run down dive bar. The owner Debbie will sit at your table and talk badly about the people at the bar and employees. She also tolerates regulars coming in being homophobic and making lewd comments.

They need a better karaoke guy. The past couple times I have gone the guys that ran the show sucked! Long long waits and terrible at rotation. Bathrooms are gross and drinks are a bit too expensive for a whole in the wall.

Love this karaoke bar! Its such a fun low key spot to come to by yourself or with a friend/friends! They have a few pool tables and lots of seating. I went on a Monday night where they had a $2.50 special on Michelob Ultra! They have trivia nights on Tuesday s, and I m sure they have other fun activities the other days of the week. I ll be coming back when I want to have a drink and listen to people sing or maybe participate myself!

Love going to Hidden Tavern! My favorite bartender is AJ! Fast and responsive, and remembers what my favorite drink is! I can come in, signal for a shot then go sign up for karaoke and the shot is waiting for me when I get back! Always takes care of me and make sure that the other customers are not left waiting. When you go, if she s working, it s guaranteed you ll be able to relax and have a good time !

An excellent option in the city of San Antonio, Texas to enjoy some beers and/or drinks of liquor. This establishment, like other bars, closes at two in the morning; It has tables outside the establishment that are occupied by smokers. During my visit I realized that the only staff in the establishment is the bar, so to order drinks there are lines to line up to order your drinks. There is also a machine that sells fried foods and you can buy them if you wish. Finally, it is a bar that has karaoke.

Love coming here for Karaoke. People are friendly. KJ is great on Mon and Fri. (JR) and Quinn on Sunday. Karaoke is every night 10 to 2am. We only go on Monday nights and occasionally on Sundays due to work schedule. Lots of regulars like us.

Quality continues to slide here. KJs are really all about the regulars. The crowd atmosphere is really stale. There are some really nice people to conversation with. Crowd as a whole looks very suspect. Staff behind the bar has taken the biggest nose dive. Used to be the highlight. No personality and service in slow. This place really is a hidden tavern. During the panorama, they continously clean and disinfect the entire place. Even the karaoke DJ disinfects the microphone after each song. Please come here if you like karaoke and youre not a Karen. Great place overall! I came here on a Wednesday night.

Erica, the manager, is a HUGE buzzkill. She makes customers feel extremely uncomfortable. She gets mad and acts above all about social distancing when it s not her shift, but Sunday 9/26, Erica has a table in the back corner with over 8 people. When she s behind the bar I definitely avoid those days.

I have been coming to this bar for a couple years. If I could give a zero rating I would. Who is the manager, Ericas behavior is completely unprofessional. She is the rudest bartender I have ever met. Most of the time she is wasted. Attends to what I assume are her regulars ASAP and leave others waiting or just completely ignores them. I know the new policy is if sitting you may take your mask off. When walking around your mask must be wore. A man was half way on his seat and she began screaming how he needs to put his mask on I will never come back to this bar and will be letting all my friends know about the poor service Erica provides and how she is always drunk and rude.

It s a nice little neighborhood bar, nothing fancy, it s cozy, and the main thing here is the karaoke. Drinks are cheap and they have good bartenders. The crowd is mostly an older crowd but this is honestly a judge free zone, very diverse, you ll have fun here for sure
