We had dinner to celebrate a milestone anniversary. The atmosphere on the patio was very beautiful being under the tree canopy with the hanging lights and Austin mural. The food and drinks were so good. The staff was very attentive and our server Gigi was fantastic. We will definitely be coming back. This place is FIRE!!! The patio ambience was perfect and relaxing the food was 5 stars down to the last bite yummy mimosas and very attentive service. Our waiter Tyler was the absolute best! He took care of us and really made us feel at home. Also, parking in the retail garage made it a one minute walk to the restaurant! I highly recommend!

Phenomenal food and drink here! Top Italian places Ive tried. Their old fashioned uses fig syrup and a few other mods but its a great unique flavor that we enjoyed. The rigatoni and house brioche are must dos - truffle butter! Crudo had a slight Thai flavor and was really flavor. Note the spicy Italian pizza is SPICY. We have no complaints and everything wA great, but for others Id note that its not a large menu entrees but you can probably find something for everyone. Substitutions werent easy ie lamb in pappardalle. So I wouldnt necessarily call this a kid friendly place but its absolutely worth checking out for a good night out or date. They also had live music on the patio, patio is equipped with fans and misters to keep it cool. We showed up an hour early to the reservation and they were able to accommodate us without any problem or pushback. Dress code is casual to whatever fancy youd like as they stated youre welcome to just come and enjoy the restaurant. Love that attitude! Service was very attentive and timely, a good pace for us to enjoy the company and meal.

A good place to have a date or celebrate a big day! The staff was very nice and gave us a lot of good recommendations to decide what to get, and we love all of them :) Highly recommend the crispy potato and the mushroom pizza. Love how the flavors and the texture combined with all the elements, it s such a harmony The steak has an interesting sauce that balances the meat and bone itself with a little bit of notes of sourness (which is refreshing when the steak and mashed potatoes were already buttery), but hope the restaurant can have a single order for some bread to pair with the bone marrow The duck ravioli (can t remember the actual name) included all of the elements I would love to have from a classical duck plate- floral and citrusy sauce with the notes of cherry and sage! We got all of the desserts of the day. The chocolate tart was great (just not special if you want something inspiring I will recommend the panna cotta) The panna cotta was quite fun! The crumble and the jam are like a fusion version of a peach cobbler. Overall, will come back time to try the pork and the tartare (or the new dessert once they have tiramisu )

A friend and I came for a Thursday night dinner and had a BLAST. Mikey was our server and let me tell you, we LOVED Mikey. He was funny, attentive, and gave great recommendations. My friend is dairy and gluten free and he helped her go through the menu. Seriously excellent service. The food was overall great too. The beef tartar fell flat for us. It was okay, but not great. The fuck confit agnolotti was crazy delicious though. I don t think I ve ever had a pasta dish with those flavor combinations before. Overall, we had an amazing time and the vibes were great! I was pleasantly surprised by the service at this place. It s just wow. We came with our dog, and they brought water for our pup. We were seated at the spot we wanted. The staff constantly checked on us to see if everything tasted good and if we were comfortable. My boyfriend ordered a spicy pizza, but it turned out to be too spicy for him since hes not used to spicy food. The restaurant manager quickly and effortlessly replaced his dish with another one. He was very satisfied. The food here is incredibly delicious. Before the main course, we were served freshly baked rolls with salted butter. We sat outside, and I really loved the atmosphere. We sat by a tree with string lights, and there was very pleasant music playing. I ll be recommending this place to my friends.

We loved Fig! Glad we snagged a res one month after opening before it s taken over by the general public ;) It was the perfect spot for our 6pm date night dinner- intimate setting, very knowledgeable staff and great cocktails. Our server, Teddy was helpful as it was our first time and brought great vibes and energy. Even after days of looking over the menu, we had a difficult time deciding on what to order but our favorites were the mussels and wild mushroom pizza. Im a man of little words, but the food was excellent. the soft jazz music outside added nice ambiance to the patio dining under a large oak tree. Food: ate a delicious salad with the tiniest of breadcrumbs that fit into every biteful of the burrata and peach salad. The tomatoes were also delicious. The agnolioti pasta was excellent - crushed sour cherries, pops of squash, and a very well made pasta stuffed with enough cream to balance the acid of the sauce. My only complaint was that the sauce might be a touch too acidic - but like I couldnt stop eating it either. For dessert, I could not pass up a corn based pana cotta and it was such a lovely plated dish, from the pops of key lime to the crumble of graham crackers reminiscent of an inverter pie. Drinks: I had an excellent, fluffy take on the espresso martini - it was a deliciously refreshing drink to pair with my meal and stayed cold without getting too diluted throughout. Service: bartender was my main server because I went early in the evening before rush and also because of proximity to the bar. Lots of service from other team members, refilling water and removing my plates. The main host also came by to check that my meal was going well, which was nice. Ambiance: little table lights made everything beautiful. Kitchen is open to the dinners view, including the pizza oven, which was interesting, and the bar, which is fairly typical.

I was so excited to try Fig for Austin Restaurant Week but when I got there, the host said they weren t offering it anymore and that they sold out. Disappointing but we still had a nice dinner! Once upon a time I was a very hungry little lad. However, after leaving this fine establishment, I am leaving with a plump full belly. Opening the doors is what I imagine the entrance to heaven would be like. It was an equivalent experience to waking up on a cloud of pillows. The service was quite divine where our server, Ava, had the most wonderful Wisconsin accent to tickle our ears with. The food. wow the food. I ordered the rigatoni and let me tell you that my Italian ancestors would be very much pleased . It was so good that my brother ordered a second bowl! I had to drop some kids off at the pool whilst munching on quite the meal, and let me tell you, those bathrooms were quaint, clean, and comfy. Now the atmosphere it would be a 5/5 as the dark chestnut tables and the angular light fixtures scream home to me however.. the music is similar to if Disney held a rave. It s as if SpongeBob decided to start making music. I m genuinely frightened that Im going wake up tonight screaming because the music decided to haunt me. Overall I would recommend this place to any family as it s a very open environment.

My husband and I dined at Fig tonight after seeing a mouth watering Instagram reel. The service was amazing, it was cool enough to eat outside and the outdoor atmosphere was so relaxing. Our server Teddy was incredibly attentive, the crispy potato appetizer was insanely good, and when we forgot our leftovers at the table Teddy chased us down before we got to our car to make sure we were able to take them home!! Fantastic food.. we came here for my wife s birthday and this place did not disappoint us. We got the Campanella pasta, brioche, crispy potatoes and half chicken. For my vegetarian friends the restaurant offered to make spicy sausage pizza without meat.. that pizza is really spicy in a good way. We loved it.. this will be our regular spot.. each and every item was amazing.. our server was great, atmosphere is great..

If you re thinking of coming here, do it!!!! I wish I took photos because I got the casoncelli and it was so amazing. Homemade pasta with a delicious sauce. I ve had almost every Italian dish prior to coming here and the menu was so unique compared to traditional Italian. It was Italian with a unique twist and i enjoyed it more than anything I ve had in ATX yet. Anna was my server she was so kind and helpful. Andres helped us also he was so lovely and knowledgeable about the menu. I will definitely be back again soon!!! 10/10

I got the Pappardelle, hand made pasta was some of the best I have had in Austin. The dish was very delicious and was prepared rather quickly, in fact it was prepared so fast I had not received my silverware to enjoy the meal (took a couple of minutes before I acquired utensils).

This is a very cool dining room with interesting light fixtures on the ceiling and little lamps on each table enhancing the ambiance. Our visit happened during Restaurant Week so we had the price fixed menu and the regular menu to choose from. We chose the 3 course Restaurant Week menu and were not disappointed! All of the food was very flavorful. I especially liked the tempura squash filled blossom and the agnolotti (filled pasta with duck and mini plums). The head chef even came to our table to ask how we were enjoying the food! And they served us a complimentary aperitif! Such a wonderful experience! We re already planning to bring friends here! First time here. Great place for dates or seeing old friends. The front staff seemed a little off-putting at first but then we sat down and got Anna who was a gem and made the evening one to remember. She was everything someone wants in a waitress, and though the food was delightful she was even more delightful. Will definitely return!

We had just returned from 3 weeks in Italy and wanted to continue our culinary adventure at home in Austin, which is why we chose Fig to celebrate a special birthday on a Friday night. The restaurant is nice enough on the inside, but nothing special - I expected more for a place that had just opened and boasted a Michelin star Chef. Our reserved table was too close to the entrance. Tables were too close together overall. Music was too loud. We had to yell to have a conversation with the person across the table. Very annoying. We ordered wine and mocktails (as there were some non drinkers in our group). The wine was good. My 11 year old could make better mocktails. Dont order the Lavender Lemonade - it tastes like cough syrup. The appetizers were the BEST (crispy potatoes, mushroom arancini and the burrata salad), the main meal was GOOD (portions were hearty and the food was incredibly flavorful), but the dessert was where it FELL FLAT. There were only 3 desserts on the menu; we ordered 2 out of the 3. Waited almost twice the amount of time we had to wait for the rest of the meal and when they finally came out, they were atrocious. The panna cotta came out WARM. At the very least, it should be chilled. The brioche was LAUGHABLE. It was a scoop of ice cream thrown onto a crispy, hard brioche bun that looked like it came out of the bag of Hawaiian sweet rolls. What a disappointing end to the evening.

Good food and a pleasant atmosphere. My favorite was the lamb pappardelle pasta; it was incredibly tender and fresh definitely the best pappardelle Ive had in Austin. The beef tartare was excellent with a generous portion. The Little Gem salad was a refreshing treat. Drinks were well-made, and the Old Fashioned was spot on. The gelato was exceptional and a must-try. The intimate ambiance made it perfect for a date night.

This spot has seen some terrific Italian iterations and experiences. Fig is no exception, really beautiful interior, legit music selection, balanced menu and attentive service. The brick pizza oven is still here and produces #legendary pizza. Great spot and parking. Parking: Enter off Lamar at the 704 lit entrance, just south of the restaurant.

We headed to S. Austin from NW Austin this past Friday evening on our way to the High Ball. We wanted to have dinner first, so we Googled top restaurants on S. Lamar. Fig Italian Kitchen and Bar popped up on the top of the list and my girlfriend said, lets go there! We were so glad we did so. From the moment we were greeted by the hostess we knew we had chosen wisely. Our servers, Gigi and Anna, were the best, and the apps and the entree were superb! To top off a wonderful night, the chef and proprietor, Cole Ireland, personally visited our table to make sure everything was perfect. Thank you, Cole, Gigi and Anna -- you made us feel like family!

I recently ate at Fig, which has remarkable food. The chef who won a Michelin plate (likely at a previous restaurant) creates dishes with complex and unusual flavors. I especially like how he knows to mix the sweet, the savory and the acidity. I especially enjoyed the crispy potatoes small plate, with its French gribiche sauce (I am French btw). The pork milanese tomahawk was nice and crispy, served with a delicious salad on the side and paired very well with a Campanelle pasta cooked in a squash based sauce that was both unique and delicious. We got happy hour prices for the small plates and indulged with the cute little gem salad and its delicious dressing, as well as the very nicely done brioche with the truffle butter. Finally my wife had 2 drinks which looked great and the staff was very attentive but not obtrusive. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and will be back.

Very mid, overpriced food. The pricing would work for an upscale restaurant downtown, but I think its just too expensive considering the mediocre quality and non-downtown location. The food was really good, however the service was a bit slow given the crowd wasn t big at the time we ate. I think an Italian restaurant charging for bread is like a Mexican place charging for chips and salsa and a bit tacky. It was just two of us so bread was $7, but a table of 4 would be $14 and honestly seems unreasonable. They did give us a $10 coupon to come back which I may give to a friend.
