It s definitely a dive bar on steroids. They keep it really clean and the bartenders are amazing and the food is amazing. Drinks are inexpensive and everyone is really nice. Yeah pool tables and darts and a pretty expensive patio outside. Can t say enough positive about it.

This place seemed nice enough me and my sister were looking for somewhere new to go do karaoke I looked them up on Google and saw that they had karaoke Saturday night when we got there there was very little people and the ones that were there were not doing karaoke everyone was just kind of sitting at the bar talking I definitely would have felt weird if I was the only one trying to do karaoke and it didnt even seem like they had systems set up for karaoke night so yeah. the bartender whose name I did not catch was nice

3/26 PM shift... worst bartender ever. did not check on us until she called last call at 12:00AM. She was more worried about her friends there and closing than guests. I have been here several times and enjoyed it so much that I wanted to end my birthday there, just to have the worst service Ive ever had.

This is a good spot if you are looking for a local dive bar near the airport with cheap drinks and decent bar food. It has a Cheers feel to it where everybody knows your name. With happy hour prices its full of locals but open to guests. Jukebox app to play your favorite songs, play darts, shoot pool... Just check it out. It is Kid friendly before 9pm.

So this is a nice little place. However... We were told by the DRUNK bartender when we ordered food. The cook isnt here. So we shrugged and ordered beers and played trivia. The food on here(Google) looked amazing. nut I guess you gotta show up when the cook is there to eat. Didnt know a bar in Texas could NOT serve some kind of food while serving alcohol. Go figure...

This is a great local dive bar. Its my neighborhood bar and its reasonable prices and extended happy hours make it a great place to visit. They have a scratch kitchen at the bar that has fantastic food. This is not low grade bar food, its a step above the rest.

I went with friends during our work break. We like to get the Wednesday wing special, and we understand that the food takes time to prepare. Usually we try to order ahead of time or go as soon as we get on break. Not accusing anyone of anything, but the moment any of my black female friends asked about their order - the status and to add on - they were immediately met with attitude. My friend that was the last to get her order got the wrong food. When the cook handed it to her, she said it was wrong, and he did not acknowledge her AT ALL - strolled to the back without a single care. She ordered lemon pepper extra crisp, but the bartender suggested AJ Style my friend said she guessed as long as it was the lemon pepper extra crisp. Then the bartender snatched the basket away. The customer isn t always right, I ll agree to that, but when the customer is, they shouldn t be treated poorly and not given an insincere-half hearted apology when they re leaving and have their food (wrong or not) snatched away. After bickering with my friend and confronting the waitress s attitude, the bartender was crying. Literally can not be told that you are wrong - should not be in good or customer service. Control your emotions like an adult. On top of everything, another worker chimed in and only escalated the situation, and was just exchanging profanity with my friend. Literally a simple fix met by attitude, mishandling, and of course no manager or supervisor available. I feel like both the bartender and the lady at the bar counting money could have handled everything better. I get that it s not fast food, but they still handle food and customer service. If you can t handle a critique or a complaint from a sober customer, I can t imagine how they handle anyone intoxicated. I told the bartender that we appreciated her apology, belated or not. Sad that I want nothing to do with this place now, especially with an awesome name. I m definitely not coming back.

AJs is gem of a bar if there ever was one around town. Cant say Ive seen this on any lists but it should be in the conversations. The drinks are reasonably priced, and the food is great. Its standard bar fare, but on a higher level. The burgers are perfectly cooked and delicious. For $10 with fries as of 6/21/21 theyre a steal! The onion rings and fried pickles are excellent. Overall it feels like a neighborhood pub, and is as clean any restaurant.

I loooove this place!! Marsha is amazing and the bar is redone and fantastic, check it out! Update: so they just changed the menu and it s amazing! Shrimp stuffed mushrooms are the best! Had chicken soup with bacon grilled cheese (it was the special) and I m impressed. Best one yet? Pulled pork spud. They put mozzarella cheese so it compliments the bbq perfectly. this is still my go-to spot.

This is a nice place that I stumbled upon after a planned visit to see Marsha. Ive been a faithful patron of hers for many years and will continue to visit her when I can. If you are looking for a neighborhood bar with great food, drink specials and a friendly staff this is the place! The last time I was there I managed to arrive around shift change Marsha and Brandee both were an absolute delight in the service they offered me and the rest of the bar. My fiancé went for the wings, which he said were delicious and we would be back for them! I absolutely fell in love with the philly cheese steak nachos and what I can only assume are chorizo beans! Might have to stop in soon for the food and service again!!

I came to this bar a few months ago for the first time and I was pleasantly surprised. The bar is clean and the atmosphere friendly. Some of the best drink and food specials that Ive seen in a while. By the way the food is actually pretty good. All of the bartenders are friendly and attentive. If you go there during the day, look for Marsha, very knowledgeable and friendly. Have been coming here since they opened. Now suddenly walked in with my wife and son at 2ish on a Wednesday afternoon and we were told we could not be served because our son was under 16 (hes 13). We offered to sit on the patio to enjoy our food but were told no he wasnt allowed to be there at all. While I understand the owner has every right to set rules for their establishment I have gone to nearly every other local bar and grill (Charlie Browns, Evil Olive, Hawks) with my family and have never been turned away. The only positive I have is that the bartender seemed truly uncomfortable having to ask us to leave.

I travel to SA on business and feel lucky to have found this place. Marsha is an amazing bartender and even without an empty seat at the bar I didn t have to wait to get my next round when ready. It is no wonder why they have a group of regulars that I keep seeing on return visits. The food is good and happy hour specials are a plus. The service is most important though and Marsha alone makes it worth stopping.

Have only been once, but our bartender Heather was awesome. I would normally deduct a star for the skunked Stella (I suspect they have the beer stored under florescent light) but Heather more than made up for it by replacing it with a delicious cocktail. Ok..here it is... The drinks are priced Right and the food is wonderful! However... The service sucks! NO wait staff in the daytime anyway. Its not real busy, but you have to go to the bar to order food and even after your order food and drinks you have to pick it up yourself! We go for lunch because its close but it takes 30 to 40 mins to get food so you gotta eat fast or take it in a box and eat at work. Bad service. Good food and good drinks..

So the last time i wrote any review was years ago, but i need to spread the word about this place! Very chill, laid back, prices are great, our bartender was Marsha,..... listen i was having a rough day looking to keep to my self, but Marsha really cheered me up, you just dont run into great authentic, caring people like her. Atmosphere was great but Marsha created the expierence.!!!...oh yea the food is great...the only way you know im telling the truth, just visit youll see what a great place this is. This is the best place in town for incredible burgers (other food great too!) And craft beer and cocktails! Everyone who works here is fabulous!

Leah throwing it down behind the bar slanging dranks on a Friday night, hustling the $5 burgers till 1am which are tasty af! One of the best times Ive had here so far.

Had a party of 12 for lunch and I got to say I was blown away by the service. We were able to preorder our food and everything was ready to go by the time we arrived. The music was not ever bearingly loud like some other places I have been so I was able to talk with my customers that I brought there. Even overheard a few of them saying that they were going to be coming back later. Heather was bartending and I could not say enough about her. She was absolutely on top of everything for all of us which we all know it is no easy task tending to a party of that size. Definately going to be doing more customer outings there!

First time here was great. Second and third were both terrible. Male bartender named Beau, I think, ignored us for 10+ minutes, never made contact, BOTH times! We left.
