Horrible, the place is good and clean but the works of art are horrible, they are just a mockery that does not even deserve to be in an art museum :/ and the most horrible thing was seeing a painting of how they made fun of the Virgin of Guadalupe . Definitely a horrible place

Centro de Artes hosted a Artist Signing and Free Fiesta Medal event! Bringing our culture together to experience meeting new people, experiencing The Loteria gallery which was the coolest! Had us laughing because could relate to so many of the exhibit pieces! Staff absolutely wonderful and so helpful. If you cant handle stairs, there is an elevator. There are bathrooms available as well. The parking was accessible across the street at the Goodwill parking lot but we did pay $10 and lots of construction but Google maps took us straight to venue. After you step out of the gallery you can walk through the Mercado and enjoy shopping for all your cultural and fiesta needs!

I randomly found this FREE museum as I was walking by the area. I strolled inside not knowing what to expect. It was a free exhibit. This one featured Millennial Loteria artists and creators Mike Alfaro & Gerardo Guillén. It was an easy exhibit to go through. Everything was easy to read and the artwork was self explanatory and fun. Everyone coming in loved the artwork. It was refreshing finding something free for all to enjoy.

Visiting downtown and came across the entrance to view the exhibit and other than the folks at the front desk not being too greeting to the other customers and myself, the exhibition was very interesting and very well put together. Super clean, including the restrooms. Very intimate and informative pictures of the immigrants and their journeys and struggles in the photos display. But really disappointed in the 2 employees at the entrance not being helpful in telling us the process to sign in and at least communicating to us a little of what we are walking in to. Other than that, it went well.

Not being that experienced in art, I considered some photos I came across a little out of place. Although I found the ones about the immigrants quite interesting. But if someone knows how to find flavor in any art. I would surely enjoy the place.

Soy de Tejas exhibit was amazing! Centro de artes is a former museum turned gallery-the space is 2 story, high ceilings, white spacious walls. Located in the heart of the Market Square, this art space and exhibition is a delightful unexpected surprise. Contemporary artista from Texas are featured here and the shows are changing on a regular basis to give you something different to look at. Admission is free but parking is usually a paid lot.

Art is 4 stars, very symbolic and meaningful stuff (some other abstract stuff that i dont really get or want to understand, despite being hispanic and all) but the place is so small so I cant give it a 5, buuuut its free so I wont give it 3 stars. Thats my experience with the place at least. Hope you find a better time than me and appreciate it more

This is a hidden gem! The exhibits rotate. We saw the exhibit 159 that was all work by a specific artist. I like how everything was labeled and you could read about the artists life. There were hundreds of people crowded outside at Market Square, but inside this place was empty, such a shame. Bonus it is air conditioned and has clean restrooms. The gift shop up front was cute too.
