PLZ SAVE YALLS MONEY! My nephew had a party here 2yrs ago and it was FUN But NOW IT IS HORRIBLE!! My sister was Left behind with the three children that day and now the staff was willing to help her or give her a phone to call her husband or any of her family members. She was literally on the street begging for someone to use a phone and nobody was helping her. I am furious with them for being so disrespectful after we just had a party there she wasnt no bum off the street. She was a paying customer and they couldnt offer her a phone to use for 2 minutes. Ridiculous!!!!! I really wanted to come back cuz it was so much fun but with the staffs attitude and horrible management. NO I THINK NOT. DAVE & BUSTERS IS WAY MUCH BETTER THAN THIS PLACE

They constantly come up with the WORST ideas for them and they are all horrible & impossible to win except the ping pong drop (AND EVEN THEN ITS PURE LUCK!!) Be prepared to spend 100s of $$$ just to get ONE item. Carpet is always dirty & employees refuse to help you.

The word arcade should be removed from the name. By arcade they mean 100s of claw machines, a couple racing games and a couple shooters. Had one row of what looked like knock off japanese fighting games. Was hoping to find some pinball, classic cabinet games or emulators, nothing of the sort. If you want to shoot pool or bowl, youll have fun. If youre looking for a true arcade and not a stuffed animal gambling den, stay away.

This place was wonderful!!! My husband and I were looking for a place to spend a date night, and he suggested Round1. We had gone here to play billiards before, but were unsure of anything else they had there. Come to find out, they had karaoke rooms available to rent!!! My husband and I were able to go late afternoon in the middle of the week and rent out a karaoke room for one hour for only $16!!! The karaoke was easy to figure out: you could either 1) use their karaoke machine app to play songs from the system OR 2) you could hook it up to your bluetooth and do it from your own library!!! All in all, we had a WONDERFUL time and we will definitely be back!!! If you re looking for a place to go on a date night, a night out with friends, or even to host a party, this is the place! Please come here if you can!

honestly dont think it is fair to leave a 1 star review based off one particular (new) claw machine (installed sometime this week 26aug-29aug) but this needs to be brought to the attention of management and hopefully prevent a few folks from being scammed. Overall, I would give Round 1 (claw machines) a solid 4/5. A decent variety of styles, plushes, figures ect.. The staff can be helpful at times, but depending on who you talk to, they enforce the I can only reset to the start position rule. Sometimes the box gets in a very difficult position to win and sometimes it just needs a small nudge to a side to make it possible and some staff will help while others will fully restart your progress as told by their management. I lived in Japan for 12 years and got quite good at all types of claw machines so I dont mind a little challenge or the precision types. I posted a few pics of the figures I have won over the last few months to show this isnt a oh hes a sore loser so he left a bad review kind of thing. And I also very often help or even win prizes for other that are struggling while Im there. I am here to say there is one particular machine that is a full-blown scam. When I asked the staff and proved it was impossible (certain prizes) she said, yeaaahh, we know. Its part of the machine and we are not allowed to assist in any way, or we get in trouble. All of this leads to the scam machine. (last picture) I am considering this a full-blown scam based off 2 reasons. Firstly, I should explain how to win. You move the yellow rod over the box and when you release, the rod goes down and pushes the prize. Now its jammed between two poles and when the sensor receives pushback, it stops. This is intended and very money consuming, however, winnable. (not a scam) What makes this a scam is the set up, positioning and stability of the pole. The prize with the red circle is literally impossible to win because the will only go so far to the left AND back before it fully stops by itself. Preventing you from any real strategy. Part of the game? Sure. However, the red X at the top shows that the belt which is attached to the yellow rod hits the boxes and will not let you go back. Completely stops you so if the prize is at the top of the silver poles, you will not even hit it. Finally, even using the machines full potential, I showed the staff how far it was able to go and when it hit the prize with the red circle, because it is at an angle and the yellow rod is not sturdy, it simply slides off without the slightest nudge of progress. It works on some of the prizes in these types of machines but not all and thats what I tried to explain to the staff. She understood but reiterated that she is unable to help AT ALL. I won the middle prize (figurizma purple box) to prove that I knew what I was talking about because the box was lower down the rails. When they are high up the rails and on the side furthest from the yellow pole, it is impossible. Im sorry this is long but this machine is a scam. No other way to put it. And the fact that the management knowingly admits to it is a massive problem and unacceptable.

Sorry, but no. As a sanantonio native who remembers the nickel arcade (Larzland) off thousand oaks, I refuse to pay these prices. Are you serious? We paid $35 for my child to play roughly five games. Even the basketball doesnt give a warm-up round, its 12 of your play points for less than three minutes of throwing the ball? You spend over 15% of your play points every time you play a game, equating each game to several dollars per play. THEN to top it off, we checked the ticket count and it was 20! Each of my kids left with a lollipop and a sense of disappointment. Im closing, Its a cool place to have more than 10 minutes of entertainment if you make at least six figures.

Plus they have qr codes asking if you want machines to be added but they don t work.

Pros: - The food here is surprisingly good and cheap - They have a very wide selection of arcade games and an even wider selection of crane games - The crane game and ticket prizes are unique and cool - The bowling alley and billiard tables are nice Cons: -The games, especially the crane games, are too expensive. $100 will only get you about 20 minutes of game time - Many games, like the rhythm games, dont give any prizes or tickets despite having a score system - Quite a few games were out of order - The whole place seems a bit predatory, like a casino for children. The crane games are the biggest reason for this feeling. - Its very loud inside -The air conditioning was either not on or not working when I went. It was very hot inside.

It was a very cool looking place. Had a ton of video games, bowling and pool tables. Unfortunately, it was very expensive. The bowling and pool were average prices. It was the games that were expensive. They ran on credits. It took 12.4 credits for a game of air hockey. It was $10.00 dollars for 24 credits. We couldnt even play two games of air hockey for $10.00. It wasnt crowded and its because of the cost. We ordered a cheeseburger and it took forever. They made it wrong and had to remake it. Took 30 minutes to make it. More staff than guests.

Round1 Arcade offers a mixed experience that leaves much to be desired despite some positive aspects. Firstly, while the food options are generally good for being arcade food, there were notable issues during my visit. While our order was ready in a timely manner, the quality of the products being served is somewhat lackluster. On top of that, 3 or 4 of the main items on the already small menu were unavailable, which was disappointing and limited the choices even further. It being a friday night, one would think that they would be fully stocked for the weekend. Pricing is another area where Round1 falls short, in my opinion. When you spend $35 on credits, skeeball is priced about $0.70 per play and racing games at around $2.20. This makes it an expensive outing, especially for families or groups who want to play multiple games. I get that everything is expensive nowadays. However, $35 for 30-45 minutes of games for one person is not really an affordable night out. The crane game prizes have also noticeably shifted in variety. Whereas a year ago, the prizes included an even mix of plushies and figures, now they consist almost exclusively of plushies. This lack of diversity can be disappointing for those who enjoyed the broader range of rewards. Bowling, however, is actually the cheapest price per game and per hour that I could find in the city. The lanes, balls, and shoes also all seemed very well maintained. Another downside was the apparent understaffing. The arcade was clearly struggling with having enough employees to handle the number of customers, which caused employees to continuously switch between stations to keep up with the guests. This did not look to be an easy task, as they also had multiple POS system that were down. I do not frequent this arcade, and one of the employees did mention that they were down a manager, so I will give them the benefit of the doubt for this one. However, on a positive note, the staff that were present were all super helpful and friendly, going above and beyond to assist customers. Every one of the staff members did an exceptional job at meeting the guests needs and keeping wait times relatively low. Their dedication and positive attitudes helped to mitigate some of the negative aspects of the visit. In summary, while Round1 Arcade has some appealing features like its friendly staff and low cost bowling, it is marred by limited and low quality food options, a lack of variety in crane game prizes, and high game costs.

Also, how do you run out of limes for dos xx? I d rather go to D&B.

The GM is incompetent and there are serious employment related issues that affected me as a patron. Hearing from prior staff whom I respect in the San Antonio Texas community of deplorable managerial practices. You should not go to this establishment as they discriminate against their staff! I observed mistreatment of staff by GM and his supervisors to staff when trying to enjoy games with my kids.

Adult with learning disability I was with who literally cannot read put 50 dollars into the machine here and selected the 22 dollar option and the manager would NOT refund his change. He says there was a tiny message at the bottom of the screen that says no change and he should have known. Ridiculous. Will never come here again other than to spend this 50 dollars in credits we are forced to spend now. Not friendly to adults with disability.

I was a regular customer here and used to love to frequent this place, but last week I lost my play card while I was at the location. I asked to front desk if there was anything I could do to get a new one and they said no. I think it s pretty sad that you have to pay extra for the black card so if you lose it they can recover your funds. I had no idea it existed and it s pretty predatory that a quality of life feature like that is locked behind a paywall. I will never be returning to a round 1 establishment again.

Wanted to go bowling and it is nice that they are open late. Downside is you have no wait staff and have to stand in line for your food, beverages and this cuts into the bowling time. They were out of some items on the menu and only had 1person working the concession stand. Once we finished bowling my two sons and nephew ate at the bar area. My nephew went to get me a beer and the bartender said that he could not do that. I went up to counter to let him know that he was just going to get me the draft beer. No ill will and the bartender said that he needed my id. I told him that I didn t have it on me . He said that he wasn t going to lose his job so I asked for management. The manager said the same thing and let me know that if I am caught drinking a beer they will call security. I understand policies however, I m 52years of age and common sense could play a role. Clearly I m old enough to drink. I did think that s funny because they have no problem taking my credit card all night long with no I d and my sons and nephew were using my card.

A super fun place to hang out, but, with some things to improve, a little expensive and the staff is not so nice (it is almost impossible to win stuffed animals in the machines) we have tried many times and never succeed, we always see young people with a bunch of stuffed animals, but we have a feeling theyre there on purpose so people will spend their money trying. (These are assumptions) but all the machines we tried do not have a good grip and the stuffed animals fall out of the clamps.

My jaw was on the floor!! As someone whos been going to arcades since the 90s, this is the best arcade ever! There are so many cool music games from Japan I thought Id only see in like LA or NYC. There are so many options its crazy. The claw machines have legit prizes. I will say some of the staff was pretty rude. Particularly the girl selling the game cards. This place is very expensive (I spent $100 on games alone) so Id hope for at least a decent amount of customer service. However I dont even care cuz this place is so fun!! The drinks at the bar are even affordable! $5 pints etc.

We drove all the way from Austin so we re a bit skeptical but Beni is the reason we will be coming back a second time soon!

We had asked for 2 hours of bowling, the employee at the register only rang us for one hour of bowling, even though I put 2 fingers up and repeated 2 hours as it is hard to hear with the loud music. She proceeded to be rude to and argue for about 5 minutes, continuing to say that I only said 1 hour. This is my second time coming here and both times the staff messed up the bowling. The first time we went they didn t extend the game and then when they finally extended the game they put us on three different lanes until they finally put us on the right one.

Some games didnt work. And no signs stating they were out of order. Got a nice billiards set up and bowling lanes. The bathrooms were nice and clean. The bar was really nice. The food selection could use some work though. However I think Dave and Busters are the better option when it comes to games and food IMHO

Regretfully we didnt get to do the bowling, enjoy the bar, play pool or test the food out. If you love claw games though, this is your spot. Also they have a whole musicians game section for producers and all. Maybe Ill come back again and try them on a better day, and change my rating if it all works.

Used to be my favorite place in town to take the girlfriend. The prizes have declined every month since opening to the point now where every machine has the generic plushie holding cardboard cutouts. Also speaking to the employees I was told to increase their profitability they have made the grabbing claw machines weaker. On Saturday night at 8pm the entire food area and bar was closed with the staff high fiving about getting off work early. The staff to reset machines after winning used to be 3-5 people at all times. Now there is 1 designated person who is only on the floor replacing toys about 25% of the time. This leads you to be waiting at a machine to redeem your toy many times up to 10 minutes at a time.
