First time here in San Antonio and this restaurant. We got outside seating and the weather was perfect so Im glad we got to enjoy it while eating. Samantha was great. Im glad she gave us the rude service we asked for haha but she is hilarious and a sweetheart. Other servers including Oscar saw the opportunity to mess with all 3 of us, it made our whole day and its just our kind of humor. Dicks was the highlight of our San Antonio visit

Let me start out by saying that our waitress was wonderful! The food was excellent! The only reason I gave it four star review, is because when I came here last it was in a different location and it was a completely different ambience. The staff would yell at the customers more, they would use different words. It was more of an experience, if you know what I mean. I asked the waitress what, and she told me that the owner wanted to make it more family-friendly, so they couldn t really be like they used to. Also this venue is much much smaller than the old one, and it s stacked so it seems like a much smaller place. Other than that, we had a lot of fun and the food was fantastic.

Me and my boyfriend ate here today and had a good time . The food was sooo good , better than what I remember about a year ago . Manager came by to check on people and was nice ! My server was cool and funny as well . I got the Karen Fee for asking to switch tables due to being scared of the bees that were flying in LOL. PLEASE do something about the bee problem it s the only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 !!! But I definitely recommend everyone to try this place out if you like to laugh and can take a joke.

Took my wife, daughter, mother and mother in law. We went in June (not the best month to visit San Antonio) and it had been quite a while since I had last been to one. It was a great experience. My daughter was confused by the concept and when the server gave her a little sass she could only respond with shut up. The server ended up warming up to my daughter when they discovered they both loved Lilo & Stitch! Overall good humor, our server was top notch (wish I could remember her name but I remember she was a veteran). Even the manager came by to play good cop but again we had nothing but good things to say! Food was great and I can t wait to return!

The Mac and Cheese with steak, and the Hawaiian Pig tacos were both amazing!!! The service was very slow though. Took almost 40mins to get our food, then another 15mins for our drinks because they ran out of tea. Then another 15 for our dessert. The food did taste fresh made and the portions were filling. No one was safe from the hats they made, and most were super funny. Great service considering the atmosphere

We went here on a busy Saturday evening (7pm) with a family of 5. Great service, food, and atmosphere. We had no wait to sit down; waited about 5 minutes to get our drink order taken and another 5 to get our drinks to which we also placed our food order. The food took 15-20 minutes to come out which certainly surprised us with the restaurant being as busy as they were. While we were waiting for our food our server made us paper hats, all us gals were happy with ours and thought they were funny, but the guy with us was very unsatisfied with his as it was a basic derogatory remark about men in general, and we did notice how all the men at that particular server s tables had derogatory sexual remarks as well. The girls didn t think twice about it but I m just including this for honesty. I highly recommended the Hawaiian pork BBQ tacos with mango salsa, those are now one of my top 3 meals ever. We got the appetizer sampler and all of those were phenomenal; wings, ribs, fried shrimp, pickles, fries. The baby back ribs are also phenomenal- tender, juicy, and well marinated. This restaurant is family friendly but the area and downtown in general are not; many areas with stairs and a few without ramps so a stroller is extremely difficult to maneuver in downtown. Therefore it isn t very wheelchair friendly either. We did see a few people there with wheelchairs but it is difficult and you may have to turn around and go back instead of walking the circle. Parking: Paid Parking garage Half a mile away from the restaurant Kid-friendliness: This restaurant is kid friendly and family friendly.

Food was great 5 stars Service was so bad Victoria was our server she gave us very little attention never asked if we were there for a special occasion never asked if we wanted another cocktail or desert . Not one joke with my husband and I was ever shared. We were there July 6 for dinner they were busy but not swamped. I have worked as a server before I expect to be treated as ever other table. She was more interested in the table full of men and boys. We did leave her a note on our ticket, I hope she takes it to heart and treats every customer the same way. This is suppose to be a fun atmosphere and a joking place and it was not. I had been there before with a group of 7 woman and had a blast. So with my husband and I being in town I was hoping for the same experience. not sure we will be back the next time we are in town.

Honestly, I ended up leaving and eating at Fogo De Cao right around the corner, several others left and ate at Salt Grass. The Waiter/Waitresses were the best thing about this place. Came in here nervous of how the service was going to go. Yes they explain it is sarcasm service. So be prepared for jokes, don t be sensitive. Alexa was great from the beginning to the end. Recommended good drinks and made the experience 10x better. Would love to come here again soon, but was just visiting from Houston with my girlfriend. It is a must go spot in San Antonio. I just want to say say thank you so much to my server. I came to have a self-date on the Riverwalk. I am visiting San Antonio from Los Angeles, California. I once lived in San Antonio with my mom for a year in high school. She has now passed away. I walked at Riverwalk to remember her and decided to eat out side. My server whose name I cant remember but I know doubles as hagrid at another restaurant called magic time machine. He sat with me and made sure to keep all the flies away from me and my food. My son and his entourage were on a Senior trip last night and was introduced to the most vulgar service. The waiters were cursing even before they were seated. During the entire event the waiters was giving them dirty straws and throwing dirty napkins on their tables causing even more frustration. My boyfriend and I are from Houston and this was our first stop once we arrived into San Antonio. Though I was stoked on the concept, I was actually scared. Me being a sensitive crybaby, I prepared myself for the worst thing that could happen. But it was quite the opposite. It was actually so awesome; our waiter, Justin, was attentive and funny. He talked to us like we were one of his friends and we genuinely appreciated that. The other waitstaff was interactive with us as well and were just as witty. Though it was a slow Tuesday and was hoping of a bigger crowd, everything was sufficient! The food was great, the drinks were awesome. I truly hope to be back to visit!

The quality was that of a fast food restaurant but for the pricing of a fancy restaurant. One of the meals was the hot dog which was very overcooked, even completely burnt on one end. Had an awful and horrible Experience!!!! Went with my family to eat there we were all excited to eat there we drove 8 hours to see the sites and places . we don t know the rules exactly . They told us we couldn t come in with outside drinks (wich is understandable)so we told them we were going to stay outside we just wanted to eat !!! Upon arrival, there was a 10-15 minutes wait in line. The host directed us to the bar for seating, but there were no available seats. When I politely approached a server for assistance, they rudely dismissed my request. To be honest, I dont know about the food nor the service, but I can speak on the atmosphere, and the picture that Im attaching speaks for itself. The scenario, 5 year old kid with the urgency to go to the restroom. I understand the only customers rule, but cmon its a 5 year old, their bladder is not the same as an adult. Maybe the management didnt pass biology. This post will help the business reach more audience so the message on the poster spreads through the community. Response to the owners respond. Not a joke, the person outside finger pointed the sign when asked for the bathroom. And FYI Next door restaurant, when asked for the bathroom, didnt even let me finish the question and said, yes, go no problem!. Big difference!!!

We went for the happy hour and really enjoyed it! Our waitress was super funny. The only complaint we had was one of the hostess (girl with red hair) had a SUPER bad attitude. Clearly did not want to be there. Overall other than that we really enjoyed our drinks. We did not try any of the food.

Honestly, words can not describe how incredible this place was. The sirloin steak I had was cooked to perfection (medium rare for those who care), and my waitress Molly took care of me. I m not sure why there s bad reviews. We just left, my boyfriend got the wings and I got the fish and chips. SO DELICIOUS. Waiters ask you if they can be sarcastic and ask if you re older than a certain age to see you ll be able to handle their jokes. Such a funny place to go to. Definitely worth it.

First time there. Ordered pickle chips, wings, two sodas and two waters. Ate outside in front of hostess. The only thing that ever came was the wings. We never got anything else. At the end after the wings were eaten, the server finally came by and I asked again may I order drinks? Out came one water and one soda. Still never got our entire drink order or our pickle chips. It s cool to be funny, but the restaurant does lose money if you don t bring the whole order. You would have thought the hostess would notice we didn t have drinks.

Staff and service were absolutely wonderful. Our waitress Molly was amazing truly. The food though everything was beyond dry. Chicken wings, chicken strips, ribs, all dry we all left there still hungry. Very disappointing considering the price of the food. Cudos to the servers! Again they were AMAZING!

I had the unfortunate experience of eating at this place without knowing what the gimmick was. The website said waiters were gruff, not downright insulting. I will be the first to say that this isnt my type of restaurant, but I didnt feel insulted or mad at our waiter and experience, just very uncomfortable and out of place. I thought I could deal with the gimmick, but when our waiter slammed my fathers menu in front of his face and surprised him, and then proceeded to make those stupid hats directly on the table we were at for other guests, I couldnt take it anymore and left immediately. There was no fun verbal jabs or atmosphere, just downright awful service disguised as something else.

My daughter just graduated from Air Force Basic Training so we had an emotional few days in San Antonio. We were just cruising the river walk and Jermaine was hassling us about 30 minutes before Dick s opened. Just that brief interaction made us decide to go back for lunch and we requested him as our waiter. We had so much fun and Jermaine provided the laughter that we all needed. My first impression was very positive. An employee that was obviously on his break, took the time to show me way to get to the river level with my stroll. However, when I got to the restaurant and sit at an empty table, I was told that I couldnt sit there while I waited for my friend who was running late. Even though I planned on ordering a beverage and an appetizer. At first I thought it was just the waiters shtick, but soon realized he was serious. He said you cant be taking up one of my tables while waiting for a friend. So I left and went down the river to another restaurant that didnt seem to mind sitting a lone woman, even without knowing someone would be joining her. It was past 1 oclock and there was more than one table empty. Is it your policy not to serve solo customers?

The experience was 10/10!! Lindsay V. Was great! She kept us laughing the entire dinner! We had our 2 babies with our group and while waiting to be seated we got told this isn t the rainforest, take your kids somewhere else! I knew our experience would be great after that, LOL!! Fun place to visit with the family or friends. The concept of this particular spot is that you come here to be treated badly (in a fun way), they throw the menu to you, they make paper hats for everyone to use with funny phrases according to the age, etc... Food is a bit pricey but being right on the Riverwalk makes sense. Im glad they added a Vegan Burger!! It was not the best Ive tried but it was good tho, just make sure to skip the cheese (they might ask if you want cheese on it), other than that, there are a few other vegan options like green beans, french fries, etc... Its good to see that more restaurants are including vegan options on the menu.

Didn t realize what I was getting into today, I show up and get yelled at, menu threw at the table. Wanted to try the food but couldn t make it a couple minutes without panic attacks. As someone as mental illness, this set in an attack and I had to leave before I even ordered. Wont lie we waited more than 1 hour just because we need a little bit of space table for 7 adults who were deaf. T While we wait, we went to Fat Tuesday to grab some drinks and go back there and waits. Once finally we sit a good space table, we have an amazing waitress Alexa and the manager, who apologize for the delay and make sure we were okay. He made us laugh. Alexa tries to sign with us and is very patient with us. She took care of us and the foods was fast and we got good drinks. She learned more sign language. I her !
