Absolutely great. I get the chicken fried steak with a cheese enchilada on the side. Thats my go to order every single time and its top tier... their enchilada sauce is the best, their chicken fried steak is the best. A small local mom and pop restaurant that hasnt change since I was a toddler still is the best thing around... keep it up guys the food still has me craving it from time to time even after YEARS

Service was good because of the server, but the manager or person at front was really rude, he threw the pen at me to sign the receipt and just no not a good experience with him. Steak was not cooked to my liking but they fixed it, and it was good, beans were tasteless, tortillas were really good. Mixed feelings about this place.

The positive Google reviews are misleading. Parking is atrocious and the main entrance is difficult to discover. Even though the staff - when they got around to communicating with us - was kind of friendly, service was slow and terrible. The interior was garish, ugly and not inviting for a pleasant dining experience. The lunch special of crispy beef tacos was so late arriving that we were considering leaving to return to work on time, however when they arrived they were lousy. Specifically and without exaggeration - I can get better tacos at a Taco Bell, which is despicable for any Mexican restaurant. The only reason I did not rate this a rare 1 star is because the chips and salsa were exceptional. Vegetarian options: They also serve water and tortillas Parking: Awful

The place is close to Yes way gas station and surrounded by a couple of nextdoor small businesses.The restaurant is not big enough for people sometimes.Its hours are only daytime hours.The parking around it has very limited space due to the chadbourne street being in the front, so be careful crossing the busy street.You sometimes have to park across the street to park. Let me tell you though.At lunch time hours ,the little restaurant is over capacity and the people who manage the place are great.

I had a coworker ordering to-go from here and they asked me if I wanted anything. I never eat here so I quickly glanced at the menu and decided on Sour Cream Enchiladas. This place completely missed the mark on Sour Cream Enchiladas. They put cold sour cream on top of rolled enchiladas and melted cheese on top of that? Seriously!? Why would anyone melt cheese on top of cold sour cream? Anywhere else you go its a creamy white sauce made with sour cream.. Please rethink your sour cream enchiladas because I KNOW anyone who gets that dish in the future will be just as disappointed as I was.

Fernandez is a great local restaurant that has great daily specials. They have been family owned and operated for the last 55 years and you can taste that in everything from the Queso to the Fajitas! If you don t have the time to stop by get delivery through San Angelo To Go! I would recommend the the New Mexico Enchiladas! They are one of #thelocalguys!

I understand place gets busy but cant answer back to a a customer with a smart remark! I asked for a tamale plate because logically tameles should already be cooked...
