****Update to rating to respond to the owner: there is an asterisk, but on the website, at least on the mobile view, it only references dress code and refusing service. It doesnt say anything about closing early. You may have to update the site. Im only rating 1/5 as a default as I didnt get the opportunity to experience the establishment. The doors were locked tonight (9/4/2024). I got there about 10/10:15 pm and attempted to open the door, but it was locked. There was one person inside but otherwise locked up. If hours have changed, please amend your hours on Google and your website.

Yall had an off night last night, it s cool, even players mess up. Let s talk about it I love you guys fr, but please straighten out the disparity between what you charge and the menu price list.Additionally, this place holds special meaning for me as a collector because it offers RARE Whiskey options. Regarding the cocktails I m not a big fan but whiskey is where you shine, the atmosphere(super sexy and dimly lit) and the fact that its owned by POC make it worthwhile. Our server last night was friendly to me but strange to my companion, who chose a juice or soda instead of alcohol. In fact, thats why the server was weird lol I am at a loss for words when I say how embarrassed I felt for the server because it is obvious that she lacks self awareness. My companion was surprised by how she was treated but we handled your staff with grace when she was clearly having an off night. To conclude, kindly handle each and every paying client(even the ones that order juice) as though it were your first. That s how brands diversify and create a lifetime value in each client. Set your service game higher so people won t leave and go to your competitor. With the whiskey tastings and collection that includes Pappy, you have an incredible bar program! But just tweak the service and cocktails as they arent always consistent. Cheers

Mannnnnnnn, this spot is such a vibe. Take your friends, go by yourself, or with your lover, and ambiance will provide the fun. It s Black owned, dimly lit and intimate. The Whiskey selection is impeccable here and the crafty bartenders will assist or suggest a tasty choice for you to sip on while you sway to music playing. I will most definitely be bringing all my friends from out of town to this spot. It s such a Vibe. Parking: There is parking on the street, but that fills up fast, there is a parking lot a few steps down next to Sandaga.

The most gorgeous and sensory stimulating environment in Dallas, possibly the US. The cocktails have been painstakingly crafted with the highest quality ingredients, with a twist, each giving a nod to the local culture. The variety and breadth of brands and products is unheard of. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and friendly. The bar is a much needed gift and a jewel to the city . Vegetarian options: Theres a vegetarian version of the charcuterie Board available. Dietary restrictions: There is also a cows milk dairy-free version of the charcuterie board that uses goat milk based cheese.

I ve been to Whiskey s several times. I ve never been denied for my clothing. Tonight I had on dress pants and dress shoes with a sweater vest with no sleeves. The bouncer told me that I was not allowed to enter the premises because of my sleeveless sweater vest. I saw someone walk in right after me with jeans with holes in them and a hoodie. I think that is absolutely absurd. The dress code states that it s left to managements discretion about dress code however the bouncer would not allow me to speak to management. On the receiving end it was very discriminatory treatment and I hate that because I ve recommended this place to so many people but never again will I tell anyone to go to whiskeys or give them my money.

I was a 1st time attendee with my Soror on Friday evening (4/12/24) to Whiskeys. It was the worst experience of my life because the male waiter hustles patrons. Check this out: I ordered two total drinks called the Impeachment which by documentation cost $16 each. My Soror who was with me ordered a drink for $11.called The Texas Mule I asked to close my tab and pay because we were ready to go. The dark-skinned waiter delivered my tab electronically, but shoved the devise in my face. The tab was $59 and I looked at it confused, and said this can t be right, . He said that s with my tip included, and I replied, well show me the price without your tip included. He then snatched the device and removed $11 , and sought an authorization for $53.00 with a big attitude. Please keep in mind, He didnt provide me a coaster for my beverages or refill my glass with water my entire time while being there. His customer service was beyond a parent, and it made it difficult for me to have a relaxing time at whiskeys, therefore I didnt think he should have been given a tip. Why do my own Black people continually try to take advantage of other Black people? The next morning, I noticed that my bill was $53, which indicates that he overcharged me by $10. To make matters worst, he then charged me an additional $18 on my card today (Sunday)! Ive got all the paperwork, and Ive left a message asking them to get in touch with me so I can demand a refund. Furthermore, I have images to support what Ive said. It is unethical to lie directly to a consumer and then use that information to influence them because you believe they are inattentive or tipsy. This particular instance involves so many wrongs. That is absurd. I would never have allowed you to try to force me to tip you for overcharged beverages that (according to the menu prices) at $16 and $11. You overcharged me $10.00 and then awaited my departure from the institution before charging my card $18.25 for my will!!! You will NOT GET away with breaking the law because Im going to sue Whiskeys for their dishonest practices to make sure you don t do anyone else like this again. I am demanding the owner to reimburse me for both the $53 that I paid and the $18.40 that was wrongfully charged to my Credit Union of Texas account on Sunday, April 14, 24. I did not request a different drink, and you did not have the right to charge me an extra $18.40. I would have left you a gratuity if I had wanted to. I will never ask or recommend going to whiskeys since I think it is dishonest and they must be really desperate for cash to treat their patrons this way. If you go, make sure you only bring cash and never, ever give them permission to use your credit card. Why do my own Black people continually try to take advantage of other Black people?

Came in for a birthday drink. While the doorman was nice, the sever ignored me even though I was seated next to a group who she stopped by to serve more than once. Then when I went to the bar I was told I wasn t being ignored by the bartender just that since I wasn t seated she couldn t take my drink order. I explained that when I was seated I was ignored so I no longer was interested in spending my money in the establishment. Rude for no reason. The manager who wears a red hat with the big D on it is exceptionally rude. I would never spend my money in this establishment just based on her complete lack of professionalism when I tried to explain the situation, especially after I saw that people who came in after me were serviced immediately and not ignored, and sat in the same section that I did, and was ignored in the best she could do the manager that is is tell me that oh, I guess I just came in there to complain, and Wanted to know when I was died because she was continuing to try to talk for me as opposed to actually hear what my issue was do not waste your money.

This bar is a true gem in Dallas. The whiskey selection offered here is top notch and the prices are fair for higher end whiskeys. In addition to the wonderful offerings all of the bartenders had extensive knowledge on whiskey and bourbon which made for great conversation. Great ambiance, drinks, and play list. We went December 8, 2022. There was great service until one server (male) was fraternizing with friends/regulars instead of helping the other female server who was running back and fourth. I watched him be extremely rude to a beautiful lady when she asked about locating a server. He told her I didnt take your order so I dont KNOW! Then acted as if she did not speak english. What he did not know was this woman is an important healthcare advocate in the community. She dealt with him in a classy way but we left after that. That behavior was beyond tacky. The male server had a hat on medium length locs and was serving shots to a few large groups. The shots were delicious.

#BlackOwned This is such a cute and quaint whiskey bar in Dallas. It s located near the TX fairgrounds. I loved the decor the and smallness of this bar. The bartenders were great, as were the drinks. I ordered the peanut butter cup drink and it was EVERYTHING. It tasted just like a peanut butter cup. The happy hour drinks are $7 and they have a decent list. The only downfall is, I wish they had more food options, I think they currently offer 1 item. I ll definitely be back.

I really enjoyed the bartenders, the security guy, and the service. They have great options and of course educate you on what they are serving. The place has a nice vibe, dim lighting and good sounds, and is well put together. You can tell the owner was intentional. Unfortunately my rating isn t 5 stars because one of the employees (a male with locs) seems to be anti-black and classists all while working in a Black owned establishment in a Black community. My time was great until he came along. And I really hope he finds another place of employment soon or get some healing. That type of bar deserves someone with pride and esteem for all Black people. Besides that I highly recommend the place, very nice to visit after work, for a pre game, or for a first date.

Checked this place out on a Friday evening and was quite impressed. The space is beautiful, sleek, modern and sexy. Drinks were flowing expertly and my Old Fashioned was the best Ive had in my short tenure in Dallas so far. I was saddened to learn that 1 of their bartenders was unfortunately hit by a car the day before and I hope he recovers. That being said, I wouldve never know they were short staffed if not informed by the owner, who was behind the bar getting things done! Kudos to both him and his awesome staff for a job well done. This place is world class and Ill be back. Shawn, you still owe me a walk down to Sandega lol

Like Wiskey and Whisky? , this is the place. Chris is the master mixer/artist and Whiskey aficionado. Smoked Old Fashion was perfection. Had the Michter s BS Rye, very enjoyable recommendation. Owner is there to make your experience unique. Very attentive.

Its sad we went to support our people and was turned away at the door for minor stomach showing and talked to as if we were naked. Went to the Mexican restaurant around the corner and was welcomed with opened arms and a shot. I hate we do this to each especially when try to support.

Service, amazing. Drinks, delicious. Atmosphere, sexy! I highly recommend Whiskeys!! They aren t cheap, but it s worth it!! They have a great happy hour, however they fill up quickly. Everyone that works at Whiskeys was sooo friendly! Also they do not serve food, but you can walk to eateries around the corner. I highly recommend whiskeys for a great cocktail experience!!!!

Ordered a flight to try something new, and I enjoyed it. I was there with a group. We all had a great time. One of the owners (Mr. Salt and Pepper hair) was soooo nice and welcoming. He made sure everyone was good. He made sure we had a place to sit, even though there were a lot of people already in there. Eric the bouncer/door person was so kind and sweet. If youre in the mood for a nice spot to drink some whiskeys! I will be back.

I don t know how they knew that I m obsessed with gingerbread right now but they actually had a gingerbread old fashioned and it was perfect. I found a hidden gem! I entered a dimly lit bar with intimate seating, neo music played loud enough to hear it, but not drown out your conversation. The bar tenders were both witty and knowledgeable and provided great service. Lastly, their selection was great as they had many hard to find bottles. The pricing was reasonable as well.

Whiskeys is the best bourbon bar in proper Dallas. The selection and prices are unbeatable. The service is great and the cocktails are tasty too! They have flights too. This is easily one of my favorite go to bars in the city.
