It was a great restaurant. I loved how they make the guacamole in front of you! However I ordered the Chili Limon Salmon and it came out very dry with no taste. After I told my waitress, there was no action done about the meal. It was very disappointing coming from a restaurant with so much potential.

We ve visited Cielo TX twice, and while the atmosphere and service are pleasant, the food has left us underwhelmed. They seem to aim for an elevated flavor profile, but it feels like its done on the cheap. For example, I ordered the chorizo burger, expecting a blend of hamburger and chorizo, but what I got was a basic frozen patty with a bit of chorizo on top. It wasn t terrible, but given the price, it didn t feel worth it. Cielo TX isn t a bad option if you re in the area, but the food doesn t live up to the expectations set by the atmosphere or the price point. It s not something I d go out of my way for again.

Came here on a date, the parking lot is great and there is plenty of space to park. We walked in and were greeted and sat immediately. The place was pretty full, lots of booths and tables. After we were seated the server brought us chips and salsa plus we ordered the queso which was delicious. The server was quick to take our drink order and even quicker to bring our drinks out. They offer soda and a great selection of alcohol and mixed drinks. I ordered the fish tacos and my wife the chimichanga both of which tasted phenomenal. They both came with black refried beans and Mexican rice which tasted amazing. Overall great service and great food will definitely be back.

Really nice place to eat and get drinks. Lots of room and fantastic service. I am also hard to please so when I say service is good it actually is. Anna is one of the very sweet ladies who makes guacamole in front of you and she will make it exactly how you tell her to, then she will wait until you taste it to make sure it is perfect. I have been here enough to try most of the menu and so far everything has been really good with a few exceptions. The calamari fell way short compared to their other dishes. Also anything with chicken was not great, sometimes not even good. Everything else was amazing and I will continue to go here for all of those items. Five star items: guacamole, enchiladas, salmon, beef or pork fajitas, rice, chile rellenos, the green verde salsa, carnitas tacos, and all drinks. Their California burrito is also five stars but its very Tex-Mex, however, I like that. My father lived in Mexico for years and the tamales served here were done correctly however they had chicken in them but still the right taste just not a fan of their chicken. Im going to ask for beef next time and I am sure, they will be perfect. Other Mexican restaurants in town that I like are Armentas and Cielos flavor is different but just as good in many ways. However, Cielo s service and space is much better. Kid-friendliness: My daughters are picky eaters and the cheese dip they like, not much else. Wheelchair accessibility: Lots of space inside, plenty of room for anyone!

Evidently you are only welcome here if you look a certain way. I ll be sure not to come back, don t want to mess up your aesthetic. Didn t even bother giving me a glass of water. I went my entire meal with no drink because when I asked about a drink special my server just said she didn t know. And then, didn t even offer water. Then when I was waiting WITH the drink menu open, she brought my bill. Then a second person brought my bill, so I ordered a drink with someone I know at another table. And instead of bringing the drink, they came by to verify my order with my bill in hand and argued about me taking it to go I said I did not because I was waiting for someone. Yet still I was brought my drink to go, and even charged a to go fee. You simply and clearly did not want me there. And by the looks of it, you didn t want anyone there who looked like me.

Food was ok, nothing to write home about. Ordered chicken enchiladas, the server said it was a cheese enchilada with chicken on top. There was no cheese in the enchilada and the chicken was inside. The chicken was really dry. The enchilada was more like a taquito but not as good. The sauce was a green sauce that was inside the enchilada. Overall it was pretty dry.

Wish I would have tried the food but if it is as good as the drinks I m stoked. 9:55 they not only made us a very difficult and time consuming drink but they did it happily and even offered us chips and salsa along with any appetizers we would want. Weve been coming here every Cinco de Mayo since they open, except during covid. Still have my Cielo shirt they were giving out that day. I really like coming here. Its one of my Favorite places to eat at. Parking: Cars, trucks, trucks with trailers. Plenty of space along the side of the restaurant. Wheelchair accessibility: The ramp into the place is easy to access. Table are high enough for wheelchair.

I ordered door dash and everything was made just fine but the dip was full of meat and a drop of cheese dip. I called to ask what can we do about it. she stated I had to bring it up to the restaurant for them to look at it and check with who ever bagged my order up. I paid for door dash for a reason. I shouldn t have to take it back up and there and see who made it just to get some more.

First time experiencing this establishment. We met some friends here for dinner Friday night. The place was almost empty. My wife and I ordered drinks, and it took them almost 30 minutes to get us our drinks. Then we ordered our food. The table side guacamole was decent, and the chips at least werent stale. The food was most definitely sub-par. Enchiladas, mole, fajitas, beans, and tacos all were very bland and almost tasteless. The only thing that had any real taste to it was the Spanish rice. Another disappointing restaurant and one Id recommend not visiting. The lack of a crowd on a Friday night should have been enough of a clue.

Came down from Texarkanato visit friends and they suggested this place and it was excellent! Chips and salsa are hard to stop eating. I went to the bar to order a margarita. When I sat down, it was very slow. I was shocked to see the bartender perform the following food service violations: The margarita mix containers were nearly empty, with just 5% of the mix left. He went to the handwashing station, where it states non potable water and filled up 5 near empty margarita mix containers with non potable water from the handwashing station. Not only did he dilute the margarita mix down by 90%, he used non potable water to do so! The mix looked a very pale yellow afterwards. I questioned him about it and he got very defensive. Needless to say, I left immediately. I will be reporting this to the city of San Angelo as well as a food violation.

We are visiting San Angelo for the eclipse. And were super excited to find a fantastic Mexican restaurant for dinner. The margaritas were excellent and well priced the salsa had a good level heat. The fajitas we ordered were some of the best we have had in a restaurant. We also had the pollo poblano and every bite was fantastic. The burrito was not the type you could pick up and eat but it was still very good.

When I want reliably delicious food in San Angelo, Cielo is my top pick. I havent ordered anything I havent liked yet. My favorite dish is the Bollywood Burrito - its by and far the best vegetarian dish Ive had in San Angelo. I also adore their flan. Its smooth and creamy, and the berry compote adds a little zing to balance out the sweetness. I usually order takeout and they package everything well - it survives the ride home just fine. Vegetarian options: The Bollywood Burrito has great flavors and textures, and its very filling.

The Mocajete was disappointing with over cooked meat and nopalitos that tasted pickled (like a cooked cup of La Costena). The tostados were mixed and stale and the tortillas were cold and crumbly. I ordered flour tortillas and surprise! got whatever the cook wanted to throw on the plate. No thank you. Good luck.

My experience started off with being ignored by the hostess until I said something. I then got seated in the back by the bar which is no big deal except that I was the only one back there and it s where the employees were going to take their breaks. Not a big deal but it made me feel as if I invading their space. It was also a lot hotter back there than in the main dining room. Also being seated back there it seemed as if they forgot about me, I waited 10 minutes before finally flagging someone down to take my order. This would be totally understandable if they were busy but they were not at all. I waited another 20 minutes for my food to come out and it was not what I ordered. Again not a huge deal but on top of already waiting for a while it was a bit frustrating. Once I finally got my correct order I will say the tacos were fantastic, but at no point did anyone come by to see if I needed anything or to refill my drink. I had sat there again for another 15 minutes when I was done eating before I had to flag someone down to get my check. To top this off the chips were very stale. I will say that the prices are fair and the food was good but the service was lacking. There are much better Mexican restaurants with better service that I will be going to instead of here.

Always a good experience when going here. The staff is very helpful and kind, the food is amazing (I personally love their beans), and we never wait longer than we need to. On a slow day, weve gotten our food faster than fast food, and still high quality.

This has to be the worst Mexican food Ive eaten here in town. Loved the presentation but wish it tasted as good as it looked. The beans were served cold and had a very sour taste to them, the rice tasted like it came from a box, the Baja Fish tacos were dry, rubbery and flavorless. I felt sick after 2 bites. My husbands food was just as bad. His beans were sour and cold, and his steak was way over done. The salsa taste like tomato sauce. Friendly waiter but he didnt come around unless he saw us waving him down. We went at a slow time. There were only a total of 2 parties of two.

Food is still fantastic but service was meh. We were a large party and it was disappointing to have the server say he got some of checks wrong but 80% of then should be right. More than that were right but he charged a few of the checks with the wrong cards.

I am 100% English speaking, and my waiter was 100% Spanish speaking. So there was a language barrier. One thing I did like, was that fresh guacamole made at the table side.

We went to celebrate a special moment when we got there we ordered guacamole and queso, queso I asked for it to be warmed because it was luke warm we placed our order while waiting on quest and guacamole. Not even 7 min in the food comes out literally blew my mind even before the queso and guacamole got there. The food was cold even the steak rice everything literally was cold. Only thing hot was the plates. The lady showed up to make the guacamole and I had said nevermind the food is here after the food came out then comes the queso....for the stale chips. Not a fan of the night at Cielo we did not stay to eat.
