Hands down some of the best homemade chocolates I have had! You can smell the chocolate outside of the shop. Charlie is always nice when we visit. You can select from a variety of pre-packaged boxes of chocolates or you can pick and choose your own. If you love lemon you should try the Yellow Rose. My favorites are their Wild Strawberry truffle, Tumbleweeds, I believe its seasonal but the Caramel Pecan. SOMETIMES, Charlie will bring in some local Cactus honey that he collects from his own bee hives. They also sell a chocolate orange brittle, popcorn, cotton candy, river rocks, chocolate covered gummy bears and a few others things. Out of town because you moved or want to send someone chocolates? They will ship their chocolates (as long as it isnt record breaking temperatures)

The most delicious chocolate with a huge selection to choose from. The shop is adorable!!! One can really tell how much thought and care goes into this. That s the kind of shop we keep going back to again and again!!!! We loved all the coconut flavored chocolate we got, as well as the Texas shaped chocolates. Bought some as a gift to take to family.

I have to pay shipping to eat these but its so worth it. Considering a multi-hour road trip so I can visit the shop myself. All other chocolate assortments are ruined for me now. This is a gorgeous little shop with an excellent selection of chocolates. You can purchase by individual piece from the extensive display case, or boxed assortments of their various tasty confections. I havent tried my chocolates yet, but the squittle is delicious, and my son devoured the giant chocolate covered marshmallow I picked up for him.

If they only had one chocolate left in the store before they would be out forever, I would fight you for them.

Had just got back from a vacation to Fredricksburg and went to some great chocolate places so when I got home I really wanted something similar and did not think San Angelo would have something this good. What s so sad is I ve known it s been here and haven t been before! My whole family will definitely be coming in a lot!! Y all s chocolates were amazing. There were so many flavors !! The vanilla bean bee one was my favorite and I also loved the birthday cake and the Irish cream painting series . My husband loved the blueberry lemon . The lady who helped us was also very knowledgeable about what y all had and the store was super clean!! So impressed thank y all so much ! So glad I can have good quality chocolates at home

We visited Cowboy Up Chocolates after living in San Angelo for a few months and were immediately hooked. I didn t even like chocolate that much until I tried this place! It truly is gourmet chocolates. They always have a large variety to choose from and sometimes they even have new seasonal flavors. The store is always very clean and has such a beautiful mural inside. We met the owner from the first time coming in and he was so nice and friendly, it made you want to come back in just to say hi! You can tell he truly enjoys what he does and cares about his customers. My husband and I unfortunately had to move out of state, but we will definitely be ordering from their website when the weather gets cooler! (The bourbon pecan chocolate bars are my personal fav and definitely had to stock up on some of those before we moved!)

Wife and I were exploring downtown when we found Cowboy-up. The Amaretto by morning toffee is insane, Ive never experienced chocolate like this. Then to add a big Pinot Noir to it well set you on a new addiction. Not to downplay the Bourbon Pecan Brittle, also delicious but the Amaretto by morning toffee is in its own league. As you can tell Im stretching it. Nibble, sip,nibble,sip,nibble,sip. Its so G O O D!

Got some Texas truffles for Christmas with a warning that the chipotle might be spicy. I avoided those but was assaulted by hot peppers in another flavor. Truly horrible experience. What sort of monster hides hot peppers in chocolate?

I found out about this place from an article in Texas Highways Magazine. I called to check the status of a delivery Id ordered. The gentleman that I spoke with was very friendly and helped me determine my expected delivery date. I ordered the Texas-shaped chocolates as a gift, and I ordered some pecan clusters and squittle for myself. The clusters were ok; the nice thing is there were fresh pecans in every bite. The squittle was great! Again, fresh pecans throughout...I loved it. May try other items if I have a large order again, not worth the shipping cost otherwise.

Just passing thru, looking for pecans and happened onto this shop. Way too many wonderful choices, only a few of which featured pecans, but we bought some chocolate goodies anyway. The Texas Truffles (shown here as the Texas Letter) and the chocolate-covered pecans were SO scrumptious! The hostess/owner was very nice and accommodating, even knowing that we werent going to spend a lot here. Worth looking up.

Customer service is worth more than 5 stars and the CHOCOLATE! My word, I dont think Ive had one I havent liked yet! They are a favorite for gifts (giving and receiving!) and because I live 2.5 hours away, I have to ask that they be shipped. They are packed well and delivered promptly so thats a big plus! Seriously, these are the BEST chocolates Ive ever had and Im a big chocolate fanatic :) The low star rating below: I agree with the gentleman who said she cold have asked if they were milk chocolate or dark chocolate truffles. Guarantee there would have been no disappointment. From truffles, to candy bars, to squittle (peanut brittle with bacon), to tumbleweeds, and assorted other chocolates, they are all delicious and I have no problem saying Im now a loyal customer haha! Im even about to order several boxes to put in Valentines gift baskets.

If you love chocolate, you must go there, a selection of truffles with different flavors, making really difficult your choice. Chocolate bars, almonds with different flavors and natural honey. I was personally served for the owner, he was courteous and served same samples for me. It was a great experience. I enjoyed so much. So you must stop there. Its a small store, but has plenty of choices. Deserved ten stars.

My moms friend and I were wanting something sweet and no bakeries happened to be opened on Monday in San Angelo. I googled bakeries open on Monday and I think Cowboy-Up Chocolates was the first thing to show up on my recommended. So we went and so glad we did. We told him it was our first time there and he gave us a few samples to try out. We have never felt so comfortable with someone willing to give us free samples and also educate us a little on chocolate. The chocolate was splendid, the strawberry truffle was so unique I couldnt believe it. And I think everything is at a good price considering it is handmade gourmet chocolates. We loved it and hope to be back again for more!

The gentleman proprietor, James, is a real chocolatier and confectioner! As soon as you enter, the chocolate kitchen is apparent and the aroma of a real confectionary fills you with joy. Worth seeking out in the College Hills area. This shop might have a small store front but don t let that fool you- the chocolates are amazing and everything offered has a genuine Texas twist! The owner is a friendly gentleman who does great work. He will guide you through the different varieties he has and will give a sample if asked. As for the one star he has in his Google review, dont listen to that person. Just read it to see the person could have asked what type it was. Not happy with my purchase! Spent $70 on chocolates and I do NOT like dark chocolate and the box of truffles all had dark chocolate and the chocolate cashews had some as well. Place is small and not a big variety of chocolates. Will not be coming back! Waste of money.

What a pleasant visit. James is awesome, he has a great since of humor and loves what he does. I buy the candy bars because I like small quantities of chocolate so I dont overindulge. Unfortunately, the selection is slimmer. Mentioned to him about selling by the each and I would be in more often! The de leche, both pecan and almond are amazing. Highly recommended.

These locally made chocolates are delicious. I bought some pecan prailines, Almonds de Leche, and candy bars. The bars each individual had bacon, peach, and chili flavors. What a treat! The prices are a little high but everything is prepared on site in the city of San Angelo.
