Weve been coming here for years, and loved it every time. We miss not being able to stay above the restaurant, but we definitely understand fire code. If I had any complaints, it would be that it would be nice to have more water pressure in the shower. FWIW, the restaurant is amazing, the rooms are very clean, and theyre all unique. One of our favorite places to stay, and the people are very friendly and helpful.

This place is so charming and eclectic! The room was beautiful and very nicely appointed. The grounds and the property are full of life and art as we had access to all of the many art galleries and retailers on the premises. The owners were friendly and responsive. I cant recommend this inn enough. We were in town to visit our son and needed a place with enough room not only for sleeping but for hanging out together in. The Inn at the Art Center really exceeded our expectations. Thank you so much!

This is a hidden gem in an eclectic artist colony. The rooms were top notch. Check-in is a little quirky with a hostess meeting you and escorting you to your room. Payment was with Square. I would return if I am in the area.

We stayed in the Country French room. Sweet and unique room in this compound of chicken farm and art studios. I havent seen or heard any chickens , might just be in the name. An art festival is going on this weekend, along with live music. The little shop pictures are from The Gypsy Moon , a shop on the premises.

Staying here has been on my bucket list and the actual experience surpassed all expectations. Susan and Jerry made us feel right at home from the moment we pulled up. The themed rooms were perfectly on point. Just the right touches in the French room, and the bed was just right-slept like a French bébé. (I peeked in the Santa Fe room my sister and mom were in as well...the shower was incredible.) You really cant beat the Chicken Farm for atmosphere. Also the folks at the Chicken Farm are gems... its a truly special place. Thankful for the west Texas welcome. Thankful places like this exist.

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Country French Room for our fourth year anniversary. Everything in the room was amazing. Very rustic and antique and the picnic and the studios were delightful to even just walk around. The showerhead was on backwards but that didnt really matter. What Im a little dissapointed about was the breakfast nook. Very homey, yes but.. barely any real food. There were some fruits, yogurt and dry things but the microwave didnt work and, well I just expected a little more from a bed and breakfast. Maybe it just wasnt a good day, but nevertheless. Very nice bed, not so much breakfast.

Didnt even get the opportunity to stay here, they wont allow kids because they have artwork and decorations, I have one daughter thats 2_1/2, yes I understand kids can be crazy but seriously!!!????!!!! Even if we had a weekend without the kiddo and were going to get paid to stay here I would not for that simple fact! Gotta be a sad life not to like kids

It is hard to put into words the experience of staying here. We are immersed in a community of open and accepting artists of every kind. The rooms are artistic and beautiful - this place used to be an old chicken farm and has been transformed not just into lodging but an experience. Theres a tasty place to eat dinner on the weekends at the Silo House - little Mexican Food restaurant - and much to explore.

Super flexible, communicative, and kind hosts; quirky-cute room with a FANTASTIC walk-in shower; coffee in the room but also access to a homey communal kitchen for snacks, treats, and breakfast on the go... all set in a sweet little artists collective that I wish we d had time to explore. Highly recommend, and if I ever pass through San Angelo again, I ll *definitely* be staying here again!

We got to the Inn later than we planned and missed the festivities of First Saturday Art Fest, but we will definitely return when we can enjoy the courtyard surrounded by art studios. The area has a wonderful atmosphere reminiscent of some B&Bs in Santa Fe. Our room was cute and comfy with our own private bathroom and shower. The communal kitchen right next door had wine glasses, tea, coffee, yogurt, juice, and freshly made muffins.

Stayed in the Santa Fe room, it was clean and cozy and had the best shower ever. Susan was accommodating and kind. We enjoyed the baked goods put out for breakfast, as well as touring the art studios early in the day. Great place to stay if youre looking for something a little quirky.

This place is unlike any other--in the best possible way! We stayed in the adorable silo room above the restaurant, and spent the afternoon wandering around the complex watching the artists at work. Bought some beautiful horsehair pottery and a fun mug with a face. When we had a situation arise in the middle of the night (nothing to do with the room), the caretakers responded immediately and took great care of us. Highly recommend!

We had a great stay in the Artists Loft at the Inn at the Art Center. The room was cozy and clean, and the hosts were very welcoming. The room is located above a restaurant, but very quiet at night. Thanks for a great stay!
