Been supporting and dining at this local restaurant for years. No more, I will drive a little further to get this food. Other restaurants are more accommodating and do not have such strict rules substituting or upgrading as long as you pay the difference. Not here unfortunately.

Gross salad that was absolutely drenched in a mystery dressing. Served luke warm mushroom and miso soup. Ordered hibachi chicken and was beyond disappointed. Dry, bland and chewy, fried rice for 3 dollars which is an outrageous amount for an up charge of rice. Veggies that came with it were the only redeeming thing on this dish. Will never be back. Panda Express is a better choice. There s a reason why my girlfriend and I were the only people in here.

First time here. There was no wait & the host was gracious. Our waitress was patient & knowledgeable. Our food came within 20 minutes. It was delicious. The dine in area was a bit too dark for me but I managed to read the menu without any issues. I would definitely go back.

I use to really like this place but it has gone down hill for a while now. I can tell there s new waitresses and we felt the pressure of rushing to order and eat. My husband and I wanted to try something different and as we are going through the menu, they kept asking us what we wanted to order. We were not even half way through our dinner and they already had a check on our table. My husband and I just looked at each other confused. Additionally, as we were still eating, they gave us a to go box and tried to pick up the check. I told the lady Umm, we are still eating and she just said okay. Shortly after another lady tried to pick up the check. I was so annoyed 1/2 through dinner that I couldn t even ask for a refill on my soda, or even add on a dessert.

Took my mother here for lunch and we both got the Sushi and sashimi lunch special. It was about $19 per plate. The presentation was so beautiful and the taste and freshness was excellent. The sushi was perfectly sized, sushi rice was nice and fluffy and seasoned just right. My mother ate all of her plate and 3 pieces of my sashimi! Lunch special also came with a salad (w/yummy dressing) and miso soup. Very good quality sushi around this area

Always a great time here. The service is always great and we can almost always get items that are harder to find at a lot of sushi restaurants like Uni, Toro, and Salmon Belly. When I finished my meal and went to use the napkin my napkin smelled like nothing but saliva (NOT MINE) I then grabbed my childrens napkins and the same thing. BEYOND DISGUSTED!!!! Very disappointed. Had been going for the last year but it has gradually gone downhill. We kept coming back thinking it might have just been a bad day or two but it only got worse. The sushi became less flavorful. The sushi chefs are completely unengaged when sitting at the sushi bar, almost like youre an announce. The waitress appeared to have forgotten us. The other people sitting at the sushi bar felt the same way on several occasions. For the money spent, Ill be going somewhere else that appreciates our patronage and food quality is a little more up to par. The times we went to the hibachi was nice (still so-so sushi)

This place seems to have really gone downhill. Weve been coming here from time to time for 3 years, but tonight when we came for my sisters birthday, the whole experience was terrible. If you have Hibachi, you have the option to have either fried rice, steamed rice, or noodles. When ordering, my brother-in-law and sister ordered a hibachi meal with double fried rice instead of/no veggies; no problem. But when I ordered my Hibachi, I wanted double noodles instead of veggies/no veggies at all and my sister-in-law wanted the same but with steamed rice, and our server flat out said no, that we couldnt do that and that it automatically came with veggies and we couldnt substitute it with double noodles/steamed rice. So someone can order Hibachi with double fried rice as a substitute for no veggies, but they cant do that with steamed rice or noodles? That makes zero sense! And even though she was smiling the whole time, you could tell her demeanor was very smug. And then when our chef came to our table to cook our food, we made some friendly chitchat with him and asked how long he has been doing Hibachi cooking. He said 2 days and he straight up admitted to us that he didnt like his job and didnt want to be there. He also cooked our food very quickly and left the table like he was rushing to be out of there, he didnt put on a performance for us or nothing, very obvious that we were inconveniencing him; fastest hibachi service Ive ever had in my life for the wrong reasons. Our food tonight was also not too great, it was so dry and stale tasting. We were so appalled that our meal, plus an automatic $43 tip, the ticket was almost $300! After that appalling experience with the combination of the sky high prices now on their menu, its no wonder why there was hardly anybody dining in the place, especially at 5 p.m. in the evening. If this place is being run like this now, theyre gonna end up putting themselves out of business. I dont know if this place brought in new management or if they had an ownership change, but we will not be coming back here ever again. Better off eating at Arbys for our birthdays

Came here with my coworker for lunch and despite sitting down for the hibachi experience it was fairly quick which is good for a business lunch! The customer service from the waitress was spot on and efficient. I ordered the hibachi scallops and chicken which came with miso soup, house salad (ginger dressing), and fried rice (an upcharge). The meal was delicious and cooked nicely. The Chef made the meal fun although it was only 4 of us. I also ordered the spicy tuna rolls and enjoyed them. If in the area, I would definitely return to try out the other hibachi meats and sushi!

Japanese food at its best. This gem is located in an end cap shopping center space in Sachse. I m a fan of Benihana restaurants. This restaurant is of the same genre. Food , atmosphere, and presentation do not take a backseat in this category. The hibachi chef performs awesome feats of utensil handling. Sitting in a horseshoe around the grill is exhilarating. Everything on the menu, and I mean everything , is delicious. The shrimp Tempura appetizer is a must. The meals for one and two are good choices to sample different offerings. Sushi is in a class all by itself. The authentic furnishings and decorations make for a Japanese dining experience. Give this restaurant a try and you will agree with my assessment.

The family had lost two of their cubs to a church retreat so we decided to take the little monkey to a Hibachi experience. Mind you he is four and his five star meal is a Happy Meal plus the last time me and my wife ate there, the customer service was horrible since the moment we stepped in the establishment. Due to the price and prior experience, I didnt want to go, but why not? My little rhino might like it. We walked in and the yound lady was very nice and seated us at the grill. Our server arrived quickly and took our drink orders while providing us with the opportunity to order appetizers. We quickly we knew the little monkey was NOT entertained with the clinging and fire all over. Wife ordered dragon roll and chicken hibachi. I took the steak and chicken hibachi and monkey took the culinary route of chicken nuggets. I was ready for the show and had my credit card credit increased just incase. We were served salad and soup (warm). The roll arrived first then the show. The young man did the cling and clang on the grill. He did the sake volcano and threw broccoli at us like seals at Sea World. At this point, monkey was traumatized by all the fire, we were happy he stayed glued to the iPad. The rolls we ordered as appetizers were good but small. The Hibachi was warm and really no seasoning that made the meal stand out. Well the nuggest must have been brought in from France because monkey ate them up. This was a $105 meal for 3 and water. Its ok to have and happy the bad attitude wasnt there anymore. If you want the show and know the price, go enjoy.

Our family went there on Saturday 11/11/2023 at noon time. The experience was bad . We felt alienated. The sever acted as if she didnt wanted to explain the menu items to my family. If you order a item. And dont like it. She told us we still have to pay even if we dont eat it. Well I did get upset. She messed my husbands order up. I ask her to call the police because I was about to. Then she decides to take to of the entrees off our bill. We are in the United States Of America. Since when do we pay for food that is not exceptable. Ask your customers what can you do to make it better for their experience. Note: Dont order any food on the menu unless you are prepared to pay for it. Regardless of how it turns out. We will never go to this place again. Hurry and buy and get out. Dinner out with friends, and this turned out to be a great choice of location! It was easy to get to, plenty of parking, the food presentation was a visual feast, and the taste? OMG! Amazing! The picture attached is of a friends meal...the arrangement had a bit of dried ice in the holder and was brought to the table wafting fog! I enjoyed some of the BEST tempura shrimp and vegetables, while others at the table tried out Bento boxes, various types/kinds of sushi, and Ramen. Next time well try a hibachi meal, but their kitchen meals were more than enough to assure a next time!!

A little pricey since replenishment of the trays is very tightly metered. Not very attentive to dietary requests on carry-out orders. Dont quite understand the logic in annoying customers after they reach home to discover the mistakes. Why not have somebody check the orders before packing em? Even fast food joints do that routinely. Nothing special about the menu items when compared to local alternatives unless the dine-in experience is a criterion. Service is on the poor side owing miserly management practices. Presumably keeping the teppanyaki patrons happy is a more profitable endeavor than serving diners in the hall. After all we plebs dont run up higher tickets than the groups squeezed around the teppan.

Me and my mother in law and my son came to eat at 2pm. Their online site says they close at 3pm. Upon sitting we were greeted and then told we had 7 mins to order because 2:15 was last call. We had to hurry abs order. Our food came out 5 mins later. So very luke warm and when asked why our rice was hard the waitress said because they do not make fresh food before closing so we had to get what was left. Are you serious it s rice!!! They were only closed for an hour in between. Sooo when is fresh food cooked?! Also told us they needed to lock their doors. So kicked us out by 2:35 so we paid $60 for a 30 min lunch that was thrown to us. It s getting very ridiculous the way the service is getting here. We are regulars here. We ve had 4 birthday dinners here with 20+ ppl and we come on any given day for dinner or lunch. We ve decided to not ever return after today. It s not worth the service but cost is high and food quantity gets smaller and smaller. Osaka be a professional business and update your online hours so you don t constantly have customers walking in at 2 because your google site says 3pm. Osaka where did I state it was buffet style. Your hours don t reflect what you say when you walk in. And again, none of this matters that your staff was rude and short about the visit.

We stopped by here for hibachi lunch and we are so glad that we did! The food is so delicious and flavorful - everything was seasoned perfectly. Honestly, this is the best hibachi I have ever had. I initially tried to order through a delivery app and it said Osaka was unavailable. I called the hostess and was immediately met with an abrasive tone by the girl who answered. She said that delivery apps were unavailable tonight so I said okay no problem and ended the phone call respectfully. Later in the evening we decided to order pickup directly and the same girl answered, again with an abrasive tone. We wrote it off and just thought she was busy. When we arrived in person to pick up the order, the same girl met me with a very rude attitude. She hardly acknowledged us and walked off rudely in the middle of our conversation about our pickup order. It wasn t until a different girl walked up that we were actually helped, and she was very kind. She wasn t the main girl working the host stand, she just saw that we weren t being treated very kindly. I am very disappointed by the girl who was answering the phones and greeted us on arrival. She does not represent your brand well and makes me not want to return. I am unsure if we will be revisiting Osaka based on this experience.

I treated my husband out for his first hibachi experience and since it was his first, I wanted it to be amazing but it was far from it. The chef that we had was an old man and he didnt do any tricks at all! I never been to a hibachi show where the cook didnt do anything. Whats the point of doing hibachi then? We couldve just went to the restaurant side and ordered the hibachi food. To make things worse, the food was just okay, too salty. Everything besides the vegetables were over salted. I was very disappointed with this restaurant. They need to make things right by offering a do-over for the hibachi show at least.

I hate that I m even writing this review, but I have never been disrespected in public before until now. We have enjoyed our previous outings here, but our latest visit threw us off guard and we now feel uncomfortable paying a visit again. At first, everything about our outing was nice. The hostess who seated us was sweet, our waitress was super attentive and friendly, and our food was served in a timely manner. Unfortunately, all of this was overshadowed by another hostess actions. My partner and I were preparing to leave when this girl started accusing me of being some other regular who previously caused problems. We did not provoke her nor did we acknowledge she was passing by before she decided to embarrass us. She confronted me without any kind of proof to back her ridiculous claim up. Once the hostess realized I had no clue what she was referring to, she backtracked, mentioned she had mistaken me for someone else (no clue why she would go out of her way to come at me when I was clearly minding my business), and quickly retreated. I didn t know accusing random customers of issues she s not paid enough to deal with is included in her job description. What kind of business allows such a confrontational person to continue working for them? I ve called and asked for management to discuss this matter, but I honestly believe one of the ladies at the hostess stand passed off as the manager with how quickly we re talking 5 seconds tops they were able to get ahold of them. I don t feel as though I was taken seriously nor do I feel like l was heard.

Very delicious food. The Hibachi was entertainment, the food was good and we also got a special CowBoy roll which was fantastic! I would definitely eat here again. Only reason for the 4 stars is bc the ambience was a bit low. The lights were low, the bar was next to the dining area. I personally like Hibachi restaurant to look a little more upbeat. This was a fantastic experience all around. The food was delicious and the staff were very friendly and helpful. My wife and I stopped in for a quick bite after work. We were not disappointed in the quality of food or the quality of atmosphere. I have to say, I think they have the best ginger dressing I have ever had. The clear soup was great, shrimp tempura, bento box, sushi rolls, and rice was all so very good. I highly recommend this establishment for all kinds of nights out or dates. Although we did not partake in the hibachi side of the restaurant, it looked great too!

I try to order from here at least 1-2 times a week. Food is always fresh and delicious. This is the closest thing to Chicago tasting Chinese food. I say that respectfully because it s Japanese. The food at Osaka was ok but it was seasoned to perfection, and most of the staff were very nice, but I had a few observations Id like to share in the hope that it gets to the right people so they can improve on these mostly minor issues. Nowhere to stand while waiting for your table. Literally smashed together in a tiny hallway with nowhere to turn to, but this happens in a lot of restaurants. We also had a reservation and still had to wait 30 minutes to be seated, but I know hibachi is a balancing act. Sticky feel on all seats, including the baby chair. Everything needs to be wiped down daily, especially in this day and age. I asked for something to wipe it off with and someone who eas working thrte proceeded to hand me a dirty dish rag and didnt ever offer to fo it for me! Maybe its due to them cooking or something bc the walls, chairs and floor feel the same way. Our hibachi chef was ok, but he really didnt interact with us very much. Its very different at the other hibachi restaurant across town. They make it a point to involve us! We ordered lo mein for our daughter, and it appeared to be a package of Ramen noodles. Not traditional lo mein noodles or even normal Ramen. I looked up their menu, and it appears they dont offer lo mein. So that should have been mentioned to us by our server when we ordered lo mein. Very disappointing. It looked like the food was being extremely portioned, and most places do that, but not to that extent. We received half of the amount of food weve experienced at other hibachi type restaurants. It was very off-putting. Kid-friendliness: Not especially kid friendly, but it makes sense at times.

My husband and I stopped here for dinner on Saturday around 6pm. They were packed, people just kept coming in one after the other. We were told it would be about a 30 minute wait, but we ended up only waiting about 15 minutes before we were taken to our table. The hostess, waitress and bartender were all very friendly and the sushi was great! We had the shrimp tempura as an appetizer, but scarfed it down before I could get a picture of it. It was delicious! Overall we really enjoyed Osaka Hibachi Sushi & Bar and we will definitely be back!
