We have stayed at many hotels but hands down this is the best customer service we have had. They have become like family to us. Great breakfast, rooms are clean and the people are absolutely terrific. They are very accommodating especially if you have stay for an extended time. They go above and beyond. Rooms: Very comfortable!! Safety: Very quiet, safe area Food and drinks: Lots of nearby places to eat

I cant begin to express how grateful we are to the wonderful staff here. Unfortunately it was a sad reason we were in town so to receive that level of kindness and hospitality was so needed and appreciated. Damian checked us in and made sure we had extra bedding for the pull out, the young lady with the beautiful braids who listened to me vent one evening, the man who got our shower fixed so quickly, (sorry I didnt catch your names) Unique who always had a smile and kind words to Brandon in the breakfast area. You sir, are the definition of hospitality and I REALLY appreciated our brief chats in the morning. It was an emotional week for us and yall took care of us like family. Pool and hot tub were clean and well kept and our room was spotless. From the bottom of our hearts, we thank you!!! Rooms: Spacious and bed was super comfortable! Safety: Felt very safe! This was our second visit to this hotel and on both occasions weve been welcomed by a staff who truly care. The property is well maintained and there are a few places you can walk to for a quick meal. I highly recommend Charlies right next door. Their breakfast was a little above the level normally offered at Holiday Inn Express and had a lot more flavor than most hotels. Rooms: Our room was well maintained and very comfortable. The staff was very attentive and made sure we wanted for nothing, even if our room didnt need cleaning. They made sure that it was at a standard as if we were new guests everyday Food and drinks: The breakfast bar is well maintained and the food is very good for hotel food. Within a few steps out the back door is Charlie s Old fashioned kitchen. Their menu is very limited, but everything is exceptionally good. Prices are good and service was wonderful

Best Hotel in the State of Texas Rooms: The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. It appears to be a new hotel. Safety: My wife and I felt very safe. The security of the hotel was solid. Even the surrounding area seemed safe. I usually am nervous about parking my car at hotels for fear of a thief breaking in to my car, but not at this hotel. Food and drinks: The breakfast was the best we had in a long time. Mr Brandon was in charge of breakfast, and it was delicous.

Great Hotel, Nice welcome by the front desk staff. Ms. Unique, very nice with questions through out our stay. House keeping Lívia, good service. Room very clean, the bathroom is a lil dated but clean. **Breakfast yummy and hot first two days (Brandon), afterwards only egg whites biscuits were cold, no gravy, no cream for coffee. Breakfast, should at least change the meat, sausage, bacon. Attendants were nice.

Great experience at the Holiday Inn Royse City! Super clean rooms with large TVs and the continental breakfast was delicious. I utilized the on site fitness center and the heated pool and spa which were both much nicer than what Ive seen from other area hotels. 1st review->This is a very well run Hotel with great staff and service, our room is emaculat and clean, the kitchen staff is wonderful and Im not a morning person, but the staff brought a smile to my face. Outside of the building and rooms being clean, the entire staff working here is amazing! Rooms were clean and the bed was extra comfy. WiFi does not work. We were told they are upgrading but theres no access at this time. 7 channels on the TV were a fish tank. No HBO, no comedy central, no cable other than Hallmark, USA, ESPN, and a local cbs and news channel. Maybe 20 channels in total. There were two concerts in town which meant lots of doors slamming and bags being thrown on the floor between 1 and 3am. Walls are super thin and someone must have been training for a marathon upstairs with all their walking. Concert and Guests are out of the hotels control, but WiFi and Cable is a different story. Still, comfy bed! Pet friendly, and a big soccer field next door to run in (not fenced, not part of hotel)

The staff was very helpful and nice. My suite was very clean and spacious. Well, the facility was very clean and presentable. This particular hotel is pretty much all-around. Fitness center decent, the pool area is very nice... My favorite part would be the breakfast. The food was hot, fresh, and delicious. It was the variety of options to choose from that i loved about the morning breakfast. Rooms: I got the suite. Room was spacious, very clean, and comfortable. Love the bathroom. Nice sized bathroom. Mine also had the vanity lighting around the large mirror. Pretty nice. Safety: Very peaceful. Slept peacefully. Walkability: The areas are accessible. The hotel is 4 floors. Easy to get from one area to the next. Food and drinks: Vending machine...I didnt use cause I brought cases of water and drinks. The breakfast, on the other hand is very nice. I had a horrible experience with this hotel. The A/C was not working in our room upon arrival. The unit was leaking all over the floor. We informed Nathan, the front desk employee and he was obviously short handed and couldn t attempt to fix it until late that night. Which is understandably not acceptable in Texas during June. They had no other rooms to move us to so we decided to leave for another hotel. My credit card company attempted to get a refund for us on the room but the hotel denied it, even though we did not stay there and it was due to their issue. Nathan was nice and tried to be helpful and that is the only positive thing I have to say about the whole situation. Would 100% not recommend anyone to stay there. The bathroom floor was also very dirty and there was a bad smell in the hotel.

Sadly, our room was missing the dark blind, only had the privacy blind. So we were stuck with a bright shiny window at all hours. Not very comfortable when you arrive late in the evening in Texas and we re from California. No sleeping in for us! The staff here is truly wonderful. They go out of their way to be helpful. The location is convenient being right off the freeway and close to the exit. Driving is a pain though because they have four way stops at the very busy intersections. The hotel itself seems old though maintained. The keys keep clearing requiring trips down to rekey them. Problematic if traveling with kids so get a first floor room if you have several kids with you. They seem to have luggage cart shortage and one was just falling apart. Again, the staff was exceptional.

Dont normally do this, but couple things didnt sit right. As a business traveler (15+ days a month) there are things that just are expected and were not up to standards. First, light bulbs burned out or missing on 2 fixtures. May not seem like a big deal but in hotels these days lighting is a premium, so the lights you do have need to work. Second, the fan didnt work on the air unit. Thats a must, especially in stale hotel rooms. Third, cold shower at best at 6.37am. I can understand not a scalding bit shower with most people showering, but cold?? Come on. Do yourself a favor, Do not stop here. Go another 10 mins and find another HIExpress, or just grab another brand within a mile of here.

I have stayed at several hotels from this chain and I am always pleased with the service and the rooms. At this particular hotel, I was very disappointed. The floor in the restroom was very dirty, like mud or pieces of dry concrete and hair. The toilet and the shower were dirty as well and the toilet was clogged. The door had a gap and the lock was lose, I felt super unsafe at this place because of the door gap and me traveling alone. The lobby was clean and the young lady at the front desk was nice, no issue with the customer service, but a lot to say about their maintenance and housekeeping. I will never stay at this location again.

My toddler, husband and I stayed here for a wedding. We drove 12 hours to Get here & the stay was not comfortable. First room was next to the HWY & the road noise was SO LOUD it sounded like the window was wide open (it wasn t). We called and they switched our room (the only reason this isn t a 1 star is because of the customer service). We get to the new room and one of the lights don t work. Since they have wood floors, you can hear people running and walking above you. It s awful. The hallways are incredibly loud too and woke us up this morning. Breakfast options are unhealthy and limited. We regret staying here & wish we had just booked the Hilton on the lake for the similar price. It s not comfortable & not quiet at all. Look elsewhere unless you love Hwy noise & people stomping above yoh

I booked a king bed room was given 2 queens. When we checked in the clerk did not bring it up he instead had us go up to the room and find the error. When I went downstairs to address my concerns I was told they didn t have the room I booked so I was stuck with what I got. I asked to talk to a manager was told I could email. Very poor customer service. Remodel is complete but tiles are falling off. Hopefully the stay will get better.

Giving this hotel a one star for the following reasons: The toilet was overflowing, which seems to be an ongoing unresolved issue, as it is stated in a previous recent review. We called the front desk, and they left a plunger at our door so we could resolve the issue. We were informed that there is no maintenance personnel on the property. We stayed a night in the room and requested a new room in the morning because the problem persisted. We were then given a new room. The new room had an issue with the A/c. Please be ware, as stated by front desk staff, the a/c is controlled by the hotel. We couldn t sleep the second night peacefully because the a/c kept turning off. When trying to call the front desk the phone was not working. I had to use my cellphone to call. I was then informed the hotel has the a/c in the rooms set on auto, despite what you set on the thermostat. The lowest setting is 66F and Once it hits 66 the a/c turns off and won t come back on until it goes back up to 68. Therefore, if u are like myself and are a hot sleeper who needs the noise and air flow In the room to sleep this would be something to keep in mind. We also had friends in another room who confirmed their a/c was turning off through the night as well. It was a very unpleasant stay considering our 8hr drive to and from the area. I will definitely not be staying here again!!

I recently stayed at this hotel from 7-08-22 thru 7-10-22 for a family wedding. This is one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in. We arrived at approximately 3 am in the morning. All the luggage carts were gone. In my room our toilet overflowed and there was no maintenance staff to address the situation. The front desk clerk tried to address the situation but he was on a cane. My wife and I ended cleaning up the bathroom. We had to use all of our towels to clean up the bathroom then they did not want to give us more clean towels. They were suppose to send someone to at least mop the next morning and that never happened. I have since called to talk to the manager personally but they wont return my call. This place really sucks. Do not stay here.

Although the hotel is being renovated our room was clean, fresh and the bath room was spotless and well stocked. Looked at the other reviews before booking BUT most of the bad reviews were from a long time ago. This is a very good place to stay and once the renovation is complete it will be an awesome place to stay.

We stayed the night here after traveling for hours and hours with an infant, an active 12 yr old, a pregnant woman and a doggy, to say we were exhausted is an understatement. We walked in and the place is being renovated so there s a bit of construction going on. It made us a little worried, but it all turned out wonderful. The staff is amazing and very helpful. The lady tending to the breakfast was friendly and so so kind. She works hard at making sure her guests feel welcome and have everything they need. The beds were incredibly comfy, the room was quiet and the temperature was nice and cool I m sure even our fur baby was made to feel welcomed. There s a lot of construction equipment outside, but don t let that keep you away. The area is safe and we had no issues whatsoever. We will make sure and stay here again when we re in the area.

Theyre currently remodeling, and Im in one of the rooms they just completed. Everything feels new and modern and fresh obviously. My travel agent put me into the Hampton Inn in Rockwall, and it was disgusting. Worst Hampton Ive ever stayed in. Usually Hamptons are better than Holiday Inns, but this was the opposite situation, by far. And I think my travel agent got overcharged for Hampton, because my receipt was more than what it showed on Google maps. And then this far better room at the holiday inn was cheaper! So glad I switched.

There was no hot water in the shower. I called the front desk and was told to wait for thirty minutes. Has anyone stayed in a hotel like this before? If you had known earlier, would you have chosen this hotel?

I have never stayed in a noisier room than this one here. Even ear plugs didnt drown out the noise from the highway. The shower valves evidently are plumbed backwards as the spigot for the shower opens from the hot side. It would have been better to know before the check out... I would have loved a warm shower. Their breakfast was nice.

Very clean, good price. Very honest employees. I left my purse sitting on the floor at breakfast and I believe her name was Bonnie, she was in charge breakfast at that time she turned it in. We were traveling so I had more cash than normal and between her and the desk employees nothing was missing I was so grateful. Then when we were leaving I thought I dropped something I looked back didnt see anything. We were loading up our car when another one of their employees came running out with my phone. Id stay there again for sure. Thank you all so much.

The front desk staff were very professional and welcoming. The rooms were clean. (I know this should be a given but you would be surprised). The breakfast area was nice well organized, offered a nice selection. And most importantly it was prepped for COVID safety. The staff attending the breakfast was very sweet and hospitable. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

It was NOT OK! Customer service is horrible, Micheal the GM is not training his employees properly and HE is very very rude and unempathic! They will run the full balance on your credit card even when you are paying cash and Micheal says they can do this and not tell you.!?? We always pay cash and they still tried to run our card( we didnt know this) and after it didnt go thru ... the GM went into our room while we were gone and took my luggage (put it in the office)and rented the room to another! WE NEVER knew of the credit card situation and they sold out of rooms and told us we had to leave! AT 1 A.M. in the morning! WE TRIED TO PAY CASH AT CHECK-IN AND THE TWO GIRLS SAID IT WAS NOT DUE TILL CHECK-OUT!!! Micheal and his staff need extensive training on handling customers and the service!!! I This was insane! I will never stay here!

Didnt get to stay here because I had a trailer behind my truck and the girl I talked to on the phone said they dont allow trailers on the property. I explained to her I was Parked on the road and there was a trailer on the back lot and a camper parked on the east side of the hotel. But you dont allow trailers

It is an ok Holiday inn. We have stayed at a lot precovid and this place needs some serious cleanliness lessons post covid. I would highly recommend just staying at another hotel in Rockwall. The staff were super nice, but the room we stayed in was pretty nasty. The bathroom floor was sticky, there was hair in the bath rub. The walls and doors were super nasty. Just nasty. I am thankful I had a can of lysol. They left the stuff from the people who stayed before, the toilet paper was not new, you could tell it had been used. Just nasty.

I thought this would be a nice hotel to stop at while traveling alone with my three children under 6.we had driven 9 hours that day. My husband called and set the room up using his points. The front desk guy I believe his name was Micheal had an issue with the form of Id I was giving him and was basically turning me away with 3 kids . So I have to get the kids together and go back to my car for my license. I give the guy my ID and say Im not sure what the problem is the police would except the other Id then he snaps back and says I highly doubt that . I ask to speak to someone else and he refused and said he was the manager. If this is how your management gives costumer service I will never stay at one of your hotels again. This Micheal was so rude and has no respect.

Stayed here while going to the races down the road. Clean hotel. The staff was exceptional. Unlike most of the hotels I ve been to lately this one has a great breakfast selection. Also if you re a Texan or even a non Texan .Buccees is right down the road which is always a plus. Price was good as well, I ll be back here next time I m at the races.

Ive stayed at this location multiple times over the years, and wow has the new management done a great job in sprucing up the place! Guest experience is now a top priority and these guys pride themselves on customer service! I was also impressed with the breakfast; it made me fee like I was back home and my mom was cooking breakfast with a passion. Rural town with a friendly touch of Texas, I will be back!

The room itself was immaculate. At check 2pm check-in (prepaid). Was informed room would not be read until 3pm(official check in time). Room was not available until 3:30(1 of 2) 2nd room not ready until 4:45pm. We only get 20 hrs in the room and we lost 2 of those hrs to housekeeping. Not happy with service.
