The last time I had gone to Pancho and Leftys it was in the old Dickeys BBQ building. I basically gave up on them because the place didnt seem very clean! Last night my parents wanted to go eat here and omg Im so glad we gave them another chance! The building was very clean, no flies, and most importantly...food was amazing and fresh! My dad had chicken nachos. ( he loved them) My mom and I had the enchiladas special $9.99 for 2 enchiladas of your choice and rice and beans! Everything was amazing! We will definitely be going back weekly! I promise if you had written this place off before, its definitely worth giving them another try because this location is smaller and easier for them to maintain customer service and cleanliness! ( When I first tried to get in... I thought they were closed because the door was hard to open)

My favorite place in Rowlett to hang out after a hike in the nature preserve down the road. I love the fact that I can stop in and have a drink and a bite to eat in the afternoon with my service animal and were greeted as friends ever time we walk in the door. Vegetarian options available, not a lot of alcohol available but its more than made up for by the staff and patrons who make you feel like a friend. Ill continue to stop by every few days when Im in town as long as the doors are open.

Too expensive for expired food my family got sick, not sure if we were served bad food on purpose but NEVER going back there, its disgusting and over priced, everyone who ate has gotten sick if not vomiting, diarrhea, I tasted the beans first they were bad old so I didnt finish eating a waste of $50 nothing was tastefully authentic or fresh, our stomachs are messed up from what we tried off the plate, NEVER, EVER GOING BACK.... some places are not for me and my family and friends this is 1 of them, I will not recommend this place ever. I think we may have food poisoning feeling really bad after eating here, my stomach feels so bad its cramping really bad, im afraid to eat anything else as of 09/5/24 my stomach feels horrible. #HEALTH DEPARTMENT I saved the food because we all got sick it need to be tested..

Was really scared when I walked in !!! But pleasantly surprised, atmosphere was dark, waiter was scary.. Margaritas could have been better (we got top shelf, we have had way better, but have had worse) but when the food got there, our visit changed like crazy. I got carna asada, husband got enchiladas. Everything was piping hot and was amazing. Asked for medium cooked and they said they would try. You could cut it with your fork and fresh pico (you could smell it) husband loved enchiladas, we also got nachos ( pilled high, with meat, beans, and cheese). Food made a difference in this decision for dinner tonight !!!

Weve had queso flameado many times, but its never been brought out on fire! That was cool and delicious! We had the fajitas, and there were also really good. Definitely recommend this place The waiter was attentive and (the owner or manager?) was also really nice.

This is a reasonably priced spot to get some Tacos and Enchiladas. Its maybe average tasting- bar food. I will say that the rice is often old & the food doesnt always taste fresh. The restaurant doesnt always look clean. They have live music and a bar. Its more of a bar rather than a Mexican restaurant. I do like the Marilyn Monroe wall. Hopefully it will improve in the future.

How is this place still open. First time trying it and I got the taco salad. The chicken taste like it was cooked in water. The shell tastes like it was cooked in old grease. It feels dirty when you walk in the bathroom are nasty and smells like they sprayed roach spray in the bathroom.

Food was so bland except for the rice. Got two gray pieces of tough meat for carne asada. I am not a picky eater but this was bad. Took 3 bites and I couldn t anymore. It was like they just pulled a frozen piece of meat out of freezer and threw it on a skillet with no seasoning. It was so unappealing and had the seeped meat juice film covering all of the steak . Bathrooms are so old and not well kept at all. It reeked like roaches.

Definitely not the same place I remember eating years ago. Definitely needs to be on kitchen nightmares. Call Gordon. Rice was hard been sitting out food was reheated definitely not fresh. And way over priced for the quality .nobody had uniforms, everyone had regular clothes . I ve never put bad reviews but I feel like people should know before they waist money . Honestly we should ve went threw a drive threw.

I had a disappointing experience at this restaurant. I ordered a chicken quesadilla, but to my surprise, there was no chicken in it. Additionally, my chimichanga was missing the beans. The lack of attention to detail in preparing these basic dishes was frustrating. The flavors were incomplete, and it left me unsatisfied. I hope the restaurant improves its quality control to ensure customers receive what they order.

Pretty cool place . Very chill. You can have a cold drink or beer , wine, and mixed drinks. The chips and salsa will FILL YOU UP. so slow down on them , or you will be taking home some of your meal. (For real).

Ordered the combo fajitas, and they were awesome. Very tender steak. It came on a steaming hot plate. Onions and bell peppers were tasty. The chips were good but on the thicker side. The hot sauce was ok. The pinco was also very good and fresh. The rice was above average. We also ordered the enchilada plater, and it was tasty also. The queso had decent flavor but was too runny.

We were excited to try this restaurant after reading the great reviews on Google. We waited approximately 20 minutes before being greeted by a server. We then proceeded to wait another 50 minutes for our food. Mind you, we were one of maybe 2 or 3 other couples in the restaurant. After receiving our meal, we did not see our waitress again. We eventually had to flag her down to pay our tab. Very disappointed and will not be returning. FYI- stay away from the bathroom. It s absolutely disgusting and reminds me of a bar restroom.

Not sure where to even start. Don t know how they even have 4 stars. Had fajitas for 2 - pretty sure it was frozen meat, no flavor at all. Will say the salsa was the only decent thing we had, even the chips had no flavor. BUT worse than all that was the middle aged couple literally making out in the booth at the back of the restaurant, the guy gets up at one point and goes into the kitchen so obviously an employee or owner. Disgusting either way. Needless to say we won t be back. Never ever!

I have never really had a problem with Pancho and Lefty serving me in a normal precise time but on Tuesday May 2nd I join my son there for lunch knowing I only had an hour and I had 55 minutes before I had to return to work. The waitress came over to acknowledge us after a few minutes and we told her we did need menus we knew what we wanted and we placed her order for two ground beef full-sized nachos and my son wanted two soft tacos I wanted the one. There was only three other couples in the whole restaurant so they werent very busy. After about 20 minutes we asked for our lunch she said it was coming and then after 40 minutes I asked he said it was coming the tacos were brought out I told her she can have to put the nachos in a box I had to return to work I did not get to eat my food in your restaurant. Finally the cook I guess came out with our order boxed up and said Im sorry I had to make up the taco meat is someone would have let us know that we would have ordered something totally different but no one told us. I ate 3 of my nachos and give the rest of my son because I had to go back to work then I could meet on the job and I wasnt getting off till 9. Im just really upset. I love the food there I love the owner Im just upset no one told us about it yesterday but they didnt have any meat.

We stopped here on our way through headed to home to De Kalb, Texas. Sancho ;) waited on us, and he was phenomenal! He and my 8 year old son took an immediate liking to one another, as my son continuously asked him for hugs and he was more than happy to oblige. He at one point slipped my son a kit kat bar, saying one kind action for another . When bringing out our food, he was very clear that out sons plate wouldn t be hot but ours would be, and I appreciated that. It wasn t long after that when my son got distracted watching someone make tortillas in the tortilla press/cooker, when Sancho ;) noticed my sons fascination, he grabbed him a couple fresh off the conveyor belt tortillas to taste. When we were getting ready to leave, my son asked for more hugs and Sancho ;) took him to some friends of his to give them hugs as well which just overjoyed my hug loving child. The food was delicious, but the customer service was out of this world phenomenal! Pictured is my son in the process of giving everyone hugs.

One of our favorite restaurants, authentic Tex Mex, family owned.They usually have a fajita lunch special which easily serves two people around $10. The best margaritas around and they come in a tumbler, Im guessing 12 oz for $6.50. Live music Wednesday and Friday evenings, country on Wednesday and soft rock on Fridays.

First time ever Ive been here, the food was excellent. The server was very attentive, I went with my oldest son. I plan on coming back again and again, I really really like the prices they were excellent. I was really shocked when we got the check, I was so full I couldnt even finish my plate. So, we wanted Mexican food tonight and that is exactly what Taylor, our waiter, brought us. When we walked in, it was cool and dim, perfect atmosphere when is scorching hot outside. Meal: Beef burrito with rice and beans Cheese quesadilla w. Sour cream and guacamole Fajitas for 2 - Awesome Idea! Margaritas - for me :) Water - for my lightweights One great thing to point out is the fact that their beans have canola oil in them and not lard. So I could eat them :-) When I say everything was fantastic, that is not an exaggeration! All the food came out together and was hot and fresh! Taylor checked on us and refilled glasses. We literally did not have to ask for anything. It was like they already knew! I am not some margarita aficionado. But when I tell you that there margaritas are good, I really mean it. I had to and they were fantastic. So if you like margaritas I would suggest going here to get one :-) 4 people at the table and believe me when I say all 4 were satisfied and full! Great tex-mex food. Had the nachos as an appetizer and they were meticulously made with care. For entrey I had cheese chili relleno and it was delicious. My husband had the enchilada dinner and cleaned his plate. Our son had the tamale dinner and there were no complaints which is high praise. I recommend this place for lunch, dinner or take out.
