Dr. Schneider is the best optometrist you could ever ask for. He is extremely knowledgeable, caring, honest and kind. I have been using him for 35 years and would not consider using anyone else. My entire family uses him also. I highly recommend him to anyone that needs an eye doctor.

If I could give this place no stars I absolutely would! The receptionist (Becky Scnheider) is the most vile and disrespectful human I have ever come across! My family has been going here for years and she has been a constant growing problem through out them and it seems she s reached her peak of disrespectfulness. I don t even recommend going to a new spot, IT IS A MUST!!!

He is a very good doctor and has always gotten my glasses and contacts done correctly. I have a very tough percription and really had to search to find someone who could get it right

VERY VERY VERY unprofessional would give it 0 stars, MORE LIKE Doctor John got so angry because we didn t want to buy contacts, long story short he got so mad told the receptionist to cancel everything, took away our sample bags from our hands, right when we were walking out he told us to stop and take out the sample contacts we had in our EYES ALREADY. He was trying to make us pay more than what we needed too. Never in my life have a I seen a doctor react like that.

I love Dr Schneider and his staff. They have cared for me for over 10 years (and my now adult children). I appreciate their service, the convenience of the office and the family friendly feeling of the place. It is not a vision center at Walmart kind of place and I love that. I m grateful for all they do to keep me in glasses.

I waited 3+ weeks for contacts. After the last time I called, the doctor (and both receptionists) were rude. The doctor told me my prescription had been expired for 5 years and he was doing me a favor by giving me contacts from an expired scrip. What kind of doctor would do such a terrible thing to a patient?! Very unprofessional. This place is awful. 0/10 do not recommend!

I actually really enjoyed my visit. The doctor was thorough and friendly. The receptionist was very friendly and patient with me as I was picking out my glasses. I like their glass selection too. My complaint is that they are listed as in-network for my healthcare and my exam should have been a $30 co-pay, instead I was charged $80. After several phone calls and investigating it appears that they were no longer in network but they never were removed from the network list. The insurance company blamed the doctor for not communicating with them. Not entirely sure whos fault it is but so frustrating. Why cant doctors just be up front and say they are not in network and my visit will cost 50 dollars more than I could pay elsewhere? So always ask before the visit folks!

I had a wonderful experience and it doesn t smell bad at all. When I came back to pay for my glasses, the receptionist was so super friendly to actually come outside and measure me! Since I m in a wheelchair. She was like Nooo, stay, I ll come out! It was so sweet of her! The doctor is always nice and patient. He even helped me out in the chair.

My family & I have been seeing Dr. Schneider for about 4-5 years. We love this dr & his staff!! They have always been very patient with us. Dr. Schneider is very laid back, conversational, personable & professional. He s not the type of dr that is uptight & doesn t hold his dr title to be above others...he s down to earth! I ve been in his office when he s answered the phones & been at the front desk greeting patients as they come in...I think it s awesome that he does that! You certainly don t see other drs doing that! When I call up there, all I have to say is my name & they know exactly who I am. When I go up there, all I have to do is walk in & they know exactly who I am! I praise this kind of customer service b/c I don t get it from other dr offices. This past year he & his receptionist helped my 13yo with contacts & they were awesome & patient with her. I have an eye condition & astigmatism & he has me in the best & most comfortable contacts & stylish glasses! My eye health is much better now then when I was seeing an ophthalmologist! My husband hates drs, doesn t matter which type, & he never misses an appointment! WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND DR. SCHNEIDER!!

I read some of the OLD reviews and some people can be so cruel. I guess they have a new receptionist because she was awesome! VERY patient, kind and helpful in helping me pick out a great & cute pair of glasses! And Dr Schneider was wonderful! He was very patient, kind and very respectful! He tries to make you laugh to help you have a more pleasant experience and hes VERY thorough! I especially liked the fact that the machine that blows a puff of air into your eyes is unnoticeable, you dont feel a thing; not like most of them that blow out a hard air puff and would make me jump. I also thought the office is very nicely set up with a very comfortable, clean and nice smelling atmosphere. I loved the great selection of glasses too. I will definitely be going back and highly recommend Dr Schneider & this practice! Kim Sparkman

Went there a few months ago and the doctor got me in right away. He was ok kinda quirky. Went to check out and the lady a the desk said it would be $85. I said I had never been charged for a exam before. Thats when she got an attitude. I paid sense I had somewhere to be. Called my insurance while driving and they told me I should not have paid anything for the exam. I had to make time to go back and get a refund after I got my insurance company to call and ask about their questionable billing

I took my son there to get glasses, the lobby area smelled of cigarette smoke and the receptionist was VERY rude to a patient she was on the phone with. I have worked in a Drs office and in customer service for MANY years and thats not how you treat people when you run a business!! Also, I have worn glasses for over 20 years and they ALWAYS give you the rx, when you get your frames/contacts, not this place. My son broke his glasses and this Drs office grilled me when I returned to get the rx them. I called in advanced and showed up during the time they specified, but still had to explain why. Why, should I have to explain why I need MY SONs rx, which I have every right to ask for!!! The Dr. was answering phones that day, and lets just say, the receptionist is not the only one that needs a customer service course!

Dont take your children here if they have bad eye sight. He has no patience with them and its obvious hes been doing this so long that he hates his job. He never could get the right prescription for my daughter and we are now fighting with the insurance to allow us to go to another doctor. He wont even cooperate with the insurance company. Not sure why they contract with him.

The Doc. was awesome! Saw myself and my family on very short notice. He was very patient with my 6 year old. He was courteous and respectful! He took the time to get everything right and stayed late to make sure we had no more questions. 5/5

Both the lady at the counter, and the doctor himself have bad attitudes. Make sure to get your Pupillary Distance (PD) measured if getting glasses online, because they wont give it to you without asking. If you have an astigmatism, then again find another doctor. I have astigmatisms in both of my eyes, and the Rx he gave me for my eyes did not correct it. I would not recommend seeing this establishment, please find another place to do business.

My wife and I have both been going to Dr. Schneider every year for the past 8 years. Never had a problem with Dr. Schneider or his receptionist. Although we do not have vision insurance any more since I retired, I still go to him even though he is a little more expensive that some of the store front optometrist. We purchased eye glasses from him the first year we went to him, but even with the insurance discount they were pricey. We have found that eyeglasses at Costco were much less expensive (even cheaper than Walmart Optical or some of the other so called low price eyeglass stores). We never have a problem getting our prescriptions from him, and in fact for the last 5 years he just writes them and hands them to us without having to ask. Dr. Schneider also has a storefront in Rockwall as well as Rowlett.

I was in a hurry and could hear Dr. Schneider and the receptionist yapping for almost 30 minutes in the back after my appointment should have started. I missed a lunch with my grandmother thanks to their untimeliness.
