It costs about as much as McDonald s to eat here, but you are getting high quality Asian cuisine. I m not one for authentic ethnic food, but this stuff was just great. I would love to see this place get more business as it is owned by a really nice guy.

Everything was amazing! Beautiful restaurant was clean and inviting, excellent service was so friendly, and the food was fantastic! We got the Beef Mee-Katang, Lemongrass with chicken, pork pad Thai, drunken noodles with beef, and basil fried rice with chicken. Everything tasted so good and the spring rolls were delicious and crispy. We will definitely come again!

My experience at Rumdoul Cuisine was amazing! Ive been there twice and both times the food was excellent. Today, I took my son there and we ordered 3 different meals and all were amazing. My son favored the Beef Noodle Soup while I favored the curry. We both loved the fried rice. The portions are massive. The waitress asked if we would be sharing the food to which she said she would split the food for us for all 3 meals. Why is this important? Because the Beef Noodle Soup was easier to share already split. So she accounted for this. For the other 2 dishes, she brought out extra plates and soup spoons since we were going to share. The environment is pleasant; its quiet and very simple. My first time, we went with 5 friends and we met the owner. He was so friendly. He chatted with us and made us feel at home and comfortable. He took the time to chat with us. Going this second time, I went with my son and a young lady served us and she too was friendly and welcoming. Overall, the food is great with huge portions, the service is fantastic and the ambiance is superb!

This place is wonderful! Delicious, fresh Asian food and excellent customer service. The owner and his staff are lovely and welcoming. Everything on the menu is great, with affordable prices for the amount of food you get. The Thai tea, drunken noodles, lemongrass tofu, red curry, and pad thai are very tasty. I had never eaten Cambodian food before, but Im glad I found Rumdoul! Rowlett has a gem in this locally-owned restaurant. Highly recommend. Kid-friendliness: Kids are welcome

I just ordered the spicy beef off here and I was not happy with what I got at all. I got half a plate of food for the price I ordered. It was so small and not filling at all. I am visiting the area and have been in the road all day. Came home decided to get a meal and what I got was not worth it. Pls someone fix it. We should not pay this much for half a plate of food!

The service was attentive, friendly, and earnest, but you come to a restaurant for the food and it was disappointing. There was little spice or seasoning in any of the dishes. The noodles were overcooked and falling apart. The portions were small, and hardly any chicken, beef, or pork in our meals. The food was mediocre, and given the portion size and scarcity of protein, overpriced. The servers were great, but Cambodian food should be better than this.

We saw the 4.9 star review and had really high hopes. Unfortunately we were disappointed. The food was ok but overpriced. If you want your Thai tea sweet they charge you $2 extra. Service was disappointing. They didn t ask us how spicy we wanted our food, but later heard them ask the table next to us the spice level they wanted. After we got our food they not once checked on us. We just sat there with our empty plates until the two girls by the register ended their conversation and brought us the check. Btw this is advertised as a Cambodian restaurant but all their dishes are Thai.

Really good, fresh food. Not the greatest location, but its totally worth entering. Once you do, the staff greets you with warm smiles. Boss Lady and I ordered spicy pork and spicy basil beef, respectively. Started with their egg rolls, just ok but not bad. The main dishes are as spicy as you want them. Mild was a bit too spicy for Boss Lady (white girl ). Ordered their house iced tea, very refreshing. Well definitely come here again, soon!

This is one of our very favorite places! I am obsessed with the lemongrass pork, both my son and husband love the pad Thai. The red curry and lettuce wraps are also AMAZING! This is probably the most consistent restaurant around - taste is always on point and spice levels are consistent, too! Restaurant is clean. The owner is SO kind, too. Everyone should eat here - just not when I want to (dining area is not huge, which is actually nice)!

We stopped by when they opened Wednesday morning and was greeted by the Cambodian owner who served us Thai Tea in tall glasses. The place is very neat and clean. My husband had a flat noodle dish with chicken. I think it was called Mei Ka Tung, with the heat at number 4! (1-5 was offered) He really loved it and ate every bite. I got the basil fried rice with chicken the portions are very large I had part and the rest I took home for later :-) You have a choice of protein including tofu with most dishes too. I would recommend for lunch; we are going back next week!

This is a nice, local place with great service and great food. The place is owned and ran by a family. The inside is clean and the food is fresh. We took my mom who had never eaten Thai food. The owner took our order and was very gracious in explaining the foods and options. I had read past reviews and took the advice to try the Thai tea. So very good, let me recommend it again! Another review complained about the music and I do have to admit that the music was Michael Buble and it was pleasant but not really expected. My husband loves Michael Buble so he was happy. I woukd have rather heard island music or at least traditional music but that is just my preference. It wasnt bad just not what I expected. The food was excellent and you can choose how how spicy to make it. The portions were substantial and made fresh.

This place is amazing! The food its fantastic! You can pick your heat and if its not hot enough they have a chili sauce they make there that is delicious. You can choose to eat in (they have a very clean restaurant with an area for kids to hang out, watch tv, play video games so parents can enjoy their food while its still hot) take out, or they deliver. Choosing what to get was so tough I just had to come back for dinner the same day. The caramelized pork was amazing, a new dish to me and now a new favorite. My wife had to copy me and get the red curry, but low spice - still amazing, and just how she likes it. The staff were very attentive and the cook so genuinely desired to please our pallettes. Making good food and playing customers is clearly a passion not just a business here.

Visan at Rumdoul is a very gracious and personable host and the food is terrifically authentic and fresh. If you havent visited this family owned and operated gem, you are seriously missing out! We ordered Combination Noodle Soup (Kuy Teav Phnom Penh) Ground pork, shrimp, crabmeat, bean sprouts, spring onions, and noodles. Serve in steaming hot bowl of chicken broth. I cut back on the noodles and added vegetables. The homemade pepper sauce made it out of this world tasty!! Lemongrass combo and drunken noodles with pork. All were incredible and my daughter commented that the Thai tea was the best shes tasted.

Well the food was excellent as always. They had two teenagers as in-house servers. They forgot our appetizer, and even after asking about it, our entrees arrived before the egg rolls. The teenage boy spent the entire time talking to his girlfriend? At least that s what I think she was. Go for the food but stay on top of the servers.

Wanted to try something different in Rowlett and Rumdoul did not disappoint. My son and I played it safe with the Pad Thai w/ chicken. It was wonderful! I stuffed myself and my son had to leave some noodles behind because it was a generous portion. The real surprise was how wonderful the wait staff was. The gal was very sweet and helpful as we needed suggestions for our first visit. The gentleman that was cleaning tables and refilled our drinks was funny, nice, and, of course, very helpful. My son works for tips at his job and was driven to leave a 50% tip because the food and service were wonderful! 6 Stars! :D

As our family of 6 were craving our traditional Cambodian foods after traveling from out of state and visiting the Dallas, TX area for the first time, we did a Google and Yelp search for a Cambodian restaurant near us. With all the selections and variety of Asian restaurant cuisine in the Dallas area, we were quite surprised that there was only 1 Cambodian restaurant in the area. So we drove the 40 minutes out to Rumdoul from Allen, TX. It was totally worth the drive! Exceptionally great food and service!!! The owner is so friendly and nice! He went out of his way to accommodate us in making sure we got the authentic Khmer foods that me and my husband were craving for. Somlor machu kreung/lemongrass sour soup, char prahok ktis, and char kreong/lemongrass beef stir fry. Ordered these dishes specifically off the menu. It was very authentic. They even put the cow intestines in the somlor machu like I requested! The restaurant is 100% family owned and operated. Go support them! Would highly recommend this place!

Ive been searching for a Cambodian restaurant in DFW for years and finally found one quietly situated in Rowlett! When we went Saturday afternoon it was a little busy, but service was very friendly and super efficient. Menu is a combination of familiar Thai and traditional Cambodian. So good to find some awesome authentic dishes not found anywhere else in town. Excellent skewered beef (ang saek ko kreung), lemongrass stir fry (cha kreung) and mee-katang. We came with high hopes, and Rumdoul lived up to expectations. Definitely will come back!

I did not know this restaurant was here. We had planned to go to another restaurant and it was closed. What a lucky day for us! We started our visit with pork spring rolls. They were delicious and had everything I needed for my rolls to be perfect. When I mentioned I had an allergy, they were sincerely concerned and checked ingredients for me. I ended up ordering the suggested Pad Thai. It was so good and had a unique flavor. My daughter ordered chicken fried rice. She LOVED it. I loved it. It may be the best friend rice I have ever eaten. My husband ordered the combination noodle soup which was very like a Pho. The staff was so sweet and friendly. The music was soothing and the restaurant was immaculate. We are coming back very soon!

My family and I went to there establishment. I simply love their establishment the ambience was peaceful and welcoming. I simply love there dishes. I highly recommend this place. We had the Lemon grass with vegetables , also the chicken red curry soup. The drunken noodles with vegetables the curry with noodles. The chicken noodle soup. The lettuce wrap. The eggrolls. That Thai tea I fell in love with that one. The kettle hot tea my daughter loved that one.The food is absolutely delicious, You can taste different flavors in your mouth that I never tasted. That it takes you some where you never been. Also, you can taste the love that is put in every dish there. The service was impeccable. My daughter wanted some dessert but they were out of it and the owner offered to bring it to our home. You never here that, that s how wonderful this place is. I was very impressed with this family run restaurant. The service was very friendly. I love Cambodian food and it is so hard to find. I ordered the caramelized pork, which was fantastic. It is actually pretty authentic compared to what you can get on the streets of Phnom Penh. Though the pork was really good, the pickled vegetables stole the show. That touch to the meal is what made it taste even more authentic. If I lived closer, I would go more often, but I will definitely be back soon.

We have been going to Rumdouhl since it opened and will continue. If anything, the meals get better and better. Such a wonderful place. I have had almost every dish on the menu and plus others for surprise dishes. If you want authentic, then this is the place! Having dinner with some soft music in the background, little Sinatra and Bublé, just to mention a few. Oh and the service impeccable! I dont write many reviews, but this place had stellar service, reasonable prices, great food, and BOMB Thai Tea drinks. We got the Shrimp Spring Rolls, Tofu Fried Rice, and Pad Thai. None were life-altering dishes at first bite (this is a Rowlett restaurant next to a gas station Michelle, not an Uptown Dallas rooftop bar. Chill with those expectations of yours) but the peanut sauce with the spring rolls and the sauce used for the tofu fried rice really stood out. Both dishes are a little different than any other Asian place around - so much so that I look forward to ordering again. And the service was amazing! Our server made every table feel like they were incredibly well taken care of, and he even walked us out to our car. Will definitely go again.

Tried this place on popular review and I have to say I wasn t as impressed as I thought I would be. Very nice people but the food and ambiance was mediocre . Ordered the fresh rolls and they were kind of chewy and the ingredients were kind of hard, didn t have much flavor, the peanut sauce was okay. The egg rolls were okay, pretty standard. Ordered the pad Thai which was delicious but when I go to a Cambodian restaurant I want unique and I don t think of pad Thai when I think unique. Also had the chicken and broccoli dish. It was supposed to be Chinese broccoli but it was just regular broccoli with under seasoned noodles. The restaurant was boring, dark, no music, annoying regulars. And yeah nice people but wasn t impressed honestly. The menu is very minimal and the drinks are very minimal. Thai tea was delicious but no real drinks.

Support your local restaurants! Very good food. Has a wonderful fresh taste to everything we tried. The Pho(?) soup broth is surprisingly bright and tasty. I did get bean sprouts but not basil leaves and jalapeno so not sure if it is meant to be Pho. I would have liked that extra. We have been looking for a new place since Yogurt Wasted is gone, the owner used to do vegetables instead of noodles in my Pho soup and it was even better than noodles! The staff is so nice and welcoming, a really great restaurant. Something to consider with people wanting carb alternatives is to offer stir fry low starch vegetables in place of rice and noodles. Not carrots, onion, or potatoes, but Celery, Broccoli, red pepper, heart of palm, cabbage, bok choy, green beans. Advertise it here, on your menu and website. Limited menu and Little seating. Call ahead. Its not very cozy inside, though I think they might be trying for a more modern look? Maybe some color on the walls would not be amiss. Hopefully they get alot of takeaway customers. This place is sadly hard to find unless you are looking for it. The restaurant in blocked by a gas station and the sign is not very eye catching or readable. If they dont have a sign on the back of the building they should see about getting painted on so many can discover the place!
