The quesabirria tacos were spectacular!! The fajitas were tender and the margaritas were delicious too! This restaurant does NOT disappoint!! The service was lovely, the place had a laid back, yet upscale vibe. DO NOT SKIP THIS RESTAURANT IF YOU ARE AT KALAHARI!!! It might be worth a special trip

Food was okay. Place was dead and still had to wait for about 20 minutes to get a table. No one was there to receive us. Ordered a regular Michelada and they brought a beer with lime juice. Asked the waitress in regards to the Michelada and she said that s the only option they have aside to the one with V8, so basically they don t know what a Michelada is. I give it 2 stars because the place was nice and despite those things, my family was able to enjoy the atmosphere.

Lets just start off with....I have been here before. If you have...you need to go again! The decor is spot on for pics, great atmosphere, and experience. The food...new menu...next level. The best birria beef taco presentation...and flavor around! I expect greasy...but it wasnt. It was flavorful, filling, and fantastic! And dont judge but i also tried the mahi mahi taco...so tasty! Beyond that...the staff is impeccable. Not just saying that...have you met MIGUEL? Youll feel like youve been friends with him for years and offers great advice in ordering off the menu based on your preferences or food restrictions. Highly recommend ordering a millionaire margarita...get your phone out when he (Miguel) arrives at your table. Great memories, great atmosphere, great experience....from a person who has high expectations!! (And a shout out to the manager, ADRIAN, who usually checks on tables throughout the place (witnessed) to make sure your experience is above and beyond! Great job Cinco Ninos. See ya next time!!

Slowwwwww service, never even got menus gave up and looked it up online. The kids menus were brought out after we already placed our order. The orders were brought out wrong. No refills unless we asked. Long wait to be seated with empty tables everywhere. Seated someone who went when our name was called that was half our party size. So we come to this place all hyped up or Mexican food, when we get there the 1 nice waiter came and got our drinks. 15 minutes later we get our drinks and they take our order. Then a couple walked in and got their drinks and food immediately, while we have been waiting for 30 minutes. When we get our food the fajitas were burnt, chicken and fries were cold, and tacos were cold. We make a complaint and then they offer to heat up the food and they come back 5 minutes later with even colder food. Then we made another complaint and they give the kids meals for free. But the food was ok.

it s tex mex . the burritos are definitely a good size. we also had fajitas for two. each person was able to make two tacos. so that will give you a idea on amount. We had made reservations and was seated within five minutes. We were greeted immediately. our waitress tanya was amazing. She kind of reminded me of pink the singer we joked the whole time about it. She was attentive, kind, friendly and definitely helped us order what we wanted. The food overall was a normal Tex-Mex restaurant it wasn t terrible. It wasn t the best. we paid $178 for five people that s with an appetizer. and that doesn t include tip. We recently stayed at Kalahari resort. We were very satisfied with everything except Cinco Ninos. 1. We made a 6:45pm reservation for 6-28-24. We get seated and WAIT for our waitress. I want to start with saying she was kind and friendly the whole time. Heres the issues.... There were 5 people at out table. We waited to get our drinks for a long time, even the table nezt to us was frustratedwith the wait time on service. We ordered the beef steak fajitas for 2. It was awful. The meat was tough snd we could not even chew it. For $60 I was completely dissatisfied with the whole meal. The rice was dry and the beans were cold. Our drinks only got refilled once, upon pur request and without our knowledge a gratuity was added. I know that dor parties of 6 or over it would be added. We were 4 adults and one child. Yhe bill was folded so that you could not see that she had added the gratuity. Overall, we were very disappointed and dissatisfied. We would have complained, but the time spent waiting it wasnt worth it. I feel like we were not given the quality of service or food that we paid for.

The only good thing there was the music. After we were sat down we were told they didn t have enough servers,so they had bartenders helping us. We had no silverware,no appetizer plates, we had to ask twice for water, silverware, plates, and toddlers apple juice. Flies were all over the food (we were sitting inside),quesadilla was terrible,the rice tasted pretty bad and bland and like it came straight out of a frozen bag,burger had straight up raw onions and it was suppose to come with chili lime fries and instead they put it on my toddler and 7yr olds plate-which was a mess! They MADE us do a reservation and we included it was a birthday celebration for my daughter but I guess nobody read it and nobody even bothered to come and sing to her or say anything to us.felt like such a waste of money ! This restaurant is located within the Kalahari Resort so by default, we chose to go here. 17 members of my family dined for dinner. The service was good but being overlooked because the food was horrible. Everything we had was way too salty or forgettable. Although the presentation looked great, the chicken tortilla soup was so salty that we could only take 2 bites of it. The queso and guacamole were subpar. The chicken enchiladas, salads, fajitas, carne asada tacos, and shrimp tacos were either too salty or not worth the money. We were not expecting a 5 star restaurant but something decent enough for a good review versus my 1 star food review would have been ideal. Will definitely not come back here.

Food was delicious, service was terrible. Waitress rarely came to our table and when food came out, we had no silverware for at least ten minutes. Update: Turns out they somehow managed to double my bill when charging me. So now having to deal with their service

This was a very nice looking restaurant. The place was big and very clean. The sauces were very very good. From there it was very downhill. The server took quite a bit of time to bring refills and had to be flagged down on a few occasions to refill drinks. I had ordered carne asada burrito, but was brought carnitas. i didnt complain as that was going yo be my 2nd choice, but then as i got into the meat it was dry and very bland, see photo to see the dryness. it was like it had been sitting for quite sometime under a heat lamp. the rice tasted like it came from a bag and was not authentic. the beans were surprisingly good. my wife order some shrimp stacked enchiladas. the shrimp was super chewy and bland, again the sauce on the enchiladas was good. this place was just a rollercoaster between being bland and being flavorful. for the price and being at Kalahari I just expected so much better. but for a Saturday night it seemed empty and they want you to have a reservation, maybe a trick to make it seem better? again had so much hopes for the place as the location looked amazing.

I AM IN DISBELIEF OF THIS PLACE. FROM THE START TO THE FINISH MY DAUGHTERS BIRTHDAY DINNER RUINED AT A TOTAL SUCCESS. ZERO KID.FRIENDLY ...unless your kids love onion in and on everything. They couldnt sing happy birthday per the manager they never brought out my daughters drink nor churros. All my order was wrong. Just a complete disaster. Would not recommend. Paying top dollar for a place that I could compare with a local fast food place that could beat there customer service at a 200%!!! So upsetting.

Waitress was a smart aaleck kind of rude, and even when she placed our orders correctly, she continued to undermine the request to leave items at the table. She disregarded my sister, who was mind you the one paying. The food tasted fine, but I didnt actually get to enjoy it because the chefs didnt read the notes the waitress left on the items request such as no cilantro and no onions, which my brother in law is allergic to. My niece also requested a drink, and it never arrived at the table. The place was moderately busy with half the tables in the place empty. This experience, as a whole, was extremely upsetting as this is the place my niece chose to come to for her coming of age birthday.

Food was good... however the issue I ran into was that I was not told upfront that there would be a 12% takeout charge that actually shows on my receipt as Gratuity. This makes a big difference because if I wouldve known I wouldve just dined in. And, although the young ladies who were working the hostess station were nice they not only did not know much about menu but did not care much to find out or ask someone. My brother had to go in the restaurant and ask a question they didnt have an answer for.

Our server Drew was awesome. He was the high point of our meal. The food was the low point. My kids scarfed theirs down but they usually do so who knows if their meals were cooked properly. My wife had the carnitas street tacos and they might as well have been street oil in a pan. There was so much oil coming out of the tacos it was pretty gross. I had the stuffed poblano and the inside was cold. It was cooked but obviously it had been premade and then frozen (which I get in a resort that has to pump out meal after meal) but it was not reheated to a temperature that melted the cheese in the stuffing. I would not eat here again, if you were visiting this resort and wanted Mexican or TexMex, you could Uber to so many other places that were really close and sooooo much better.

While staying at the kalahari resort we decided to have Mexican food for diner on Christmas day here. This place has a few vegetarian options. We tried the Mexican cesar salad and it was very good. My wife had the tortilla soup and my son had the rice and bean burrito with tater tots and some guacamole. Overall very good and would definitely recommend and go back in the future. Vegetarian options: Ok guac and Mexican Caesar salad

Cinco Niños is always a stop when we come to Kalahari. Our kids love the chicken and my husband and I love the shrimp tacos. We re from San Antonio so it s a great home away from home. Our server Alexandra was so sweet and amazing. 10/10
