Was looking for a new place to eat every day as my original place is getting kinda boring. Went in twice and one day I just enough to cover the bill so I figured next time Ill leave a fat tip to make up for this time. Especially since its the same 4 people everytime I go. Bill came the final time I went and the old man came up and said No tip?! Are we offering bad service?! I was so taken back the entitlement... All they did was come once to take an order, drop it off, and refilled my tea once. Not like they were waiting on me hand and foot or even double checking I needed anything else. I wont be returning. Missed out on 5 days a week returning customer but Ill just check out other places in there area for lunch from now on.

I ordered shrimp fried rice spicy with, extra white onions, green onions, and bean sprouts. My order took about 5 minutes and it was out. I get home to eat and I am crunching down on raw white onions and bean sprouts. Not a good taste in fried rice. I suspect that the cook just threw in the vegetables and stirred them up in the rice without cooking them by themselves. I called to let them know and the manager said that since I am complaining she is going to give me a 10% discount the next time I come in and to not order white onions in my rice, since I do not like the way that they cook it. I told her to keep your 10% because I will never order from your restaurant again. The nerve of people. She didn t apologize or take my complaint seriously. She just dismissed my complaint as if she has delt with me before. Customers are the ones keeping your restaurant open, without us, you would have no business!!! All I ask is to take my complaint with some consideration.

I ve gone to fortune garden many times however today will be my last time going to this location. First of all a lady came to check on how my boyfriend and I s food was and I said good like always with a smile on my face and she just said mmhmm rolled her eyes and walked away. I understand that people can have a bad day but this is a pretty normal interaction with the people at this restaurant. What was even worse to see was that the man who is normally there greeted the table next to us with a smile, asking them how they are, and being so nice to them. Even giving them refills on their drinks when my boyfriend s water was empty almost half the time we were there and he didn t refill our drinks ever. He constantly passed by our table and did not provide the same service to us like the other tables. My boyfriend and I were very upset and he chose not to tip them due to the horrible service and the man grabbed his card from his hand aggressively nodded his head and did not allow my boyfriend to pay. This is beyond not okay. Last time coming here and telling all my friends this crazy story so they don t go here.

We had dinner tonight and the food was great. Had generals Taos chicken? (I think that s what s called) husband liked it, my daughter had the orange chicken and I had a Vietnamese dish with grilled pork, egg meatloaf, fried egg and veggies (can t remember the name ). Everything was good and it arrived within 5-minutes. Oh I also had the steamed dumplings, some crunchy pastry with crab inside, and wonton soup!! As you can see it was a lot of food! We took 3 boxes home. Large portions for sure!! Will be back

First of all, the won ton soup and shrimp Kung Pow were wonderful. The cook must put her knowledge and heart into what she does. Too bad the wait staff acts as if they hate life and hate what they do. When we walked in the hostess threw a couple of menus and are silver and napkins on a table and we assumed that was our rable. No eye contact, no greeting. The waiter came. I got the impression he too hated his job. No expression. If you can overlook the wait staff, the food is great.

I went for lunch, and as soon as I entered, the man crumpled the menu and fork and put them down. I only ordered one set of spring rolls, but I got two sets. Since I couldnt cut it, I decided to just eat it and came out with two rice noodles, pan-fried noodles, and calamari. The pan fried noodles and calamari were smaller than usual. I ordered pan fried noodles as seafood, but it was given as a combo. The staff had an unfriendly attitude, there was no apology for the wrong order, and the food came out less than usual, so I didnt want to tip. When I only took 10 percent, he said the minimum was 18 percent and asked for a tip. I dont want to go next time. I went to this place often, but I felt so bad.

My mom and i visited fortune garden next to specs in round rock on 11/29. We were greeted by a very nice lady who sat us and thats where the service ended. We were there for 2 minutes before the waiter approached us and in the lowest tone asked if we were going to order. As i was ordering a drink my who is hard of hearing didn t understand what he was asking so when i asked her what she wanted to drink the waiter shooed us off and said forget it and walked off. My mom and I got up and left. DO NOT EAT HERE. If you want better service and food go to Saigon 512 on old settlers instead

My girlfriend and I were looking for a place close by the hospital that our friend was recovering in, and Fortune Garden popped up in the search. What a great, serendipitous occurrence! The place is clean and cozy, with wonderful staff and fantastic food. The flavor of the dishes is complex and pleasing, and the portions are the perfect size. We have found a new Chinese/Vietnamese restaurant to add to our list!

I ordered chicken fried rice, Kung pao chicken, and egg drop soup. The chicken fried rice was very good, with a lot of flavor. The Kung pan chicken has way too many bell peppers and water chestnuts. There was a good amount of chicken, but the sauce used was not very flavorful. I can only give it a 3-star rating. The problem is that the egg drop soup was rotten. Perhaps the egg used was spoiled, but this just ruined the whole experience. I had one spoon of the soup and had to throw it away. This was very disappointing.

Every pay day for me I have started doing crab rangoon night. I get a double order of rangoons (16) and nothing else. These rangoons are destroyed over the course of an hour or two. Every time they are delicious and piping hot. They are smooth and creamy, and just a little spicy, which you wouldnt notice eating a few but builds up after a bit. This surprised me since Im allergic to most spicy foods (allergic to a lot of peppers used) but I never have a reaction. This is always a worry for me and I essentially have to pregame with benadryl every time I go out and come to terms with no beer while I eat. Not here though! They are also a bit less expensive than all the other rangoons around (I did the math, and theyre about 11 cents cheaper) and they give you more. I dont know if the rest of the menu is good, but my mom and her husband liked the egg drop and wonton soups they got when I last ordered. I can and will continue to order here every payday. Rangoon gang for life!

Parking: Parking is plentiful and free. Wheelchair accessibility: There are several places for wheelchair to get on to sidswalk to enter restaurant. I do not know if the cooks at Fortune Garden were having a personal bad day, but the experience I had was not pleasant. We ordered Salt and Pepper Tofu, General Tsos Chicken (Lunch), Beef Lo Mein, and some egg rolls. First off, the Salt and Pepper Tofu was overcooked to the point that it resembled styrofoam. It was hard and unfortunately, I can tell that it would have tasted decent if it was fried for the correct amount of time. It was inedible. Second was the General Tsos Chicken (Lunch). The sauce was okay, but the chicken was dry and overcooked as well. The Hot and Sour soup that came with it tasted like it has been in a unregulated vat since the previous day. Overly slimy and no flavor. I received egg rolls with the lunch meal and they were undercooked. I decided to air fry them so they are crispy, and they ended up tasting flavorless. Lastly, the Beef Lo Mein..... I do not understand how 2/3 dishes that we received taste like nothing. It taste like sad. Like someone is having a bad day or month or life. Whoever was cooking today definitely showed their feelings through the food today, because it made me sad. The quality probably reduced due to being takeout, but if the food was seasoned and cooked properly, I do not think the quality would go down that much. Maybe Ill try again, but I was left disappointed and had to reach out to my delivery service for assistance.

I ordered general tso s chicken, and it was decent. The pieces are pretty large, good flavor but they don t give you a knife. Main reason for this rating is due to service, absolutely awful. This is a go to place for us. The food always leaves us happy and full. I m partial to the pork noodle soup. The beef lomein portions are generous and it is tasty. We always seem to get the chicken and broccoli and kung pao chicken. The kung pao chicken has some kick to it, but not to spicy. A new favorite of mine is the lemon grass beef. I am annoyed at myself that I didn t discover it sooner.

ABSOLUTE WORSE Chinese food ever in my life of over 50 years. Perhaps I ordered the worst dish on the menu, but if not, then its basically frozen food, unseasoned and heated individually, then placed together on a plate with some sauce provided for you to mix yourself. I ordered sweet and sour chicken. It was a large serving of breaded chicken served on a plate with thinly sliced carrots, uncolorful white pineapple chunks and sliced bell peppers scattered on top with a large container of room temperature sweet and sour sauce served on the side. The chicken had no flavor at all whatsoever and warm at best, not hot. Truthfully, sweet and sour sauce poured over McNuggets wouldve been way better. On the positive, the egg rolls were were pretty good and the fried rice was okay, bland, but ok.

This place is so so good. We come every week for pho. This week I got shrimp pho, and it had SO MANY shrimps in it. The broth is delicious and the veg provided was very fresh. My husband got my normal order: the pho with combined beef options. So good. We are also a huge fan of their egg drop soup and their hot and sour soup. Just perfect and hit the spot every time. Last week my husband got the sesame chicken and highly enjoyed it. We are also fans of the crab rangoon. The vibe in here is very chill and there is excellent service. You get your food very quickly. Highly recommend this place for your Vietnamese and Chinese food needs

Excellent customer service and the food was great, too! We ordered delivery through UberEats and our delivery driver left all our entrees at the restaurant and only delivered the appetizers. I called Fortune Garden and the manager offered to have the entrees delivered to us for a very minimal charge. They saved our dinner!! The food was even still warm. Normally love the food, but for some reason the chicken from the general tsos I got tonight was not edible (crunchy texture). I did receive my food 30 min after I ordered, did not re heat. But I ve worked around the food industry and know when something has been frozen too long then cooked. Didn t feel too well during the meal, has been this way last 2/3 times hope this helps fix a supply or storage issue. The chicken meat used to be amazing and taste very fresh. Haven t tried the beef or pork but the staff here is amazing and it s very clean convenient and nice location

We had read some good reviews about Fortune Garden on one of the neighborhood apps and finally decided to try it for ourselves. The food was all very good and the service was great. Overall, very glad that we finally tried it, we will definitely be back.

We had a sad week after losing one of our family member and decided to go eat at this place. Waited long time to get the order. Then We ordered 4 different dishes, plus egg rolls and soup. Egg rolls and soup came on timely manners but other 4 dishes came out of kitchen 8-10 minutes apart. We were so hungry that we needed to share each other food until the next food comes out. Food quality Blow Avg. but kitchen Managment is the worse I ever seen. I wouldn t go there anymore.

So I needed some sweet and sour sauce, I was told my dishes don t come with it and I would need to buy a cup of it for a $1, no big deal. The problem I had was that the cup was LESS than half full. I requested the cup to be filled up all the way and I was then told that I would need to buy another cup because they don t fill them up all the way. Really?? You are in America!! I m just not too hip on a Chinese restaurant not accommodating request for sweet and sour sauce. That would be like chick fila or McDonald s not giving ketchup or sauce with their food. Paid $25 for 2 meals and couldn t even get a full cup of sauce that I paid for. Food was not as great as I remembered it either. Definitely won t be returning here for my Asian food.

Horrible. Order yesterday evening and my order was given away so I had to wait again. Then got all the way home and juices spilled all in bag . The worst was eating the General TSO chicken. It was like they just threw chunks of chicken into sauce. Anywhere else batters their chicken and cooks it in the sauce. This didn t even taste like General TSO Chicken. My mom said her orange chicken was to tough to eat. Also our rice wasn t in our separate container ls . They just piled about 6 helpings of Rice in a big container. We don t eat that much. Living in different city to far to come back to get refund. Was told I would get a refund. I ll never go again.

We got there a half hour after they opened for the day and the floors in the whole property including the restrooms were very sticky. Our shoes stuck to the floor everywhere we walked. The trash can in the mens restroom was overflowing onto the floor. The waitress was not knowledgeable about the facts of the food on the menu and the food itself was very mediocre. Will not ever return to this dirty place.

Over the last 3-6 months this place has declined in their service and quality. At this point, I can no longer recommend it. I truly will bend over backwards to find reasons for missteps. It was a very disappointing dining experience. We ate there with some friends the other night. When we arrived, there were two tables with customers. For being kind of empty, we were seated on the slow side. It took several minutes for the waitress to bring us menus. We asked for real menus or paper menus instead of using the QR code. The waitress told us she didnt have any but then a few moments she brought us 2 real menus. They were slow at getting our drinks out. Once we placed our orders, it took quite a long time to get our food. The serving girls were rude. Others who came in after us got their food before us. Our plates were brought out separately. They brought out the rice but no entrée until several minutes later. We had to ask for our soup, which came way after the entrée. We asked a few times for some crispy noodles and they never made it to the table. On the plus side, the food was really good. The service was not friendly but just RUDE and SLOW.

The last two experiences for carryout has been disappointing. I use to love their lo mein. Last time I ordered it the flavor was off. Tonight the flavor was burnt. The fortune delight was tasting burnt too. Only thing I did like tonight was the fried shrimp with onions and jalapeños and lemon pepper sauce. Probably the last time I am going this year. The short version. Food is ok. Service is clearly lacking. After leaving Bass Pro Shop for a Sunday afternoon errand, I decided I wanted some Chinese food and saw this place was nearby and open for dine-in. Some of the reviews were really good and I thought it was worth a try, especially when I saw a sign in the window that said Dine In Welcome. When I walked in, I was greeted from the counter and told to sit anywhere. I was able to scan their menu from my phone. I then ordered my iced tea. No sweetener on the table. I asked for it and it never showed up until I asked for it on a second visit to the table. Otherwise, the service was hit or miss on checking by the table even though less than three tables were occupied. And other than the silverware and the sweetener, the tables were empty -- and the staff wasnt friendly, so I didnt feel comfortable asking for lemon for the tea or soy for the rice or entree. Food -- very mixed. The steamed potstickers were as good as any in town, if not better. Oddly, he rice for my entrée came out with the potstickers. Then the General Tsos Chicken came out VERY quickly after that. The chicken dish was dry and the sauce didnt really stick to the chicken nor did it add much flavor (or heat) to the chicken. And with as quickly as everything I ordered came out, Im not sure that much of this wasnt pre-made as other reviewers have surmised. While I dont venture to this part of Round Rock often, Id definitely skip this. Their price point was slightly above average and I can pay less money where I get better food from people who appreciate my business.

Appetizer was delicious, my husband loved his pho but my food was not on par... I ordered pan fried noodles with pork. Pork was good but some of the noodles were just really chewy and uneditable. I ordered something else which was a chicken rice noodle bowl and chicken was off... I know that especially with covid happening its hard to keep fresh but my chicken tasted like it was frozen and cooked and then refrigerated... Staff was just meh seemed a little annoyed with me... Anyways it was okay but overall awkward experience... Use to be different 2 years ago. Definitely could have gotten something better for the money we spent. Sorry Fortune Garden I hope things get a little better for you guys.

The lady who greeted us and took our order was extremely rude. Left they out bowls on the table and they all lioked the same so we had to ask which one was for what person. This place used to be awesome, especially when they first opened. Sad to say its gone downhill since then went in to order food to go. Women did not take down my order right, and for sweet and sour chicken and got seaseme, asked for fried rice, paid extra dollar for fried rice, and did not get fried rice. Also very little meat in the Pho. My order took all of 9 minutes to get out, too quick for good food. I know were in the middle of a pandemic. But, come on people!! Very disappointed, no more trips here.

First time to eat here. My daughter and I called in our order for pickup. It was a 30 minute drive. We ordered the chicken fried rice and the seafood fried rice and some wontons. Food is ok. Service is horrible. I had been going to this restaurant to buy spring rolls for several weeks, since it was the closest Vietnamese place to my house. Until a couple of days ago when a lady that seemed like the owner or manager told me that I should buy a gift card. I asked her why, and whether I would get a discount or additional credit with the gift card. She told me no. So, I asked her why would I buy a gift card, if I m not getting anything in return. My husband and I came in yesterday. Restaurant is clean. Server is a little pushy of what we decided on. Hot and Sour soup was delicious! Husband had the egg drop soup he liked it very much. He ordered the General Tso was fresh, hot and good sized chunks of chicken. I had ordered the Shrimp Basil. Menu read it contained mushrooms, there was not a single piece of mushroom in the dish. I had a ton of carrots, onion, bamboo shoots and celery with a decent amount of shrimp... but no mushroom. Good amount of seasoning but was chalky . Huge portions that was better reheated at home. Food was fresh and hot that was served quickly.
