Well, I wish the new owners the best of luck but Ill never be going back. They tried to charge me 58 dollars for 2 pounds of brisket. This is Dickies lol. So I went with half a pound of lean and half a pound of moist. You literally cannot tell the difference. And please dont reply with a canned response of how sorry you are. Its too late. Orders the 3 meat plate and the brisket plate. Asked for sliced brisket and got chopped. Saw the advertisement photo so we were expecting to see the same portion size. Our food looked nothing like the advertisement and the portion sizes were extremely small. No pickles or onions to go with our meal. Got home and tasted the food and the meat was extremely dry and hint or taste of BBQ. Our sides were Mac and cheese and potatoe salad. We had to season the watery Mac n cheese which hardly helped. The cheese had a funny after taste. This was our first time and we were very disappointed.

Few days back i visisted dickeys barbecue with my friends and tried delicious food! The ambience is quite nice. Neat and clean in almost every aspect. The polished wooden floor combined with beautifully designed comfortable chairs and the well-lit environment makes for a great place to arrange gatherings, birthday parties and other events. I liked it. The food was so flavourful and affordable. Now come to food! Food we ordered, Marinated chicken breast plate + 2 sides Fries Its taste like an heaven. It was very delicious and mouthwatering! . If you are a bbq lover then this place for you! OVERALL EXPERIENCE: 10/10 Taste i will never forget ( Good and Unique) Staff was friendly Taste was exceptional Highly recommended

Ive lived in Round Rock a few years and dickeys was my GO To BBQ spot. I havent been in a while bc the last couple of times we ordered online they canceled out order due to running out of whatever we ordered. And didnt get our money back for 5-7 business days. Apparently their portion size dropped..probably considering they used to run out of food. We paid $38 for kids meal portions. The brisket was 2 slices of fat and the chicken was like 2 oversized nuggets. The chicken was so dry! And the fries...lol you can count. We got charged a renew/recycle program fee no clue why...we were gonna order drinks but no ice. It is hot as hell inside the building and outside, were in TEXAS...Its like 103° today...I called to ask if the portion size changed and basically wanted more food or my money back for one of the meals. And the manager said to return the food for our money back. I worked in the service industry for years and have never responded to a complaint like that. I weighed out the meat and it was .7lbs of brisket .3lbs of actual meat. The chicken was .8lbs smh...the mac n cheese was beyond minimal...never going back. I would return the food but I dont want to be rude to someone just doing their job its a waste of time and money...go to Bill millers lol

This was by far the worst Dickys I ve ever been to. I went in and placed a decent sized order and then went to use my Birthday free pulled porch sandwich from the app and was told no as they never seen the app. She told me they couldn t honor it because they didn t know anything about an app. I told her to cancel my whole order and then ordered just the pulled pork sandwich on the app. That pissed the lady off and then when I got the sandwich they had to have purposely added a ton of salt as it was absolutely dreadful and I can feel the salt in my mouth. Obviously corporate don t care about this rogue location as they have the worst rating of all dickys ive seen

I came here tonight to pick up dinner and spent $89.10 I also nearly died tonight too from choking on their extremely dry brisket. Im not sure what wood they use to smoke their meats but that one bite of brisket that almost took me out was very bitter tasting. Luckily I had a Pepsi in hand and could quickly wash down the beef jerkey. Im scared to try anything else I ordered so needless to say I will never order from here ever again.

I wanted to give this place a try and TBH I don t know if I ever want to order from here again. The brisket and pork were both dry and not seasoned the load potato casserole was pretty mediocre, but I did like the way the sauces were on the side instead of the sandwich. I ve have better brisket at Buc-ees. First and last time eating from this location I had high hopes because I love BBQ, but I was disappointed.

This place USED.to be pretty good with their bbq turkey sandwich (which they no longer have). My husband and I went to eat there and he got the brisket sandwich which looked like dried out strands of meat and he said it was bad (and he usually doesn t complain about food) and I got the chicken breast sandwich which was pieces of chicken covered in bbq sauce. I don t even think it was bbq d chicken. It looked and tasted like regular cut up pieces of chicken tossed in sauce. Based on our experience I don t see this place making it long and would not recommend it to anyone looking for bbq. There are too many other really good bbq places to go.

Stay away. WORST service ever. Picked up may 10th for Mother s Day dinner with my mom. They gave us half the amount of meat we paid for in poor condition (shriveled, dry, pulled apart ribs). Took it back and asked for replacement and in the correct quantity. Employees admitted they screwed up but say they have no ribs. Asked for a refund. They sit there whispering to each other and avoiding eye contact to then say they can t access the system. No one is a mgr/sup so I say call your boss. They then give me a number to someone who identified as Jason the corporate finance director who says he needs to call the owner for permission to issue a refund?! Said he would call me back, never did. Meanwhile the employees took the food. So I got to walk out with no food, not even a single apology from any employee, and they stole my money. Absolutely disgusting and ridiculous behavior. Stay far away from these crooks. The quality of the food has gone so far downhill it s not worth dealing with the endless parade of employees that don t care.

This place has been shutdown by the health department as of 04/27/24. They will still send promotion text and emails. They will even go as far as accepting your money for an order that you will never receive via theyre website. I arrived to pick up my order a few days ago and was met with a big yellow sign. Nothing good can come from the whole staff being 16 years old playing restaurant. Im not surprised at the outcome.

I would ve liked to say eat your heart out but there s not much to feast on. $18 on a three meat plate and this is what you get. I m sorry, I feel ripped off. We called to make sure the portion size were correct and was told 3oz of meat for each . So, 2 pieces of brisket and 6 pieces of sausage is what you get. The meat was so dry. & don t order the sweet tea, the most sweetness it has is maybe a teaspoon of sugar (if that). I will NEVER eat here again. Where to start? I ll keep it short and sweet for you. Don t go. Found a rock/black pebble inside my meat - unreal but true. Almost broke my tooth. Didn t make a fuzz about it. Simply told the waitress. She was happy to take the brisket away with an apology. Replaced the brisket. Proceeded to eat and found a hair outside my plate hmmm I eat a questionable places so this doesn t quite faze me. But if you don t have a stomach for this sort of stuff - can t blame you. Here is why. The quality of food: Not good. 1. Chicken: Dry and inert - no real juiciness or even a good flavor. Chicken tends to run dry but this was another level. 2. Brisket: Good color. No smokiness or flavor and dry as heck too. 3. Beans - not BBQ but nah alright 4. Portions - don t expect much - not generous

I happened to be in the area so I picked up a 3 meat plate from a T-Mobile promotion. The portions are small for $19. And what are these two clumps of chicken? Chicken breast doesn t look like this and this isn t what they advertise in their pictures. All the meat was dry and overcooked. I arrived early for my pickup and it was already waiting for who knows how long in the heating box. And there were no customers there while Pita Fusion next door was packed. Place use to be great, bright, clean & friendly staff. Now its run down, & dirty. The staff looks like they dont want to be there. The ceiling is filthy. They used to have sauce out for self-serve. They no longer have that and they have a office chair in the dining room as a seat for customers by the chip rack .Signage by the register with handwritten prices $22 for three meat plate and a small drink. The Meat was extremely overcooked .This place really needs to be shut down. Absolutely disgusting.

I use to love this place, great brisket and sausage. Now, the brisket has no flavor and the sausage has a mushy texture like it has been boiled. The counter staff was nice and very helpful. Is this a new owner now? My team and I were regulars here and it is very different now. I use to get the sliced chicken plate at dickies the chicken was so tender and juicy. I got home I had 3 chunks of dried chicken breast The sides are way smaller and instead of green beans they messed up and gave me baked beans that are not even as good as canned. All for $20. I am a Facilities Director for another brand and responsible for over 250 locations. I try to be very lenient with my people and not hyper critical. This place however would cause me to probably fire a few people and spend thousands of $$ to correct. It s filthy. And in complete disrepair. With an open kitchen it s easy to spot there are no routine cleaning procedures enforced. Years of caked up grease and food deposits on and under equipment, The ceiling tiles are coated in grease and never cleaned. The dimkndispensers may get rinsed at best once a week or so. They have a proofing cabinet operating I the dining room with open containers of food in it. The men s room Is out of order likely due to back up not being repaired. Had to use the ladies room that was filthy. Plunger beside toilet coated in toilet paper and filth. Soap dispenser empty and rolof paper towels was soaked. The floors through out dining room was sticky and I kept, and several products were out. Base boards filthy, light fixtures either missing bulbs or have several different temps of bulbs, And trash cans over flowing. All The while the staff of three sat at a table in the dim on b room other phones. The food had a decent flavor as I reluctantly ate it. My 8y/o son wanted BBQ and I was not going to upset him by making him leave. We will not be returning.

Like the other reviewer stated this place should be closed down. This has to be a franchise, the store was ran by a 14 y.o. boy. The employees look like they were scared. The food I ordered yesterday was horrible I order two 2 meat plates brisket links and chicken. My mouth was watering for some BBQ. First my brisket had a mix of chopped fat and burnt pieces. It was slimmy. Just disgusting tasting. The chicken was so dry I was choking I had to take a drink after each bite. I just said forget it. I gave up on this food the mac had no seasoning. I was so disappointed! They need some help. The store need to be seriously deep cleaned. Its just nasty in there. I do not see how this place has passed its health inspections.

This is overpriced for what you get. The brisket is dry and flavorless and the ribs are severely overcooked. If you are looking for good BBQ, go somewhere else. Been coming here for years and like most places post-pandemic it just seems to not have recovered. I always get the chicken but the past few visits the chicken has been terrible. Its way overcooked and an awful experience to eat. I get in earlier around 11:30ish so I assume Im getting leftovers from the previous day that have been sitting under the heater all night. Completely unacceptable to think that that meat can be served to a customer and at $20 a plate without a drink. Sides are fine and staff is friendly enough. But if a BBQ places meat isnt appetizing its not going to be long before people just stop coming all together. If I do return I will make it a point to staff to pull fresh chicken, though it should not be on the customer to do so.

This place should be shutdown!!! The bakers potato was a hit at one time and then when I started noticing 2 small potatoes instead of 1 big potato, I SHOULD HAVE RUN FOR THE HILLS. Today I got a 3 meat plate: 1 rib, 3 jalapeño sausage pieces, and 3 silver dollar size pieces of brisket. The sausage tasted spoiled, the brisket was like eating beef jerky, and the 1 rib also looked and tasted spoiled. $19 for this nonsense. Picked up food we ordered online. I guess they have new management. Used to be youd get a big potatoe all buttery and filled to the brim with toppings and the chopped beef had the bbq sauce mixed in with it. Today we got a dry potatoe, not much butter, and the chopped beef was just that not sauced up like before. Also, I got the western combo, and I thought the sausage came on the side. They put it in the sandwich and there wasnt nearly as much beef as there used to be. Also, I asked for the cheesy sausage and they gave plain. The okra was yum. I just think for spending nearly $30, they could stop skimping on toppings and make sure the order is correct.

Wife and I stopped to get an early quick dinner - ordered the LARGE baked potato with BBQ. The clerk pulled out 2 potatoes from the warmer and 2 from the pit (as they call it). Well 2 of the potatoes was not fully cooked, and not but luke warm. This dish comes with 2 potatoes put side by side. One side was hot and one was not. The BBQ preparer did not know what she was doing... I asked to have it nuked but they do not have a microwave, so they put it into the warmer well the BBQ prep person only a couple minutes later opened the warmer for other stuff and left the door wide open.... Now the taste of the BBQ - not very good and the amount of meat on the potato was very skimpy. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE!!! The mgr gave a card for a free pulled pork sandwich since our meal was not satisfactory, well to get this free sandwich a purchase of one of their $3.00 drink cups is required.... What a rip off, especially when I saw the size of the sandwiches... they looked the size of a kids hamburger. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY HERE

My girlfriend recently broke up with me and my wife filed for a divorce and kicked me out of the house. I ended up losing my job and was left with nothing but with the 20 dollars I had left I stopped by this bbq place. The people were very nice and welcoming and the man named Ethan helped me with my order. I ordered the pulled pork combo along with some fries. I ate it with tears in my eyes for it was so delicious. I had a nice conversation with this man and he said something very wise, there are no bunk beds in the graveyard. It made me reflect on my life and I walked out a new man. A month later I am now running my own cafe flourishing all thanks to this young man. 10/10 you will be enlightened visiting this place.

Ordered 2 for 1 chicken sandwiches online. Once I got home, I found out that they were just slices of chicken on a bun - completely plain - when the sandwiches pictured on the ad I ordered from had pickles and onions. I dont ask for much; just prepare my food AS ADVERTISED unless I specify otherwise. Either train your staff or change the online ordering so others dont have to deal with this.

My family and I would go here all the time and I was subscribed to their specials. On this occasion, they would not honor it unless I stood there and ordered it on my phone. Never been the case before and not stated on the special. I was about to order food for the whole family which is normally close to $100. Manager didnt care either and showed me the door. They are not the only BBQ place in town so lost a customer being stubborn and RUDE!

Haven t been there in over a year. Went down there today considering how good it had been in the past. Worst service I ve had in a while. You can tell they don t care, the body language screams it. The food wasn t good. Sausage was cold and didn t seemed cooked, ordered fries and okra with it after paying I was told they were out of fries. The okra was under cooked. Don t see me going back, the price of gas and the cost of the bbq with the poor quality makes it not worth it.

Always great, fast bbq Wheelchair accessibility: Regular shopping center accessible parking in front. No auto doors but wide enough to enter. Ordering will be a little difficult as you must maneuver down to the start of the line, then turn around to walk down the line and order.

Today 7/5 Ordered thru Uber eats almost 100 bucks worth of food for pick up. When I get there they cancel my order due to some items not available. I get it things run out, but ur job is to call and let the customer know items are unavailable. didn t call me directly to see if I want to exchange for anything. Instead they call Uber to cancel. Very unprofessional.

Update: Decided to give it another try & I give 5 stars. Good service. Not sure why Im even giving 2 stars but I am... 1st I order online & place order by 8:20pm. I get email saying itll be ready by 8:43pm.. I get here @ 8:50 because I drove from Austin & order not ready. Them the guy working tells me I they aint going to get to my order because they are closing & I say well one I ordered online at 8:23p & then I just drove 25 mins from Austin to get here & he looks at the computer & says okay... They make my order then but now I have to wait.... While making it the lady tells me there is no Mac and cheese so I just say give me corn to leave. This was such a bad experience & I dont & wont recommend or coming back.

I Jane been ordering from them for quite some time but be warned- every delivery order is incorrect. I dont know why they ask if you want pickles and onions- they never send them! And forgive me for wanting BBQ sauce with my order! They never send that either... Am I supposed to choke down my nrisket and ribs?? I call and let them know and they say they are just busy. The three stars I have are because I like the food. I am going to have to find another BBQ place.:(

Worst experience ever at a dickeys, cashier was so incompetent asked us 4 times what we wanted to drink, left our food on the serving line for almost 10min and then forgot what our sides were, then asked what we wanted for sauce and didnt bring it till we were almost done. To top the whole experience off my brisket and sausage sandwich and my coworkers pulled pork and sausage sandwich where both cold, not left out room temp but right out of the fridge cold. Informed the guy cutting meat and all we got was a sorry... I will never come back again.

Im highly satisfied with the customer service that they have here at this restaurant. I walked in my very first time there at that restaurant and the people who actually helped me out were really nice and courteous. They explained to me every detail on the menu including fixings, sides things like that I can have other options etc. I would definitely be coming back to this restaurant again because of how good the food is and how extremely helpful the staff is.

Ill give this place 5 stars for the food. The turkey I had today was amazing! Possibly the best Ive had at any Dickeys. The mac and cheese was also better than most. I would rate the staff a 3 though. First, I will never understand how anyone thinks that a mask is doing any good at all when its worn under the chin. Every employee in this store, including the ones making the food, was wearing their mask that way. The cashier also needs to pay attention a little better to what hes doing. The guy making my sandwich very loudly told him exactly what I ordered. The cashier even served the mac and cheese himself. Then he asked me what I ordered...and subsequently asked me if I had any sides with it! I said you mean like the mac and cheese that you literally just put in that container 10 seconds ago?. Based on the quality of the meal I would definitely eat here again...but I would hope that the staff could maybe take this COVID outbreak a little more seriously and actually put on their masks they way theyre supposed to be worn.

Horrible customer service. I ordered two baked potatoes and they did not include bbq sauce in my order. When I spoke to the manager who said he was the owner/operator he only offered to deliver the bbq sauce to me. By the time he would have gotten here, the food would have gone cold. I told him that I did not feel right paying full price for my food. He laughed at this comment and told me to take it up with Doordash to get this taken care of. DONT GET BBQ FROM HERE! There are plenty of other places in Austin with much better bbq and better customer service.

First time, and last time eating there. Brisket and Sausage tasted like a couple of days old (paying for it now). The exhasut inside is obviously not working correctly. Clothes smelling like a smoke house which is now apparent in my vehicle. The 2 guys behind the counter kept arguing with each other. Stay away.

Ordered the XL Pack from the Round Rock location today. Picked up the order on time. There were two employees working: one packing the order and one taking the order. I noticed my order was missing two medium sides (potato salads). Informed the employee who took care of it. When I was almost home, I also noticed they forgot to include the 8 dinner rolls. It wasnt busy. There was only one customer in front of me and another behind me. There is a lack of quality check to insure the order is complete. Some of the brisket was sliced too thick and some are dried.

From the missing D in the sign to the incredibly dirty ceiling above the prep area, we should have just turned around and left. But, knowing that some of the best BBQ comes from some real holes in the wall, we decided to give it a test. We ordered three sliders: chicken, pulled pork, brisket. The chicken was okay, but the pulled pork was unfavorable and the brisket had just the faintest hint of a red line. But the greatest sins were the sides. A small side of beans was $3.50. Not more than three or four teaspoons worth of pork and beans. Straight from a can. $3.50 for 12 cents worth of canned beans. Same for the Cole slaw. Very disappointed. We will not be returning.
