Absolutely delicious, not sure why the low stars or bad reviews. Service could have been better but they accommodated us right before closing time (we had just checked in) so we were very grateful. I had the BBQ Mac and cheese with add-ons and my husband had some concoction with hot dogs lol. We both wanted more the next day.

The mac n cheese was really good. The taco mac was cheesy, creamy and delicious and the noodles werent overcooked which was a good bonus.

Great atmosphere, was quickly served. Food looked great tasted great, and they are allergen friendly!!! Dietary restrictions: My sister is gluten free and they had gluten free options for Mac! Kid-friendliness: All the kids here loved this place!!

Not much od service since its automated order when the lines are long.... the mac and cheese is definitely cheesey but just near the borderline ... get the chicken bacon and ranch..... and add the taco meat for added protein and flavor... the chicken is shredded and is easy on the pallet....couldnt eat in peace since randoms were asking if it good.... they good tell with the smile on our faces

Macs is an amazing new addition to Kalahari in Round Rock. Kalahari being from the Wisconsin Dells has brought an amazing food concept also from the Wisconsin Dells to Round Rock. Food is great and love the hot Mac creations. The restaurant was crammed in however and not given a large enough space. Prices are a bit high because they are in the resort, kids meal portion is a rip off, not worth the price and wish they would offer locals a regular discount not just on special days. I would call if the best option families have at Kalahari, everything else is overpriced food you can get the same or better across the street or down the road.

The food changed. Back then let s say around April the food was incredible I always got the mamas meal, but now recently the food doesn t hit the same. It s not as good as it was before I m not sure if they changed chef s but all I know is that the food is disappointing and a letdown. If they did change the chef then please bring back the old one they know what they were doing this new chef does not.

Would have easily received five stars but the employees of this place seem like they have no life in them. Management should either considering hiring others or retraining. Here s a couple examples: - When we walked up to the screen to place our order, an employee just looked at us no Hi. No Hello. Not a care in the world. - I walked up and asked if I could have a Togo container behind the counter. The employee replies Can you get it yourself ? Well excuse me Usually customers are not allowed behind the counter. As for the food, it was very tasty and filling. Be careful with customizing any dishes. They are extremely expensive. Drinks are also very unreasonably priced. We might return again. We are actually locals that live nearby and were not staying at the resort. Our return depends on if they improve their staff. - Follow for more thorough reviews of places in Texas and beyond!

The cheese could be sharper and the sauce lacked flavor and they could redo the prices because the Mac n cheese is bland the cheese had no sharpness for what was charged the flavor was lacking in the Mac and cheese dont know how it could be flavorless I used the standard Mac n cheese baked for the baseline and it wasnt anything to write home about it was not Mac in cheese the flavor needed help the sharpness that you get from good cheese wasnt even available I wouldnt pay for that again because the price wasnt worth it and I just think the cheese sauce could be alot better with the higher quality cheese it was so bad Im use to Quality soul food mac n cheese and i was not impressed with it at all lower the prices or use better cheese that shaper tasting yes it looked better then it tasted but the flavor wasnt good.

The woman that wited on me to give me my food. Never smiled left my togo order in the window until the 5 person order that she was working on finished. This took 10 minutes lo ger than mine. Once I received my food it was so disappointing. I love Mac and cheese and I can safely say it was the worst I have ever had. Sitting here with my stomach turning wishing I had went to the steakhouse.

The ratio of Mac to cheese made this borderline inedible. It was almost a soup there was so much sauce and so few noodles. With a thick layer of melted cheese on top. Maybe some of the options with more inclusions are better, but I dont know how anyone could enjoy the basic Mamas Mac. The place was clean, the service was good, and the staff was nice.

Had Mamas Mac and Cheese and Loaded Baked Potato Mac and Cheese. Mine has potatoes under all that bacon, and was delicious and looked more delicious than the Mamas version that had hot dogs on top. Their soda machine was down and they offered bottled drinks, but a bottled lemonade was $4.00, and bottled soda $3.75! We should have skipped the drinks and had water cups at the convention hall. I wondered why the tip suggestion was 15%, 20%, and 25% when nobody brings your food to you. It seems the tip is for how they clean up after you. Seems high for something that used to be only a couple of dollar bills.. maybe a $5 if you really made a mess.

Dont do add-ons, theyre a waste of money. I ordered extra chicken for my chipotle chicken mac (because I need the protein) and its almost as if they forgot to add the extra chicken. You also have to buy bottled drinks which cost an arm and a leg because youre paying those resort prices, youre better off just bringing in your own drink or not drinking anything at all. Now for my meal, it was overly cheesy. Some people might like that, but I didnt. My husband got the Memphis BBQ, which was 10x better than what I ordered (Chipotle) since it wasnt drowning in cheese. Portion sizes are decent, I ate about 1/4 of mine (couldnt finish it because it was super dense with all that cheese) while my husband ate all of his and we were both pretty full. Tried to get a to-go container, which took almost 5 minutes for a worker to ask me what I needed as they were too busy doing other things when no one was even ordering at the counter. Either way, willing to go back and try other things on the menu, maybe they can change my mind and my rating.

The good: Comfort food in good sized portions. Touch screen kiosk ordering with plenty of non-digital posted menus. Clean, open seating, nice atmosphere from the resort. Fun serving dishes, good service. Aluminum take out containers with paper-based tops. The bad: Customization is expensive; all add-ons are $2 or $3. I paid 2$ for a very light mix in of pico de gallo. All drinks $3.75 or more. Bottled water only at the time we went. Apparently this will be changing, and I hope to update my review then! We did not see any reusable drinking glasses, only single use plastic. Dessert options only available in single-serve plastic. Vegetarian options: Easy to remove items from the Mac dishes, plus a small salad menu.

I was hesitant to eat here given it was just opened, but the food was delicious although a touch expensive (50 and change for 3 people) but that is pretty normal for a resort. The portions were a good size and we all had left overs after. I d eat here again.

You order on a touchscreen. They have several macaroni bowls to choose from. Once you select, you can delete items then you can add items at additional cost. You select your beverage and then go grab it from the cooler. Finally you pay. My receipt was a blank slip of paper. They bring your food to the table. OMG was it delicious. Definitely go.
