It wasn t a good start. The host had the wrong name on the wait list so it took forever to be seated. After, our waiter was great. I ordered the country fried steak breakfast. It was delicious and finger licking good. It was so many choices to choose from, idk how I decided on CFS. I m glad I did, you taste the real sirloin steak. It was fried just right with the brown gravy I enjoyed. I had never tried the loaded hash brown before, now I ll make sure to always get that side. Once we finished, we went to the store side and I was like a kid in the candy store. Old fashioned candy from back in the day. Peanut butter bars and chick o stick yes yes. I ll be back sooner than later.

We live in TN and were in Texas visiting kids and grandkids so we all went to Cracker Barrel in Round rock, Tx with 6 adults and 4 kids. Everyone received their meal and I got my sides but never received my entree. Finally asked waitress and they did not start fixin mine until she went back and told them I didn t get it. Finally got it when everyone else was finished and we were ready to leave. Then the so called manager on duty had the audacity to make sure we paid for it, did not make a scene, just paid and left. Wasn t gonna make a scene in front of adult children and small grandchildren. Tasted pretty bad the next day after being refrigerated over night. Manager person seemed totally unconcerned that we did not receive a meal until we were ready to leave. This was On Sunday Sept. 23,2024. Kid-friendliness: I m sure it was an oversight on somebody s part but we had been running all day and this was only meal. Manager person seemed totally unconcerned that we did not get a meal until we were ready to leave. Ordered maple bacon glazed grilled chicken on this visit.

3 star rating is because of screw up by manager and kitchen losing our order. Ended up taking 40 minutes to get food. Our server did a good job. Terrible service. The waitress asked if we needed anything, we told her straws, refills on our drinks, and to go boxes. She left and didn t come back for almost 15 mins. No straws, no refills, and no boxes. She left to retrieve the to go box and we never saw her again. Waited an additional 20 mins and then went and got my own box. I had to get mgt to look up my bill at the front so I could pay and leave. Wait staff is a joke.

So disappointing with the food. The coffee was watered down. The sausage gravy tasted like flour and water with no taste at all. The smoked sausage tasted like cardboard with again no taste at all. The orange juice tasted like Tang, not even real juice? we have eaten at many Cracker Barrel s and this was the worst. The waitress was wonderful not her fault. The management and corporate really need to get a grip on the quality of the food. I will not return.

Moved to Texas a year ago and live next to Cracker Barrel now. Our first visit was about 3 weeks ago. Our server was the worst I ve ever seen. No napkins. When asked for them, she never came back with them. No refills on our drinks. Forgot my baked potato with meal. Never checked up on us. Horrible. But today 9/22 thought let s give them another chance since the food is good. Nope.. service worse then the first time there. We actually got up to get our own box to take home left over food. No refills on drinks, no straws, never even checked up on us nor anyone around us. Left to pay at the store next door. Never got our check. Complained to the manager. Didn t think she cared either.

Well, Cracker Barrel is a bit old-fashioned for me. They do have takeout, or if you want, ask the hostess how many people are at your party. The hostess sits you down, and then the menu, waiter, or waitess takes your order, then its a 15 to 20 minutes wait depending on what you ordered. They do serve beer or cocktails. Food and desserts. If you want an old-fashioned place to go to, then go to Cracker Barrel.

Waitress was terrible. Had to ask several times to get water refilled. She just disappeared for the longest time in the kitchen, and when she reappeared, I had to wave her over to the table. They didnt have mashed potatoes, but instead of asking me for a substitute prior to plating the food, she brings me a plate, and then tells me no mashed potatoes. I had already waited long enough for food, didnt want to wait longer for a substitute. The food itself was fine. Just the waitress ruined the experience.

My family favorite place for breakfast all the time, whoever this last visit starting from the hosted area until the table and kitchen you can tell that there is something going wrong. Our not friendly host Lorena or someone with some similar name was a little bit rude probably because I we were our baby granddaughter who is only 2 yrs old and she was a little desperate for breakfast. Our server was a little lost she was a young woman. During our meal I requested some biscuits and corn muffins and she brought it without jam or butter, I asked for some jam and she brought me 2 only one for each adult. No condiments were offered. The food was ok but the best and only item was the pancakes, the ham on my plate was dry and slim hard to chew, poor cut like never before. I remember getting a nice slice of ham on my breakfast back in the day but not anymore. Anyway since is our favorite place for breakfast my daughter is taking me back for breakfast this August 24th to celebrate my birthday weekend and we can share some memories that we being sharing together since they were kids at this location. I can t wait to enjoy and see if this time I can get a better cut of ham with my breakfast plate. And also enjoy my free piece of brownie for my birthday please excuse my bad typos.

Overall, the food quality was great. We were seated quickly and had a really great time. If youre wanting country fare, you could do a lot worse than this Cracker Barrel. I also really like how they let you pay your bill by scanning a QR code. Id love it if they took this a step further like some other chains and made it where you could pay and leave at any time using your table number (i.e. without having to wait for your server to bring a receipt). The biggest area for improvement was in the service. Our server did not check on us once after taking our order until she brought the check. This was particularly unfortunate because our drinks ran out AND we didnt have a single napkin (a particularly large problem when youre eating with a messy 7-year old).

The food was OK, but not as good as it has been in the past. I assumed you have a new chef. The waitress was very kind, but not very experienced. Was not available for refills. I ordered dessert before I finished my meal and still had to wait a very long time to get it. I had to talk to two other people before she finally came. I assume she had forgotten my order. When I received my dessert, I ordered A five dollar take-home meal, which was not only super skimpy,, but did not look appetizing. I always get the five dollar to go meals from Olive Garden and I assumed it would be at least that good. I was completely shocked when I saw how unappetizing it looked and the portion was so unbelievably small, probably three bites. At least with Olive Garden you get enough for a meal and their five dollar meals are actually very good. It took them forever to figure out how to credit my bill and it also took a very long time for the waitress to finally bring me my bill when I requested it. The wait times were very long and I had to spend way too much time there after my meal. I understand that all prices have gone up, but you have also made a joke out of the five dollar take home meal. You should check out Olive Garden and learn from them in that respect. Also customer service.. I have gone to Cracker Barrel for many years often on and have even taken my family there at Thanksgiving two times. We have always been pleased with it, but it appears your going overboard on skimping and with Customer Service in addition to higher prices, which is understandable. I have also had problem not too long ago in purchasing an expensive bag which fell apart after the first time using it. It appears you are also skimping on the quality of your merchandise And raising the prices. At least at Walmart, I have had better luck with their quality at a lower price. If it happens, one more time in regards to the restaurant or store purchases, I will no longer be returning.

The food was a bit cold, salty and not the usual. The service was great but the kitchen was running out of food which we had never experienced. Maybe because it was later in the evening on a Wednesday. It was a different feel than on the weekend. The servers did their best and kept a great attitude. We got there about 45 min before they closed and the host huffed and puffed when we asked to be seated, then the lady taking our order was extremely rude wouldnt actually listen to any questions and was rushing us. Barley gave us attention and was supposed to ask the cook a question and come back and let me know something and never did. My entire table got the food they ordered and not only did I not get my plate until my table was almost finished but STILL gave me the completely wrong order. The food was nasty. The workers stood around and watched up eat and was complaining the ENTIRE time about us eating still. WILL NOT EVER GO BACK TO THIS STORE. Honestly it was sad and I have NEVER had such a bad experience like this one anywhere else. Get it together please

We were shocked that we could not order their Southern Fried Chicken dinner. We had to settle for the Fried Porkchops, but they were good too! The issue we had with the service was that we watched a table of four get seated, ordered, served their food, and left before we (party of 2) even received our food. We were never even asked if we wanted refills on our drinks. To cheer ourselves up, we bought candy from the store. I wish I knew the perfect time to dine in a Cracker Barrel.

Tried to give this location a second chance, and not sure that it helped. Service was rude and paid more attention to their personal cell phones than to any guest. Also, there were inappropriate adult conversations happening on the sales floor between associates. It just was not the quality that I was expecting. The changes that the company is making are not being adopted well at this location. Wheelchair accessibility: This establishment is not accessible. A path is not available from the door to the dining hall.

The food was great and I noticed that they now have a server going around and asking for coffee. Thank you for that! The last few times Ive noticed that the hosts cant control the customers. I always reserve online and I wait way longer. Customers come up to the host upset and the host panics and seats them. So this makes the wait longer for everyone else. Something to look into.

I can not believe the horrible service I was given today by server Shay. Horrible all around. Took 25 min to get drinks. Food was brought out for 10 min before she even came over and realized she had never brought the drinks. The table next to us with the exact same server, experienced the same thing. Then both tables asked for a manager, and when the manager came over to speak to me, he allowed the server to stand next to him the entire time I was addressing the issues that we had Pertaining to the server. Due to management, allowing such behavior from servers, we will never be back. Highly disappointed

Ordered two meals for dinner, second time to use the curbside service, and the second time for that service to be lousy. Meal was supposed to be ready by 4:18 PM, got there by 4:25 PM, immediately notified them I was there by using the IM HERE button. Waited and waited, but no one ever came out. Another customer was there waiting in Space #3 when we arrived, was still waiting when we left. After 10 minutes I went inside to find one person at the register and no one by the to-go orders. A salesperson from the floor finally came over and asked if I was there to pick up an order. I noticed two orders just sitting there, ours and the guy still waiting outside. They had been sitting there but apparently no one assigned to bring the orders out. So much for their curbside service - all it did was made our food cold!

Where do I begin: ordered grilled chicken and received fried. Was told it would take 10-15 minutes to get it. 10 minutes later was told its almost ready. By that time everyone was finishing their meal so I cancelled my meal and only ate the side dish left on table. Another person asked for extra gravy and never received it. Very bland seasoning on food. Was never asked how everyones meals would be paid. Total bill comes and its handed to one person. He was shocked to see the total. He told her the meals are being paid individually. She returns with bill combined again. We had to remind her what each ordered to get correct bills.

Against my better judgment I went again with wife. At least I received my meal this time. Overall would Have been better if I had not. Meal was cold, including biscuits that would melt butter, gravy was horribly cold and tasteless. Bacon was raw in several areas of the strips. While hashbrown casserole was atleast tasty even though it was barely warm. This was the last time.

Took my mom out for her 84th birthday today. She had her daughter (and spouse), 2 grandsons and their children ( her great grandchildren) in attendance. Dinner was awesome, service was marvelous and ambiance was just right. Totally enjoyed our meal and the wait person was attentive and in tune with everything we could need before we needed it. He earned every penny of his tip. He was super and so was the tip!

This location has the worst customer service by management. We were told that it s a 25min wait for a party of 13 and ended up waiting 40min and they tried sitting us separate from each other like couple tables away from each other and they only had enough chairs for 10 people instead of 13 people. The manager said that we were told up front that we would be separated and no we were told the tables will be next to each other but different sizes by the host and management was blaming us instead of saying, sorry for the for the miscommunication. We had to explain to them how sitting our kids two tables away from us wasn t a smart move especially next to the door where the waiters come in and out from with food. We asked how long to beable to get another table that would beable to seat 13 of us and near each other. So we waited again and took about a hour in total for us to be seated.

The food was fresh and good. The service was horrible. I ordered a vegetable plate of 4 sides. Two of the sides were dressing with brown gravy, not turkey gravy. It was on the order receipt the way I wanted it. My order came out with turkey gravy on it. The young man at the register stated he would get a to go server to correct it. A young lady server saw the receipt and stated she would correct the order. An older lady server came over and asked what the problem was and I explained the problem. She told the young server to just get me a side of brown gravy to put over the dressing. I said no because they had already put the turkey gravy on it and I don t like turkey gravy. She became rude and stated that s the way they serve the dressing and can t serve it without turkey gravy. I even showed her the correct order on the receipt . What a lie! I ve been getting this exact order for many years. She wanted to argue with me. She took my food and came back with it corrected. She said here is your food and walked away. The young man worker at the cashier even stated she was wrong. I ve never had a problem with staff before and this is the first. It was as awful experience.

Decided to try the chicken fried steak and it looked worse than a Stouffers frozen meal. This thing was a flat piece of cardboard, sure tasted like cardboard. There was no flaky breading . Just a skinny piece of meat that was frozen and they cover it in gravy. The worst meal Ive had In a long time.

My daughter and I love Cracker Barrel. We go every chance we get. Our food is always delicious, our service has always been wonderful and the atmosphere is great. We always have a big to go order as everybody wants food. We take a quick run thru the shop and it is always filled with new and gorgeous things. They help us get to the car if we need them. Cracker Barrel makes us smile!
