Had a great night for drinks and dinner with friends! Alex and his staff went over the top in making our table feel welcome and taking care of us with personalized mocktails and dessert! All of the food and drinks were amazing. I will definitely be coming back and i will recommend Wade s to everyone!

Disclaimer: I am pregnant so there are certain restrictions I was trying to work around. Husband took me and my toddler here as a surprise so we didnt know what to expect. We got the meatballs as an appetizer, they were good but the centers were a bit on the raw side so we just ate around it, didnt feel the need to send it back. Husband got Tennessee whiskey and he said it was interesting and liked it, so Id bet the other drinks were good too. He ordered the steak frites and said the steak was cooked perfectly, nice sear, juicy and tender, just how he ordered it, the fries were fries. I think I may have picked the chicken tenders of the menu. I got the fussili alla vodka, the noodles were a little more than al dente, the sauce was eh, and the chicken ($6 extra) was dry dry dry. Couldnt figure out why my son wouldnt eat the chicken till I tried it, and we were sharing the dish, ended up just talking it home. Server was nice and friendly, just a bit slow service. I wont write this place off, maybe the more grown up meals wouldve been better, but I didnt want to pay $30 for well done steak or fish, and I was sharing with my toddler so I didnt want something and fries. The waitress next to us recommended the shrimp skewers, deviled eggs, hot chicken and I think the burger to her table, so I guess we just got it wrong for $115 after tip.

Amazing service and food. Alex the manager is super kind and helpful as well as the waitress that we had. He went above and beyond for us. I am pregnant and he made me an amazing mocktail as a surprise to make me feel special. Everything we ate was so tasty and I will 100% be returning. I have been 5x and it has been the same every time. 10/10

The waitress was sooooooooooooooooo slow!!! Took forever to get my drink and had to keep reminding her. Only valet to park and they jammed up the whole parking lot you couldn t even get in the parking lot. No one at the hostess station or anywhere to be found when we walked in. Ordered another round of drinks and she didn t bring the correct number of drinks. Smash burger was good.

One of the least memorable meals Ive had in years. I was excited to try the new place, but after this one attempt I wish the roundabout was still there. You HAVE to valet. Complimentary or not, I dont like being forced to use a service. Bloody Mary was meh at best. Dad had migas and I had a Nashville hot chicken sandwich. Neither were anything but average, while the hot chicken was not hot at all and very mushy. We left after eating there to go to the Downing and have a snack. Now I see why we were 2 of 5 people in the whole place at noon on a Sunday. Parking: Parking started it all off bad. Valet only.

The bartender made me this awesome drink called a blackberry smash. It was hands down the best drink i ever had. I went back twice because it was the best craft cocktail i ever had, unfortunately he didn t have the right ingredients so he made me something else & tried to pass it off as the blackberry drink. Not just once but twice. Wasn t even close. Very disappointed! If he had been upfront about it i would have been okay w trying something different. Come on. We ended up ordering Mich light, i could go anywhere & get an $8 domestic! However the meatballs were darn good! Loved the new decor & atmosphere! Its worth a try! I did also love the complimentary valet parking! Nice touch!!

The food is amazing and so was our waitress and waiter. We went a little after 3:00pm. There were not many people and about 6 booths open not counting the larger booths because those were not occupied as well. The guy seating said they were reserved for 5:30. The booths were never filled while we were there. That was very weird to me. This was my first time coming to this restaurant. It would have been 5 stars if not for the seating issue.

Ate there last night with my wife, finally had a date night! Date nights are great regardless but when you have exceptional food and an absolute outstanding waitress (Britney), it makes it that much more enjoyable. Britney was an absolute joy to talk to, very personable and friendly, someone you can instantly connect with. Well be back and ask for her in a heartbeat. Unfortunately she doesnt work brunches! Inside joke. Also had great service and attention from Alex and everyone else that brought drinks, food, etc. Team effort all around. 10 star experience.

Made a reservation, after getting Wades Landing highly recommended. As I approached, I tried to find parking near the establishment, but was unsuccessful... So I caved in and Valeted my vehicle. The valet was polite and helpful. Walked in and was immediately greeted. The atmosphere is stunning and inviting. This interaction set the tone for the evening and didnt disappoint. My waitress was friendly and very knowledgeable of the food and drink menu. After much deliberation I chose the Steak Frites (8oz Petite Filet, Chimichurri, Truffle Parmesan Fries) cooked Medium Rare with extra Chimichurri, and a side of their Roasted Millbrook Farm Mushrooms. Initially, I was brought the order and the steak was cooked to what can be described as Medium Well. A passing staff member (or could have been a manager) saw my confusion and asked How is everything going?. I mentioned to them about the cook temperature of the steak and they didnt hesitate to take it back to get me a new steak. The remake came out relatively quickly and was *Perfect*! The steak was tender, juicy, and cooked to perfection. The Chimichurri was incredible and wonderfully flavorful! The fries were lightly crispy with a soft potato interior. The mushrooms were delicious, overflowing with flavor and a wonderful addition to the steak dish. Definitely recommend to pass by and enjoy a drink or a bite to eat if youre in the area!

The homemade donuts were so good, they tasted a little like a funnel cake. We also split the waffle board and had left overs. The bacon and sausage that come on the board are to die for!! I made a reservation for my parents 25th wedding anniversary, as they were eager to try a new spot in town. The day before, I called to place a card on file to ensure they wouldn t receive a bill at the end of their dinner. The manager assured me that they would not see the bill; however, they were still presented with the check at the end of their meal. I m unsure why my card information was taken if it wasn t going to be used as intended.

The restaurant is very cute but WAY too loud. My throat literally hurting from having to scream while talking. We went for dinner and it was so busy and felt almost like we were at a club. The food was just OK and I dont think its worth the prices. I ordered a diet coke and it came out flat. They tried to fix the machine and it made it taste even worse. The waiter was kind and brought my out a coke zero that he find in the back which was odd but I appreciate him doing that although a diet coke and coke zero does not taste the same. I told him that wasnt necessary, I was perfectly fine with water but oh well. It was a kind gesture. The staff was very nice. I might try it again for lunch. Hopefully it wont be so loud.

It was good but when you tell someone you cant park in a lot thats available and have to use valet, thats a turn off. The guy was rude and said he would tow our vehicle. I get that its kinda upscale but nothing great and not enough upscale for valet parking. It really messed up the visit. We were with a group so we stayed to eat. Food was good but not enough selections especially if you have kids. We miss Round About with the Brunch buffet , nicer people. Hope the place makes it but we wont be back.

The food is great, the service is amazing, the drinks are well crafted, and the portions are ample. Expect to spend a bit more than your average chain place but know that you re getting value in quality and service to match. Remember, if you pull upfront, you will have to valet, or you can park anywhere in Downtown and walk over. This place is worth the visit, just go. I would suggest some more training and how to behave when they have a few moments of down time. We witnessed several team members standing near the bar laughing loudly and disturbing tables right behind them. Food is very good however so we will be back- in hopes that they worked out some of the kinks! Oh and the ceiling ac was leaking into the floor during the entire meal- to which I notified our server about and she said oh yeh, we know 7/10/24- went back for dinner tonight and service was EXCELLENT! The experience started with some guy telling us we had to valet. He had a real attitude about it. Personally, Im not letting someone like that in my truck so hes got access to it for an hour while I eat. Not that it makes any sense anyhow. Their parking lot is the size of my driveway. Get passed that issue, and were seated. Our waitress was really nice and attentive. The hummus trio was pretty decent, then our shrimp appetizer comes out. It was too salty to even think about eating. My girlfriend had one and the expression on her face let me know I needed to try one, and it was like eating straight salt. Our food comes out, and her chicken burrito was chalky and also extremely salty. My fish and chips come out, and the fish is over cooked and flavorless while the chips we soggy. I kid you not, if you put this side by side with Long John Silvers, not a single person would choose the meal I received from this place. After after my girlfriend took one bite of her burrito and I took two bites of my fish, I just paid the tab and left. $115 for two people, but at least the waitress was good. Its the exact opposite experience of the londoner. They had great food and horrible service.

Wade s Landing in downtown Rockwall, is SO good! Such a nice compliment and chef s kiss to our already exquisite fine dining experience in the Heart of Rockwall. The Dynamite Cauliflower absolutely joins the ranks of my favorite appetizer Blue Crab Dip at Zanata. It is THAT good. The cauliflower is a unique take on it versus any other place I ve ever been that serves calimari. It was quite tasty, very good. Not too cooked not too undercooked just right. The 5 o clock somewhere pineapple drink was the dot com. Kateley got the landing burger so good. She loved it. I got the salmon which was so huge, largest portion of salmon I ve ever seen, so good, was hard to not try to eat in huge chunks like a caveman as it was so delicious and full of taste. Arguably among the best salmon I ve had. Now the desserts they don t have listed but it also changes (so call ahead and ask) today they had a churro fried pie . Guys . Imagine a smoking hot fresh apple cobbler pie in the shape of a large turnover covered in churro tastiness and cinnamon absolutely DIVINE! The BEST dessert I ve EVER had a restaurant! We left so full and delighted. And the way they do the parking is perfection, it s all valet (included for free) you just tip, that was so lovely and such a nice end to a wonderful evening. Wade s landing cracked the code on this location inside and out. We loved that they brought back the booths like Cayote Rojo had (when my wife and I got married here back in 2012). I think this would serve as an exceptional wedding venue too! The interior is fantastic, warm, contagious energy, and the staff is TOP NOTCH. I tried the watermelon moonshine (too spicy for my taste) and I gladly was willing to pay for it understanding it just wasn t for my taste. Three different staff came to visit me within like 20 seconds to swiftly change it out with something Else I said, please no, I ll pay for it I just wanted to try . They insisted, we want you to be happy and enjoy your drink. Blown away. We tipped very well, and we will definitely be back. They get my coveted 5 review! If you haven t tried it yet GO, what are you waiting for!? Don t let the parking deter you, valet is complimentary. Such a nice touch. Our waitresses first day too and she shared that with us at the end, we didn t believe it. That proved to us also that they take training and customer service to the next level. We appreciated. Bravo Mark and team! Parking: Plenty of parking because of valet, exceptional service. Valet is free, just tip them! Kid-friendliness: Warm environment, upscale.

Service was good and friendly. Valet was great (crazy busy). Had reservations early and was seated immediately. Noise level was what you would expect for a place with this menu. Not too loud, certainly not intimate. Food/Drinks: -Eggs tasted like the contents of the fridge. Not good. Please store them separately or shorter periods of time, or covered so they dont taste like yesterday s leftovers. Thought they had turned. -Carbonara was too small of a portion for $22 with no side of protein. Pasta is cheap, give a little more. Pancetta tasted a bit old and not quite as crisp as expected. Flavor was OK overall. -Tuna tacos were very good. A bit heavier seasoning would shine as the fried wonton flavor was the dominant flavor, but again, very good. -Fish and chips was fine, nothing magnificent, nothing bad. It was what you expect and the portion was good. -Drinks were fine, but about $3 too expensive. Heavy on the mixers, which is fine and fun. Really wanted to love this place, but the bad tasting eggs really did it in for us.

I was so happy to see the renovation of this cool building and the opening of Wade s Landing especially since I live a block away and was hoping for a cool place within walking distance to hang out and entertain visitors . We stopped by Saturday afternoon around 4:00 for a drink with a friend from Dallas . We were greeted by three girls seemingly confused about where to put us since we had no reservations and we wanted to sit on the patio. It took a long time for them to find a table they could seat us at. While waiting on our drinks we observed other people being sat and then moved around from table to table, we overheard the staff telling people the tables were reserved after they had seated them Apparently a lot needs to still be ironed out over seating. We had the deviled eggs, ,just ok, drinks that were so contrived and actually undrinkable. I gave a 2 star rating due to all the confusion about getting a table in an empty restaurant, which by the way, was still empty an hour 1/2 later when we left, our server was really great though. Sadly disappointed

My friends and I (ALL 21) came to get some drinks. We gave them our IDs, and they denied us. They said they didn t scan and that they didn t look right . We made our case and they didn t listen. Anyways, we were all very upset with this experience. Moving forward hopefully they will come to know what a real ID looks like.

This is the 4th or 5th restaurant in this spot, but it is the 1st one that I have really liked! The food was wonderful, the decor was inviting and bright, and the service was absolutely the best, professionals not 17 year old students. We had the deviled eggs and they were as good as you ve heard. Weirdly, there are five halves to an order, so decide how you re going to divvy them up before you go. I had the salmon (perfectly cooked, extremely tasty) with broccoli mash (turns out that s broccoli mixed in to mashed potatoes, which is lots better then it sounds) and grilled carrots (which honestly could have been grilled a bit longer). My husband had the chicken sandwich which was better and spicier than expected. The drinks were good and interesting, with the Day Drinker the best version of an espresso martini I ve had in a long time. The tiramisu was phenomenal and definitely big enough to share. WE WILL BE BACK. Parking: The valet is mandatory and free (except for tip) and much appreciated parking is terrible.

Went for dinner to give it a try. The remodel is nice. Our server was amazing. But, the food was lackluster at best. Very bland and small portions. My husband swore they had served him frozen fishsticks. I would be willing to try it again if the food got better.

It was good. They have not been open long so I think it will get even better as they have time to work out the kinks. The menu is not extensive but everything was delicious. The calamari was tender and had a great flavor. 2 things I would say need improvement. My hubby ordered the steak. The menu did not say what sides came with it so he was pleasantly surprised by salad that came with it. If he had known he would not have ordered the side salad. We ordered cappuccinos for dessert and they were really double espressos but still good. They take reservations and have valet which is a definite plus. Edited to say, I meant to give a 5 star review. It was all wonderful and deserves 5 stars.

Editing to add: We did in fact have a reservation. Non handicap vehicles were parked in the only handicap spots by valet. I was excited to try Wades Landing but was left disappointed and probably wont be back. First, they have a huge parking lot for a downtown restaurant but they decided to make it valet only, its free but not really because you have to tip (not the valets fault). They utilize the handicap spots for valet instead of allowing you to park your handicap vehicle yourself. If you want to self park, you have to park down by Charlies which is very selfish because those spots are very much needed for the restaurants and stores who dont have a parking lot. Also, some people dont want valet to operate their vehicles due to risk of damage. This was the first turn-off and we almost left because of it. After arriving inside we were walked to a table, we prefer a booth and noticed all of them were open so we asked to sit there instead of in the middle of the restaurant, they had to ask the host stand to get permission to sit us in a booth which was strange but they allowed. The menu was very limited which is fine, but way over priced for the offerings and portion size. It felt like they just added some pretty things over the old roundabout and hiked up prices to make it seem fancy and exclusive. Not impressed. There are far better options in Rockwall at that price point.

So I have heard quite a lot of hype about Wades and made a reservation for the wife and I service is just great. Period. I m not going to get into pricing and all that. Don t go to a restaurant and expect excellence for the price of Arby s so with that aside those signature cocktails were legit. Absolutely creative, fun and tasty. 100% going back just to get through those. The appetizer for us was the Hummus. So good! One area I hope they will consider enhancing is vegetarian options. My wife got the Gnocchi and she loved it but next time there are not anything different for her. I wanted the steak sandwich but they were out. My wait team recommended the fish and chips which I enjoyed. I do hope they will have the steak sandwich next time. Overall, I do recommend going here. It is a cut above the previous establishments that graced this location and come thirsty

Wade s Landing near downtown Rockwall is a culinary gem! The service is exceptional, with valet and reservations making dining a breeze. The Garden Guacamole appetizer with fresh seasoned tortilla chips is a delightful start, bursting with flavor. The Steak Sandwich featuring grilled filet mignon, roasted peppers and onions, provolone cheese, and chimichurri on ciabatta bread is simply divine a must-try! And don t miss the Steak Frites filet mignon topped with chimichurri sauce, paired perfectly with parmesan truffle fries. Every bite is a taste sensation worth savoring.

The ambiance is gorgeous, with golden Edison lighting and handwoven Tulum style chandeliers. The green, brown and ivory colors seem to take into account the space that the restaurant physically exists, acknowledging the trees and greenery visible from every window and inviting them to be a part of your experience. We were quickly seated and then greeted by the server. The menu is small, with an entire side of it being dedicated to wine, beer and their ridiculous cocktails. The other side keeps it simple with 5 categories: Appetizers, Salads, Sandwiches, Mains and Sides. That s it. I think it s worth noting that the appetizer section with 9 selections is the deepest of the menu. We ordered two appetizers, Cauliflower Dynamite ($10 / Roasted Cauliflower, Dynamite Sauce, Toasted Panko, Herbs) and Chicken Wings (6 / $12, Lemon Pepper). The chef surprised us with a third appetizer which they claimed was the best of the house: Million Dollar Deviled Eggs ($12, Deviled eggs with Bacon Jam and Pickled Chilies). Each of them was outstanding. The Cauliflower was savory, fresh and maybe the healthiest of the choices as it s prepared roasted. The wings were plump, crispy and noticeably higher quality than normal. As for the eggs, I couldn t imagine anyone makes them better. I ordered two cocktails, the It s Five O Clock Somewhere ($13 - Bacardi Coconut Rum, Fresh Pineapple Juice, Passion Fruit Puree, Orgeat, Grilled Pineapple, Torched Cinnamon, Mint Bouquet) and later the Red Solo Cup ($13 - Grey Goose Vodka, Fresh Lime Juice, Blood Orange Reduction, Ginger Beer, Dehydrated Blood Orange, Mint Bouquet). Both of them came in their own specific cups, and were a blast. Particularly the It s Five O Clock Somewhere may have been the best cocktail I have ever had, anywhere. And that s the highest compliment I can possibly give. I mean it. It s like your best memories of Hawaii, Cancun, and Key West blended together in a glass and served with a straw. If this is all I came here to have: it would be worth the trip. For dinner we ordered Ahi Tuna Salad ($19 - Sesame Encrusted Tuna, Spring Mix, Heirloom Tomatoes, Carrots, Shaved Cabbage, Wonton Strips, Ginger Dressing) and the Steak Sandwich ($22 - Grilled Filet, Roasted Peppers & Onions, Provolone Cheese, Chimichurri, Ciabatta). Jessica reports that the salad was delicious, bigger than expected and totally filled her up, but not to the point of being bloated. My steak sandwich was fine, though I don t think I d order it again. The steak was overcooked for my preference, and the bread kind of overwhelmed the combination of flavors. Even so, this was a fine sandwich and on the other side of those two cocktails I was feeling so good it was hard to keep my foodie hat on too tight. The downsides to Wade s Landing would be the lack of indoor seating, lack of easily accessible parking, and the cost of goods. This place just won t be for everyone, and that s totally ok. You can overcome seating challenges with a reservation, they have addressed the parking challenges with valet, and I ve always believed in paying for quality. That s exactly what you re going to get at Wade s Landing, and many other beloved locally owned and operated area eateries. Good. The success of original concepts like Wade s will only continue to protect the culture and identity of Rockwall in the first place. In fact, it may even play a part in its very definition. I would absolutely recommend checking out Wade s Landing if you have the opportunity. It s not just good: it s exceptional. We now have one less reason to leave Rockwall.

Food tasted great, but portions are small. The only steak option is steak frites and it was like an appetizer for my husband. Menu is limited. The high top tables are awkward and small, fine for apps and drinks but not for meals. Staff was overall really nice. A different person came by three times in 30 seconds trying to pick up our plates that we were still eating off of (and we hadn t been there long at all). The last one stood there waiting for me to take my last few bites to then take my plate. It was odd.

All fluff, mediocre overall. Food is way overpriced and portions are not worth what you pay for it. $22 for a side portion size of gnocchi offered as a main entrée. My gf ordered carbonara with chicken and the protein was cooked to hell and extremely dry. The pasta and sauce itself were also very underwhelming. Not sure where they learned what a carbonara sauce is supposed to be but this missed the mark. Overall the menu seems confused as well. Theres chicken wings that a friend of mine ordered (and he didnt like either), Italian, British, and other styles. Not sure what this place is trying to be but Id recommend some sort of direction. And lower the prices because the experience doesnt warrant what is being charged.

For our date night, my husband and I left another event in town and wanted to have a bite to eat and a cocktail before calling it a night. It was 10:00pm and the place was buzzing with people. Great atmosphere, beautiful decor. Free Valet parking made it easy to get in and out. (Make sure to tip your valet!) We took the recommendation of our incredibly upbeat and sweet server, and we had the fish n chips with Crème Brûlée for dessert. All I can say is AMAZING! We shared the plates this time but will definitely be back for more! Cute drink names on the menu. I had the One Margarita. It was perfectly blended with a tajin rim. We ve been to every restaurant that has tried to make it in this space. This one may have what it takes to make it. (We hope anyway!) Wade s Landing is a great addition to the downtown Rockwall restaurant/bar scene.

Wades Landing, the now fifth restaurant to grace the notorious Downtown 66 Corner, stands out with its unique design and compelling dining experience, offering a fresh alternative to the usual chain options in town. Our visit was marked by impeccable service and a comfortable, if unique, ambiance shaped by its peculiar layout. The bar, a focal point not just for its location but for the quality and innovation of its drinks, was a highlight. Trusting the staffs recommendations led us to discover exceptional bourbon and a refreshing signature grapefruit drink. The deviled egg appetizer set a high bar with its tangy pickled peppers and crispy bacon, a memorable twist on a classic. House-made Caesar salad impressed with the perfect blend of saltiness and zest, while the entrees - Faroe Island salmon and pesto gnocchi with shrimp - showcased the kitchens ability to elevate familiar dishes with perfectly paired flavors and impeccable seasoning.Dessert was a standout tiramisu, far removed from the commonplace, offering a perfect end to the meal. Throughout the evening, the attentive proprietors and the thoughtful pairing of food and drink options spoke to a dedicated approach to dining.Wades Landing offers more than just a meal; it provides an experience thats both unique and deeply satisfying, promising enough to make us plan our next visit. A true testament to the potential of non-chain restaurants to deliver something special.

It was smooth and a nice starter. I then moved to the margarita with tajin.. very good! We had a few appetizers. All were good. We had the hummus trio, cauliflower dynamite, and the fried filet tips. The entrees were on point, too. My wife s brother in law had the East West Beef Dog and he loved it saying it was more than a hot dog. I had the Steak Frites. The steak was amazing. Very tender.
