Despite a substantial wait for our food, the Monster burger double was fresh, though the patty lacked flavor. The fries were a standout, and the hot dog was exceptional. However, our dessert order was disappointing. We had anticipated a peach cobbler with ice cream, but after waiting for 15 minutes, we inquired about its status. Unfortunately, we were informed that they were sold out. While they offered a refund, the lack of upfront communication about the availability was frustrating.

Not the speediest of places. Expect 20-30 minutes for food delivery. The kids cheeseburger is about the size of a slider, so not really for anyone older than 3 or 4 years old. Burgers were very pink.

This is a cute little place that I have never noticed before this visit. Shared a burger with my husband and it was really good. We didnt get a specialty burger, just a custom one with basic ingredients. You order at the register then sit/wait for your meal. Definitely visiting again soon! The restaurant is very small but I actually love that & service was excellent! We arrived with a lot of kids and she was very patient and friendly with everyone! Parking: Their parking lot is small but you can park across the street at the bank.

Imagine youre in heaven and you ask for a burger....this is where theyd get it!! Perfect, fresh buns, thick pickles, killer onions and perfect bbq sauce. Fries? Well, they were a little dissapointing. They nees to change the fry oil and they came out a little soggy. The fries had good flavor though. The owner does it right. Its exceedingly rare to be able to get grass fed and grass FINISHED beef these days. The burgers tend to be on the smaller side, but I think the price is fair for the quality of beef youre getting. Dont sleep on the hot dogs either. The Breakfast Dog is ridiculously good! Upon arrival we waited in a short line order and were promptly seated. There were plenty of open tables. I ordered 4 burger combos and a kids grilled cheese. Spent somewhere around $75. We waited over an hour with a 3yr old to eat. Over an hour for a cheeseburger. I wish I would ve been informed of that kind of wait before ordering. Instead I was told jokingly that I m required to purchase one of their make burgers great again hats. I wish they followed their that mantra because the burgers were mediocre at best. Lightly seasoned if at all and the fries were cold and slightly limp. The brussel sprouts were extra extra crispy though. So much so they were almost unidentifiable. The trash was overflowing and buzzing with flies when we sat down. It was so bad one of the customers seated near it offered to empty it for them. I do not recommend and will not be returning. Parking: There s a small lot next to the building with small spaces and a public parking lot across the street.

WOW! I had been seeing posts about Wells Burgers on my newsfeed for the past few years, and it quickly became one of those places I knew I had to try. Since recently moving from Indiana to Frisco, I finally had the opportunity to stop by. The burger and fries were FANTASTIC! After eating there, it is no surprise that Wells Burgers has built a strong reputation in Texas and has won many awards for their food. Whether you are a local, passing through, or just moved to the area like me, it is a place you definitely want to visit and keep coming back to.

Ate the Blue Cheese Bacon Burger. First thing to note is that their beef is so tender, delicious, and pink (which is so nice cause most places serve burgers well done). The blue cheese went really well with the grilled onions and peanut sauce! The bun is soft too and not dry at all. For $12 pretty good but feels a little pricey but I d eat it again in the right circumstances. I d probably get the cheapest burger and just do the free add ons and then the experience would be very worth the price! Now the fries, to be honest, may have been the worst fries I ve eaten at a restaurant. Which is hard for me to type cause the beef on the burger is some of the best. May have been the batch. I really hope so. They were very short, overly seasoned, and limp; not to mention all the burnt pieces. Definitely not worth $4. A different side may have changed the experience. So ultimately only 4 stars. Parking: Not a ton of spots and the drivable area is pretty narrow. Probably can find a spot other than at peak time.

Just stood at the order desk for 15 minutes. No greeting or anyone at the desk. Server with a blue Wells shirt passed me 4 times and said nothing. I tried to call their number twice to let someone know what was going on. Went to voicemail both times. These people don t seem to care. I advised a couple in the parking lot to turn around and go somewhere else since service isn t a priority today.

You order in the middle of the restaurant. You sit where you like. The best burger I ever had. The Toppings were stacked so they did not slide off the burger. My favorite thing about Wells is the quality of what you are eating, farm to table. What makes them above and beyond is the family atmosphere. I ordered a kids meal unknowing there was seasoning on the fries. My son was not a fan, I went back to the register fully prepared to pay for another small fries, they told me no and brought it right out. They were so gracious about it, it felt like being with family. Did you know he has a podcast. I really enjoy learning the history , about the food not only at his restaurant but surrounding restaurants, their farm and other farm to table options. Let s not forget the fundraising they do for panhandle farmers. I m sure there is way more these wonderful people have done and continue to do. Thank you for all you and your staff do. Absolutely Amazing! We have lived in Royse City 7 years now and have heard about Wells multiple times! Tonight we finally tried it and had a little bit of everything. We tried Burgers, Hot Dogs, Loaded Fries, and multiple deserts. Everything was phenomenal! When we walked in the door we were worried there wouldnt be a place to sit because the line was so long! The food took a little while to come out and came out with an apology for the wait, which was fine and above and beyond what was expected! After eating we walked out the back door straight down to the park after taking some pictures at the sign out back! Great experience, A+ food, and how can I forget The person taking our order and every employee we came into contact with was nice and full of personality. We will definitely be back!

We dropped by for a late lunch. They weren t busy at all, only two couples were currently sat. It was our first time and there was no real clear signage on if it was a self-seating/self service environment. They do have the Order sign to lead you to the stand but nothing clear on the above stated. We waited a long while before anyone came to take our order, which okay because we weren t quite sure what we wanted anyhow. When she finally did come out, we had stated it was our first time so we weren t sure how their environment. It came off more as an inconvenience and figure it out yourself type. We wished we had gotten a receipt because it came out to be much more expensive than we had counted up. It also prompts you to tip after paying even though it s a complete self service environment (which we didn t know right then). We ordered a burger with fries/drink, another with loaded fries/drink and a kids meal. Everything came out together except the loaded fries. The person who brought the food said they d be out in a minute, alrighty cool. We began to get impatient because we finished our burgers and seen two other tables (who arrived well after us) get their food and we still hadn t gotten our loaded fries. My husband & I were talking about just requesting a refund and leaving since we were done eating when the loaded fries finally came. Those were the biggest let down. It s just (at least our order of them) a mound of fries with maybe a 1/4 cup shredded cheese, tiny diced jalapeños, and maybe 2 tablespoons of red sauce. Second biggest let down was the kids meal. I understand kids meals having smaller portions obviously but the kids burger bun was the size of a Hawaiian a roll (posted a picture for reference to show size comparison to my cup lid). So clearly the patty was even smaller, a very sad portion of fries and of all things Mott s fruit gummies Overall the burgers themselves were good but not for their pricing nor the service or environment. And a side note for ranch lovers- pass. I wouldn t recommend.

My wife and I are new to the area and when I tell you that we were welcomed and treated like family I believe that wouldn t be saying enough. The service was great, the food was superb and the atmosphere was excellent! The food was extremely fresh and also very filling. First time trying on a Thursday a little after 6pm, not too crowded. We were able to order and find a seat immediately. Time stamp on the receipt was 6:19pm, we did not get our food til around 6:47pm...long wait for food. Kitchen maybe under staffed or lots of to-go orders being prepped. When we finally got our food, Fries were cold. Buns were cold...I guess they pre-stamp several buns ahead of time to save time when an order comes through? The only thing that was warm/hot were the patties in our burgers. We got breakfast burger and BBQ burger. Patties were very flavorful, not overly salted, and has a nice smoky taste to it. The burger itself is aesthetically pleasing, but everything else was a bit off. Spicy ketchup and BBQ sauce were on point. Would love to try again, hopefully next time, food will be prepped fresh. I would love to read a short backstory on the cowboy founder. Seems he has an entire book on the subject. However, after actually eating the burger and fries I would say it is as standard a modern burger as say Guy Fieris. Nothing uniquely different. Also, our wait time for three different burgers was rather high. As a short order cook at one point myself, no burger order off a flat top should take 30 to 40 minutes. Thats excessive, even on a busy day. If theres not a separate cook and deliverer, you gotta get help in there. Its too small of a place for such a wait. Otherwise, the order/desk person was awesome, and the ambiance/location is awesome as well. Would totally recommend.

We had 2 burgers and a loaded fry. The meat in the burger was great quality. I asked for medium and it was overcooked and the lettuce was only 1 little sliver. It was more well done which isnt anywhere close to medium. I didnt ask to redo anything because it was still good. They dont use iceberg lettuce so adding more lettuce wasnt going to do anything for me. I like the crisp taste of iceberg. The loaded fries were way overheated. We didnt even eat them. We took them home but didnt bother going back to the car to get them when we realized we forgot them. Our meal for 2 people was over $40 with water only. It was a little much. $15 for a burger with no fries or drink included is too much. Its a cool place and most people will enjoy it but our meal didnt really work out especially for the price.

Keto/Vegan Options! Looks like a little house, but roomy inside! Order and pay first kinda place...only serve hamburgers and hotdogs...18 different ways...except what I wanted..no chili dogs or corn dogs!! ...but I had mushroom swiss burger which was meaty and cheesy...they did not ask how I wanted it cooked,,,so it came more well done than I prefer...but was still juicy. Ordered the Chicago dog and green mushroom and swiss burger combo which came with fries and a drink. The Chicago dog was pretty tasty though its just not quite a Chicago dog but the quality of the hotdog was the real deal. I always order mushroom swiss burgers when I try a new burger place. Again the quality of the meat was nice, but the burger did lack in flavor and it was overcooked and dry. Its called green I guess for green chilis but I did not taste them and they didnt add any spiciness or flavor. It was a good burger, nothing that wowed me. I would try another burger however. The fries were also pretty good, a little soggy for my liking, but decent. The jalapeno ranch was watery. I finished up with the peach cobbler and vanilla ice cream. Im sorry, but it was one of the worst cobblers Ive ever had. It almost tasted like it was a diet no sugar cobbler. Parts of the dough crusty portions tasted like bland unsweetened crust. Definitely something missing. A friend who tried it agreed and said something was missing. Very disappointing. I would definitely try this place again and order other things but only if Im in the area. Not a destination place where you would travel to eat here. All 5 of us live kinda far from here but none of us said we would drive to eat again. Only if we were in the area. Great concept, just missing on execution.

We were traveling and found this place. It was very tense when we walked in. Let s just say I could tell we weren t their normal shade of crowd. After a few moments of silence and stares the server got up and politely asked for our order. You could tell some of the other customers were unsettled. We got our food and I must say it was the best burger I ve had in a long time. Every thing was fresh and flavorful. The spicy ketchup is a perfect match to the seasoning of the burgers. Tried to call in a take-out order, but no one answered after several tries. Arrived and walked in. It wasn t busy, only two customers. I stood at the podium waiting for someone to take my order for at least 5 minutes while the waitress was talking to someone. Drove into Rockwell from Jacobia to try out the burgers Id heard so much about. Best burger I can remember. Had the Western burger, my wife had the Wells burger with cheese. Meat to bun ratio was spot on. I only did a single (I usually do double meat when I go places), and I was very satisfied with the serving, didnt go home hungry. Couldnt decide on which desert to try, so we split a chocolate pie and a brownie with ice cream. Both were great. If you want to get a major chocolate fix, go with the brownie. I cant recommend them enough. Lee, you have a great place. Im looking forward to bringing friends and family here so I can brag on it some more.

This was our first time here. Burgers were huge and tasty. While I prefer a bit more seasoning on mine, there was no doubt that this was not your ordinary ground beef. I am used to pasture beef as our family used to have cattle. Next time I want to try a hot dog. Fries were a bit soggy but seasoned as well. My husband and I could have split one combo order. Everyone was friendly and helpful The owner greeted us and asked how we liked it before we left. You can tell they have regulars and that the staff knew their regulars. In my book that is important to note. We will be back as we havent yet tried the hotdogs or the pie. In addition, I will certainly be back for hamburger meat which they also have for sale reasonably priced in a cooler near the door, as I miss pasture raised beef after having it for years. If it wasnt for the dessert, Id give it 1 star but the chocolate sheet cake was the SHEET but according to the picture on the napkin holders it looked like it came with ice cream but it didnt. Customer service was awesome. I got the bacon blue burger, the horseradish was a little too powerful, the burger wasnt seasoned well. The bacon was really good. The bun didnt stand up to the challenge. Soggy. The fries were seasoned well but not crispy. very soft.

Great farm to table restaurant with good burgers and amazing desserts. You order at the counter, collect your beeper and pick a table since seating is open. They have a wide selection of burgers to pick from including keto friendly options. The ambiance of the restaurant is cozy and clean. The owner and his family are very involved in the day to day operations. The food took around 20 minutes to be served. The Wells logo on the bun is a very nice branding touch. The burgers and dogs are all amazing, but you should definitely try the specialties from the handheld menu. They have been thoughtfully created and are all delicious! Next, the service. I had been intending to try this place out for a couple of years because its supposedly the best burger in Rockwall. Curiosity satisfied. It was fine, but I wont be back for burgers as long as Charlies is open right around the corner. Might swing back by for a hot dog someday, if I ever get an urge for a hot dog. Four stars...thats a lot of stars. Heres why it wasnt 5. First, at the register where we ordered, I was admiring the cute origami dollar bills and the lady at the register told me about them. She mentioned in passing that she has caught the owner unfolding them and using them when they are short on ones. Which happens to be illegal (unless hes just trading them out for fives). I dont think she knew that. Or maybe she did, because she seemed to catch herself and changed the subject to point out that the owner has a new book out that they are all very proud of. Next, it was cold in the main dining area. Frigid. And the trash bin in the dining area was overflowing although it was only 3pm and there were only a couple other customers. And the music was the last straw for the atmosphere. It was blaring. It was country. It was holiday music. Very loud country Xmas songs. Thats three strikes right there. We got burgers and shared a basket of fries. The burgers were a bit greasy and bland. The fries were tasty but mostly all broken up into little pieces. Did we get the last batch in the bottom of the bag? We only ate half of them. We were offered spicy ketchup and ranch with the fries and accepted both. The spicy ketchup was good but the ranch looked watered down and tasted like it was expired. For me the experience was probably just 3 stars, but I am pretty sure its just because Im spoiled to Charlies where everything is at least an 8 on a scale of one to five.

This is such an amazing restaurant. Rarely do I go to a place this good, in every way. The food was spectacular, they had keto options for my wife, and the keto options were honestly delicious unlike many keto-friendly options. The owner greeted us personally, since he was working the counter at the time. He was super nice and friendly, talked with us for a while, and gave us friendly recommendations for desserts. He even checked in with us twice during dinner to make sure we liked the food. The building was a cool place to eat, very quaint and nice. We dont live very close to it, but this will certainly be a place we come back to for an occasional treat. From the outside it looks like a little house. On the inside. It feels like a little house on the prairie that youre supposed to eat burgers in. The meat tastes fresh, the service was so fast. I got my food almost quicker than I could sit down. Even though it cost me $20 for a drink fries and a burger, I got to build the burger of my choice to my liking. The meat seemed to be fresh and not frozen. The cheese was delectable and melted perfectly on top of my burger. The fries were absolutely crispy and had the best seasoning.
