Very responsive and friendly office. My case was dismissed so basically a win for me and the Edgett law firm. They have a team of attorneys so you may not have the attorney that sits down with you initially but whoever they assign to your case is more than competent. I sat down with Mallory initially but ended up a ex district attorney now working for the Edgett law firm who the judge made a point to tell me was a great attorney. Couldn t of asked for a better outcome!

I called their law firm around 9 pm, after speaking to the receptionist she passed my call to Ms. Mallory immediately who understood the seriousness and sympathized with my situation. Ms. Mallory was kind enough to talk to me and guide me despite the fact my case didn t fall in their expertise. She guided me through the process, explained to me about how I should go about in my case and also provided me the right referrals. The fact that she took her personal time off and cared for me, speaks volumes! Thank you so much for your time. May God bless your firm always. Highly recommend them.

**Edit** I chose not to include any details, but since there is a reply there are things to address now. Thank you for giving me a template. You are surprised about my one (1) star review? When I FIRED you? When you returned almost no calls or emails, and scheduled a face to face meeting and you didnt show to that? And still refused my call so I waited around about half an hour... Now then, I asked to file a hearing to have my bond conditions (the one that prohibited me from talking to my wife AFTER the PO expired) and you claimed that could not be done. Even though the Honorable Judge told me in arraignment that I could do so, and best of luck to [me]. Turns out you were wrong, and my then new attorney said that should have been done long ago, and the hearing was made and the judge granted it as we desired. It was you who told me a bond condition did not apply to me. I asked when and how to submit a drug test as it was clearly on a generic form of bond conditions, or conditions of bond. You told me that condition didnt apply to me without any explanation. And if that were the case, what else might have been?! Your communication is a complete 0. My other attorney, Mr. Kent Starr, was fantastic and everything I hoped for in an attorney. He removed the bond conditions, he dismissed in less than a month the first case, and then ultimately dismissed the other case. Complete dismissals when you told me you were going to try for a conditional dismissal. I only ever fully complied and did as I was asked. My mistake was trusting you for as long as I did. Your next sentence starting with Finally is riddled with false claims, and shows your level of thoroughness. #1 the World Health Organization defines middle age as being 44-60 years of age. Well, you overshot the lowest mark by about 143%. Not only that, I never asked you to communicate with any family members individually, but rather be included in email correspondence. You neither made clear, nor gave a half-baked explanation. You only left them off of emails, etc. Again, it didnt take more time. The conditions were indeed modified. While CPS attorneys (who didnt have anything to do with THIS case) and the state expressed zero support. I fully complied with all judges orders, hence modifying the conditions through hearings. Lastly, I left this one (1) star review AFTER all cases were completely dismissed with 0 conditions. Charges were never filed as a felony, but a misdemeanor. And by the time of this review, dismissed. I would expect a law firm to be able to look that up and fact-check what they write.

October 2023, a warrant for my arrest was issued against me. Recently I needed some legal advice but was unsure how to find a lawyer to help me. I called Edgett Lconnectelaw. My objective was to find a way to change the terms of my current probation. I am a Vietnam combat veteran with P.T.S.D and severe sleep apnea. My probation is scheduled to end in 3 more years but I am 76 years old and given my health issues I may not live that long. I want to do some travel with my wife while I still can but the process is complicated. I am currently awaiting for approval of a European trip I promised her long ago. My call to Edgett was answered by Josh Harper. He listened patiently to the details of my problem knowing that his firm did not handle this kind of case. When I was wrongly ticketed with misdemeanor assault, you could fill a thimble with what I knew of the law. So I asked Scott Edgett to help me with the case, and despite its misdemeanor status, he agreed! He prepared my misdemeanor case like he was going to take it to trial, and got all kinds of information on the case. Lo and behold, when he went in front of the city attorney, not only did the city attorney opt to dismiss my case, but also my attackers too (she was family)! These folks are the absolute best! During a very confusing time for my wife and me, Scott and his family made things very clear for us. Defending yourself against false accusations sometimes is harder than defending yourself against valid accusations!! It is too long but every single word describes how bad was this person. I hired him for 3rd degree felony which was completely misunderstanding, as my wife said something to the police while she meant something else . When I get arrested she hired Scott by herself. And I think that any lawyer would love nothing more than to find the accused and the victim together on the same side. After he took half of the fees upfront he asked both of us to come to his office separately in two different meetings times, my wife went to his office first, she was surprised by him as if he had turned into someone else, very nervous, cynical, and threatened her that he would use things from her previous marriage against her to convict her, it s unbelievable, she was the person who hired him to solve this problem. She became very scared when she left his office but she didn t tell me about that . despite that she gave him a signed affidavit of non prosecution which he didn t even give it to the DA. He was very smart because he knows that my wife has anxiety and this will make her afraid to deal with him and me and no longer trust me, as she been convinced by everyone that this behavior means Scott and I are trying to put her in the jail. On the other hand, he was trying to convince me that she is not a normal woman and that she is well aware of what she is doing to get me into the jail, which led to a major crisis in the relationship between me and my wife. at that time I thought about divorce, when I told him that, he said to me: Yes, you must divorce her, because she is bad and selfish, and he added that if you want a family lawyer, I have one. All of these just in order to bring the case to a Jury , making it more complicated to take more money.I was really confused about what me wife doing while her daughter stopped talking to me too, she was the only connection between us due to the protective order. it was like a nightmare since December 2020 until June 2021, During these months I lost my job due to the background check while I still have to pay all the bills plus paying for the lawyer, rent another apartment to live in as I can t be in the same house with her . I end up owe 35000 dollars to the bank, my credit score dropped from 780 to 600, and the owner of the house refused to renew the house for us again due to the background check and the credit score. So I called and begged him many times asking what I have to do, he s been so rod when he answer but most of time didn t answer my phone or respond to my email unless when The message is related to the money . Also never respect my privacy and put me on the speaker and let everyone listen . Finally he came up with stupid idea which is ( to have my wife to go by herself to the DA and tell them that she was lie ) otherwise I ll be in the jail. at this point I realized that I m dealing with a scammer. But it was too late, I had no money to hire another lawyer. So I decided to brake the protective order and go to my wife to see what is going on but she was already convinced by her family that I ll try to take revenge on her, she was very nervous and scared and I wasn t able to communicate with her at all, when I left she called the police and I became accused for another case. I didn t know about that unless I got arrested, Because he didn t even filed a clearance to represent me as my lawyer, he didn t know that there is a warrant of arrest has been issued for me . He did nothing when he knew that the police took me to the jail and When I get released from the jail he requested 5500 dollars to work on this pretending that this is a new case. finally our families later intervened to solve these problems when Hala told them what happened , this time I knew what this scammer did, so I applied for a loan and hired another lawyer. so when respond please mention why you told her you would use documents from her previous marriage against her to prove that she is bad. You were very smart for doing that. all what you say is based on your threatening to my wife Please be careful of such scammer

I ran into a very difficult time in Collin County and ended up facing a felony charge and almost lost my wife to the circumstances and almost lost our kids to CPS. Long story short, I put myself in a completely horrible predicament and I was scared I would never recover from it. I didnt know what to do and CPS and the DA were moving FAST against me. But I knew one thing, I didnt want to lose my wife or kids. And Two, I would do anything to clear my name. I am a good person and I refuse to let this incident define me. I am so glad Scott and his team were there when I needed him most. I was in such a complicated case. He definitely knows how to bring the honesty and transparency to the forefront of any predicament. Going through this really tested me as a husbamd who swore to take care of his wife and our children. And if it werent for Scott, I would be alone, a felon in jail and in endless debt. I had a 3rd degree felony (my 4th) dropped down to a misdemeanor B thanks to the best lawyers I ve ever met. I had got a dwi a few years ago, got out on bond and messed It up. Got put in jail on a no bond and with no lawyer wanting to help me out, even had a few even hang up on my fiancé when she called trying to get advice saying I was pretty much screwed. Ben came to see me that same day within 3 hours of hiring just to meet me and let me know they are on the case. It meant a lot to someone that had been sitting in jail all week thinking there was no way of getting out and not even a foreseeable court date. I was out the next Business day before dinner time not only did he get the judge to go back on my no bond he got my original bond reinstated so I didn t even need to find another bondsmen!!! Spoke with Scott on the phone to get some clarifications when I was likely being extorted and worrying about what I should do. Never in my life did I ever think I needed a criminal defense attorney. I made a mistake and had no clue where to turn. I made some calls around town but no one really sounded compassionate about helping me. Scott actually reached out to me because I believe I got his answering service. Scott truly understands that good people sometimes make bad decisions, and will go to war for you. I was going through a rough divorce and custody battle, and was arrested for DWI. Scott Edgett is an excellent attorney!!! I am a public figure. A very petty individual made a petty attempt to ruin my reputation and public perception by pressing bogus misdemeanor assault charges against me. Scott worked hard to get those charges dismissed without going to trial. Despite Scotts efforts, the case went to trial anyway. Scott was prepared... He was smart... He was aggressive... And ultimately won the trial... not guilty... and got the charges dismissed! It was really impressive to see how he argued my case. I have never had any issues with the law. Sometimes when you are successful... petty people, spitefully attack your character. Being falsely accused for something like assault can cause you a lot of concern and make you feel anxious and uncomfortable. But there is really no need to worry. You are in good hands with Scott Edgett. My only regret was having any worries at all. I can now get back to my normal life, with my reputation in tact, thanks to Scott.
