Very selfish lady who was cleaning the restrooms did not let me use the bathroom because Im wasnt at the moment a paying customer. Dont come here. Place is pretty much empty (for a reason). Selfish management. And they probably call thenselves Christian. Would Jesus deny a toilet? How is this establishment still in business is beyond me.

The old man that works there needs an attitude adjustment. He was super rude to us for eating food from a food truck in the front seating area just inside Oak Street. Sorry we didnt see the signs out front, we just wanted a little air conditioning while my wife gave our infant daughter a bottle and we had a little lunch. Now I can understand if the place was packed or if it was any other day of the year besides Roanoke Roundup, but there truly was NO ONE in there. We come to Soul Fire every time were in town, they have good beer. But after that experience we wont be back. Tacky old man...

Met the owner, and she instantly made me feel like family. Great selection of drinks, the food has a wide selection that was really good. I went again the next night, and it was an equally pleasant night. Dont miss out on the cupcakes, which are very good and satisfying. Will definitely make the stop here again !

I am from the area and have been to Soul Fire many times as the location and layout are great. The problem is the beer is okay at best compared to other breweries, and the restaurant venues mostly go out of business after a short time, so you cant plan to have a certain meal. Even with that, if there were just a welcome or hello, that made you want to visit, it would make up for a lot, but there isn t. It s very transactional. We will probably stop by again because of the outside seating and location, but regrettably, Soul Fire is never our first choice.

First time guests. The beer was good but there was very little food to choose. The menu shown by the QR code at the table looked great but when we tried to order, none of it was available apparently so we just ordered chicken tenders and fries from the food court. It was awful, old oil taste, undercooked chicken, horrible. Will not return.

Had a great experience here on a Saturday evening when I was looking for a new brewery to try and wanted to watch college football. The bartenders were friendly and made beer recommendations and offered samples to try. I opted to start with a flight and then stuck with their Dunkel. I had a side salad and the steak sandwich from one of the counter service restaurants that serve at the brewery as well. The live acoustic music was an added bonus too!

THIS PLACE IS AMAZING! Ive been going to Soul Fire for the past year. My husband love their beer and I love their cider and cocktails. Ive attended their karaoke night on Fridays SO MUCH FUN! Great brewery! I tried multiple of their beers while visiting, and there wasnt a bad/boring one among them. They have interesting sours and stouts, which are my go-to beer styles. The staff was also friendly and fun to chat with. They have a full bar if beer isnt your thing as well. The brewery itself doesnt serve food, but there is a small food court attached to it, where you can order food. I had a great time while there, and I will be back.

We enjoy going on Sunday for music bingo. The servers are nice at the bar, drinks are good. The attached food hall has been disappointing at this time of day for getting food-Creole place-(Sunday-2:30/3pm), but we did get naughty tots from the Hot Potato place this time they were good for something different. I d get them again. I like the principle behind the food court, but they need better set consistent hours, and not run out of food/close early every time.

Very interesting place! They are BUMPING! Very loud (we went on karaoke night) but a very fun atmosphere. They have about 6 different little eateries that you can order from inside. All different types of food. And then they have a nice inside and outside bar area to hang out and enjoy some music, games, or just the vibe! They have tons of options on tap and the cocktails were great. Definitely recommend stopping in but make sure you re not in a rush! The brewery was great with a good variety of beers. I also had a well-prepared mixed drink. The service was good and attentive. They had a live band (Fun Band) that was great. Food was fine but mainly snack and appatiser food. Very spacious location. The electricity went out a couple of times for a few minutes, but that was all along Oak Street; it was not the brewerys fault. The City of Roanoke and ONCOR need to upgrade the transformers in that area for greater electric delivery reliability if the Citys obvious redevelopment along Oak Street will be successful with reliable electric power.

We literally just came here because of our awful experience down the street at Shannon Brewery. I m town for my moms funeral and was looking to get out and relax a little with the family including our dogs. This brewery was not only welcoming the staff was amazing. The absolute worst Barbecue Ive ever had in my life and this place doesnt even deserve one star. No drink selection, no sides like potato salad, no pickles, Mac n Cheese, and the Brisket Sandwich has so much Fat in it, that it was edible and left on the table. Soul Fire rocks! It s located right in the heart of Downtown Roanoke and it s always a good time. They have beer for every taste bud. They re particularly keen on IPA and Stouts. However, if for some reason you don t like any of Soul Fire s beers (almost impossible), they do have over a dozen guest beers. They also have liquor. Its a brewery with a bar and outside seating. They have excellent beers on tap as well as some nice allocated bottles of whiskey. Recently found this place and love it! Will be repeat customers for sure.

Asked for a double, got charged for a double, only received a single. As a former bartender, I can tell you that there is zero understanding of pour technique for some bartenders here. I got a 2 count of vodka, a 4 count of kahlua and a splash of cream not a double. The owner is nice enough and appears to really care about her customers. If you read these reviews: please train your employees to not charge for a double if they don t know how to pour one.

Staff is super nice & told us all about the many options they & the other restaurants offer. Hidden Jem: 8 different restaurants in 1 place. Prices are comparable & the quantity & quality are abundant! Plenty of indoor & outdoor seating. Dogs welcome outside. Atmosphere is very welcoming & pleasant.
