Every time I come I have to sit with Tatum. She deserves to be one of the top waitresses. Never had a bad experience while sitting with her. Respectful and knows how to manager her time within each table. Very hard to top her in my opinion!

My girlfriend and I come every two weeks and have had no complaints thus far! Tatum has been our server since December and is absolutely amazing!!! She has great customer service skills, super sweet and friendly. We request her every time we go out now.

I want to share an experience I had when sitting at the chair rail seating around the dance floor. I had been at this seat for 2 hrs getting up to dance and restroom breaks. I was dancing and came back to sit down and a young girl was in my seat. I told her thats my drink and been sitting here for hours. She said I got up and its free seating. Apparently she had no eticate, and cursed me getting up. Half hour later 2 whisky river personal came up and told me these seats were open seating if you get up for any reason someone can take your seat and its too bad. They went on to say thats there policy. You get up too bad. If I was to walk around the dance floor and wait for someone to go dance I have the right to take there seat. If i would have done that i would be thrown out. YES THIS IS WHISKY RIVERS POLICY ACCORDING TO THERE PERSONEL. Do you know how many fights there would be if everyone went by there policy and had no eticate. It disgust me that so many young girls have no eticate. She should have just said Im sorry sir I thought the seats were not taken and moved on. So just beware that whisky river policy is you get up from the rail seat to dance or restroom your seat can be taken even if you have a drink your phone a purse a jacket on the chair while your dancing. Its poor policy. Maybe they should have a sign on the wall posted all around the dance floor. If you get up for any reason your seat can be taken, THATS OUR POLICY!

Love Whiskey River West. I recently went there with a group of friends. After buying the last round of drinks and closing out my tab, I left I establishment when I realized I did not have my debit card, I had left it in my wallet at the bar. I went back to the bar and the bartender had my wallet waiting for me. I never left so much relief, specially these days . Thank you so much to whiskey river, and the awesome bartender Miguel!! He is awesome!!!

What a fun night! The dance lessons are a great date-night idea! Been enjoying date-nights at Whiskey River West for the past 6 weeks! We look forward to the fun, casual atmosphere and have even started spreading the word around. Now have several others who join me for the dance lessons and stay around for a couple of hours for an evening of dancing and meeting more new friends. Fun! Fun! Fun!

This place has changed a whole lot since it first opened. The atmosphere is more club oriented rather than country western. If you truly want to two step and line dance I would recommend stampede. This location has a high turnover rate for management and I think that is to blame for it going so downhill. Its still a cool place to check out. They have three bars so its not too difficult to get a drink, one dance floor, and a mechanical bull. Latin night is Thursdays. Dance lessons offered early Friday afternoon. No cover before 10 pm. Parking: Free parking offered on site and valet is $10.

I ve been a few times to the Teen Nights over the summer and holidays and the atmosphere is top tier! The line dance classes are rlly fun even if you already know the dances! The music is great but as you might ve read it could use more country than rap or pop but still those songs add to the mood of the night. It feels very safe in there and as a girl that has gone with friends and alone ive never experienced any sort of harassment or felt uncomfortable. The one thing i wish they d change is either the entry price ($20), once inside when you inevitably get thirsty you have to pay $1.50 for a tiny plastic cup with tap water and a ton of ice and $2.50 for soda that comes in the same tiny cup with even more ice like if I m paying $20 dollars to be in there either make the drinks be included with entry, lower the prices or make the drink sizes be worth the money we pay!! UPDATE They actually have a wider variety of drinks options and snacks for fairer prices in the now!! And now you get the actual can/bottle of the drink! Also you can store things in the counter for $3!! :)

Overall, my experience with this place is good. However, I have one complaint. The male bartender who wears a cowboy hat and works on the left side of the bar when you enter the club is a complete hater. He has called out several people for not leaving him a tip. The first time was the night I was about to leave the club, but I decided to get a beer before I did, and I didnt leave him a tip. The only reason I didnt leave him a tip was that I had already tipped $25 throughout the night and unfortunately didnt have any more cash with me when I got to him. However, I dont think that should give him the right to start calling anyone out for not leaving him personally a tip. Plus, I did tip $25 throughout the night, so he did receive a tip from me. So, after that night, Ive had several people tell me about their own personal experiences with this bartender, and as of now, they have all been negative. Hopefully, with this review, they can talk to him and he can change his ways.

My cousin and I were standing in line and some girl cut us so we approached her and we told her she was cutting the line. She got upset and was saying things to us, after this she walked to us towards the bathroom stall and then that s when the altercation happen. She hit my cousin a couple of times after she hit me. Overall some girl opened the door and we all walked out, and she hit my cousin again. I asked the cop if the other girl got kicked out as well, and she said I don t I know. This is ridiculous we were just standing in line trying to go to the bathroom and this happened. After this my anltercation and we got banned!!!! How long does it take for security to get there, this is ridiculous.

WR is a great bar. Its not so crowded you cant move and the additional space outside will give you that reprieve if you need it. Its actually like 2 bars when you go outside. We take all friends who visit us here or couples and its just a safe place. There is good security and police presence, so that keeps the idiots at bay.

The DJ uses all the same songs every Thursday and only puts the actually Latin songs for a short amount of time. Hopefully the dj can work on adding new music to his playlists. First time there and it was a very good experience fun too, nice restroom but could use constant attention, it was running out of toilet paper and soap women in front were asking others for toilet paper. My husband also said the mens RR was horrible, a flood of what possibly urine unless a sink or toilet had a leak. I felt sorry for him & other men. Bartender was honest, my dear friend left her wallet and bartender was able to communicate with her of it and was retrieved in tact. Very pleased

I know a lot of people stay away since there music can go miles until 2 a.m. on certain nights and residential areas that can be a football field away. The residential areas were there before them as well years earlier. The zoning bases on corrupt zoning, that many people dont trust once they have experienced it. Sound goes down for awhile and they comes back and hundreds of people call the Ft Bend Country Sheriff which I havent. They even do it on weekdays sometimes. A couple of kids in my class where I work told me they went to Whiskey River and they are not of age. I believe not everyone is being carded? Obviously, many of the politicians dont have our interest and the system is corrupt and money grubbing. They are blasting it tonight with kids having to go to school and people working .People shouldnt buy a house in Texas with the corrupt zoning. Like I pointed out it can come years later too. .

They are a nuisance and even blast music until 2 a.m. They will blast music on weekdays of school and people going to work. Hundreds of people call the Ft. Bend County Sheriff complaining. Do not buy a house three miles from them. I guess many of the politicians are money grubbers and corrupt? Many know what is going on here but go along with it criminally. My husband heard two students that were in his class that are minors say they went to Whiskey River in his class and he asked them if they were carded and they said no. After this experience I wouldnt recommend buying a house anywhere in Texas and it came fifteen years later after we were here.

I had such a bad experience dealing with destiny. I waited in line for 10 mins I was behind two people. She was taking a while making the drinks and decided to have a conversation with the customer. Ashley Jones Im glad to hear about the new policy of not letting thin blue line gang members in with their firearm. They are entering into an establishment that doesnt allow concealed carry holders in due to state law. Its a bar that makes more than half their revenue off selling alcohol, pretty simple. Weird how a regular citizen has to know and follow the law yet they get pissy when they have to and leave a petty review. We always have a good time at Whiskey River. LEOs; read this. Apparently their policy recently changed to where off-duty law enforcement is no longer allowed to concealed carry on premises. This is the first time I ve been denied entry anywhere as an armed LEO in my entire career. With all the shootings happening, you d think they would want as many trained and armed officers in their business as possible. But whatever, it s their business; however, once I told them they might want to post something about this on their website to avoid this situation from happening again, I was advised it s been happening to other LEOs also, but they weren t sure how to word it, so this is me wording it for them. If you re an LEO, either don t come here or take the risk of not carrying off-duty. If you are an armed off-duty LEO, you aren t welcome in. I m not so sure that s very pro-law enforcement of them. Also, those deputies working EJs inside probably would appreciate the help from their colleagues, and not your bouncers in their cute little pearl-snap shirts, in the event things went bad. 2 star review, because of the bouncer s attitude about the situation. No need to flex that hard, sir. Cool your jets a little. The manager, Monica, was wonderful and remedied the situation for the evening, rather than telling me to leave it in my car, as the kind gentleman at the door suggested. Come on now. Anyway. Overall, this place is cool. Good music. Older crowd. And the tacos are delicious. Not sure if I will be back based on this recent policy change, but we ll see.

I want to like this place. But the last two times I have come here, the bartenders have been rude. If youre not a regular, you receive terrible service. The manager asks you to move tables because they are reserved but have no reserved signs like the others. You get kicked out because you have had too much to drink, yet you have others stumbling and not making any sense when speaking. So unprofessional - I tried giving them a second chance because of the terrible experience we received the first time from a male bartender (they are big and bad behind the counter). Had the worst experience last night! This was my third time going to this location and never had any bad issues. So me and my boyfriend went to the bar to order our 2nd round of beers, we were going to get 2 beers and one shot but he forgot about one beer and paid for the single beer and shot. I told him go buy the other beer and I ll wait right here next to you. So he goes back to the bar with the SAME bartender we ordered from the first round of drinks. I noticed the bartender kept walking back and forth ignoring him mind you there was about 5 other guys waiting to order next to him. So then I see one of the bouncers I guess (red shirt guys) come out and a tall white lady go talk with the bartender (she was short with blonde hair and light skinned). Then that tall lady begins talking with my boyfriend and I m like what is happening so my boyfriend comes to me and says that the bartender told the bar manager my boyfriend was making her feel uncomfortable because he supposedly threw money at her and couldn t count the money right! Mind you I was next to him the whole time and that never happened! He paid cash and needed extra money so I gave him 20$ out of my purse to give to her. So I become infuriated and start telling the lady off! Like we are paying customers and for her to say that made no sense. All the bar manager said was the bartender had every right not to serve him and etc. That we weren t being kicked out but couldn t order from that side of the bar anymore we would have to go to the other side. I understood yes she s a woman and things can happen but my boyfriend didn t ever once do that and for her to single out him but not the other guys literally looking at her up and down made me sooo mad! We weren t even there an hour and they ruined our night. Never coming back to this location!!

Overall a fun place- the only thing that was disappointing was having to pay a cover even though we paid for a table-that didn t make much sense the other thing was that they definitely let too many people in! It was so packed you couldn t move anywhere without bumping into someone! Obviously a club will be packed but not that much to where you feel like canned sardines!

Miguel bartender/manager is absolutely trash. I walk in went straight to the bar to order my drinks and he didn t even look at me or have any eye contact, he was texting on his phone the entire time, when I ordered he says yeah without even looking up at me with no acknowledgment turns around while remaining on his phone turns around and just starts making my drinks. Not too sure what he s so upset about maybe it s because he HAS to take orders for a living however that s a him problem not a customer problem. We ve been in there with a party of 5 consistently for months, and it never fails that s he s rude every single time. I closed my tab and obviously left him a $0 tip (for the first time) because I m sorry last time I checked you are in the hospitality industry and you are supposed to be hospitable. Last night I was not going to tolerate it anymore. We left and went to another bartender and ordered drinks correctly per TABC guidelines. Tried to complain to the other bartender and they call the GM and Monica herself is a female dog and we walked out. We are locals in the area and I ve been a bartender for 12 years and I constantly rave about finally having somewhere to go in the area. They are obviously NOT thinking about the future of this place because as soon as another bar opens up whiskey river will suffer for it. They don t care right now because they are super busy however when another bar comes no one will tolerate it. Side note: Monica decided to approach us from behind the bar which was laughable considering she calls herself a GM and doesn t approach customers on the customers side of the bar. Do better whiskey river and hire a new staff because they re all trash.

The GM Monica Luna must be sleeping with the rude male bar manager Miguel Alvarez. He s so rude. We closed our tab with him and went to the other bar. They refused to serve us. Monica Luna came up and was SO rude. Told us we could leave if we want, said he cut us off which is not true. Monica s exact words were my name is Monica, leave a review, call whoever you want . Management needs some major help. Look at previous reviews, many people have complained about the male bar manager/bartender. Monica Luna told us Miguel Alvarez didn t have a bad attitude, even though she wasn t even present when he served us with his stank attitude and bad breath. They are targeting the wrong people, but over serving other people who are losing their lives after leaving here from being so intoxicated. Owner should really reevaluate management here.

During the summer and occasionally during the other months they have Monday reserved as teen night. No alcohol and the kids seem to have a great time in a safe place. The staff is very professional. They allow parents in (at no cover) but are kept in a cornered off area that is risen so they can see the club. I cant see this as a big money maker for the club. They charge a $20.00 cover which probably covers the expenses. This gives young people a place to go and burn off some energy in a safe place. Im usually the only parent up there and sit quietly and read. I suggest any other parent do the same and not be a distraction for the staff who have their hands full.

If I could give zero stars I absolutely would! They do not check ids and over serve minors even when the bartenders know that person is underage. Bartenders are taught not to serve people after a certain amount and I know for a fact that they are supposed to check ids correctly before entering. I used to love this place until they let my son in and over served him (the bartender knew who he was) he lost his life that night

Thursday Latin night was good last night, DJ is lit. My first time going to this club. Cashier was nice and welcoming, but both the female bartenders by the entrance bar were not friendly and seemed bothered. No fun energy or good vibes from them. The male bartender at least seemed friendly and would smile. Drinks are watered down. Different bartenders on Latin night will definitely spice things up in here!

Five on the music, however, our vehicle got vandalized. I invited a group of friends(some first-timers), we all work in healthcare and needed some much needed therapy. We had an amazing time, until we got home, we noticed that our vehicle had been vandalized. Highly recommend that they increase their security. It was a stressful/disappointing/expensive ending it s truly unfortunate that this happened to us on our first visit!

We normally enjoy WRW, but last night was just not it. I guess we ve gotten lucky to only go on nights with DJ Damian the past 2 years. DJ Jammin J just didn t do it for us. The rap music and constant techno transitions gave me real Midtown vibes. A lot of shout outs that didn t pertain to birthdays. Played a lot of country songs that half the crowd didn t know. It was packed and if there are only 5 couples on the floor dancing, it s time to read the room and change the song. No complaints on drinks or service. Main bar crew is great.

Great spot to come with friends and have a good time. Come alittle early on the weekends to book a table or section. Restrooms are big, not dirty. Theres always water for everyone at the end of the bars. Always a lot of fun. priced reasonably. Plenty of parking spots as well.
