In light of recent events, the cell phone policy needs to be reviewed and revised. The only reason my child has a cell phone is to call her parents to check in and in case of emergency situations. Ive instructed my child to call me EVERY SINGLE DAY between school and the link program to assure her safety and make sure she had a good day. So far there has already been an incident where a male staff member raised his voice and quite literally yelled at my child on her birthday about not having a cell phone. It was literally the first 24 hours of her having it and the first time she was to call me as part of a new safety routine we partake in. I understand rules and so does my child. We understand there is a time and place for everything, but to hinder a childs ability to call for help instead of making a note and notifying the parent is in my opinion ridiculous. I hope there are changes made soon. The disrespect was unprofessional and shameful.

Reviews of my 35th visit to a facility on 75 DFW / North Texas cities with 309 locations. This one is The Link Recreation Center in Richland Hills. DPA (Dallas Pickleball Associations) Rating: Overall, 8.7/10*. This place looks really nice and clean inside. Location on 6750 Baker Blvd, Richland Hills, TX 76118. The Link Recreation Center has 3 Indoor courts: floors rubberized material. (8.3/10 Court rating). All 3 courts were being used at my arrival time of 9:40 on Mon 08 26 2024. Court 1 is for Beginners & Intermediate. Court 3 is for Advance players. Court 2 rotates between B&I and A. Court 1 Level of Play 2.5 3.2. Court 3 level play was 3.5 4.0. Pickleball everyday (Mon-Sun) see flyer for dates and Times. One OP evening: Tuesday 6pm -7:55 pm. Lighting was very good. Placing paddles in stacks on bench court 3; court 1 uses stacking paddles on a table. Orange indoor Onix ball is the primary ball used. Ceilings were approximately 22 feet high. The rubberized flooring is some of the best as far as less stress on joints and legs. The ball bounces consistent. The problem with this facility there is air pockets which causes some issues in the flooring(luckily the problem areas are outside of the court. They will probably fix this floor sometime this year. This floor issue caused a lower court ranking. The flooring didn t cause any issue when I played on Court 3 this morning. Pros: $5 DI and $15 month for PB only. Free for most senior insurance programs. See flyer for all programs covered. Not too crowded. Many Open Play times. Cons: Flooring needs work. *The DPA review was my own view, this was based on my visit at that particular time and day. The review might have been different on another day and/or time. Everyone has their own opinion.

Camp Connect needs to learn how to manage a group of diverse children and handle behavior issues without shaming kids. You can simply say we dont do that here, its against the rules and dish out whatever the consequence is. There is no need to lecture a young child about how their behavior is a reflection of the camp and their family and say things like dont be around those bad kids, find the good kids to hang around. The camp representative I talked to (Alexis) told me this is what they had told my child. She then couldnt see the clear connection between her words and my childs feeling of worthlessness. He cried all the way home and was being extraordinarily self-critical, which is unlike him. Even when i tried to explain that there arent bad kids, just bad behaviors, she really struggled to see the difference. When I mentioned some training on trauma informed care might be helpful, she said we got training... like how some kids dont respond well if you yell in their face. If this is the extent of their training, they are doing their counselors and our children a disservice. Do better Link... the kids in our community are worth it. TLDR: my child has done 5 other camps this summer and has been so excited to return to all of them every day, but would rather spend the last three days of this week at work with us than go back here.

If your child is not inside the box and easy to deal with please dont bring them here especially as long as Angela is one of the directors! She will roll her eyes at you, tell you they dont have appropriate cleaners for kids who happen to get sick, brag about having behavioral certifications but cant handle or teach her staff to handle children who have any issues, told me they werent childcare they were just camp when childcare is plastered all over their website! My daughter went there off and on for 3 years and the staff never had issues handling my child until Angela came along. But according to her my daughter was too much for their staff! Complete discrimination and absolutely unacceptable!

Do not recommend. Stay away if you want a peaceful experience with the front desk. Nothing but issues from the older woman that works the front desk in the evenings. She will give you nothing but trouble.

This place is really nice. New, clean, and friendly are all words that describe the Link. There are so many activities for all age groups. The only thing that held it back from 5 stars is the cost. The initial fee is high enough but if that was all it would be good. This base price gains you access to the building and the fitness equipment. But the fitness classes, kids programs, and other activities add to the cost. Making the total bottom line costly. The value is there but one does have to decide if this is a good fit for your needs due to pricing.

Instructor is also a senior offering modifications for beginners who want to try gentle, clinical yoga. More and more physicians are referring their patients to yoga classes! Coming soon every Friday 9am beginning in September: Yoga for Arthritis!

This Saturday I threw an event here for my baby shower. Donna main manger was so sweet & nice I signed my contract with her a few weeks before. I had my event for two hours. 5pm was my time to end things and I had 30 minutes to clean up. Right at 5 pm I opened my last gift and at the same time a manager name AMANDA popped her head in my party and said You know you have to be out of here in 30 minutes and it has to be cleaned me and my guest mouth dropped from such RUDENESS!!!! Little do they know I had a great team and cleaned up in 10 minutes. Monday when I did called to complain to Donna she did apologize to me along with excuses for Amanda. This behavior was unprofessional and there are ways to say things nicely and Amanda could of pulled me aside and said Hey just giving you a heads up it s 5 I am extremely disappointed in the staff here! I will NEVER do business with The Link ever! You embarrassed me in front of my guest who even drove as far as Oklahoma just to be there. I hope you honestly addressed Amanda of her unprofessional behavior Ms. Donna she needs better training.

They are kind, down-to-earth people who know how to make each workout count, while also offering alternate movements so that all fitness levels benefit from each class. I especially love Aubrees Yoga and Pilates, and Abbys Build and Burn classes. And for only $30 a month, it cant be beat!

When I heard they were building a recreation center in Richlans Hills I couldnt wait to join. The equipment is nice but thats it. There are 4 large televisions hung up above the treadmills and although not a SINGLE person was here except me I was not allowed to change the channel on any one of them, I was also chased down by the frint desk lady for bringing a sonic cup (with a lid of course) mixed with water and Gatorade (ive done this for years since I like the ice). It was placed in the large cup holder but she still wouldnt budge. Ill keep my 24-hour fitness membership where i can watch what i want during my workout and drink my gatorade in peace.
