New review 8/20/24 Taking back my low rating. Apparently I ordered the wrong food. The last 6 months this has been my go to spot for bun rieu (crab and pork noodle soup) definitely come here for that dish because. It slaps hard! Original review 8 years ago. 5 stars because the place was super clean with a friendly staff. 2 stars because the pho is very bland, the eggrolls is mediocre. However, the spring rolls was very good and peanut sauce was on point.

07/10/24: stopped by for lunch and had their bun cha hanoi. It had grilled seasoned ground pork patties and slice pork, and tons of veggies and noodles. You can make lettuce wraps or make your own bun bowl. It was delicious and big enough to share for 2. Update: came back to try one of their hu tieu soups and it was so good! I loved it with the garlic they provide! Yum yum! Came for lunch with some friends and had the goi cuon, shaking beef, pho tai bo Vien, and bun rieu. My friend really liked her shaking beef. It was her first Vietnamese food experience. She said shes going to try other dishes so thats a good sign I asked my other friend who is Vietnamese if the pho was better at Pho Bac and she said this place was pretty darn good! Lastly, I had the bun rieu and my eyes are way bigger than my stomach. I got the large and I could not finish it all. It was super yummy and they didnt skimp on the typical ingredients that are in bun rieu.

Whenever I come in, I cant choose the seating corner I like, the waiter always says: Please go over there (space) over here, its being cleaned, even though the restaurant is very empty and very clean. The most important thing is that a female employee (named Trinh) has a very unfriendly way of pushing customers. Ive known this restaurant for a long time, there are delicious dishes, but the service is getting worse and worse. Maybe this is the last time we come here. Soup bowls were just warm. When you cook viet soup and bring out without steam...you are done. Pho broth was not savory enough....i think new water just added ....not ready to serve......we had two bowls of spicy noodle but only 1 portion of vegie.....i got eye balls rolling when asked for 2nd one......i know it was 6 pm but they close at 8pm....viet restaurants are always in consistent in service. It s been good last 2 years and i have a feeling it s going down just like others. Also price went up 2 dollars in most dishes and portion is a bit less compare to a few months a go. Typical viet way of business.

FOOD INSTAGRAM: @northtx.gemz WHAT THEY RE KNOWN FOR: their bun Bo hue! It s a spicy Vietnamese beef noodle soup that is super popular. I would say after the new owner change at Pho Tay Do down the street, Pho An is the better competitor. THE VIBE: Classic Vietnamese hole in the wall. Just wear your most casual bum clothes haha. PRICE: ~$25 WOULD I COME BACK? Yes. Overall Rating: 9/10 - Solid Vietnamese food in Richardson, TX! I was recommended this place by my coworker and she was so right this place has some solid pho and bun Bo - Richardson is pretty far for me but I would definitely say this is worth the drive for the bun Bo since it s a speciality dish. You can find pho mostly anywhere that s solid but this bun Bo is worth the visit! - The bun Bo isn t overly spicy but it s definitely spicy enough to where it s packed with flavor. The beef was really chewy to where it was inedible but tbh I don t eat a lot of meat so I was fine eating the broth and noodles because the meat taste was still there ofc. But if that s a concern of yours, it might be hit or miss because I m assuming it was just a bad meat day. - My mom s chicken pho was packed with flavor! With these prices you re really not losing anything.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Pho Anh, and I must say, its an absolute gem in the Richardson culinary scene. Now, lets talk about the star of the show the food. Pho Anhs menu is a treasure trove of Vietnamese culinary delights. I had the opportunity to sample a variety of dishes, and each one was a testament to the chefs skill and dedication to authenticity. The pho, in particular, was a standout; the rich, flavorful broth and perfectly cooked noodles were simply exceptional. GO HERE!

I love this place! My boss took me, my son & his partner here for lunch one day & it was amazing. Ive had pho at another place when I worked in Southlake, but this place right here is hands down the best place to get pho. The service was really fast, as soon as you order, 5 mins later they are coming back with your food. The bowl that your pho comes in is really big, you will be full for the rest of the day. The atmosphere was great too! If you are ever in Richardson & are craving some really good pho, stop here!

I visited for the very first time and the service was horrible!! I ordered the chicken curry pho and didn t care for it & ordered something different. I found out during check out that I was responsible to pay half of the order due to preparation. Had I known this prior to my order I wouldn t have ordered anything else. I then asked for a to go container & was advised that I was already provided two in which the two provided was for the other person that was with me.After pulling 3 teeth I was finally provided with a to go container. The food that I did order was good but I will never patron here again due to the unpleasant service. I pretty much paid $7 to taste something I didn t like SMH.Message to owner I teach a course on legendary service and would love to teach a lesson on customer service. Please advise your customers prior to if they don t care for their menu selection that you will be charged a preparation fee. Signed a pissed customer

Great food! Came in for a quick lunch and we got the pho and bun bo hue. Both were delicious. Pho is a classic southern style broth, good amount of meat (got gau nam). Bun bo hue was good in flavor with beefy depth. I would have liked a bit more lemon grass flavor, but that s my preference coming from a Hue mom. Mam and ot sauté were given as a classic addition. Standard Vietnamese service. Nothing bad. We did get a water refill without asking and that s a big deal! Overall coming back. I like supporting a range of Vietnamese restaurants and I m adding this one to the rotation.

We have been at this place many times. We always come with a big group. The last time we were there, we ordered 3 Bowles of pho 3 Bowles of bun Bo Hue and they only gave us 1 plate of beansprouts when ask for more since there isn t enough for all of us. The waitress was giving us attitude. When checking out they charged us $2 dollars for the extra veggie. We ask them why? They said it was extra. No, it s not extra, they don t give us enough. Plus if they re going to charge for it they should have been up front with us about the cost. I would have pay that $2 . It s the anything but the principle of them charging us with out telling us is not call for, plus the owner was trying to arguing with us on how the supplies cause more nowadays. Again i wouldn t mind to pay for it if it s right. We wouldn t return for sure and hope you all be aware when eating there. Good luck !!

I decided to eat here as I was looking for somewhere to eat after working out at the gym across the street, and Pho An definitely hit the spot!! The prices at Pho An are slightly cheaper compared to the many other Vietnamese restaurants in the area. To start, I had the egg rolls, which I was rather disappointed by. As you can see in my picture, they werent fried properly. Some areas of the egg roll skin were pale whereas other sides were dark brown. However, Pho An quickly redeemed itself as the banh mi was a whole other story. Hands down the BEST banh mi Ive had!! My friend and I ordered a second one because it was THAT good. Next, the pho was good, but not great. Again, the price is more affordable than other spots though. My friend ordered the rice vermicelli noodles. I dont recall which meat she picked, but it was super flavorful and juicy.

The food was amazing! I ordered a chicken dish and one with tofu and vegetables. Very fresh. The wonton soup that accompanied the meal was excellent. The spring rolls were my absolute favorite. They were stuffed with shrimp that was seasoned well w the noodles. Would definitely return! They were quite polite upon entry to pick up my meals! Yum!!

Best Bun Bo Hue Ive had in Dallas area. In my opinion, the broth flavor is better than Pho Tay Do. I would highly recommend you give their Bun Bo Hue a try.

A friend convinced us to come here for great pho and as yelper I m always up for giving different pho restaurants a chance. It s very hard to find a unique and outstanding pho flavor that will influence me to come back over and over again like a good woman. But the pho here lacked a unique flavor and missing specials like Kobe beef or bone marrows etc. This is just another pho place around the block nothing special and any unique flavor.

My mom ordered Bun Rieu- noodles was over cooked. We also ordered two rice plates- the meat was old and over cooked. The soup that came with it also was salty. We let them know about the complaint- but all did was say sorry???!!

I used to eat bun bo Hue at Pho Tay Do all the time. However after trying bun bo Hue here, I think this is it. Their bun bo Hue is very authentic. It tastes exactly like the one I ate growing up in Vietnam. Flavorful broth and lots of meat. The beef flank in the soup is so moist and soft. Make sure to put chili oil in your bun bo Hue (if you like spicy). The bowl size over here is much bigger than other places. I ordered a regular bowl and it felt like a large bowl. Their menu looks really good. I definitely will come back for their Bun Rieu. Updated: I came back for Bun Rieu and Bo Kho. Both of them are soooo gooood. Probably the best Bun Rieu I have eaten in DFW. The beef in Bo Kho is so soft and tender. Also keep in mind that they close on Monday.

Usually, come here for bun bo hue (pork, beef & blood cube soup). They have the best in town, in my opinion. Decided to try the duck noodle soup and it was amazing! Broth was light and clean. Love the garnishes and side dipping sauce. Their pho is decent. Place is spacious and clean.

We came here at 7pm on Sunday and there was no Bun Bo Hue left. We drove for almost 40mins to get there so it was a huge disappointment. We ordered Pho and both got reactions with MSG. The taste is pretty on point

Very classic Vietnamese restaurant with some very flavorful pho. I was surprised when the herb platter they provided had saw leaf or Mexican coriander! This is a great location to bring the whole family, or introduce people into Vietnamese cuisine

Oh man! That was the best meal ever. Vietnamese or other. Always been my go-to with coworkers. But tonight I got takeout for the family. Wow. Huge servings, hot food, delicious comfort flavor throughout. My whole family raved and this isn t their kinda food. It is now. I m just really impressed. Best pho in the area (best I ve had in the state), say the same for the spring rolls and peanut sauce, and tonight they proved that they can replicate that level with take out and vermicelli bowls. That rarely happens. I had to post. Too good not to.
