Food was great as always! Really good! The only issue I had was when I placed my order at the counter. I noticed an automatic 18% gratuity added to my bill on a self service counter order. While I don t mind tipping and I gladly gave them a $5 cash tip. My opinion is that this is deceptive and very excessive because I had to place my own order, get my own drinks/ refills, get my own food containers, seat myself and get anything else I needed. I told cashier I used to be a server but only paid $1.75 plus tips but I provided a full service experience. She was clearly agitated and begrudgingly took it off. I still tipped in cash just not the $28 for a self service counter order. they wanted. She replied that they were paid a good hourly wage and that was extra and divided amongst staff. She stated I should understand if I worked in service? Hello I gave a $5 cash tip. As a server I provided full service for a non-described amount and sometimes nothing. That entailed seating customer, taking drinks and appetizer order, bringing food, ensuring drinks were topped off, cleaning the table, ensuring everyone was happy and well taken care of through their meal. The total experience! Am I wrong in thinking this tipping thing at self service businesses are getting out of hand? I wonder how many people have paid the hidden gratuity and dropped money in the glass tip jar on counter unknowingly.

We would always drive by this restaurant but never stopped to try it because I m really picky with seafood. My work colleague highly recommended it so we finally decided to try it. Our daughter ordered the shrimp boil ( medium) the shrimp were really big and the sauce was incredibly tasty! The corn was delicious and garlicky. We also ordered the chicken fried rice, which was really good and a good size. My husband liked the calamari but I wasn t a huge fan. We came back 2 days later just for the fried rice! The 2nd time, the portion was more generous, however the side order of the corn and potatoes lacked flavor and the sauce was really tart instead of garlicky. I forgot to take pics the first day :( Service on both days was extremely friendly and welcoming. We will definitely be back.

Everything was on point. There was a live banda playing when we went on Sunday and the place was full but there was open seating in the main area with the band or you can go to the closed off area where you can still hear the banda but also enjoy conversation. We had the combo platter (shrimp and Crab boil), fried catfish, caldo de pescado y camaron, mojarra Frita, and a michelada. You order first, pay, and then find your table. The food started coming out incredibly fast, the service and the vibes were immaculate! 10/10 to the staff here, everyone obviously works well together and efficiently to service such a huge place quickly and quality food! Can t wait to go back!

I have eaten here a few times and usually get the amazing catfish. Always fried perfectly and great southern corn meal based batter. I tried the whole fried tilapia this time and it was so good, I might come back tomorrow. Always friendly staff and lots of condiment options.

Friends and i decided to give this place a try last night. Will just make this short and sweet. Guy that took our order was nice. Had no complaints about the staff, everyone i encountered was nice. The food just was not good. I had the fried catfish and shrimp. The shrimp was just bland and dry, dry, dry. The catfish had no flavor either. I actually left most of the second fillet on the plate. Not sure how there is a 4.5 star review on this place. Maybe it is from reviews of all their stores combined. Was My new best place to eat great service. For 3 Years that I have been coming here. Now I feel that this is my last time here. lately food has been getting less and less tasteful. I also remember that the platter is not as good as it used to be the spices are different also the plate they serve them in dont stay warm like they used too. It cools down quick and the food gets cold. Again the taste has left the plate dont know what they did different or why. The atmosphere is still good live music is great but sadly I will not go back.

This location was much larger than the Plano location. The menu was much larger as well. I opted for 2 baskets : fried oysters (even tho the month has an r) with onion rings and coconut shrimp with fries. Both were generous portions served piping hot and crisp. They have a daily special board as well, which featured a grilled selection. I also noted a stage area, and the woman behind the counter told me they have a Mariachi band on Fridays and live music on Saturday and Sunday. I will definitely be giving this place another visit.

We went on a Friday night for dinner with a friend on his birthday and man was it fun. Full bar. Live mariachi with an entertainer to sing and live it up. Mariachi is well known and terrific. Food was great and a full bar. It is valet only, I believe.

Food is never really consistent. Ill have a decent amount of food one time and other times i will be disappointed with how much they cut out. First time here and I love it! I will give it a five star on the food too but I think the vuelve a la vida cocktail (shrimp, octopus,oyster and fish) was missing a little more pico de Gallo and some catsup, other than that it was great! It has a lot of the to keep you busy from the beginning to the end! I got the big size. The place is clean and the service was pretty good! Everyone was so friendly and happy to help you. I will be coming back!! Kid-friendliness: It ok to take your kids and they have kids plates too.
