Texas Southern Gospel Festival. A great performance (first noght of four different blocks). But I dont think Eisenmann was the best choice of venue. The seating was good. The stage crew had several issues with setup and changes between groups. The lobby was not really conducive to the merchandise tables at intermission. The restrooms are too close together to accommodate crowds. But the concessions werent unreasonable like some places, and the parking was sufficient. Although a hundred of us mature citizens trying to get out at once was amusing.

Great place to go and watch any kind of event. The facility has three different theaters to accommodate a large range of events. They also host several corporate events as well. If you plan to stay while attending an event, I recommend the Renaissance across the street.

My husband and I went to a performance recently, and I was very impressed with the elegance of the building, the helpfulness of the ushers, and the quality of the show that was presented. I have lived in Richardson for 15 years, and this was my first visit to the Eisemann Center. It wont be my last.

Took very long to respond when trying to rent the BOA Theater. Did not communicate at all, I had to call them 5 times until they said it would take weeks to process. They were very bad at communication. We wanted to rent the BOA theater and didnt get any emails or confirmation. Its better you go and book with another theater.

I recently attended the Salim Sulaiman concert at the Charles W. Eisemann Center for Performing Arts and Corporate Presentations in Richardson, TX, and it was a fantastic experience. The facility is excellent, spacious, and multi-level, providing a great view from any seat. The sound and lighting were awesome, enhancing the overall performance. The seats were comfortable, allowing for a pleasant and relaxing evening. Drink options were reasonably priced with $11 champagne and hard drinks, and $3 for water. There are also free water fountains available for convenience. Parking was only $5, and the crowd and traffic management were top-notch, making for a hassle-free arrival and departure. Overall, the Eisemann Center is an outstanding venue, and I thoroughly enjoyed the concert. Highly recommended for any event!

The Eisemann Center is a great facility for concerts. We attended for the first time to see Judy Collins perform with the Richardson Symphony Orchestra. The hall is beautiful, and they have two large screens on the side to provide closeups of the performers. We used the parking garage attached to the Center, which meant we didnt have to go outside. We also used prepaid parking for simplesity when we left. It made for a very pleasant experience and we will be back.

UPDATE Jan 2023: Return visit for the The Dimension of Death black and white production. Harry sort of solves the murders again. At curtain call the cast stood for photos since they werent doing a hello/handshake post-show. EARLIER REVIEW: Still a great venue (1st here in 2016 or maybe earlier). We were here a few months ago for a Plano Community Band concert. Today was a stage play done as if a black and white movie or early TV show. Great concept and funny acting. It has been several yrs since we have seen this production. Take a look at photos that they allow at curtain call to get an idea of the makeup and lighting look. Neat.

Smaller than what the images show the theater to be. Bring a jacket as they keep it cold. The staff are nice and they offer a good variety of concessions. The playbill could be much more informative. Rather than simply naming cast and sponsors, let the readers be able to track the progress by listing scenes/songs.

Very nice location and venue. Parking is ample. Organized ticketing. One thing to control is.... seating. We purchased front row expensive tickets for a recent concert, some seats were available and many from the back started coming up front and taking them... not really my problem, except they start constantly standing up and taking selfies and videos and blocking those that actually paid more to have a good view. A security came by and ushered them away, and was bribed and then allowed them to continue. Check your security and make sure it doesnt happen. What is the point of having more expensive front row seats and allowing crowds to gather and stand up front?

All in the same short corridor. The restroom lines are the worst Ive seen in a public venue. Zero stars!

Dont pay extra for good seats, theyre not good.

A friend and I visited the Eisemann Center for the first time at the early part of July 2023 for an event with The Home Edit. I was fine with the security screening, bag checks, and ticket scans. I realize all those things are necessary in this day and age. However, what was incredibly upsetting was once inside the arena, while my friend and I were trying to locate our seats, a man came up to me (and only me) demanding to see my ticket. I politely showed it to him as he claimed to be checking something on it. He quickly scanned it, said he saw what he needed to see, and then my friend and I found our seats. After sitting down, I thought back to that gentleman and wondered why he singled me out. My friend was standing next to me and had her ticket out (prepared for him to ask to see hers next) but he didn t. Could it be that I was one of the very few people of color in the arena that night? I don t like to jump to conclusions like that because honestly, it feels anachronistic. It was very unsettling and my friend who was with me (she is white) was not singled out even though we were together. I kept looking back at him to see if he was asking anyone else to see their tickets. He never did. Very curious. After the event ended, as we headed out, some of the ushers said we could turn in our souvenir fans of The Home Edit team. I asked if I could keep it and one of them said Sure. So we proceeded to walk toward the exit when one member of the security team yells at me that I need to turn in the fan. I politely told her we were told we could keep it. She begins to angrily yell at me that I need to turn it in. At this point, I dropped it into the collection bin and left. Clearly communication and training on how to treat patrons was lacking within the staff. Because of that lack of communication and training, I was left befuddled and perturbed. At this point, I m avoiding the Eisemann Center for the foreseeable future. All of the issues I encountered could ve been easily avoided. I hope they can do better in the future. All in all, I left deeply disappointed and would not recommend this venue.
