I wish there was a rating of ZERO but the best I can do is leave the review. I was in line, but was completely looked over and people that came in AFTER me were served. There was no manager on duty so I could not report this at the time but I did tell of of the workers. There was no efforts made to make anything right. This was the first time I have visited this establishment and most likely the last!

Ended up getting someone else s food. Called to explain..couple days went by wanted to pick up the right order that I had order after work.. talked to manager about 1:30ish he said nothing was written down from when I first called and long story short he pulled my order up and said he will have it made around 5ish. I called when I got off and the guy working drive thru don t know his name just know he was very rude claim he didn t see anything about my order and just really unprofessional which explains a lot after seeing him.. went up there and seen my order black and white tape on their wall and pointed it out. went to check it before leaving because I seen the guy I talked to on phone walk over there and realized he didn t know what he was talking about and I guess he got mad at me instead of hisself and didn t put my fried rice and noodles in with one of my orders.. all I can say is grown men needs to have grown jobs and leave the food industry to the hard working kids..

Hate to leave a bad review when the staff is so nice. But as friendly as the employees are, the food is simply trash. Worse than mall Chinese food. Fried rice has no flavor. The egg roll has no flavor. The wings ..no flavor. I m not sure how it s possible to make food this bad. Again shout out the staff who were super friendly and happy to take my order so close to closing. But, yeah . I won t be back.

My family were looking at the food, which was old and nasty. We decide to order some thing fresh. During thst time we werent greeted or acknowledged. Waited almost 10 minutes just to be acknowledged to order food. The employee felt it was more urgent to work on packing fortune cookies. A lady walked out the back looking depressed and exasperated with the handling of restaurant. LOOKED SHE WAS GOING TO DIE THEN AND THERE...The cook saw us there, but didnt do anything to get the fortune cookie packer. The customers were rude and thought this great top of the line found. The food looked like trashheap i would feed swine. The fortune cookie employee finally saw us but did little to offer her time. We were fed up and left.

No heat in the kung pao. Many dishes pre made and drying out. Hot sour soup actually had a skin on it in the warmer trays. Though portions were super generous, no vegetables in some dishes. Dumplings were dry and not fresh. They sadly were understaffed.

This was a hard one to rate. The young lady at the register was nice and carrying everything you hope for in interaction with customerservice. However, the food is mediocre. I can actually make it better myself, not to mention the lobby is falling apart, tables rocking to the point of could fall over tables, and seats sticky and dirty. I will say they had the best egg drop soup I have ever had! That I cant make myself.

Mings is my go to place for take-out. This is the only place in Tyler that hasnt changed since Covid. Everytime I go here everything tastes fresh and well prepared. The staff is helpful, even giving you samples if you are unsure of something. The steam table is very affordable and has good options. My personal favs are the calamari, which is fried fresh, and Pepper shrimp is crispy and well seasoned. Also the Jalapeno chicken is very tasty. Overall I will continue to go here for there great food, prices, and friendly staff.

This is a regular spot, It has been for me since they first opened. Mings Cafe is always awesome. You may have to wait Only because it is all prepared fresh. If you walk inside staff is a little lacking on introduction One of the reasons Im giving it four stars. They are true to quality and taste absolutely producing something that is both delicious and enjoyable. We got two egg rolls two plates of combination lo mein and an order of peppered shrimp with lo mein. Mings has stayed true to the taste over these many years and have added several fun menu items that are also delicious and savory like bourbon chicken and peppered shrimp. This is not the first time Ive gotten the pepper shrimp but it is always awesome in consistency light crunchy and wonderfully flavored. Theyre lo mein is delicious whether you get the combination or just regular, If you happen to get the combination you get steak chicken and shrimp with wonderful vegetables and if you get the regular its just as good. The only thing I would recommend to the current owner is if your steam table says its open till 8:30 it needs to be open till 8:30 and fully stocked We walked in, at 8:00 and were told what you see is what you get. This is not an okay standard One of the things the original owner honored was even if you came in at 8:25 she was going to make it fresh if it says it was open till 8:30 it was going to be.

First thing is that the menu is broad, with numerous delicious-appearing entries (including entrees). For example, there are three kinds of soup. The rest of the menu is similar. Lots of yummy choices. I dont remember what I was eating that I photographed, but it was really good. Its one of the reasons Im giving a glowing review. Counter crew was a happy crew. The food arrived quickly, but reasonable prep time. The place was clean, the atmosphere relaxed. Oh, the price. $17 for 2 customers. Also attractive! Yyyupp! I thoroughly enjoyed my visit. Count on my return! UPDATE - I had calamari. It was a bit rubbery, just like calamari is supposed to be. Another 5-star experience. Parking: Somewhat busy because folks eat here! Dont worry, youll find a spot. Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp from parking lot to restaurant.

Ngl the workers are really nice and cool. This is the worst food Ive ever eaten anywhere. This is my 4th time ever eating here in a decade of being in tyler. I wanted chinese and everything else was closed. Mannn the rice is crunchy, the egg rolls taste like how dog kibble smells, and the chicken has the texture of mashed potatoes. Im so so so serious that panda express is better and cheaper. That being said if you want Asian cuisine stick with go fish, Mikoto, Wasabi etc I made a poor decision and now I reap the consequences of my actions. Shoutout the guy at the window tho, really cool.

Oh dear. Usually, their food is great, but something went horribly wrong with takeout tonight. House chicken and fried rice was decent. Lemon chicken was essentially inedible. I couldn t even stab a fork in it. It did not appear overcooked. I think it may have baked and dried out under a heat lamp for a couple days. Honestly., it was like concrete, not even the texture of jerky, I was starved, so I nibbled on the extremely crunchy batter. In the picture, the middle golden part is the fossilized chicken that made a clanking sound when I banged it on the counter. Moral of the story: request they give you recently cooked chicken. I can eat just about anything as I am not too picky, but this was crazy. Even the cat couldn t make headway on it, and being as hard as a chicken bone, I was afraid to feed it to the dogs.

My go to take out Chinese restaurant (and sometimes dine in) in town. If you loved Liangs circa 1990-2010 then youll love Mings! Price range depends if you order entree or from the steam table. You can eat for under $10 at lunch off the steam table but probably paying $12-15+ if ordering an entree and drink. Pepper steak, Kung Pao chicken, shredded szechaun beef, crab rangoon, both hot and sour and egg drop soup are all excellent. I usually get one entree with noodles/lo mein and an order of the combination fried rice.

The food was OK for American-Chinese. Compared to the same in Dallas, it was a step down, but I will return to see if I got there on a bad. The food seemed overcooked and over sauced. Pleasant staff at the drive-through a little slowerwhich I would have excused if it had been more fresh. When I got it home, it was hot and tasteful but visually unappealing because of the aforementioned.

Feel bad for the owner. We waited in line WAY too long for our food, lady taking orders was EXTREMELY rude, dismissive and just flat out ignored us; kept her back turned to us the entire time and the other two guys were extremely unprofessional and unsanitary throwing things around the restaurant back and forth at each other, picking it up off the fooor, touching their face, mouth and continuously adjusting his hat and not once washed his hands before handling food. I had to get the owners attention when she came out from the back and let her know and also asked for a refund because of the horrible service and I was genuinely afraid of getting sick from contamination. Things looked very dirty inside. Will never go back and I hope for the owners sake, they fire everyone in front and start over!

We ordered take out tonight. I had the vegetarian dish. The veggies were swimming in some sort of gravy and very greasy. The veggies were also very cold and frozen. The Noodles were also swimming in grease and did not taste very good. My husband ordered beef and broccoli. He said it was not very good at all. He said panda express was actually better at this point. My son ordered crab rangoons and they did not have any crab, it was just cream cheese. I ordered extra noodles for him but didnt get them , not that we would have been able to eat them anyway. My husband tried to finish my meal as he doesnt like to waste food but I literally am sitting here with an upset stomach from whatever it was that we ate. I stopped after a few bites. We will not be back. I do not recommend this place unless you like your food extra soggy and swimming in this white weird sauce. Wish I could get a refund, as this was the worst excuse of food I have ever eaten.

My husband & I like to split the house chicken & fried rice. I also typically like to get a spring roll. Weve always had good service & food at Mings. Tables & floors were clean.

So I had no idea what to get. If you are in the same boat the Jalapeno Chicken is phenomenal. The noodles and the food were both fresh. Very good!!

Mings has fantastic food for a fair price. I can eat one meal 3 or 4 times. They are locally owned and I prefer their food to any other place in town.

Normally dont go here because of the traffic and the parking-drivethru is a pain. Prices are higher than every other Chinese restaurant in area. Food is good but not great. Was in that area and didnt want to drive to other parts of Tyler. Parking: One way in and out can be difficult.

Ok, look. Im not looking to hurt anyone, but this was, seriously, in the top 3 WORST food, not just Chinese food, but worst food Ive ever eaten. Im from NYC and have lived and worked in most major cities in this country, and traveled pretty extensively to Europe. The Asian lady behind the counter literally laughed when I asked if they cook Szechuan, Hunan or what. The American gentleman who worked the counter, who said hes been there for seven years and needs to move on, was robotically polite, but offered nothing in the way of information or marketing if not asked a question. The Asian woman could not have been less informed or helpful. I can safely assume she is the owner or related to ownership. I ordered fried meat dumplings and a Szechuan style beef with broccoli. I opted for lo mein noodles, instead of rice. I was dining in, but the food was packed in a bag, in Styrofoam packaging. The gentleman said its because of Covid 19. I guess they dont know that covid is past. VERY long story short, the dumplings were well done fried frozen wontons, the noodles were overcooked fettuccine noodles and were drowning in grease and oil, no sauce, just greasy oil, and the beef was stringy and tough, and with the broccoli, was in a POOL of greasy brown sauce. This is NO exaggeration. In fact, Im not describing, adequately, how awful this was. It was a compete waste of money. 2 hours in the bag old Wataburger would have been better. OBVIOUSLY, I did not finish after my first few bites. Returning it or complaining would have been a waste of time. Oh, as I was eating, the Asian woman and American worker were talking about antibiotics needed for some infected person. Just what you want to hear while eating this horrid, horrid food. They brag that their portions are huge. And they are. So I see their popularity with the big eaters crowd, to be nice, but its just a big, giant portion of greasy horrible food. Again, I am NOT exaggerating. And the tables and floor were FILTHY. Imagine the kitchen... Believe me. Pass on this place.

We love Mings. Their service can be a little slow BUT the food is good! My favorite appetizer is the Thai egg rolls. The come with lettuce and cabbage and a light citrus dressing to dip them in. The lettuce and cabbage give the rolls a fresh crunch. My favorite thing to get would be the lo-mein its so so good. But there are so many other choices that are good as well! The mushroom chicken comes in second for my favorite main entree. Ive included a picture of the menu.

I order here a lot and love it every time, but tonight in particular (christmas) I want to just say that this place went above and beyond. Busy as I ve ever seen them, but everyone got their food. It was hot, fresh, and exactly what I ordered. They didn t have to be open on Christmas, but I m thankful they were for the people without family around to celebrate the holidays with. Way to go, Ming s team. I loved ya before and I love ya even more now.

Yummy! I got the lemon chicken(with fried rice and noodles) with crab ragoons. The lemon sauce was so so so good and unexpected! It reminded me of lemon curd with how it taste. The fried rice was perfectly light and fluffy without being drenched in soy, and the noodles had a bright flavor profile I was amazed by! The crab ragoons also have a beautiful bold flavor. Please forgive my lack of pictures as I gobbled my food up! Woops!

My family and I have enjoyed the food here for many years. We still do! But, since theyve been under new ownership, the service has gone downhill. The staff is more rude than friendly, especially the girl up front. The food is still good, but the treatment of your customers isnt.

What happened to the old Mings. No more plates, service, mustard, and quiet. The order taker talked like she was from NYC (so fast I could not understand and she didnt care). They call your name to pick up your food in Styrofoam. Just keep driving by. Food

First time back in several months. Seems to be back to the place I used to know. Great food and service today. Used to be one of the best spots in Tyler for Chinese food. Food is still good but service has gotten slow. I order from the steam table, but they wait on cooked orders before making my plate. Service was better today, but the employee that took my order walked off right after leaving only one person on the front counter at 12.15. Not the same place it used to be, but it has improved since the last time I went. May try again in another 3 months.
